"Fourteen steps lead you down to this friendly, cosy cellar restaurant in a beautiful old villa in Neustadt, where sandstone walls and brick vaults make for a special setting. In a wonderfully informal atmosphere, brother-and-sister team Marcus and Nicole Blonkowski serve interesting, modern and creative cuisine prepared using top-quality produce – and the value for money is hard to beat! There is a nicely curated à la carte selection, but you can also opt to give the kitchen team free rein to put together a surprise menu for you. The wine list features labels from eastern Germany exclusively, and they have made a point of including some lesser-known ones. This place also boasts a delightful terrace." - Michelin Inspector

The food was amazing! Every single dish was delicious! We had tasting menu. One can order fully vegetarian, pescatarian, or with meat. Absolutely recommend to come here when in Dresden! The only point is that all dishes were safe combinations of tastes, no experiments/risks. It is a pretty classic menu. Which in my case is a nice option, but for others could be different.

This was such an experience, it was not just dinner it was a production of flavors and even the wine had stories served with it. The food, staff, and restaurant itself were all amazing, delightful, and worth revisiting. 10/10 I will absolutely be coming back.

Fine dining experience in Dresden. The food was excellent, and the service was excellent. All the courses were super nicely prepared. We had the 6-course menu, which was 10 in the end because of a few greatings from the kitchen. The Michelin star is well deserved. The food is fancy but still tasty. Seasonal and local food used.

Came here on my first trip ever to Dresden (and Germany) and was very pleasantly surprised. I did the six course surprise menu which was too much food for me but very delicious. I was coming off of being sick so didn’t do the wine pairing but looked like a great value. There were a few veggie opening courses after an amuse Bouche that were great, a fish course that was also delicious, a duck course (would’ve liked a touch more salt on the meat), and a couple of dessert courses. I appreciated that they adapted the banana chocolate dessert to have less dairy for me and such fun texture combinations. If I have the opportunity to return to Dresden, I hope to be back!

We had the 8 course meal At the 6th dish we were already quite full But all the sauce added up was a bit too much Sauce was quite heavy though tasty Wine paring was fine Bad note The sommelier said that we had to rush as the restaurant was going to close at 15.30 although we came it at 12.30 The waitress was very professional taking note of our comments after our meal Overall good food ; duck was cooked to perfection Kalamansi dessert was a bitter too sour for my taste I would recommend cut down one plate for a more balanced full course meal We surely had some oysters and caviar for starters but I do not think that would have changed much Next time we pop in we will choose from the menu instead of the 8 course meal or a 6 course meal Very reasonably priced
