"Somewhere between a French brasserie and a very Texan restaurant, Serenade is a new all-day spot in the 2nd Street District. Expect to find dishes like duck confit with Texas root vegetables, and blue crab benedict over griddled corn cakes." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

Came here a while back for my birthday, just didn’t have a chance to post review here. The food was phenomenal, definitely on the expensive side, but the quality is great and the flavors are so rich. I loved the scallop- they’re big and juicy and so fresh. The lamb chops are also very tender and well seasoned. Loved the vibe and the service was fantastic. We came on a day when they didn’t do wine tasting. Would love to come back to do the wine pairing menu.

Quite the charming place. I was there for a corporate event-presentation so didnt get to experience full menu or the bar but even walking through gave a very pleasant vibe. Place has many rooms including few private conference rooms, a bar and plenty of dining space. Very cozy. Located in the center of Chester! Plenty of free parking available. We had a menu from which i went with tuna tar-tar - two thumbs up, steak fritz - was cocked to perfection and fries was excellent too. For desert i had their sorbet with berries - delish! Would gladly return there again!!! They have gluten free and vegetarian options available… Overall it feels this used to be a private house that was turned into a restaurant which gives an extra cozy feeling.

Really cool place. I love the atmosphere. All food was amazing. Best crab cake I’ve had.

Google
Amazing on all levels! The dinning room and bar area have that old world charm ambiance. I really enjoyed the warm grilled Octopus appetizer, and my pork chop which was massive and perfectly cooked. It was served with a crispy potato pancake, some broccolini and delicious apples and chutney jam. Perfection!

Google
Upscale decor and smiling attentive service begin your journey for a truly special meal. The “raos style” meatballs were oh so tender. The autumn salad with fried goat cheese was wonderful. The rack of lamb and chicken France were both fantastic. I personally didn’t love the apple cobbler dessert but the chocolate tart was great. We really really enjoyed ourselves. The high top tables in bar are a little cramped and with no backs the stools aren’t the most comfortable but we couldn’t reserve a table in the dining room even a week in advance. Throughly enjoyed our meal and our wait staff was fantastic as well.

Google
Good concept, poor execution. Mostly mediocre food at this price point. The octopus was chopped up so small and over cooked it was barely recognizable. The Lamb was under seasoned and not cooked evenly. Peanutbutter and Jelly Foie gras was confusing and drowned out the quality of the Foie. Short rib tortellini had quality meat but also lacked depth with the sauce Had many desserts and none really shined. Service was good, but the creeking floor that moved whenever someone walked by was not welcomed. Would not repeat

A cool mix of modern and classic, sexy, jazz bar vibes. Perfect for a romantic, special occasion dinner with my love. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. The service is impeccable. So many gluten free options! And they made me feel so special for my birthday. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

If you want a culinary experience with a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic cocktails and delicious food try Restaurant Serenade in Chatam, NJ. This lovely French restaurant makes you feel right at home its four dining rooms. Each with it's own unique charm. We had the room with fireplace, which made it extremely cozy on this chilly winter night. We had cocktails in the bar which also had a fireplace. Saturday night had the prefix menu which cost $83. It include an appetizer, entree and dessert. For appetizers we started with an additional supplement. It was a sampling of three different caviar. A nice introduction for those who may want to take the dive. The grilled octopus with potatoes was another as well as the crab cake were hits. The dover sole over risotto was very lite and the risotto very creamy. The rack of lamb were imported which was a disappointment but, cooked to perfection, a medium rare delight. The filet mignon was a hit and again a perfect medium rare served with crisp fries. Dessert was apple crumb with vanilla ice cream. Their wine list was extensive and expensive and selection was perfect. There is on-site parking in their own lot. Service was very attentive and professional. Well worth it.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing experience! Service is spectacular, recommend! The people who works there knows about the food and services, they help you to order what you like and the food is the best!

Yelp
I enjoy seafood, but I wouldn't necessarily come here for the seafood. I enjoy risotto, but not here. Stellar plating, but items on the menu seem like a hit or miss. I can see why the server recommended the burger over the shrimp. The shrimp risotto was salty. The risotto itself had a salty flavor that seemed to overpower the creaminess. The shrimp itself was too salty. I ordered the salad which was so so and a little over salted. L1 larger heirloom tomato with 1 fried mozzarella ball. Wish it had more than just 1 mozzarella stick. A bit of a salty letdown. I came the day before and the items I ordered tasted better than today's. I recommend their steak with the fries. Very tender steak, not overdone with grilled/roasted veggies. I enjoyed the gnocchi- the prosciutto wasn't dry and the asparagus was grilled nicely. So I would give this place a 4 Stars if you shyed away from their seafood entrees.

Yelp
Ambiance upstairs is like a closet. The food was great. The service was good but noticed the next day the waiter charged me for an extra glass of wine which was not ordered or served. If you are directed to sit upstairs walk out!! It's a rude place to be seated.

Jim S.

Yelp
We took takeout recently and it was pretty good. I have tried different items over the years on the menu and it's always been pretty good. This time we tried the short rib tortellini which was very good. The grilled octopus was also very good. The meatballs are pretty good, not sure what cheese is on them. The Berkshire pork chop was very tasty, as was the Halibut. I kind of wish the my had some French Bistro staple items on the menu all the time like French Onion Soup, Steak Frites, Sole Meunière, Beef Bourguignon, etc. Just an idea.

Michael M.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. Staff very attentive and caring. Loved the furnishings, chairs were comfortable. Had price fix sample menu for $79. Included soup, appetizer, entree, dessert and coffee. Waiter was kind enough to do substitutions of fishes for lent. Will be returning

John N.

Yelp
It has been over 10 years my wife and I had been to this restaurant. We enjoyed it then. I am sure the quality of service and food has not changed. Farm to table as I recall were quite good.

Bella M.

Yelp
Had a pretty nice dinner here with very good service. The octopus and scallop appetizers were delicious. Scallops were perfectly seared, and were the star of my dinner. Both the sole and the lamb were cooked well, however, I prefer my lamb ribs to be chopped individually instead of doubles. It is easier to eat. The fish had a few bones in it which was unfortunate, but the risotto was really flavorful and very well cooked. The crème brûlée didn't have a crunchy sugarcoating, it was kind of soggy. The coconut cake was not something to write home about. Otherwise a really decent meal and a nice ambience. It would have been a little nicer if the bread served was warm- instead my focaccia piece was cold, and a little stale/hard. If the butter were a little closer to room temp it would be spreadable. Small touches make a big difference.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday night. There is a pre fixe menu in which you can do the sampling for a set price or choose from the menu an appetizer, entree and dessert pre fixe. My husband did the sampling with wine pairing. It was phenomenal. The food was perfect, but even more perfect was the service. This restaurant had the most attentive service my husband and I have experienced in a really long time. Our sparkling water glasses were never empty, bread was provided as needed, the wait staff checked on us frequently between each course. Everyone on staff seemed to work as a team. Superb! We will definitely be back! Pictures attached are of the salmon with quinoa dish that was on the sampling menu and the filet mignon.

Uzma K.

Yelp
This restaurant was very nice, elegant and perfect for special occasion. People sat really close to each other so we could overhear a lot of conversations, it's definitely an intimate setting. I enjoyed the food, it was good it could've used a little bit more seasonings but overall they used fresh ingredients and used that to their advantage for natural flavor in most things they used. The service was great and the food came out really fast which I was happy with! They brought me a scoop of ice cream with a candle in a espressso cup which was also a sweet touch. Overall good, solid place. Definitely should try if you haven't been for a special someone or a nice night out!

Angel H.

Yelp
The quality of food here is unbeatable. Every dish has so many layers of flavor and each sauce is delicately prepared. The lamb and the steak are so finely seared, perfectly prepared to the medium rare we like. I loved the lobster bisque and the scallops. Came here on my birthday and even though they didn't do wine pairing dinner that day, the manager did his own wine pairing for me. Will always remember their superb customer service!

Justine D.

Yelp
Always a good experience. Very nice menu and service is consistently good. The setting is always casually elegant.

Yelp
I've been to Serenade several times over the years and always found it to be a pleasant, but not great experience. Over the past 6 months I have been there twice and find the portions are getting smaller and the prices are sky high. I get it...restaurants are not an easy enterprise and no one is forcing me to eat there. What I do find very offensive is sitting in a dining room paying luxury prices and sitting next to men in shorts and sandals. Many local restaurants have instituted a dress code...not very rigid, just respectable and in keeping with the desired ambiance and service of the place. It's time for Serenade to do that.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
This was our first visit and all I can say is excellent. We made a reservation for 2 and Mike was our server totally top notch. I ordered a Cosmo to start and it was delicious.... made perfectly... some delicious sourdough rolls and butter upon request.... so good For our app we split the cauliflower steak... This was so unique and tasty, especially the sauce... definitely get this. For entrees... I had the filet mignon, medium cooked perfectly served with potato purée, Roasted carrots and red wine sauce.... So delicious... My hubby Had the Swordfish with the Lobster risotto, he said it was one of the best he's ever had. Perfectly cooked and flavorful... For dessert they have one of the best pastry Chefs in the area. Definitely don't skip dessert here.... We had the lemon Chiffon cake the cream in this cake was wonderful... already thinking of when we can go back... So needless to say I don't give out many 5 stars but this I would give more. Also We got a chance to meet Chef James, he's the best and his wife Nancy so friendly and welcoming... I can't wait to return... Definitely make a reservation and get here ASAP!

Yelp
Enjoy Restaurant Serenade for so many reasons. First, the versatility. We've met friends for casual get togethers in the bar area for drinks and dinner and celebrating holidays and milestones in the finer dining room. The food is creative, flavorful, and well-prepared and presented. It's obvious the kitchen does not take shortcuts on the preparation. Everything looks and tastes fresh! There is something on the menu for everyone, steak, burger, salads and fish. The staff is professional but not stiff or stuffy and the service is attentive but not overbearing. Dishes are put down and removed without being intrusive. Most important though is Serenade's consistency of quality every time we have dined here. Restaurant Serenade is well worth the trip anytime for any occasion or no occasion at all.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Ambiance was a terrible due to the table we were given. It was right outside the bar entering into the dining area and the entire evening you are just looking at all the people traffic in front if you. Customers coming and going, hostess coming and going, waiters and staff coming and going. This table should not even exist at a restaurant like this. It should only be used for walk-ins that are willing to take it. We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. This table was unacceptable. Food and service were good, but I will not be back anytime soon. The last time I was there I was also given a table upstairs and there was a big group up there and then just me and my husband. No ambiance. I guess you need to be a vip to get a good table at this restaurant. How the hell do you get a table in the dining room?

Brittany M.

Yelp
I came here for a business dinner. It is very upscale and the service was great. I started off with The Stone Fence cocktail, featuring apple pie whiskey, bourbon, and apple cider- it was a nice warming cocktail, perfect for a chilly fall or winter night. I then ordered a salad off of the specials menu, it was very fresh and it had a good mix of lettuce and other ingredients- my favorite part was a toasted breaded goat cheese that came with it- so delicious. For my meal I had the t-bone steak special and it was flavorful however I felt it wasn't as juicy as it should have been. It also came with a potato pancake and the best roasted vegetables I've had to date. Lastly, we had dessert which was amazing. There was a lemon tart special which I enjoyed the most, and pretty much ignored everything else on the table lol. 5/5

Gerald N.

Yelp
3.7 stars. Came on a weeknight for a business event. I'll update my review if/when I come back. Felt that the service was a bit disorganized and frantic although I do give them the benefit of the doubt as there was another business event going on at the same time. At the same time, they were pleasant and helpful. 1. Crab cake appetizer - Great presentation. Filled with delicious crab with a few pieces of soft shell. 2. Sea bass - 3/5. Had way better elsewhere. This was dry and too herby for my taste. The dryness was what bumped the score down though. 3. Apple tart dessert - Larger dessert than what you'd think. Loaded with apples. Pretty good. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd give it another shot. One because the prices are higher than NYC and I'm not convinced I'm getting quality better than NYC french food.

Deb A.

Yelp
Crabcake was absolutely delicious. Jumbo lump without much fillers. Shrimp was fresh and poached perfectly. I love the shaved black truffle. This is not only yummy, but also a beautiful appetizer. Hangar steak cooked medium, but not as tender as it look. Apple cobbler- was served warm, too sweet. Large portion. Could be shared between two people.

Idania D.

Yelp
Having seen Restaurant Serenade on NJ Monthly's top 25 list several times gave me a good reason to add it to my restaurant radar. I decided to try it for my husband's birthday dinner. The exterior has a certain beauty and charm as you ride by and pull up into their parking lot. The interior has several levels. Each is tastefully done with a simplistic, modern elegance. We were graciously greeted and seated upstairs. Our server provided good service throughout the evening- no complaints. They have a nice wine list which includes many French selections. I have to mention their sour dough rolls- baked on the premise and simply amazing. I could have made a meal out of them. We dined on a Saturday evening so we went with their three-course menu. Appetizers: Tuna Tartare Short Rib Tortellini Entrees Seared Tuna Sea Bass with Lobster tomato risotto-outstanding Dessert Crème Brulee Apple Dessert Restaurant Serenade was a top notch, fine dining experience and worthy of its ratings. We enjoyed our evening and would definitely add it to the "destination restaurants" list.

Bbq B.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere for dinner. That's primarily what it's good for. Food is pretty good if they don't pile on top every last shred of the weeds growing in the back yard and gravy over the dish. Price is, imo, for those who have at lease a 40 ft. yacht in Florida and suffer from fair skin with Rosacea. You'll feel right at home.

Angela S.

Yelp
For our early 20th anniversary dinner we went to Serenade, the restaurant we've been going to since getting married! It's our favorite celebration spot and it never disappoints! Food was fabulous as always, cocktails wonderful; we ordered Paper Planes cocktails to start, the caviar tasting was delicious, oysters are my hubby's choice, the tortellini and steak frites just amazing! The warm chocolate tart just so yummy and it was so nice that they acknowledged our anniversary too! Highlight of the evening was chatting with Chef James.. he's the owner as well as executive chef and he took the time to come over to thank us for supporting them throughout the years.. we so enjoyed talking to him it made our anniversary dinner even more special!

Ahunawar C.

Yelp
Great place. Love the food especially the appetizers. One of the best places in Chatham, always reliable and the chef James is almost always in the kitchen running the show.

Lily R.

Yelp
Food was good and ambiance was nice. However, we had a very intense server when dining upstairs, who we heard arguing loudly (& rudely) with other staff members on the stairs - she was young so I would chalk up her unprofessionalism to immaturity .... Everyone else who we encountered was kind and efficient - just a poor server unfortunately.

Ava S.

Yelp
A sublime dining experience down to the finest detail. Everything served to our party of four was beyond perfection ~ and I must add that this is one of the VERY few places that offers a caviar appetizer. STRONGLY SUGGEST: Cosmo, chocolate tart, lamb and definitely the caviar. We will definitely be back!!

Chris R.

Yelp
Third visit here and the food and service was great. Recommend the short rib tortellini if it is on the menu.

Bob S.

Yelp
Went here last night with 2 other couples to celebrate my friends birthday. We were seated promptly and drinks were served quickly. I ordered The Spicy Margarita off their drink menu and it was very tasty. 3 in our group ordered old fashions with a special bourbon , but only received burbon on the rocks. After a complaint it was quickly remedied. We all had the price fixe menu. For appetizers we had oysters, salads , grilled octopus and cauliflower steak among us and all agreed it was good to excellent. For dinner I had the rack of lamb ( two lamb chops) and others at table had salmon , filet, and halibut. Everyone thought very good but some thought portions were rather small. We had a variety of desserts that all seemed to enjoy. Staff was very attentive but there was long waits between courses. Their excuse was because they were servicing a large party near us( not a good excuse for me) . Place is worth a try because of good food.

David H.

Yelp
I called ahead of time to request a special table for a special event. When we arrived we were shown to a table right in front of an entrance to another room where all the servers walked back and forth. After expressing my disappointment and three other terrible table moves, we were given a better table. When I spoke to the maitre'd who is also the manager, he said "we do our best". Is this "...our best"? I wrote to him after and have had no reply. It ruined our very "special" evening. JoannH

Yelp
Loved my meal at Serenade. The ambiance in the back is nice and warm, while the bar area was lively and packed on a Saturday night. Our waitress was helpful and didn't rush us which was great. She offered up her opinions/suggestions when asked. Octopus appetizer - the octopus was already cut up into bite size pieces which was great for me. Everything on the plate went together very well, the olives, lemon, potatoes...yum. Salmon with mushrooms, quinoa risotto, and mustard sauce was so delicious. The salmon was buttery soft and perfectly cooked. The flavors were very balanced and overall it was a very enjoyable dish. Lemon tart - I'm a huge fan of any citrus dessert and this did not disappoint. Perfectly tart curd with an extremely refreshing berry sorbet. There wasn't a crumb left on the plate. There aren't many vegetarian options unfortunately, but they were able to make my husband a veg risotto. Our dining companions had the duck special which they loved. The GM did stop by with our wine and one of our dining partners asked him for some food suggestions. He started to respond but unfortunately got distracted and walked away without really answering, so that was unfortunate. Lucky for him, our waitress stepped in and was able to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. What a treat to have this great find so close to home.

Betty R.

Yelp
What a disappointment. This used to be an elegant restaurant with delicious food. It was our "go to" place for a special night out. Tonight was so sad....to start the rolls they offered were hard and not tasty. The meals were very expensive and hardly edible. The service was awful. They carried the food upstairs - not on a tray and not covered - just with someone's thumb on our plate and people breathing on it all the way to our table!!! By the time it got to us it was not hot. The presentation of the food resembled an inexpensive chain restaurant...no elegance at all. The dessert was cold and inedible. They use to put little candies on the table after the meal...that is gone as well. The rooms were stuffed with tables...not spaced and elegant. All in all we would say to avoid this restaurant.

Sal C.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. We did the prefixed menu and enjoyed everything about it.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly and the place was very nice! I only had the cheese burger. The food and drinks are very expensive.

Catherine P.

Yelp
Massively underwhelming. However, the service was excellent, most professional. Thank you, Ali. Your service was the best part of the meal. The food was good. In the case of the swordfish, very good. However, nothing else merited a very good rating. Though indeed, all was good. Given the reviews, one expected better than "good." We were most disappointed. After reading the reviews and seeing NJ Magazine's top 25 placement, I expected an excellent dining experience. Not what we experienced. I truly think that, at some point in the past Serenade was probably an excellent dining experience. I suspect that they're now resting on their laurels, and have become somewhat complacent. The food in no way lives up to the hype.

Rene B.

Yelp
2/2/18 We're back and had another great experience. Octopus starter Crab cake Salad Beef special - over cooked Fish 2/14/17 Wow!! Loved this place. We went here on Valentine's Day and it was such a great experience. Very lovely restaurant with an intimate bar scene. Love the ambiance - nice music, modern and comfortable chairs, very sophisticated vibe. This restaurant fully embraced the Valentine's theme! Cocktails for two and a valentine set menu. Cocktails for two?! - nice marketing gimmick for Valentine's Day. One of the drinks was called "climax". We passed on the cocktail for two. Drinks Old smokey Chimey beer Valentine's Day menu Octopus - filling and very good Pork -incredible! Get this! It looked delicious and delivered. Lobster - very good Dessert - crime brûlée and ice cream combination was simply a culinary delight! We loved this place! A great Valentine's Day find!! The restaurant also has Valet parking but you can also park in the lot across from the restaurant and save those dimes for dessert!

Yag P.

Yelp
I am a frequent diner of the Serenade and consider it the top restaurant in the area. This is one of the rare suburban locations where the service, ambiance and food are all on point. Ingredients are fresh and local and there are always specials in the menu which keeps me returning time and time again for business lunches. I love that the servers are knowledgeable and can navigate through the menu with ease. The bread is also amazing and some of the desserts are to die for. I would encourage you to try the fish entrees as they are almost always perfectly cooked and prepared with very fresh fish. However what is VERY surprising about this restaurant is that they really do a poor job accommodating to vegans. My wife is vegan and I have called several times over the years and the response we get is "we can modify the salads and the vegetables can be sauteed with olive oil, but we don't have anything specific for vegans". The suburbs are a hard place for vegans and sanctuary should be found in the few high end restaurants with talented chefs. As a result, I am knocking off a star from my review and hope that the restaurant gives some serious consideration to addressing this lapse.

Olivia J.

Yelp
Food was amazing and consistent over the three-four times I went. I usually do not enjoy dessert at most restaurants but the creme brûlée and chocolate tart were very flavorful and had great textures. The entree menu was on the smaller side but diverse, no complaints on anything I tried. Service was only slightly above average, but the ambience is nice and it feels spacious when you are seated. I would definitely recommend for a nice dinner out for a smaller party/group.

Bennett T.

Yelp
I was here with family and had a great time. I was really impressed with the menu and the wine menu. I haven't seen so many wines in a long time! I like how they gave a preset amount per person $79.95 in November 2021. The menu was simple and easily understandable. The meal started out with bread. I was disappointed that they didn't have any gluten-free bread, which should be available in a high end restaurant like this. For my appetizer I had an octopus. It was very good except the sauce was a bit too lemony. For dinner I had the Filet Mignon Steak Frites with French Fries. It was great. For dessert, I had sorbet since I am dairy free too. I had a cappuccino and it was awesome. Overall the meal was a 5, but I am giving 4 stars since the lack of gluten-free bread and gluten-free and dairy free desserts

Mags M.

Yelp
Great place for drinks. And always great service. I used to love the food here but the last three times I have been here, the food was just not good. The last time I came I assumed the head chef wasn't in the kitchen because everything was just "meh" but he came out to say hello to someone so he was there. Not sure why the food is going downhill.

Nick B.

Yelp
Went once before for work and food was decent. Tonight however disappointed doesn't even begin to describe the experience. My wife and I were trying to remain positive and we couldn't find one positive thing about our dining experience. Prices are high but I'm always willing to pay for high quality; what we got was anything but. Starting with the $6 "house made" bread - it was cold and stale and the table next to us also asked if they could at least warm it up. Our short rib tortellini appetizer was dry and disappointing. My drink - the bourbon "warm hug" had barely any bourbon in it. The table next to us was a party of 8 and on top of us. Hard to even hear across the table. For our entrees, my wife ordered the steak medium rare and it came out very well done. She had a few bites - it was like shoe leather. I had the spareribs and they were flavorless and very fatty. We both left hungry. Such a huge waste of $300. Would never return. There's so many better places around. Not sure what the attraction is to this place.

Mel H.

Yelp
Have only ever been in the bar section, so this review is about my experiences there. Intimate little bar with window seating at tall tables and a fireplace at the end of the room that's located next to nothing - literally; it's basically situated where the hostess stands, so you can't really even see it, feel it, or appreciate it...but I suppose it still means they get to advertise that they have a fireplace to attract customers in the winter. Decent food at the bar and a unique cocktail menu. But man, the bartenders need a few lessons in friendliness. Very uncommunicative, at times seem to have an attitude like you're bothering them. Huh? Then again, I've encountered the owner, and he may be a good chef but he can also be kind of a jerk, so maybe that's what they're going for there. That said, it doesn't keep me from going back. Love the atmosphere in the bar area (just ignore the bartenders except for ordering drinks), and like I said, the drinks do not disappoint. Oh, one other weird thing that's kind of a turn off: apparently there can be a waitlist to sit at the bar. What? A couple of times we've just walked out and gone elsewhere because, well, WAIT LIST for the BAR? Give it a try. If you're lucky, you'll get a seat, the bartenders will be in a good mood, and you'll definitely have some memorable food and/or drinks (that will make a nice dent in your wallet). UPDATE 9/2020: Recently ate dinner here, first time having a full meal at Serenade. The parking lot setup is lame, but that's no one's fault...except that they've done nothing to create any atmosphere if you don't happen to get a table under one of the tents (we didn't). Food was average, definitely overpriced. Noticed on the menu that they charge for bread - what?! Absolutely no interest in returning.

Nickarson P.

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday night for our 15 year anniversary. We were greeted warmly when we entered and had our coats taken. We were quickly seated and our amazing waiter, Jose, came over to greet us. We ordered the Cosmo and the Latin Lover for drinks and they were perfect! We ended up ordering another round because they were so good! We had the scallops as an appetizer. Easily the best scallops both of us have ever had. They were cooked to perfection and really fresh. Next, we had the bacon salad which was also amazing. I must also mention Emily who worked with our waiter. She was very kind and pleasant. She went above and beyond and was ALWAYS attentive to our needs! She took pictures of us and even suggested a better back drop for us. She also gave us good food recommendations. My wife ordered the halibut and cleaned her plate. I ordered the lamb chops and brussel sprouts with risotto. These were probably the best brussels I've ever had! The chef even came out at one point and offered me more. I regret declining! I didn't want to seem greedy! LOL! The ambience was lovely. It is the PERFECT date night spot. We will certainly be returning.

Renee W.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The one thing that was weird is that they charge you for bread at a table. That's nuts

Lee C.

Yelp
Perfect evening. I went with the tasting menu / wine pairing. Everything was delicious. My wife opted for the salmon entree only which was delicious and well portioned. The pace of servings was quite congenial with the two of us having different courses. Mike was attentive and gracious. The bread and butter was delectably with the perfect hint of salt, served by the sweetest lady. We were on the earlier side of a Friday night and atmosphere was calm with a nice noise level. Highly recommended.

Reyna A.

Yelp
Amazing meal! Every appetizer and every entree that we order were spot on delicious. The service impeccable.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Fish was not fresh, smelled and tasted bad. Short-rib tortellini were grisly. Over-priced and decline in quality from from a couple of years ago.

Yelp
Went to dine here tonight for my parent's anniversary and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Will definitely recommend coming here and will be dining here again soon! Here's a brief overview: 1. Atmosphere: intimate, but not too cramped. Volume isn't bad at all. You do not have to yell over other people's voices just to hear yourself or anyone else you're conversing with. The interior design is homey, with a touch of modernism and pop of colors, along with some beautiful artwork. The staff was very attentive and patient and friendly. 2. Appetizers: got the grilled octopus. It was beautifully executed. Right blend of flavor. The octopus was not chewy like chewing a bubble gum or rubber-like, but rather soft and easy to chew. 3. Entrees: I had the lobster and I LOVED it!!! It really was tender and juicy! It did not need any butter or lemon, or requiring a knife to cut it. It really melted in your mouth and leave you wanting more. Seafood, especially Lobster, can be overwhelming sometimes, especially when it comes to American cuisine, so it being a French cuisine, meant smaller but just enough portions. Everyone enjoyed their meal and nothing was overlooked or over cooked. 4. Desserts: The apple cobbler and the creme brûlée are wonderful!!! The apple cobbler was the right amount of sweetness and crunch. The homemade ice cream was well-blended and the right amount of consistency and sweetness. The creme brûlée had the nice touch of biscotti which added a great balance of texture and boosted the presentation of the dish. Tips: - Definitely listen closely to the specials as the specials sounded delicious as well (just had halibut the other day at a different restaurant, so I decided not to have halibut again). - Parking: there is a parking lot on the side and along the rear of the restaurant. We went in the evening at around 7pm, so the offices around the restaurant that shared the parking lot were closed, therefore there was lots of vacant spaces. - At the end of your meal (including after dessert) you are given a complimentary treat that consists of a candied fruit, cookies, and a petite muffin (I happened to have eaten a carrot cake muffin). - I WOULD SUGGEST MAKING A RESERVATION, especially if going on a weekend, as it gets pretty busy. - NO DRESS CODE, but do dress appropriately and neatly. Servers are in a suit-like outfit and looked very presentable and professional. *****VISIT me & more of my food adventures not posted on yelp through my Instagram @DEVERA.CARMINA***

Yelp
Overall this is a well established restaurant which I have been to several times before. I wish the food menu was half as extensive as the wine menu (23 pages). It does cover most preferences with at least one selection in each category, but is not too broad. There is a $75 per person tasting menu (4 courses) with soup, salad, choice of a fish or meat entree, and a choice of dessert. The wine list is quite extensive and quite expensive, and really changes the price range of dining here. Yes, there are a handful of wines under $100 a bottle, but on average, all the wine is marked up to at least three times its open market price. The shredded short ribs tortelloni are very good. The filet mignon was also good but cooked slightly more than the requested temperature. The flourless molten chocolate cake was the best dessert. The service is very efficient and polite. They seem to push the sparkling water if you are not drinking wine or cocktails. As nice an ambiance as this restaurant has, the wine prices make me seek other equally good restaurants with more extensive menu choices that are BYOs, or allow a more reasonable corking fee option for wines not on their list. It's unfortunate, but I am not excited about returning any time soon.

Yelp
I loved it! Went for lunch, ordered the non-alcoholic C'est la Vie, which was spectacular. Was served totally amazing homemade bread for the bread course. Then had the apples & cauliflower soup - fantastic. Then had the hanger steak which was also very good. Since this was my first time I wanted to try dessert, so I got this stunning and delicious lemon tart special. Also tea to finish the meal. Completely satisfied and the price was great. My bill was around $44 for ALL of that. I thought it was a great deal because the quality was so high. I also enjoyed the pretty ambiance and fresh roses on every table.

Yelp
Food was good and atmosphere was nice and romantic. Saturday prefix for $69 god 3 course. Wife's a Scallops were fantastic. That being said, I do prefer Scalini Fedeli down the road better which is comparable in resultant terms.
