This is a difficult review to write. I stayed here twice in a week while on business travelling France visiting customers. The first visit was excellent, I arrived about 8.45pm, was able to have a lovely meal in the restaurant (last orders 9.00pm) and the room was really lovely, quaint, but well modernised whilst keeping the character with stone walls etc. Very nice balcony on to the street. I got a great night's sleep and was off early, so didn't have breakfast. The second visit, not so good. I had a room on the top floor with a small window overlooking the street and it just wasn't that great. Not the same ambience at all, no proper headboard on the bed, so you couldn't sit up in bed and lean on anything, the sliding door to the bathroom was half falling off and the light to the bathroom hidden behind the sliding door, only visible when the door was shut. The water wasn't very warm when I had my shower at 8.20 the next morning and went cold before I finished my 5 minute shower. Breakfast was OK, nothing exactly wrong with it. As is typical for France the only hot food was boiled eggs. A limited selection of pastries and a choice of about 12 jams/preserves and honeys. There was a little excellent ham which I enjoyed. So to recap first bedroom 5 stars, second bedroom 3 star, breakfast 3.5 stars and the really excellent restaurant 5 stars. Great choice of food on the menu, food came quickly and there is a good choice of wine. All restaurants overcharge for wine, and they are no exception, but the prices are reasonable compared to others. Would I go again? For the restaurant definitely, but not unless I can be guaranteed the room I had first time. Photos are of this room. They have their own parking off the station car park.
