Visited on a Monday afternoon, so there were still some open seats when we arrived. We ordered the waiter’s recommendations: the Truffle Duck Benedict and the Dubai Chocolate French Toast. Both dishes were quite good. The duck was flavorful and the potato side was especially delicious—highly recommend it! The pistachio butter in the French toast wasn’t very strong, which was a bit disappointed. As for the mocha, the dark chocolate flavor was too strong covered the taste of coffee, a bit more like hot chocolate without overly sweet. Overall, the service was friendly and attentive, and the staff were nice. The restaurant environment was also pleasant. A good spot for brunch.

Google
Phenomenon restaurant! I can’t expect anything better. In the last couple of years they have kept the same quality. Huge out of the world fruit drinks. Ordered one for each two of us. Tried 2 dishes. Steak Avocado & Beef Cake. Both exceptionally tasty and mouthwatering! Liked the mushrooms so much in the Beef Cake.

Great food, huge portions. Service was good. I love the race theme of the restaurant very clean. Comfortable seating. I really enjoyed the Indecisive with blueberry and lemon pancakes. It was all good really.

Words fail me in describing this gem of a place, its ambience, food and service appropriately. Delicious pancakes and shakshuka. Incredible service by all but especially our very warm and charming server, Jess. You've got to come here to know it! Highly recommend. And oh, excellent music!

I visited L’avenue in Montreal with my cousin, and we had a great time! I went for the Los Cabo’s Chicken Waffle, and it was absolutely delicious. The dish features a corn waffle topped with crispy fried chicken, shallots, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sriracha sauce, and maple syrup. The combination of flavors was spot on—savory, spicy, and sweet, all in one bite. The corn waffle was light and crispy, the chicken was perfectly juicy, and the shallots and cheddar added a nice savory punch. The guacamole balanced the heat from the sriracha, and the maple syrup brought everything together with a touch of sweetness. It was filling but not too heavy, and every bite was a little bit different, which kept it interesting. My cousin, on the other hand, had the Indecisive Meal, which was a fun concept—basically a bit of everything classic breakfast food. He enjoyed it. The vibe at Lavenue was cozy, and the service was friendly, making it the perfect spot for a casual brunch. The prices are on the higher side for brunch, but the quality and creativity make it worth it. If you’re in Montreal and want something unique, definitely try the Los Cabo’s Chicken Waffle! Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok @Foxy.appetite and Instagram @Foxyappetite soon

Two thoughts come to mind after visiting this place for a second time. First thought is 1980's NYC atmosphere meets a food engineer. Flavor Architect to be specific. And secondly, If I would be asked what I'd like as my last meal on death row.. I would absolutely pick Anything from their menu. If "Life" has to be explained in a form of a "Single food dish", this is the place I'd order it from.

Google
Easily one of the best brunch spots in Montreal! The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect balance of creative and classic dishes, and every bite lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. But what truly set the experience apart was Laurie, our server. She was an absolute gem—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on and showed she genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. Laurie’s upbeat attitude and exceptional service added a personal touch that made the brunch unforgettable. Highly recommend this place—ask for Laurie if you can!

I’m not a fan of franchises, but L’Avenue offered a wide variety of food and beverage options, unlike the monotonous choices of eggs and other common items that can be found everywhere, even at home. This allowed me to experience different flavors and cuisines, at least for a few visits. So, I’ll give them credit for that. I saw friendly staff and quality of presentation in our visit. Between the portions we had I liked the Rib-eye stake avocado and hot chocolate was basic.

Yelp
Always my pleasure to visit this place in mtl. The food portion was like double regular size and taste is perfect...such a joy to meet your friends or family gathering here The cons? Long line-up as BAU like any other good brunch places on the planet They are famous for the crazy toilet and loud music, making you feel at the club lolll so you might wanna order a cocktail as the ending of your brunch. Who can say no?! Lovely lovely place

Yelp
Honestly, the music was as impressive as the food here, and that's telling since I thought their food was memorable. First off, the menu is available via QR code printed on each table. It had a 'trendy' vibe with a neon sort of lighting, and food came out without too much delay. Red shakshuka had a bold favour and the bread that came with it went perfectly with it. The indecisive was fun and the homemade sausage and the home fries were favour highlights. Where it lagged was the French toast with strawberry coulis and pistachio cream, because the French toast dry and we didn't eat all of it because of that. The fact that no one checked on our table during and after the meal and we had to crane our necks out to get the waitstaff attention didn't make for a great experience, either. All in all, out was s 3.5-star experience for me. I hope they continue to improve.

Yelp
Great brunch spot! Weekend spots fill up quickly so try to come early! We didn't have a wait at 9am this past Sunday. The vibes are super chill and casual. Staff is very friendly. I took a star off because we waited for 10 minutes at the door to even be acknowledged. Food was delicious! The lemon blueberry pancakes were so good and super filling. Not too sweet and not too tart. Parking can be a bit difficult to find as the street spots fill up very quickly. Cheers!

Yelp
Nice place for brunch! We all got the "indecisive" to try out the savoury and sweet options. My favorite for the sweet were the ricotta pancakes! Though the downside to this plate was that the portion for guacamole was very small. Cool decor and friendly service, though the food took some time to get out. Would definitely be worth a repeat visit!

Yelp
We were greeted & seated promptly upon arrival. Our server was informative, funny and went above and beyond (specifically in accommodating to my mothers dietary restrictions). The atmosphere was great for a group setting, lively but not as loud as mount royal location. We all demolished our meals. But I have to make special note that the "Saoudi Massoub Caramelized Banana: Panko-crusted and topped with bananas, dates, walnuts, and a coconut caramel sauce" was decadent and perfect. Every flavour, every texture, was thought-out and well balanced. Ive had many L'Avenue french toasts over the years and this takes the cake! *Highly recommend *

Yelp
When a lot of the breakfast places I located were closed for the day, L'Avenue in the Sud-Ouest area, rescued us. Especially on a gloomy and snowy Wednesday morning. As a heads up- this place gets crowded AND line forms if you so happen to miss the mark and end up coming here at 10ish+. We were actually lucky as we started our day early to tackle Antique and Vintage markets afterwards. The space is super funky, alive, colorful and their West African R&B, took L'Avenue to an entire stratosphere. It's all about fresh, healthy ingredients and creative breakfast and lunch dishes here. In my opinion, these folks make a tasty French Toast that's particularly devoid of that off-putting 'eggy' flavor usually found in them. It was thick as a muvva by the way- but boy was it was fluffy! My Smoked Salmon+Smashed Avocado on a pumpernickel toast was divine and so was the accompanying salad with like a 'mojo' (whatever that is) dressing. As were hubs' Classic Mimosa prepped with fresh squeezed oj and mine that had fresh Strawberry & Watermelon purées. Our server was smooth and delivered amazing customer service. The food was amazing and portions are literally through the roof. No cookie cutter approach here folks. Food is diverse and delicious.

Yelp
I've eaten at the original location a few times, and it has always been a stronghold for brunch. We decided to try this location based on prior great experience, and we were not disappointed. This was by far the best meal of our trip! I ordered the indecisive which comes with lemon ricotta pancakes, eggs, the best potatoes you will ever consume, baguette and avocado. The meal was incredible! The energy smoothie was excellent, as was the latte. So glad they now have an English menu, as the original location only had French menus. The bathrooms are not as cool, and the atmosphere not as special as the original location (i.e. there are no motorcycles hanging from the ceiling),but there is a cool looking mannequin to greet you. Service was friendly and fast. We will be back!

Yelp
Food was great, large portions and very flavorful. Our server was polite and helpful and the food came out faster than expected. The Bloody Caesar was a hit. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
Seriously one of the best brunches I've ever had. My family and I visited on a Sunday morning around 1030 am and had a short ~20 min or so wait (for a family of 4, smaller groups were seated almost immediately). Service- Everyone from servers to hostesses to all wait staff were some of the friendliest individuals in the industry that I've come across- major kudos to L'Avenue for this. We dined here for my daughters birthday and this was such a pleasant and heart warming experience to kick off the celebrations. Food- Saoudi Massoub Caramelized Banana French Toast- friggin' amazing. Two large pieces topped with banana, dates and roasted walnuts and loaded with a caramel sauce- this was simply delectable and I now need to make it my mission to find something just as amazing in the US. The Indecisive- Ordered this with a bagel, sausage and lemon ricotta pancakes. Portion was incredible for the price point and there's not enough amazing things I could say about those pancakes. The cream on these just blew everything out the water. The potatoes with this dish were also super flavorful and enjoyable. Strawberry and Nutella Pancakes- Our amazing waitress surprised our table with this dish with a sparkler for my daughter's birthday. We were completely surprised and this was so cool for my kid to experience. I only regret not getting our waitress' name as I'd really like to thank her again for her kindness. Drinks- Pistachio Latte and Americano- both were worth it. The latte cup is lined with pistachios and the drink is very true to taste/not artificial with a hint of indulgence. Oreo Milkshake- this was for my birthday girl and she thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great size. Ambiance- Super cool decor from every angle and even each individual bathroom had it's own flare and trendy aesthetic(with a toddler I found myself frequenting them often, lol). -- All in all, highly recommend this place and location. The line was quite long as we left, so that speaks volumes about their food and service.

Yelp
Since 1994, the restaurant L'Avenue has been the place to be for brunch and breakfast lovers. With its eccentric plates and generous portions, festive atmosphere and outstanding service, L'Avenue is more than just a culinary experience! Originally the main restaurant is still on the Plateau, but this one in the South west part of town, provides a shorter drive for those in that part of metro Montreal. The Eggs Benedict is the thing to get...yummy, delicious....decadent....

Yelp
Generous portion, funky themed breakfast joint, 4 stores in Montreal. Friendly efficient service staffs, perfect for a raining day brunch :)) A visit is highly recommended!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing breakfast. So many wonderful menu choices. Service was excellent!!! Rebecca was a very attentive server who patiently answered questions and gave wonderful menu suggestions. Very delightful young lady!! Highly highly recommend this restaurant. Duck confit truffles breakfast was awesome. House potatoes are wonderful. Fresh orange juice was delicious.
google avatar

Lam L.

Yelp
The food portions were large. Two of us ordered one meal each, but we couldn't finish them. The truffle duck had a strong mushroom flavor. If you're a mushroom lover, you would probably enjoy this Benedict, but the mushroom flavor somewhat overshadowed the egg Benedict's egginess. Additionally, since the duck was shredded, it was easily covered by the mushroom flavour. The other dish, Bobby does Dallas, was a very filling brunch. Three scrambled eggs were mixed with cheese and ribeye steak, and the homemade barbecue sauce was full of flavor. The dish was also topped with mushrooms and onions, which made it very savory and delicious. The dish also came with pre-oiled bread, which allowed us to enjoy another way of eating by adding the ingredients onto the bread and reducing the greasy feeling. The service provided by the staff was very good. They were friendly and welcoming from seating arrangements to ordering, and always had a smile on their faces. They even asked if we wanted to order any sauces for the potatoes, which was very thoughtful. The vibes in the restaurant is very good, even the toilet is well designed so the ambiance is excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved eating here. It was definitely such a vibe. Great open space and music. Jess was our server and she was phenomenal. We were a party of 4 and all of our food was excellent. The scrambled eggs are some of the best I've ever had. The potatoes were so flavorful. The pistachio coffee and americano were bold with great flavor. The steak was excellent. This is simply just a great breakfast/brunch spot.

Yelp
Finally got to make it here! Fantastic brunch spot. Started of with a latte I got a large one , maybe it had only one shot of espresso not sure, but wasn't very strong so check before you upgrade the size. As for the mains we had the California omelette, wow so much flavours and definitely a big plate, hubby couldn't finish it! I got the st Ambroise eggs Benedict. Definitely one of the best I ever had, cooked to perfection and lots of veggies that compliments the plate. Service was nice. Only problem was parking, husband had to go around for 15 minutes to find a decent spot
google avatar

Kathy S.

Yelp
Went here on a weekday afternoon and it was crowded and lively. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The vibe is vibrant, clean, upbeat and funky. Music was playing. We were seated in a wide comfortable booth. Our waitress was professional and friendly. Portions are satisfying. The food is wholesome and savory. You will not leave this place hungry. The pancakes were just perfectly moist and delicious. A little too much whipped cream and nutella but it was easy enough to discard (pancakes were so good it didn't need all that). Even their basic egg dish was filling. Loved the ambiance and food, what else can you ask for? As a local, I love it. This would also be a perfect place to bring friends from out of town.
google avatar

Olga H.

Yelp
Oh la la! Hip restaurant with great music and equally great food. The portions are rock star. If you are able to finish your food, all I gotta say is, dayum, do you have an extra stomach stowed away somewhere? Best goddamn potatoes/home fries I have ever had, on my gawd. The kids split the 3 stack of fluffy Nutella and strawberry pancakes. The sweet and savory eggs Benedict could be split between two people. They also replaced the ham with bacon, so don't be afraid to ask if you prefer bacon. The indecisive meal is a great option too and could also be split between two grown ass men, bc that is how much food it is. I was looking forward to trying the white chocolate and orange zest creme brûlée french toast as part of the indecisive meal, but alas, t'was 11 am and they were all out. Settled on the lemon ricotta pancakes instead. Everything was awesome (cue the Lego Movie theme song)! They got pretty busy fast on a Monday, so I recommend if you plan to do weekend brunch, you should prob go earlier or later. When we left around noon there was already a line of people waiting for a table.
google avatar

Catherine X.

Yelp
Hands down the best Shakshuka I have ever had!! So flavorful- it's a must try!! My boyfriend ordered the Kalhua and Oreo boozy milkshake and I've got to say I was impressed. I don't usually go for sugary alcoholic beverages but I couldn't stop sipping on it! The "indecisive" is also a great menu option as it gives you the option to try and little bit of everything. Make sure to plan ahead as they are very busy on the weekends for brunch. The line is usually down the street and you have to physically stand in line as they don't take down your number. Definitely worth the wait though so plan ahead and make sure you're bundled up!

Yelp
Heard this spot was amazing for brunch so when I arrived in Montreal we trekked the 35 minute walk from downtown to this spot. When we arrived (around 2pm) the line did not seem long but there were 5 groups ahead of us. When we actually got seated we realized for a table for 2, we waited close to 45 minutes! I would suggest coming during non-peak times so you don't suffer the same fate. I ordered the Saint Ambroise benny and partner ordered Steak and Eggs benny. Both were huge portions (and to be honest slightly greasy). Still good though. I think we could have shared one each and still be full. We had some mimosas along with brunch which was nice. Overall it was tasty and service was excellent, but the long wait wasn't worth it for me. I'd definitely come back if there was a guarantee I didn't have to wait so long!
google avatar

Daisy L.

Yelp
The food was yummy. This is definitely one of those large quantity breakfast places. The lemon and blueberry pancakes and pecan French toast were both good, but I probably wouldn't get them again. Pancakes are very cake-like which isn't my personal favorite. The french toast was more like fancy bread with toppings-wasn't quite like I was expecting, but still yummy. The service was excellent.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Great food, large portions, unique atmosphere, and incredible service. Definitely recommend to anyone while in Montreal. I had the feta omelette which was filled with spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, and onion. It was large and the ingredients were mixed into the eggs rather than smashed in the middle of the omelette and I wouldn't have it any other way. The omelette came with a side of potatoes that were mixed with rosemary, garlic, and another ingredient I couldn't quite figure out. They were incredible. A baguette was also a part of the entree which I thought would be too much, but it was so well toasted with melted butter that I ended up eating it before the potatoes. So, so good! My husband enjoyed the Gym Dude omelette and even got a smoothie to go which was made with fresh fruit and coconut milk. It was so good, I didn't even get a chance to try it before it was gone. A must when in Montreal. Plus the neighborhood around the restaurant is super cute and full of all kinds of little shops.
google avatar

Nance W.

Yelp
I think this is their second location and glad they expanded and have two additional locations but despite that, still had to wait at least minimum 37 minutes in the line. also they were slow at turning tables as I guess they didn't want to overwhelme the kitchen.. Also they ran out of the duck egg truffles at 1 pm :( which really disappointed me as I was looking forward to that dish. What I got instead was ok.. but overpriced. Service I guess can be faster and speedier... also, they do not rush people out even after the bill has been paid... Overall worth visiting but be prepared to wait close to an hour...
google avatar

Naomi T.

Yelp
We came on a Monday and there was no wait for a table! They have quite a big menu here. I ordered the "Indecisive" with carrot cake pancakes, bacon, beans, potatoes, 2 eggs and it comes with a side of baguette. The portions were huge!!! I only finished 3/4 of 1 pancake. We probably could've shared 1 order. We also had the "I'll have it all" which has 1 pancake, French toast, sausage, homemade cretons, ham, beans and 2 eggs and a side of baguette. It was so much food! The carrot cake pancakes were really good though and I haven't seen it anywhere else. The decor of this location was really cool too. Unfortunately we were flying home that day and couldn't take the leftovers with us :(
google avatar

Nora S.

Yelp
The wait was long but the food was excellent. Great place for people who love a big breakfast. I tried the truffled duck as a savory option and loved it. Flavorful & absolutely delicious. For a sweeter option I tried the caramelized banana with dates french toast and it was perfectttt. Overall a happy breakfast. The service was also excellent
google avatar

Karen I.

Yelp
The smoothies all tasted great! The portion size for this place is very big so beware of that when ordering. None of us finished our meals. Would recommend for a good breakfast place with a lot of choices. We had to wait awhile for our food to come out though, and also the side of potatoes in my opinions were just alright. None of the food really blew my mind (tried my friends foods as well). But seems like a good place for breakfast if you're looking for lots of options.
google avatar

Christina T.

Yelp
What can I describe this place? Pretty artsy. The bathroom is pretty cool. There was a small mix up with order, and we eventually got our order. My meal on that day is a shashuka Verte with multigrain bread and a mimosa. The meal was a little blend to be honest but I think it has to do with my choice of the plate. Pretty awesome place to eat and I will come back to check out other food in the menu.
google avatar

Karen H.

Yelp
Decided to go on a Saturday around noonish. We were told about 30 minute wait ugh! We waited and met some people also waiting from Nova Scotia, amazing what can happen when one is not looking. We were seated and I knew I was going to have, eggs and steak Benedict! Last visit was about 5 years ago and it still remains one of the best brunch restaurant. Service is great and staff are friendly. Great for families :)
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
Although I do feel like the mont royal location serves prettier food, this location is prime for the reduced wait times for delicious food. We got the eggs Benedict with Montreal smoked meat and an indecisive with pecan toast. Like my other review on the mont royal page, the eggs Benny's made well. Although the Benny's held a strong Montreal influence with the smoked meat, I think I prefer the original with ham. This is because the added mustard on top is a bit off balance for me. I must say though, the French toast here was beyond the mont royal location! Thick toast and a scrumptious pecan sugary treat topping. It was the best addition to the salty favours from the rest of the dish. The sausage was also cooked to perfection with a sweet after taste. The balance on the indecisive was better than the smoked meat Benny's. Overall, stellar performance by the L'avenue crew. Do expect to drop at least $25 a person at this brunch restaurant.
google avatar

Sharon D.

Yelp
I ordered the A Little Bit of Everything. It was huge! The French toast was the best thing on my plate. Everything but the sausage was delicious. The only bad thing was that my food was lukewarm. Great atmosphere!
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
No lines!! No one!! Love this L'Avenue location. We were seated right away for breakfast brunch on a weekday. My friend willingly to share an order of Egg Benedict with me. Thanks so much! I still have nightmares about my last visit when no one wanted to share anything with me and I ended up being so stuffed and could not even think about eating until dinner time! Love the option for a split order with an additional $2.50 charge, you can have your own fruit skewer and potato. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. A truly 5 star experience without the price tag!
google avatar

Wang C.

Yelp
Service is not good, and even worse if you don't speak French. They let people behind us with the same size a head of us that spoke French then tried to tell us it was not the same size party...it was. Waits a long time to order, then told we couldn't order food at the same time and that we had to wait until the drinks came out. Wasn't true, and one drink never came out. The coffee was really good. The Little Piggie was not great, very dry, and nothing like SC BBQ. The indecisive was good.
google avatar

Will L.

Yelp
Fantastic food and despite it being extremely busy, our server was wonderful, taking her time to chat with us.

Jolie C.V. H.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this because of all the great reviews but upon sitting down I thought it was just like any other trendy brunch spot. It's a great space and thoughtfully designed. Graffiti wall, cool colorful lights, suspenders and bow tie clad servers, garage door that open up the back terrace area. However, the menu did not look like anything special other than two, YES, TWO, full pages of cocktails. Good looking out for the boozy bunch! Thanks and cheers! It took me a while to decide on food because it all sounded the same. I let my server's recommendations narrow my selections and ordered the Duck Benedict and a coconut maple coffee concoction. The coffee was great. I had never heard of it before so of course I had to try it. Now, the duck...omg...that was good. The English muffin was a little tough, not sure why I had such a difficult time cutting through it but after a while I was getting so full; there wasn't any more room left for bread so whatever. The poached eggs we perfect. The duck was tasty. The potatoes...man, you know a place is legit when something as simple as potatoes are spot on delicious! The service was excellent! I did not get my servers name but she was so awesome. I'm so glad a Yelper mentioned that she liked this location better than Mont Royal. She was not lying. It's fantastic. I suppose I cannot compare since I've never been to the other location but I've passed by several times and there was ALWAYS a long line. I'm not standing in any line when there is amazing food all over this city. Anyway, back to my amazing server...she was delightful. Warm, charming, checked in with me at appropriate times, totally girl crushing on her! Even the manager stopped by to check on how everything was. As if that wasn't enough...the surprises never end. Ok, so if you happen to be here and you are completely hungover or high I suggest not using their restrooms without assistance. You will not be able to find your way out. Pictures attached.... Man, I forgot to snap a picture of the damn sink! The water was a little too hot so I'm trying to look for the "cold" lever. Instead air is drying my hands! Thanks, Dyson. You are a clever old man. Love all your stuff. Hahahha...enjoyed this place thoroughly.

Yelp
This has been my favourite brunch place for the last 8 YEARS ! I'm always trying out newer places recommended by friends, but l'avenue still stays at the top of my list. Their menu is very varied - brunch plates (eggs, meat, potatoes, side of bread) , omelettes, eggs Benedict, sandwiches, sweets (waffles, pancakes etc), steak and eggs, cast iron dishes- but the quality of their food stays so high. I've tried out different things on the menu and am consistently impressed. One of my favourite things to order is the "undecided ", basically a mix of all of the above when you just can't make up your mind. Or when I'm less greedy, I go for their eggs Benedict dishes. Toppings are AA quality, hollandaise sauce is so creamy, poached eggs cooked to perfection. Last tip- you NEED to check out their bathrooms. Bring your phone, you'll want a selfie!

Yelp
Must try spot while in the area! We came around 9 AM on a Sunday and waited for about an hour. We ordered the "I'll Have It All" and "The Indecisive" mostly because we wanted to try a little of everything. The bagels were shockingly good and this is coming from a New Yorker. There were sesame seeds on both sides of the bagel. Yes, you read that correctly. The pancake was perfectly fluffy and paired well with their maple syrup. The French toast stuffed with pistachio cream was very tasty but I thought it could use a little more sugar since the raspberry sauce was extremely tart. I normally don't care for sausage but it was probably my favorite item here. The outer casing had that snap that you want and the interior was a great combination of flavors. Potatoes were basic but good. Eggs were not served sunny side up like we asked but that's ok. And don't forget to order the earl tea. They use fresh tea leaves and it had a nice, strong flavor.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast. My husband and I both tried a smoothie. They were huge!!! But they tasted soooo good. We both loved our breakfast options. I remember really liking my french toast with nutella and strawberries on it. We both left super satisfied and happy. We did have to wait about 20 minutes before being seated, but it was worth it.
google avatar

Tam P.

Yelp
One of best brunches I ever had. I got a mushroom Benedict while my hubby got a duck and potatoes casserole. The duck casserole has truffle butter and it was sooo good. You can smell the truffle right away. The eggs are cooked to perfection. The portions were huge and we could not finish them. The Benedict is pretty heavy because of the creamy sauces but still very good. The line is pretty long (30 mins to 1 hr wait) so be there early if you can. The restaurant vibe is super cool, very pop and artsy. The bathroom is like mirror maze.

Yelp
L'Avenue is probably one of the brunch restaurants in Montréal that gets the most hype and buzz around. My friend and I went there on a Friday morning and the restaurant was packed. We wanted to sit facing a window or close, but it was all taken so we got a seating in the middle of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, the walls are painted with graffitis and you have to take a photo in the bathrooms! My only issue with the bathroom was the water on the floor (it was everywhere) as well as toilet paper. I believe it is normal to wait before being served, especially if the restaurant is packed, but my friend and I waited 15 minutes before the waiter first came to get our drinking order (2 mimosas). We then waited another 10 minutes to order our food. Again, our waiter was running everywhere because of how packed the restaurant was... maybe they were understaffed? As for the food, the mimosas were very good, filled with alcohol, the fruit brochette they bring in the beginning was delicious as well. I ordered L'indécis and got bacon and sausage with a Nutella/strawberry waffle. The waffle was delicious, perfectly creamy. The potatoes are a classic, they were very good. I didn't love the sausage, it was pretty dry. Also, they only bring one strip of bacon (I would've expected more, especially for 18,88$). The eggs were delicious as well, no complaints there. Another issue my friend and I had were the flies everywhere in the restaurant. They don't have any nets on their windows and they opened the doors wide so they are EVERYWHERE and eating with them is truly annoying.

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype it has on Yelp and social media. Hip spot for breakfast and brunch. I was unfortunately only partaking in the eating part and none of the drinking as I had to drive back to the states, but the food here is amazing and comes with A LOT. Each meal comes with a fruit skewer that I thought was awesome. I ordered the French toast Benedict, and it was literally so much food I couldn't even finish. And I'm a big eater, I usually always finish my food at restaurants. And it was delicious too. The egg was cooked perfectly (pet peeve of mine when an eggs benny egg is not poached well). Great mix of flavors. The side of potatoes was good too. Again, just SO MUCH FOOD. Pro tip: come here early before the rest of the hipsters and trendy people wake up and do brunch.

Yelp
I was super excited to find out that there was another location of this awesome breakfast joint - and it does not disappoint! Just like the main brunch spot, the dishes maintain their great quality and generous portion! The same menu and atmosphere is kept as well. And because this location is much bigger than the one in Montreal, the line-up and the wait time for the food is much shorter, and the service is much faster. The only downside just like the other location is that parking is hard to find.

Yelp
I was super excited to finally try l'Avenue, but oh well! On a Sunday morning we had to wait an hour as it was insanely busy. Also, when it was our time to grab a table the manager made us wait as we were only two instead of three (my friend was still on her way) and would literally offer the seats to some who had arrived after us; we had to wait about 15 mins additional until my friend finally made it. The food is good, but nothing above what the average Montreal brunch has to offer. I loved the funky decor and the soothing music playing. I would recommend but wouldn't return.

Yelp
A super hip place with some great breakfast/brunch dishes. It can get super busy so arrive early to secure a spot. I had the Saint-Ambroise Eggs Benny and they were delicious; rich and flavourful, and the potato crisps that come on the side were cooked perfectly. The meal is huge and I was stuffed by the end of it. The space is very cool with graffiti/cool artwork lining the walls and colourful, lit-up washrooms that are great for a silly picture. Service is super quick and friendly. I'd come back to try all the other Eggs Benedict variations.

Yelp
Annie Kim Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more "The best eggs benny ever!" What time we arrived/Wait time? Arrived on a Thursday at 1pm and there was a 45 minute wait. It seemed to be worth it for others to wait in the rain so we did too! Atmosphere? The atmosphere is busy and bright. Crowded seats and fast paced but there is a hanging motorcycle on the ceiling and an amazing vibe to the place. Checkout the washrooms for sure ;) Service/Staff? The staff was great. Decent and nothing over the top. Very busy so not very service oriented. Food/Menu/Pricing? The food is amazing. The mushrooms eggs Benedict I would recommend to everyone. The best I've ever had and the potatoes that come served with all the meals are sooooo flavourful with the herbs. You'll be MORE than full here. We got the fruit smoothies and those were just okay- definitely healthy which is a plus! But two can share one of those for sure.

Yelp
This place was delicious. I highly recommend you give this place a try if you're looking for some brunch downtown Montreal. They give you a fruit on a skewer as a free appetizer which was an amazing touch. I had a sweet and crunchy eggs benedict, which was eggs benedict with ham on top of French toast. my mom ordered the chocolate banana shake which I got to try some of which was also delicious. A little under $20 a person the prices are even reasonable!

Yelp
finally got to try this place! Another popular Montreal restaurant that often has a line up of eager patrons. I went on a weekday around 11 and was lucky enough to be seated right away. The first thing they bring you after ordering is a generous plate of fresh fruits to enjoy while you wait for your meal. Their water is flavoured with huge slices of real watermelon, so refreshing! Really cool Decor with interesting graffiti art on one wall, all kinds of neat fixtures. Lovely polite staff and truly delicious food. Best breakfast potatoes I've had in a while! I really enjoyed this place and having finally tried it I would say it's certainly worth the wait. If you try to go early on a weekday you might have better luck getting in right away.

Yelp
L'Avenue is a classic in Montreal. However, ever since they changed their menu, they don't serve my favourite item anymore (œufs coin coin), which made me decide to remove a star from them because they do not stand out from all the other brunch places in Montreal anymore. They serve breakfast like a two or three course meal, and the entree is a skewer of fruits, and then they bring the ordered meal. I had the smoked salmon bagel, which was decent and the portion of smoked salmon was very generous. Overall, the quality and taste of the food served here is pretty consistent and never disappoints. They serve a good selection of coffee and other lattes as well. The vibe is a fun one, not too snooty nor too posh. I also want to point out that there is always a line after 10:30 on the weekends.

Yelp
I went there on January 22nd with my siblings and my gf. My gf ordered the breakfeast raviolis and got sick from it for 3days. Do not recommend.
