Restaurant Sumac

A must if you are in Roses. Great food, excellent service. The establishment is refined, and the service is absolutely sublime. It's was clear that every dish was perfectly balanced - each element was thought of. We had an excellent time and it couldn't have been better.

Had a great experience at this. I won’t give away much about the food so that you also have the experience of discovering it for the first time like us :) They have a very good reasonably priced signature menu. We loved also the selection of wines available there

Solid experience all around. Definitely have to return to experience more dishes. We took the lunch menu which is very reasonably priced. A glass of wine not overcharged. Memorable desert of mascarpone cheese with fruit. The couscous in the lamb tajine was excellent as well as the prawns with mushrooms starter

What an amazing find! We went for lunch but didnt have the menu - we chose the ceviche, tuna, wagyu picanha and a veal cheek. The chef send over complimentary topinambour soup that was probably the best soup of my life and should they decide to put it on the menu as a regular item I swear I would come back if just for that. Fear not - there were plenty of great dishes to come after - the seafood was fresh and ceviche made with great produce but I would advise the chef to consider adding more coriander and more chipotle as mine was only tasting of sumac. Nevertheless great. The picanha was great but the main even was the veal cheek! My goodness - every bite was to die for… the glaze was wonderful and the parmentier was silky and smooth. The meat was fall apart tender and nicely fatty/collageny as it should. Truly a bite of gold. Didnt have any dessert but will be back for sure sometime in the future. Fantastic fantastic place with great food.

Amazing new restaurant in the heart of Roses. Had their menu of 24,50 EUR which I can honestly say is the best menu I have ever had considering the quality and the price. The three-course menu also included a little snack on arrival followed by a small starter. Furthermore water, homemade bread and a glass of selected local wine is also included! The chef came out and explained the different local products that were used in each dish. Moreover, the staff were very attentive and the service was perfectly paced enhancing the whole experience. I would like to congratulate Jordi Dalmau and his incredible hard-working team and wish them all the best.

Friendly owners. Great food, excellent, tasty. Menu at 28,5 euro… wine included. What a deal! Honestly, the best food we had in Roses…

Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to return. Absolute best meal I’vehad all year and I live in New York.
