A gorgeous Michelin recommended neighbourhood restaurant in Oxton, Wirral, @restaurantoxa is headed up by @chef_andrew_sheridan and @jake12smi12_chef and was our venue of choice to celebrate me getting back on the transplant list last week.
We went for the 8 course tasting menu at £80 each and Chef was more than happy to adapt the courses for Steve’s allergies. He even got a few treats that I didn’t!

Being presented with oysters was a great start as we’ve not had them in ages and the gluten free bread went down a treat. I’m now obsessed with Marmite butter too! The Hake was incredible and the little pot of passionfruit was just beautiful. All in all this was a fabulous experience in such a nice, relaxed setting. The staff were very personable and Chef brought every course to us with an explanation of what it was.
The menu changes with the seasons so we will have to come back next time it switches up! Any excuse hey.
