The hotel and restaurant are a gem! The room was very clean, comfortable and well thought out. |The restaurant was just excellent. The food and wine were perfect and at a gastronomic level of presentation and taste, while being generous and above all served with attention and humour. |It was a delight to get to know the owners. |We will be back soon.

This gorgeous hotel in Puylaurens was a real highlight of our month in France. The terrace, pool and restaurant area with great views across the valley was really picturesque and a nice spot to kick back and relax. Since the hotel does not have a lot of rooms it isn’t crowded and bar service here was a plus. Enjoyed the restaurant very much, lovely ambience at night and excellent food. We had chamber neuf and no complaints here either. Oversized, beautiful ceilings, a sense of history mixed with modern lux. The best part of staying here was the warm welcome from our host David Henri. We felt like we had come home and we were very well looked after.... just perfect.

|We had such a wonderful stay at Cap de Castel. As soon as we arrived we were relaxed. The room was delightful and styled beautifully, the food delicious… and the view from the hotel is one of the best we have ever seen. The surrounding areas are just stunning to drive around. But most of all, David, Pascal, Lisa and the whole team, were so welcoming and helpful. We could not have hoped for a better experience and will be back. It’s a very special place.

David, Lise and Pascal have created a little haven at Cap de Castel and they are fabulous at what they do. ||My room was beautiful, with a large window towards the mountains. The breakfast is thoughtfully done and I had dinner twice at the restaurant - really the best food I’ve had in a long while. ||It felt more like a lovely friend’s home you could be spoiled in. Thank you for the warm stay!

We booked this place at the last minute after having to cancel a villa holiday our friends from the UK couldn't get to because of the travel restrictions. The reason we booked it was because of the pool (which we were going to have with our villa booking). We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! The view from the terrace, indoor restaurant and the pool is incredible. The food was delicious with options to suit vegetarian/vegan requirements and the portions at breakfast and dinner left us full. If you're a spirits fan, you'll be pleased to see that the restaurant has carefully selected the spirits on their menu. No margin making by serving average spirits, instead you'll find brand like Gin Mare, the Botanist or Aberlour on the menu. But by far the best thing about this hotel is the service - and service doesn't really describe it well enough. All the staff were exceptional in their attention to us and were very approachable. We really felt at home during our stay and we'd happily stay there again!

I found myself with two days in the area, not wanting to return to Toulouse, and discovered the charming Cap de Castel. Located in a quiet, non-touristy village, this boutique hotel is both charming and off the radar. ||||The rooms, located in a 1900’s former distillery, are both charming and spacious. This isn’t a five star hotel, nor does it try to be, but if you love unassuming hidden gems, this is the one of them. It has the feel of a comfortable, quiet country home. ||||The property is quaint and beautiful, with a patio and pool area overlooking the Pyrenees in the distance. Service is friendly and prompt, and the restaurant is simple and sublime. Dinner al fresco here is a hard thing to top. ||||I don’t often write reviews but this was worth making the effort. Quaint, off the beaten path, unassuming and charming describe Cap de Castel perfectly.

Thank you to David, his sister, Pascal and wonderful staff. We had an amazing holiday celebrating a special 80th Birthday week. You all looked after us with great care, perfection and attention to detail. All our meals were worthy of a Michelin star and were creative stylish cuisine. We enjoyed the waiter singing to us and the music and dancing. ||||It is a wonderful court yard setting with dining inside or outside. The pool is set in a beautiful garden with lovely plants and a Love Island style area to chill out. The views are panoramic across to the Pyranees. The rooms are all amazing, clean and well decorated with lovely local L’Occitaine products in the en-suite bathrooms. We loved the interesting tours, with a fantastic guide Colin Duncan Taylor, that you arranged for us so we could discover what was in the surrounding area. His book Lauragais on the history of the area is a good read. ||||Thank you for arranging the taxi transfers to and from Toulouse Airport. Your attention to detail was amazing. You made our stay such a special time for us to spend together. This is my second visit and I will return again and recommend it as a special place to celebrate any special event or holiday. Thank you. Andrea

You feel welcome in this paradise, the premises are so well decorated and peaceful. You feel like you are the only one who matters. This is a fantastic hotel in a small typical village, so quiet and enjoyable. Breakfast is delightful, the staff is so kind and helpful... Do not hesitate, paradise on earth !
