"This small restaurant, which is part of an intimate boutique hotel near Lake Bohinj amid the valleys of the Julian Alps, boasts a contemporary-style dining room with relaxing views of the surrounding countryside. Here, the chef creates dishes inspired by typical mountain ingredients (local beef and veal, trout from Lake Bohinj, celeriac, potatoes etc) which are modern yet uncomplicated and fully focused on flavour. In the evening, guests can choose between a 3-, 4- or 5-course menu, while simpler options are available at lunchtime. 90% of the wines are Slovenian." - Michelin Inspector
Amazing experience!! The food was beyond delicious and I am not exaggerating. We opted for 3 course lunch and loved the Deer tartar, trout salad, veal steak, duck breast a lot. The waiter suggested perfectly paired orange wines. It was raining and we couldn’t experience the outdoor seating which looked beautiful. Would definitely be back if we get a chance. :)

Great restaurant and dining experience. First I want to say how great the wines and sommeliers were - we had much better Slovenian wines here than anywhere else during our whole 2 week trip. Delicious.
We're vegetarian so the food choices were more limited for us but good nonetheless. It would have been nice to have a second option for main course as the braised cabbage doesn't have any protein and is something vegetarians often see on menus. The soup of the day was very good with great herbs. Dessert was good with particularly lovely homemade apricot jam. The bread and miso pumpkin butter were phenomenal.
The other thing to say is the restaurant itself is beautiful and even more so the mountain views are stunning.
Make a reservation in advance as the staff seem to require this.

Beautiful picturesque spot to have some refined and delicious food. The fregola starter was a great opener for the meal, and we enjoyed the veal and duck to follow. Rice pudding made for a tasty sweet end to the meal. We also enjoyed our wine pairings with our main, recommended by the servers.

Just wow !
The view from the terrace is gorgeous, the food was delicious, homemade limonade and iced tea were great !
The restaurant work as “menu” so you have to take at least 2 courses for lunch

We decided to go for the 5-course menu. The portions are quite large, so if you're not extremely hungry, it’s better to opt for the 3-course menu. The food was good overall. The veal in the main course looked perfectly cooked, but unfortunately, it wasn’t tender at all, and I had difficulty eating it. Other than that, everything was ok. The service was friendly and attentive, and there’s a good selection of wines.

We had an amazing Christmas dinner at Majerca! The tasting menu was absolutely delicious, the waiters were exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. It was the ideal choice for a special evening, and we couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommended!

A faultless, joyous experience. The food, service & wine were all outstanding.
We got to choose our table (in the garden with a beautiful view of the mountains). The waiters were super attentive & professional but also friendly & informal. We had the 4-course menu (beetroot, pearl barley cacio e pepe, pork / trout, then a panna cotta). All delicious.
Highly recommend
