"An elegant dining room dining room set inside Les Crayères hotel , is the place for a last-meal-of-your-life situation. It's pure poetry and presentation. From the way the dishes are served to the plating and masterful flavor combinations, the food is awe-inspiring and far more modern and inventive than the grand, if classic, dining room decor would lead you to believe. If your belly allows, opt for the “Entre Vigne et Terroir” menu to get the full experience, or the Menu Blanc, which gives carte blanche to chef Philippe Mille to surprise you. Make sure to call over the cheese trolley, which features many options from the region, and choose the Champagne pairing with dinner. The list is truly vast." - Mary Winston Nicklin, Lindsey Tramuta

One of the few fine-dining restaurants I recommend. Each dish was well-executed, with complex flavors and textures. We had the 180euro menu with the 120euro wine pairing. The amount of food was just right. Service staff were friendly, and highly knowledgeable somms.

Our third visit. I can't believe they are only 2 stars. They are the best restaurant in paris for us. Always welcoming. Great wine list especially Bourgognes and Champagnes on great price. I don't drink wine in restaurants because of the price but here I do. Also they have rotating champagne on glass which is hard to find in the US.

We are foreign visitors, and we have dined at many Michelin starred restaurants local and abroad. It wasn’t until we arrived at Reims that we noticed that the chef changed. We made our reservation several months ago in our country, at that time, the chef was still the previous one. ( And it was through google review that we discover the chef has changed.) We consider this as a kind of “fraud”, since no one has ever contacted us about the alter in chef. Our reservation time was 6:30in the afternoon, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were lead to the garden. This is our first time being led to other places before dinging in our experience in Europe. People from the restaurant didn’t told us that we have to finish the whole bottle of champagne before we could get into the restaurant and start our dinner, therefore, it was until 8:40 that we finally get into the restaurant. The snack served when we were waiting were melted and collapsed, we suppose it was due to the high temperature and the long waiting time. The champagne and wine are really good, however, despite the desserts, the other dishes are far from satisfying. The dishes are all salty, and we couldn’t taste layered flavors in the dishes, as other restaurants have. (For example, we can only taste saltiness in the meat, since the meat is salty, and the sauce is also salty. As for the dish made from cheese, we could only taste the flavor of cheese.)

It was our first meal right after we had landed in CDG and also first restaurant in Champagne Region so our expectation were very high. We took the Plaisir de table course with wine pairing option. They used only the ingredients that were in the season so everything is fresh and flavorful. The portions were considerably quite generous. The wine pairing went well with the food especially the champagne. We felt so much refreshing. The services were spot on (even we still dressed in airport look). The staffs made us felt well-attended but not that much to feel uncomfortable. The restaurant is located in very beautifully building surrounding with gardens of which in the situated in the heart of Reims.

We were ushered onto their lovely terrace for an aperitif before lunch. Note that shorts 🩳 (even if it was 30C that day or tailored cut) are not allowed 🚫. Chose a champagne cocktail & a rose champagne from a list wt majority of the drinks at around the €25 mark, wt champagnes at much more. After drinks, we were led to the main dining area indoors. Very elegant as expected. There were a few set menus starting from their simplest Inspiration menu at €120 for 4 course (starter/mains/cheese/dessert) €160 wt wine pairing. The Plasir de Table €180 5-courses & €300 wt wine & the Ete 2024 €390 6-courses, €640 wt wines. We took the 5-course wt wine. Pleased to say that we actually got wines with every course including the amouse bouche, which you normally don’t get…PLUS, there were sooo many mouthfuls of amouse bouches!!! Didn’t think about it then but wt reflection, the wines were not the usual miserly 80cl which normally prompts me to think I want more. On the contrary, I remember thinking I need to be cautious as I was getting to “happy” too quickly 😉. I’m inclined to say that we got a generous 100cl pour. Wine pairing definitely worth it, especially when I was positively surprised by a dry white served wt the foiegras, but it was clever pairing for this particular starter as it paired superbly & preferable to the usual sweet wines. Have a look at the photos for the dishes. Not much comments needed as quality, skill & execution is expected & happily received. Forgot photo of the pigeon 🫣. Couldn’t help myself but had to steal a hug from the chef himself CHRISTOPHE MORET.

We had a lovely time with our family and friends. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is marvellous and the suites we booked were luxurious and spacious. Diner and breakfast are always great experiences here. Delicious and nicely presented dishes and one of Europe best wine lists to pick from.

There are already a lot of reviews on Le Parc and the exeptional quality of the food, the service and the stunning location which are per se a good enough reason to try this restaurant at this last once in a lifetime. What struck me the most though was how genuinely kind and nice the whole team working here is. Each customer was being taken care of in a very formal but at the same time warm and funny way which made our whole stay there our most pleasant Michelin star experience to date.

As a break in trying every Parisian Michelin Stars in less than a year (follow me for all the reviews) I went to Reims. It’s a love letter from an man to his adopted region. It’s a two stars Michelin, so my usual question here is what is extraordinary, because you need to stand out to get a second star (in France, there’s roughly 7 times less 2 stars than one, and “only” 2 times more than three). I’ll start with the 2 most obvious points and I’ll finish with a more personal one. The package setting and service. Starting when your car enter the domain, to the dining room, it’s gorgeous. It’s more class than luxury. Let me rephrase, they went for very luxurious but removed the shiny “dorures “ (golden stuff) and focused on the craftsmanship, the wood, the quality. Basically, it looks luxurious because it is luxurious, not because it s shiny (I made a small video where you can see the interior ). The service is at par. You’re in a Relais & Châteaux, the high end hotels association based in France. It’s the best service you can have, with the palaces. The ratio staff/customers is excellent, and the staff is amongst the best coming from everywhere in France. For example one of our sommelier, was from Burgundy. But this is just a transition (to say thanks to him) and to speak about the second obvious point: The Champagne! I’ve already said it in several reviews, but a low sugar dosage Champagne, preferably Blanc de Noirs, is the best wine to accommodate a gastronomic meal. It won’t be in conflict with the chef expression. Trust me and try it. If you’re afraid of looking too decadent, do like me, drink it in wine glasses… (actually it’s also better for the tasting so it’s a double win). And if there’s a place to try it, it’s here! The wine card is a monument. So much so that I forgot about my phone and taking pictures! I would recommend to ask the sommelier for recommendations. I didn’t do so, I went straight for some of my favorites. But if you love Champagne, this is the place. This is the moment. Which brings me to the last point, I know someone who loves Champagne Region and came here: the Chef. First, the chef is a MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France- Best French Craftsman). It’s an incredibly difficult and selective competition, that makes your food reality show looks like kid play. I’ve already spoke in length about it in other reviews (Chabotterie, pré catelan, Solstice, Relais louis xiii, etc…), so I’ll stop here. The common point is perfection. Every dish is view as a work of art and has to be perfect, complete. Look at the play with texture, acidity etc… Every dish is a stand alone work of art. But that’s not the point here. The point is that the Chef uses his skill to express his love for the region. Was he in love before or did he fall in love once there? Big question ;-) But the fact that is looking for small producers, the way is associating etc… would make me think of the later. Still the question is more “will you fall in love with the Champagne region “? Well, this restaurant should at least give you a strong push. The crowd/mood: Quite high end. But you don’t care. Dress well, have some Champagne and forget about them. A very solid two stars enamored with the region. Ps: Dear moderation algorithm, tell me what’s the issue here?

Yelp
Magical experience and the food was divine. Our favorite course was the second consisting of a chanterelle mushrooms bisque and chicken oysters (sounds better in French) absolutely delish. The wine parings were excellent and the service is what made it magical, perfectly choreographed plate settings. We felt like royalty.

Yelp
One of us got food poisoning here, and paid quite a bit of money for the privilege. Was it one of the dozens of amuse-bouches? Perhaps the caviar and pea foam? We may never know. Look, we really wanted to like this place. It's a 2-star Michelin restaurant set in a chateau-like environment with more staff than patrons and a very, VERY creative menu. We've been to many other Michelin-starred restaurants before and can honestly say we haven't been anywhere quite like it. Maybe I'm a simple man with simple pleasures, but I'll take a great meal at a brasserie over insufferable formality and weird foams and sauces that give you food poisoning any day, regardless of the price. Cool experience, but not something we'd do again.

Yelp
Awarded two Michelin stars, the restaurant Le Parc in the resort of Les Crayeres in Reims doesn't have the stiffness and formality of older-style French restaurants. Here you'll find surprisingly personable service and modern techniques used in the cuisine! We came to enjoy their dinner service, and though we were the first to arrive in the dining room, the restaurant filled up by the end of the night, and the creative dishes and impeccable service made for a great experience! Before anything else, we were started at our table with several small bites (amuse bouche) and some bread, and we ordered the five-course tasting menu for the evening. Course number one was a duck foie gras in a consommé made with pink Champagne. We continued with a meaty grilled john dory garnished with thin slices of mushrooms, and then a pigeon foie gras (this was getting to be quite a heavy meal) that was formed into the shape of a pigeon breast. And then came the cheese course--a local cow's milk chaource that had been whipped into a foam and was served with watercress coulis on the bottom. And then came my favorite course by far--a "Costa Rican coffee" dessert, which included a rolled coffee biscuit filled with a light coffee mousse, and served with a light coffee ice cream on the side. It's rare that dessert turns out to be my favorite course, but the flavors weren't too sweet and simply had great coffee flavor! Overall, Le Parc was a great experience, though not that outstanding for a fancy French restaurant, whose prices correspond to the level of service and quality you receive. For me there weren't any "can't miss" dishes or unforgettable bites, but what a place to dine in the Champagne region of France!

Yelp
The best meal experience of my life (to date)! Happy Birthday to me! I could have done without the Pigeon, but other than that we had such an amazing meal! Staff and service was fabulous!

Yelp
Service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. I've eaten at a lot of multi-starred restaurants like French Laundry, Quince, Saison, so I do have a few nitpicks. That said, it was a thoroughly enjoyable 3.5 hour lunch in a gorgeous setting, and I have absolutely no regrets recommending it to anyone in the area. (Cost was just under $400 for lunch for two with wine and additional gratuity - their lunch menu is a very affordable option if you want a michelin experience but are trying to keep it a little reasonable.) Everyone speaks English, French (and probably other languages, too.) You start with an aperitif in the lounge overlooking their incredible gardens, which is such a delightful way to begin. They offer 4 champagnes by the glass, all exceptional. And you get little nibbles to go with the drink - some parmesan crisps and then 3 little bites: foie gras, terrine, and something with fish. I did mention ahead of time that I was vegetarian, so its a little disappointing this wasn't noted. Still, my boyfriend loved having seconds of the foie gras which was covered in parmesan foam. As you comfortably sip champagne, they bring you the menus and wine list to peruse. The wine list weights about 10 lbs - its MASSIVE. They brought me the vegetarian menu after I requested it, but unlike the other menus, there were no prices associated with it so I couldn't tell if it was prix fix or a la carte. My boyfriend was having a 3 course menu, and there were 5 things on the vegetarian menu, so I had some difficulty communicating that I wanted the same number of courses as he was having. We did ultimately get that sorted. After you've made your choices, they escort you to an elegant dining room. Service begins with an amuse. Our was an egg and asparagus dish that was light and creamy, accompanied with fresh bread and delicious salted butter. My vegetarian appetizer was lentils prepared in the style of risotto - easily the best lentils I ever had. My boyfriend had an onion soup with a mushroom-dusted egg in the middle and some kind of fish. He ordered wine pairings, and the first glass was meant to last through the amuse and appetizer, but they were kind enough to top up his glass when he was running low. Main courses were also delicious and everything is so beautiful when it arrives at the table. Mine was white asparagus and morels in a cream sauce - easily the best mushrooms I've ever had. His was salmon on top of a bed of asparagus. He loved it, and was happy not to share. The next course was cheese, which we added to his menu as I really wanted it. The trolley was a wonderful selection of local cheeses and it was a generous portion. It was accompanied by some jam made from champagne grapes which was particularly good with one of the cheeses. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly throughout, and they made excellent wine recommendations for me since I didn't want to do a full pairing. However, I my boyfriend only wound up with 2 glasses of wine for a 3 course menu, which I found a bit odd. I suspect things got confused because we added cheese, but he didn't get any wine after the main course. Dessert was phenomenal. The palette cleaner was a small dish of ratafia sorbet with champagne foam and small bits of hazelnuts on top. We could have stopped there - it was incredible. I had the citrus tart while my boyfriend had a plate full of various chocolate bites - mousse, chocolates, biscuits, etc. Both looked like art and were incredible. Then they offered us chocolate bonbons on sticks. And finally, we were offered coffee on the patio accompanied by some final bites of sweets - one of which looked like a cherry but the stem was chocolate and the cherry itself was actually mousse in a candy shell. While the cappuccino looked lovely, it was really not good coffee. (Though honestly, I haven't had a good coffee since we got to France.) All in all, the food was excellent, the service was very, very good and the setting is beautiful. I was surprised that my vegetarian meal was double the price of the lunch that my boyfriend ordered, but I will still look back happily on the time we had there.

Yelp
This is probably the best restaurant my wife and I have ever eaten at. This is definitely a 5* establishment. The servers are ready to handle any request you may have. Their wine list isn't a list, it's a novel. The food is beyond amazing. We have eaten here three times on two different stays, all three times we have been taken back by how intricate the flavors of each plate have been. Come hungry and let the chef design a menu for your table, there are an average of 5-8 courses depending on your tastes. Our favorite was a pasta that was covered in a parmesan fumé and large white truffle shavings on top. I cannot say enough great things, but don't be surprised when the bill comes and it's around 150€-250€ a person.

Yelp
...loved this place, one of my top meals from my France visit. I am originally from Reims, so I had to visit some of the local fine dining to commemorate my hometown. Let me tell you, this meal was amazing. Les Crayeres itself is a magical looking place, come early and take pictures if you can! Our reservation was at 8:30PM so we didn't get many but managed to get by in the dark. There were a few menus available that day, from the Chef Tasting to A La Carte. Since we came at the end of winter, the truffle menu was still available - so we just had to do it! 5 courses, and while I did not go with the recommended pairing I asked their sommelier to recommend a few glasses to me to go with my courses. She gladly provided me with great options, and I thoroughly enjoyed the pairings. I will not go over every course (the menu is available in my photos) BUT I will talk about one dish. They call it Tartare of royale scampi with black truffle (Fried and creamy of truffle with walnut water). This description does not do the dish justice. We saw it come out at some other tables and were so puzzled as to what it was. There was a plate with a langoustine tartare. There was langoustine mousse on the plate. Both had truffles and were stunning. But the sidekick...A HUGE friend wonton. Yes, a very fancy, high end langoustine fried wonton with truffle in it. It was so amazing...That dish alone made the night for us. Lest we forget though, dishes that followed included scallops with pasta and local chicken with bio vegetables. Everything was amazing but that opening dish...Too strong a start, I would have been happy having it a second time and coming home. Dessert was cool too, but forcing the truffle in there was a little weird for me. Service was on point as you would expect from a 2-star Michelin, and I cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
We wanted to give our two children, ages 13 and 20, a Michelin stars dining experience during our visit to France. We chose a lunchtime visit at Les Crayeres and ordered from the three course fixed menu-- a kind of entry-level gourmet dining option. The setting for the restaurant is a classically elegant country chateau overlooking lovely grounds. We started with glasses of Laurent Perrier rose (a "tasting sized portion for my 13 year old), which served as a floral and subtly complex start to the meal. The servers spoke French and English, greeted us warmly and made us feel welcomed and at ease. The three amuses bouche were tasty, particularly the parmesan "mousse". For our main courses, the hake--served with an exquisite basil reduction sauce-- and the stuffed poultry with champignons were refined dishes flawlessly and artistically prepared and presented. For desserts, we had a medley of chocolate tastes filling a beautiful plate and an almond strawberry concoction that was simply divine. We did not order wine, but we admired from a distance many of the wines our fellow diners appeared to be thoroughly enjoying. Our family had a delectable afternoon of gourmet dining. The price came in at around 100 euros per person--worth every centime for a unique, memorable and formative experience.

Yelp
It was an exquisite experience. We simply showed up when we were ready and started Champaign at the bar looking at a gorgeous garden. We did tasting menu with wine paring. (My partner did vegetarian option and I did non-vegetarian.) All courses were delicious, interesting and beautiful. I enjoyed all paring wine too. As one of courses, a cheese cart showed without a question. (No cheese, no French cuisine, I suppose.) Service was absolutely excellent. Watching servers' elegant movements was amusing as watching a great ballet or something. An interesting thing was that as we were going to confirm the time of our reservation, the lady at the hotel said "please show between 7:30 to 9 when it's good for you". 1.5 hours window! This was a nice surprise because back in San Francisco, most of restaurants reserve your table only for 15 mins after the reservation time.

Yelp
June 5, 2019 experience. This is fine dining at its best. The ambiance was spectacular. A beautiful dining room with a picturesque view of Lea Crayères Hotel gardens. The service was professional and personable. And the attention to detail was duly noted. If one were to leave the table his/her napkin was replaced with a new perfectly folded and placed napkin by the wait staff with tongs. Even the bread was cut with a waiter wearing white gloves! There is a reason this Reataurant has two Michelin starS. Our table of four had the prix fixed dinner which was exceptionally presented and delicious. Of course some at our table would have preferred to have tried the ala carte menu but the all the food was good. The wine pairing was excellent. The bottle of champagne selected was great. Pricy but loved the experience. Afterwards we retired to les Crayères bar which is also deserves its own five star rating.
