"If you rely on a restaurant’s list of awards when it comes to booking a table and if the delicious flavour of aged meats brings tears to your eyes, then the Abrasado restaurant (part of the Los Toneles winery not far from the centre of Mendoza - the recipient of various Best of Wine Tourism awards over the years) is the place for you! The dining room, located next to the spaces reserved for tastings and events, boasts a contemporary design and high ceilings, along with a maturing cabinet at the entrance and a bar to the rear with a resident bartender. Although Abrasado offers an extensive à la carte with an impressive array of fresh and aged meats (dry-aged ribeye, T-bone aged in black garlic, fillet steak aged in kombu) designed for sharing, the vast majority of guests opt for its set menus (Andes, 100 Aniversario and Abrasado) as they all include a wine pairing option." - Michelin Inspector

Argentinian Meat: the Star of the Show in the Country’s Best Restaurants

"Set within the Los Toneles bodega, this MICHELIN-recognised restaurant traces its beef from field to fork, cooking Black Aberdeen Angus raised by the winery family on their own land in Río Cuarto—pasture-fed and then grain-finished for intramuscular marbling. Meats are dry-aged 45 days in tightly controlled chambers, then seared on volcanic stones heated over flames to avoid any wood or charcoal aroma and let the beef’s flavor shine. The menu ranges from simply aged ribeye and skirt to bolder maturations like a black-garlic–injected T-bone, a whisky-aged bone-in ‘Bistecca,’ and a tenderloin macerated with kombu; there’s also Angus loin tartare crowned with a crunchy macaron and raw yolk, plus a 330 g skirt steak seared fast and brightened with a strawberry and sherry vinegar creole salsa. Located in Mendoza’s Guaymallén area just minutes from the provincial capital’s center, it showcases a meticulous, traceable approach to Argentine meat." - The MICHELIN Guide

Argentina’s restaurants shine brightly with the announcement of its first-ever MICHELIN Stars!

"As expected, many of these restaurants are centred around traditional and local cuisine, with a special focus on meat and the popular ‘parrilla’, such as at Benedetta, Duhau Restaurant & Vinoteca, El Preferido de Palermo and La Carniceria in Buenos Aires and Abrasado, Fogón Cocina de Viñedo, Quimera Bistró and Renacer in Mendoza." - MICHELIN Guide

Delicious food, amazing service and great ambiance. Not super expensive either considering the high quality and highly rated restaurant. Also has lots of gluten free options, nearly the whole menu! They also can pair the wine with the meal. Highly recommend!

Abrasado is a must-visit, the best empanadas in Mendoza, the food itself is a trip, we were five and ordered very different plates each, each one was a trip! No kidding this is a Michellin star. Ignacio was an awesome waiter! He explained us even the story of the ceiling of the place when we asked, super knowledgeable and advised us on each plate! Also didn't lie on the quality of the empanadas! And the sommelier is an absolute star! She helped us pair the wines and even at the end when we asked her for a good pairing for cigars, she came up with two great options, and even gave us a glass of a 2012 Gran Tonel that was opened already, so we got a great bonus for my brother's birthday! They put us in a great spot of a table, next to the bar and Sebastian at the bar treated us with some delicious mocktails. The bathrooms are single but they are superb in style and cleanliness. The manager helped us light our cigars outside with her blowtorch when we ran out of matches. The care of treatment that these people took on us deserves this long review, I hope this helps you decide to visit!

The BEST steak restaurant in Argetina. We had the spicy tomahawk, the carpaccio and the empanadas which where all mouthwatering and excellent quality. Above all Augusto made that experience even more beautiful. He carried us through the night and gave us an introduction to everything we had. We absolutely recommend this restaurant. Today was our 2nd time here and this time Steven was our waiter and again it was an amazing experience. The meat was excellent and the trout was the best I had till now. Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!

We went to Don Julio in Buenos Aires last night and was blown away with the quality and service. Somehow, however tonight at Abrasado completely blew it away! The ambience, quality of food and service was exceptional. Steven was a superb waiter and the whole team was on hand to make all of our night so special. Amazing!!!

A stunning Argentine meat and wine pairing that we’ll never forget. The team was fantastic, friendly and informative about the food and wines. The pairings were exceptional. The atmosphere was lovely. This is a must do if you’re in Mendoza.

As many others have written, this really is a must-visit if you’re in Mendoza. The grounds are beautiful and the experience is truly special from start to finish. We were served excellently by Augustin, who guided us through the menu and shared many laughs with us, making our experience all the more enjoyable. The bartender also created some aperitif cocktails based on a few prompts we gave, and these were seriously delicious. It was hard not to order everything off the menu, and our highlights were the empanadas, skirt steak and the olive ice cream. But to be clear, every dish was exceptional!

The best beef tartare of life!!!!! Exceptional, dry, aged steaks and well versed sommelier to guide you through your wine selection. If you’re in Mendoza, this is the place to get the most flavorful asado.
