Quedubon

"This is the kind of bistro/wine bar that we have come to expect from Paris! Picture the scene: the owner – cap tightly pulled onto his head and beard untamed, as friendly as can be – welcomes you personally and seats you at your table, before going on to recommend a good wine produced by someone he knows personally. In the kitchen, chef Ollie Clark (Bruno Doucet's former second-in-command) unveils an unpretentious menu (there is often offal to be had), made using quality ingredients carefully selected by the owner, eg ceps cooked a la plancha, cep cream; wild mallard, salt-crusted beetroot and sage chips." - Michelin Inspector

Had the Pâté en crôute and the tartare de filet Mignon. Both were delicious, but the tartare may have been the best meal I ate in Paris. Service was great and super friendly. Waiter spoke a bit of English and was happy to explain some of the menu to me.

The food here is amazing, if not some what different. I started with the pate en crute which was amazing and followed this up with the 16 hour cooked beef cheek, this was cooked to perfection, to finish off I had the fromage, a selection of 4 cheeses each one nicer than the last. My partner started with the scallops followed by the pigeon vol au vant and finished with the Ciemeux chocolat. I had this with a half bottle of the house red wine, which was the best I'd had in Paris, I just wish that I could remember what wine it was so that I could get some more.

Spectacular meal and service. All of the dishes exceeded expectation and excellent wine recommendations for any budget. Note menu changes daily so use what I posted as an example. Wine from around €30

French bistrot cuisine. Tasty and perfectly executed. A friendly staff. A bargain lunch menu for less than 20€. A long list of delicious (natural) wines. A must-go in the vicinity.

Was invited there and never heard about the place before ! A small and humble facade restaurant with some amazing super quality food ! The chef is so creative and the food super nice and tasty ! I had a cold brocoli soup which was so good and a piece of grilled cabillaud and it was also great and well cooked. The lunch meal price meal price is super fair concidering the quality and the menu looks great and the price really shows the quality of the place ! Not expensive for the food you have .. i will go back for sure

I started with a full bodied balanced red wine paired with sourdough bread and a variety of cheeses. Followed by leeks then black pollock and an organic white french beer. Everything was delicious and deserving of top Michelin rating. Price was modest.

There are lots of great things to say about this storied bistrot. The food menu, which changes every day, did not disappoint whatsoever, even though charting familiar territory in terms of flavours and texture. The tiny kitchen is clearly run with a steady and creative hand by the compact brigade and his chef. The wine list is all about biodynamic and natural labels… many of whom were unfamiliar to me, and thanks to the knowledgeable and friendly service team, we homed in on a couple of bottles including a wonderful Volnay 1er cru. All in all, a lovely dinner on arrival in Paris, right off the plane!

Yelp
They live up to their name, which means "only good things". We sought out this off-the-beaten-path Parisian bistro because of the epic wine list (with lots of natural wines) and decadent, generous servings of French fare like tartare, terrine, joue de boeuf, or cervelle de veau (sheep brain) if you're into that. Presentation is gorgeous, with hearty portions. The vibe is utterly French, vibrant, with wine flowing all night. The atmosphere is super comfy, clean and classic. It's near Buttes Chaumont park so not a place you'll stumble upon easily, but a very memorable meal if you're looking for something tres francais (and tres filling).

Yelp
One really really cool wine menu. I've been there every now and then the last 6-7 years. Food can be delicious but the wine menu is what brings me back again and again. The patron is really into wine and care for good food and good ingredients. The only minus might be that the patron does have a strong personality and not sure it fit with everybody, not even that I am always in the mood. It can feel a bit ostentatious or patronizing... but hell, do we want something smooth and without personality?

Yelp
My friend and I had a wonderful lunch here due to the wine, well-cooked food, and the warmth of the owner. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last dinner in Paris at the end of a trip. A splurge but worth it for a special meal. I had a steak with gratin potatoes and everything was beautifully cooked.
