The 18 Best Restaurants in Cannes, France | Eater

"Chef Christian Sinicropi holds two Michelin stars at this elegant, airy dining room in one of the town’s most storied luxury hotels, the Art Deco Martinez. He is the distinguished dean of Cannes chefs — having cooked at La Palme d’Or for more than 20 years — and he champions local produce and flavors with dishes like shrimp-filled sausage with lamb tripe, turbot cooked in fig leaves, and a superb two-course citrus dessert that includes frozen lemons and a citrus souffle." - Lane Nieset

We found out about this incredible restaurant thanks to the Michelin Guide (1 star at the moment), and the Amex Platinum Dining collection. We did a 5-course tasting menu on a beautiful night in August. We were given a spectacular table on the terrace with a view. All courses were delicious and very well presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant, and felt like eating on a yacht.

Never been a Jean Imbert fan, but this surprised me. The cuisine here is refreshingly direct—Southern flavors done with real technique, no unnecessary flash. Simple dishes executed flawlessly. Service is razor-sharp, no missed beats. The terrace makes it special. Unique experience that actually lives up to the Martinez setting. Worth the hype, finally.

We did the tasting menu and it was a wonderful dining experience. The staff was attentive, the courses were brought out at a great pace, and the atmosphere and decor was executed well. It's clear why they earned two Michelin stars prior to renovations. Highly recommend.

La Palm d’Or took us on a journey with a film inspired menu influenced by the sea. Expect delicious seafood and fish dishes with perfect quality ingredients. The service was attentive, kind and up for a good joke. The restaurant itself reminded me of being on a superyacht. The only thing that led me to not give full star rating is that the price matches a three star Michelin restaurant and although the food was excellent and the service good, the experience cannot compete with the best restaurants of the world, hence the price of the menu is set bit to high. Anyway i highly recommend giving them a visit.

Went with family to Le Palme D’or for a special birthday dinner. An absolutely wonderful night. The food was fantastic as well as the service (special mention to Mr Vion, the sommelier who helped us choose an amazing wine). The new decor is also very neat and appealing. We had a table on the terrace with great views of the sunset on the Croisette. An unforgettable experience.

Great experience, every dish is like an art! I thought the food won’t be enough because the dish are all small portion, but at the end I am quite full! Nice food, great service, great view! Strongly recommend.

We took the Vegetarian menu and the Fish one. The first was surprisingly bad, the second one was clearly below our expectations. It's really a pity as the place and the service are very good. The personnel is very welcoming but the cuisine is too much below the standards to deserve a better mark. I hope it'll improve soon.

Google
Food disappointing. Service and sommelier recommendations were excellent however food was mediocre (not michelin star standard). The themed venue decor is odd (akin to a high end Hard Rock Café or Planet Hollywood). In short not good value at €250 per head. There are far better restaurants for food for the price. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Classy restaurant located in the Martinez Hotel, it needs a reservation if you want to go as it is always full, tourists from the hotel but itt is slso visited by many who do not stay at the hotel. If you arrive early you can stay at the bar/restaurant at the ground floor below, which is also quite nice, has live music and an interesting croud. The food is great here, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Cannes, prices are OK, I mean they reflect the locationn, as it should, you have privacy here and a great view. The staff is very professional, well mannered, dressed impecable, you feel good being here.

Yelp
Very confused that yelp isn't a bigger deal in France but I guess that makes sense? Currently on a trip around the southern coast of france and it's been quite lovely but also I don't particularly LOVE the food that I've had so I'm curious how it will keep progressing. La Palme d'Or is named after the most famous award for the Cannes Film Festival and is inside the Hotel Martinez. It's honestly a beautiful spot and a tribute to the festival as a whole. I think in 2024 they lost their two michelin stars (couldn't find it on the guide), but in previous years, it was two michelin star place and the way they treat their food is uppercase F fancy. We got the 3 course tasting menu (~$120 euros) which was definitely enough food. I will say, once again also not super wowed which is hilarious that someone else wrote this, especially compared to some other places that I've eaten that are also Michelin quality. The staff is REALLY kind and I will say the dining experience is definitely one of a kind (really fancy, the menus are typeset like scripts, it's just really beautiful). If you're in Cannes and want an uppercase E experience, I definitely recommend (and also booking a reservation in advance) but other than that, if you're someone who loves traveling and good food you can miss it. I will bias by saying that I personally love asian food / flavors and it was pretty lacking overall. The quality of the ingredients are stunning though

Yelp
Loved eating here. The staff was so accommodating. The food was great. The stone clay pots and the chicken and broth were phenomenal.

Yelp
The service, wine and view were excellent and the evening felt like a rare experience. The meal choices came in 'movements' with each course based one a protein. Mine was lagoustine et prawn. Although each course was very well made, although by the end of the meal I'd eaten a LOT of lagoustine and prawn. Iwould love to return for movements based on different spices or flavors. Eg, I'd love to try three courses based on lemon, or olive - it could be the meal of a lifetime. That said, it's up there on my list of memorable meals and it capped off a wonderful week in Cannes.

Yelp
This is one of the best places to celebrate The Big Deal you've just made during the Festival. And what's great about it is that it's far enough down the Croissette that you can avoid some (but of course not all) of the madness that goes closer to the Palais. Unlike some of the reviewer, I have been consistently "wowed" by the food every time I have been to La Palme d'Or. A superb restaurant by any definition.

Yelp
We had the tasting menu in late april and as everything was good, they failed to "wow" me as I had hoped a two star Michelin restaruant would. I also missed a paired wine menu for the tasting menu. Overall a very classy and nice place to dine.
