"When watery diner eggs won’t do, head to Kellogg’s for guajillo short rib hash, or maybe fried chicken on a biscuit dripping with honey butter. Besides the zhuzhed-up Tex-Mex/Southern dishes sprinkled among the breakfast classics, this Williamsburg diner also serves orange wine and cocktails (and fantastic desserts). "Kellogg’s Diner (open since 1924, reborn in2024) is a chrome-accented spot with dusty rose tables and Tex-Mex tendencies. The Williamsburg institution still serves eggs, but now you can get those eggs over guajillo short rib hash. It still checks the important diner boxes though: open 24 hours, big menu, hefty portions, and—very often—great vibes. Stop by for brunch and eat some fried chicken on a biscuit dripping with honey butter, or come by for a late-night plate of babyback ribs. "This revamped 24-hour diner is fun for the whole family, especially later at night. Kids sprawl in comfortable beige booths and scribble over Williamsburg landmarks on the paper placements, while people in short shorts and pink cowboy hats sink their teeth into saucy ribs at the bar. "Williamsburg’s iconic Kellogg’s Diner is back (though not yet open 24 hours) to fuel another generation of booth conversationalists with pancakes and chocolate egg creams. But now, they’ve gotten a glow-up involving shinier booths and also a little Tex-Mex twang, like fried pickles as crisp as potato chips, or enchiladas in a tangy tomatillo salsa. The prices are fairly reasonable (a burger is $14), and the portions are generous—but make sure you save space for creative desserts, like a passion fruit curd tart with Tajín-sprinkled meringue. "Finally, you can once again end the greatest nights of your life eating soup at Kellogg’s Diner, which is open after a nearly one year-long hiatus. The interior of the iconic Williamsburg diner got a facelift, as did the menu, now sprinkled with Tex-Mex spins on diner classics from the former chef at Nura. Think poblano meatloaf, fried pickles with ranch, and desserts like red eye chocolate cake. Once they get their feet under them, the diner will resume 24/7 service." - will hartman
