Restaurant Sébastopol

love this place:) the manager and staff are so friendly even though we don’t speak French. The combination of food is fresh and tasty. Love the pork very much, but wish the kombucha was hand made

We'd walked past this restaurant earlier in the week and thought it looked inviting. Do go! The food is amazing, only a few dishes which change on a regular basis but what is on offer is superb at such fantastic prices! The staff were lovely and even gave us an English menu even though we'd tried to translate most of it beforehand. The best meal me and my friend have had in quite a long time. I wish we'd gone when we first arrived as we'd definitely have fitted in another visit before we left.

Quite possibly the best dinner I’ve had in all of France!! The food was delicious and very well presented. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. He happily assisted us with wine selections and even answered all of my questions, despite my basic level of understanding French. For fellow Americans visiting, don’t be discouraged by the restaurant’s location. It is situated next door to the theater, but appears to be in an area where most of the businesses cater to the university crowds. However, the interior was pleasantly decorated and had a warm and slightly modern atmosphere. We would definitely dine at the Sébastopol again!!

Excellent meal is Lille. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and good food. The waiter was helpful with wine choices too. It’s a changing menu but I had the perfect eggs with cheese to start followed by beef skirt then the cherry and chocolate dessert. I thought the meal was very good value for money

Overrated restaurant - nice food but poor service. We ordered two starters and two mains (veal and cod). While the food was fine, it was served quite slowly. We were the first to arrive for dinner, but after finishing our starters, it took at least 45 minutes for the mains to arrive. No one checked in with us to ask how the meal was, and it was clear that the front of house was overwhelmed because the kitchen couldn’t keep up with orders. What disappointed us most was the wait after finishing our mains. Despite making eye contact several times, we waited over 30 minutes with the empty plates still on the table. When we finally asked for the dessert menu, they brought us the bill instead. It made us wonder what the point of that long wait was.

Amazing food and service. We had sea bream with risotto as the dish of the day and it was superb. Alex looked after us so well and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Liked that place. Simple menu, good food, good value for money. And the service is wonderful.

The food is creative, and very tasty. The chef is very talented and offers a varying menu all extremely well priced making this place a cheap gastronomic expérience. The wine list is eclectic and contains magnificent bottles at fair prices. I cannot sufficiently recommended this difficult to beat QPR restaurant
