The Best Central Asian and Middle Eastern Kebabs in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Tucked into a Côte-des-Neiges brownstone, the brief menu at tiny Kebab Express offers the top Turkish skewer hits: iskender and adana kebabs made with minced halal lamb or chicken, and lamb cutlets grilled on a mangal grill. There’s a sandwich option for the skewers; Kebab Express’ yogurt sauce drizzled on an adana lamb kebab sandwich may just warrant repeat visits. Take-away is an option: Have some of the çorba red lentil soup while you’re waiting." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

Very fresh ingredients and the gentleman who served me was very polite and kind; he made sure everything was to my liking. It’s the first time I had the Turkish sandwich; had the beef one. The only thing I found lacking was the sandwich was not seasoned enough..

The food is decent, I got the chicken skewer sandwich. Nothing wow but does the job, especially for the price. For the quantity given, it’s really cheap considering the crazy inflation. Would definitely go back and try other options.

The food is so good! Very generous in the portion of food and super friendly lady to deal with. Very very affordable comparing to the portion and taste!! Also, you got to try the chicken shawarma sandwich, it is so so good ♥️🌸

Kebab Express is a good Turkish restaurant that is located in Down town. Due to its location, the prices are fair and affordable, especially for students. I tried the lentil soup. It was hot and the spicy taste was just perfect. I also ordered a doner kebab sandwich. The bread was fresh and tasty and the meat was tender and good. They add yogurt, pickles, red onions and veggies to it. The service was fast as one person was working and serving behind the counter. He was so fast and attentive to the dine in orders and take away ones. He cleaned all of the used tables on the spot after the customers. He offered me a very hot great cup of tea that was on time in a stormy weather. I recommend this restaurant especially for something fast, satisfied, and affordable.

Would return. I'd want to come back if not for the fact that there's not enough staff here, which makes ordering slow and your food to arrive +20-25mins. The first time I went in, I was ignored for 10mins due to them being so busy. The mixed plate is super worth it. 3 skewers, grilled over charcoal fresh to order. The rice is amazing, I actually finished it all because the flavours are so good. Doesn't come with garlic or hummus. Comes with small pickles/cabbage.

I ordered beef shawarma with rice. I said 10 times already and he did not understand at all. He gave me Beef with Fries and i don’t even know how to call that food. It’s not even the same on the picture. After serving the food, he got mad, He got the nerve to be mad and rude. He charged me for a trio order 18$ for that? I can’t accept it especially the attitude and service he gave. Im definitely not coming back here. What a really bad experience!!
