"A stone’s throw from La Madeleine district, Akrame Benallal, a live wire if ever there was, operates in a surprisingly secretive establishment, hidden by a huge coach gateway. A fan of Pierre Soulages’ work, the fashionably trendy, cutting-edge interior is dominated by black, enhanced by a few photos and sculptures… The menu shines the spotlight on first-class ingredients, inventive recipes and carefully crafted dishes; the “carte blanche” menus are a treasure trove of bold surprises." - Michelin Inspector

Great experience on March 3rd! Great dinner, amazing food with different combinations and mixtures, with a fantastic wine pairing suggested by the sommelier. And the place is super cozy and modern. A must go in Paris!

Akrame delivers a Michelin-star experience with visually stunning and artfully crafted dishes. The tender lamb with vibrant sauces and the seafood draped in bold charcoal sauce showcase creativity. A refined dining experience in Paris!

The dining experience was truly on another level. The menu was thoughtfully designed, and every dish had a little surprise—whether it was in the way the food was cooked, the presentation, or a creative twist on flavor. The food was amazing: bold in flavor yet restrained, and perfectly balanced in both taste and texture. The service was attentive and elegant, with a pace that felt just right. The restaurant’s ambiance is modern, with a cohesive black theme that runs throughout the space. Highly recommended—it was an unforgettable and exceptional gastronomic experience in Paris.

What can I say, just a stunning restaurant, great service, extraordinary flavors, I haven't had such a good culinary experience in a long time, we took the 4 course lunch menu, we got 4 stunning dishes, each one of a kind, and in addition, beautiful appetizers that only make you want more. In addition, the price was completely fair and the value For money was very fair highly recommend

Google
An exquisite time with really surprising dishes. We loved: the quiet time-suspended experience from dining in the courtyard; the translucent raviole as “patisserie” showcasing an extreme makeover to a most loved cuisine classic the perfect service from all staff The homemade black charcoal oil And so much more. Really great restaurant

Google
Excellent service, cozy atmosphere just a few tables. Presentation of the dishes is definitely at a Michelin Star level. The taste of the dishes was good, but from the whole menu just 1 really stood out for me, asparagus with coal, the rest were just as expected but without surprising my taste buds. Also the butter with vegetable coal was excellent! Fixed menu 200€, glass of champagne 30€. Overall very pleasant experience.

I visited Akrame as a solo diner new to Michelin star dining and was not sure what to expect. That staff was very welcoming and friendly and were very accommodating regarding my allergies. The wine list and tasting menu were explained to me throughly in a helpful, non-pretentious way. The tasting menu was exciting, complex, and artfully presented while still being tasty and filling. I was definitely not left hungry my the end of the meal. Highlights for me were the caviar with avocado creme and vodka jelly, and the Richard sorbet with peanut butter. Hope to come back soon!

Google
I am disappointed with the lack of color and umami combination in the food presentation. The main dishes lack variety in taste and structure, missing salt and fun in flavor. The staff's chaotic atmosphere is a concern, though i've noted the professionalism of the lady waiter and the oldest black guy. I could suggest that the rest of the staff needs training. Unfortunately, i do not recommend the restaurant based on my experience.

Yelp
We stopped by Akrame for lunch during our trip in Paris, and while it was clearly Michelin quality preparation, the food failed to blow us away. The one thing that made me a bit upset at the restaurant was that they served us chicken for our entree, and while it was well-cooked, it wasn't memorable in any way. For a Michelin starred restaurant, we didn't expect that we would be served chicken, which tends to be a cheaper ingredient compared to other proteins. The fish course was also a bit lackluster - well-cooked but no flavors that jumped out at us. Perhaps this place is better for dinner, but we likely won't be coming back any time soon. Given the wide selection of amazing restaurants in Paris, there are plenty of other places to enjoy a delicious meal for far less.

Yelp
We booked dinner for 4 couples (8 people) and totally enjoyed the food and service. The dinner took about 3.5 hours but it was so enjoyable. The food is delicious and well decorated. We are from the US and our waiter spoke perfect English because he is a well traveled Canadian. We will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
KenScale: 9.0/10 Akrame is an eponymous restaurant from young chef Akrame Benallal who previously worked with culinary legends like Ferran Adrià and Pierre Gagnaire. He opened this restaurant near Champs-Elysees in 2011, and it has quickly been one of the hottest tables since, culminating in two Michelin stars, a rare feat for a restaurant in such a short time. I came over for lunch and was deeply impressed with the food coming out of the kitchen at this restaurant with a rather small yet minimalist and cozy dining room. There are several tasting menu options but I went with the 90-euro one with four courses, although there were additional small dishes here and there. If there is a description that could fit this restaurant's culinary philosophy, it would be playfulness with technical sophistication. Each dish had unexpected surprises but that didn't compromise the execution. I already sensed this restaurant was not playing around when I tasted absolutely juicy clams submerged in white wine foam that was absolutely delicious. Pollock that came with artichoke, onion and peanut sauce was also excellent. Sometimes unexpected surprises came for more decorative purposes than adding another dimension to the dish. I wouldn't have thought popcorn belongs to a dish of pigeon and corn, but there was nothing to complain about the texture of perfectly cooked pigeon meat. The desserts also showed flashes of brilliance. I was surprised to see avocado in a dessert plate, but it worked very well with white chocolate and banana pieces. I haven't seen ice cream made of pepper flavor and it somehow created unique flavor with mango and herb cream. My favorite of the three dessert plates, however, was the milk ice cream that was just absolutely refreshing. The restaurant has some nice wine list, so definitely try a glass or two. Akrame is another casual-looking restaurant with very put together staffs with attentive and professional services. The restaurant is another place worth visiting during your time in Paris. If you want to see technical brilliance behind some unexpected combination of ingredients, Akrame will definitely make you happy.

Yelp
A 9/10, well deserved. The staff is great, friendly and really listening to offer suggestions. The food is in relatively small portions, but with great taste. Close to the arc de triomphe, it is a nice place to have dinner. It gets a bit noisy, but it is definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Impressed by the design of the place, the concept of a minimalist menu and the style of the waiters Not impressed at all by the cuisine which was complicated for nothing, pretentious and served in ridiculously small portions.

Yelp
The place is on a quiet street very close to the Arc de Triomophe. It's a small restaurant that seats about 25 people. It was clean, modern, but almost a little sterile. There was only one table of 4 there, but it quickly filled up. There is no menu so you have to be very open minded about food because you just don't know what's going to come out. They do ask about food allergies. The amuse bouche was okay. I liked 2 out of 4. The best was a grilled fish on squid ink paper. It was smoky and crispy. The salmon roe on endive was nice too. I don't even remember what the other 2 were. That's how remarkable they were. We opted for the 3 course for 45€. There is a 4 course for 80€ and 6 course I think for 100€. The first course was cockles in a red wine foam. There was also pickled onions and a garlicky sauce and sprouts. This one was really good. The cockles were fresh and had just the right amount of chewiness. There were so many different layers of flavor that just complemented each other. The second course was duck breast with beets. The duck was flavorful and well cooked- crisp crust on the outside with the meat being moist. This dish was good, but not very interesting. They asked if we wanted a cheese dish before dessert and we opted for it. It was a soft cheese layered with mushrooms sort of like a Napoleon. They poured a mushroom consommé over it. It was good, but nothing to wrote home about. They gave is a piece of frozen margarita as a palate cleanser. It was really strong in a way that a bad margarita tastes. I've had something like that before that was more enjoyable. The dessert was called a "floating island" or something. It was pear with black caramel foam. It was interesting. Definitely some molecular gastronomy going on, but the flavors were just kind of...meh. There was a layer of some sort of speckled agar on top. Underneath were finely diced pear, but I didn't get much pear flavor. It was surrounded by a black caramel foam, which to me kind of tasted like very dilute coffee. As far as service, they were very attentive and polite, but I just felt it was stiff. I am not a stranger to fine dining, but I felt a little awkward there. I'm not sure if it's French custom to ask for the check, but we sat for a good while after our meal was over just waiting. They had cleared our table, but never came by to ask us if we needed anything else or the bill. It was like they forgot about us for awhile. We finally had to flag someone down. I could tell that ingredients were of high quality, and the food was technically cooked well, but I just didn't have those "mmm omg moments." I think I was expecting more from a place that just received 2 Michelin stars. It was probably the most I've ever spent on lunch (165€ for 2 with 2 glasses of wine, the extra cheese dish) which would've been okay if it was the best lunch ever, but it wasn't.

Yelp
We agreed. Best meal we'd ever had. A very intimate restaurant which seats about 40-50 patrons in total, with a serving and kitchen staff that numbered around 8 in total. The entire meal had a very personal feel to it. Not bad on pricing for a Michelin Star evening: the 6 course option with wine pairing was ~140 Euro per person. The standout course for us was the dessert. The table was brought a small covered barbecue, opened ceremoniously to reveal charred pears. The pears were coupled with a delicate vanilla creme, and a chocolate gelato. The presentation, the balance of flavors. Top notch. We would go back to Paris just to eat here again!

Yelp
I brought my partner here as part of her suprise 30th birthday treat to Paris, I had only found the place by chance from internet searches. It has to be one of the luckiest finds i have had, the restaurant is a little bit hidden in Paris in an uninteresting street. The venue itself reasonably small catering for approx 30 people, this is perhaps how they manage to do what they do so well!!! The service was attentive from the moment you walk in, the decor is very modern and welcoming. We took the waiters recommendation and went for the top amount of courses, we were asked if we wanted the sweet breads as main or an alternative. We were advised that Chef rathers people try the sweetbreads and we were happy to be led. Along with the food we went for a pre-champagne and the 5 matching wines. The food was top notch! if I had to make one negative comment, it would be that the sweetbreads werent really for me but they were extreamely tasty and the whole experience was brilliant. Halfway through the chef came over and explained some of the dishes, we found out he had previously been working in El Bulli, which only furthered my partners enjoyment of the evening. The price is of course expensive, but no more than you would expect to pay for a fine dining experience. We will hopefully returning here one day, although I think the waiting list will be much longer!!!!

Yelp
Great experience. Chef was buzzing (in a good way) around the dining area and explaining all the dishes. Wait staff was excellent as was the tasting menu (a modern take on classic French cuisine). They spoke fine English (which is a plus when you don't speak much French and are visiting Paris).

Yelp
Very Nice restaurant. Two stars and it deserves it. The food is excellent. All dishes are well presented. The place is a bit small and without much character . You need to book in advance if you want a table. You can interact with the chief "Akrame". Dishes will be well-explained. A bit expensive but a unique experience.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dinner at Akrame. The restaurant is in a private hotel. Very modern space. The staff was very kind and funny. Also very accommodating. The food was very good. Didn't love everything. But there were some excellent dishes. The sweetbreads were some of the best I've had. The Chocolate petit four I had 5 of. Wow. They gave us chocolate bars to go as well. Recommend a visit. And look up when you walk into the main room.

Yelp
Small and intimate restaurant. Everything is outstanding. The food, wine, staff, atmosphere. Definitely worth the trip Paris alone.

Yelp
Fantastic dining experience. Such imagination. Very friendly staff and Chef was in the dining area most of the meal. Possibly some of the best dishes I've ever had. We were at Le Meurice yesterday ---and this experience was on par! Possibly better, I dare say. Also, everything was included in the meal, like espresso and multiple desserts/chocolate to take home at the end. Le Meurice nickel and dimed for everything, charging 25 euro for coffee and tea, 30 euro for one glass of wine. Wow.

Yelp
My wife and I visited Akrame on the recommendation of a friend. When we left, we said it was likely the best meal we'd ever had. It's been two days, and we've returned to New York, and I can comfortably say that it's still the best meal we've had. The service is absolutely impeccable, from being greeted at the door to having the chance to speak with Chef Benallal following our meal. We were welcomed with champagne in honor of my wife's birthday and the hospitality never ended. We enjoyed the 6 course menu, which along with amuse bouche and some palette cleansers, actually amounted to nearly 9 dishes. But we never felt full until the very end as the meal was perfectly paced. The dining room is wonderfully designed in muted colors, which drew our attention to the movement in the kitchen which is partially open in the back corner. The art on the walls of heavily tattooed models was striking and added to the fashionable but unpretentious feeling. And the food...well, there are really no words (but I'll give it a shot). Every course was creative, playful, very smart (one dish included tomatoes from Mont Saint-Michel that were served with a salt water "broth," a reference to the ocean tide separating the island from the mainland) and unbelievably tasty. Chef Benallal's creativity showed in whether he included a peanut sauce on top of fish or what appeared to be whipped avocado forming the base of our dessert to iced tomato-infused vodka as part of the aforementioned Mont Saint-Michel inspired dish. Everything was just wonderful. Back to the service. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, whether delivering and explaining dishes or simply chatting between courses. There was never a moment where we had to ask for anything: water and wine were refilled promptly, plates cleared, minor drips or spills cleaned up, napkins replaced. And at the close of the meal, we spent about five minutes chatting with Chef Benallal about the meal, the restaurant and his favorite places in New York. At the end of the meal, we were given a copy of the night's menu signed on the back by the entire staff. I could go on, but that says it all. This isn't a restaurant for the faint of wallet, necessarily, but it is the kind of restaurant that is worth saving for. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I assume this Akrame owns La Viande par Akrame at Printemps. Here is my review of their place there. We are frequent visitors to Paris and we love going to new places. We were told Printemps du Gout was a good place to lunch. Prior to coming over to lunch we wanted to see the place, we went to the 8th floor of Printemps where Printemps du Gout is located on April 21, 2018. We were told we did not need a reservation but to arrive early because it gets full fast. We chose La Viande par Akrame and arrived at 11:30 on April 22, 2018 for lunch. The manager of La Viande par Akrame was seating the guests and he was so disorganized it was pathetic. He came to ask us what we wanted to eat, even though he had not given us Menus. He brought us menus and we ordered. He brought us a bottle of water and our Rose wine without wine glasses. he opened the wine bottle and he left and was not returning, I stood up from our table and went over to ask him for two glasses so we could drink our wine and a bucket of ice - since the wine was not chilled. Upon finding him, I noticed he was busy having a glass of wine. The two glasses arrived but no bucket of ice for the wine to be chilled. He was not returning again, I went looking for him and again asked for the bucket with ice. A new lady server appeared and we asked her for the ice bucket. Waiting, waiting, waiting and no ice bucket arrives. The food arrived but no ice bucket for the wine, by this time the wine was hot. I got up again and found the manager and I told him, this is the 5th time I have asked you for an ice bucket, please get us one. Finally he brought one, just prior to finishing our food. Well, wish I could say something nice about the experience, I can't and the only thing I can say. Stay away and go enjoy La Fayette right across the street.

Yelp
Wow, what can I say...this place was just outstanding. Only about 10 tables so you want reservations. Service was impeccable and the food even better. Loved how you just choose the number of courses and the very cool presentations just start showing up. The way each course is presented is as thought out as the actual food.
