ABYA

"At Abya, top-quality ingredients, impressive technique and plenty of flavour combine to awaken the senses! Renowned chef Aurelio Morales has embarked upon his latest project in the Palacio de Saldaña, an attractive French-inspired building that is now fully dedicated to gastronomy. His cuisine, which is particularly designed for sharing, champions a contemporary style of cooking that is a fusion between Latin American and international dining and which the chef defines as “free and limitless”." - Michelin Inspector

I think this is one of the best restaurants in Madrid, because all the tables were almost full when i came. The atmosphere is good, and they have private room. The food is quite varied and delicious. the avocado salad and beef tacos were fresh, the octopus was tender with sweet pineapple, the seabass was perfectly cooked.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Abya and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Our waiter, Christian from Romania, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. His knowledge of the menu and attentiveness to our needs were truly commendable. He took the time to provide us with personalized recommendations, and each dish he suggested was absolutely delicious. Christian's passion for his work and his dedication to providing outstanding service were evident throughout our entire meal. His friendly demeanor and kind personality created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. He was attentive to every detail, ensuring that we had everything we needed and consistently checking in to ensure our satisfaction. In addition to the exceptional service, the food at Abya was outstanding. The menu offered some options, and each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food was truly impressive. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delight. The combination of the fantastic staff, led by Christian, made us have a great experience. I highly recommend Abya to anyone seeking a memorable meal in a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you, Christian, and the entire team at Abya, for a truly remarkable dining experience. I will definitely be returning to enjoy your exceptional service again.

If I could rate Abya 10 stars, I would. My wife and I made reservations months in advance to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, after having looked at different options in Madrid. We decided on Abya, as the atmosphere seemed nice, and the menu looked varied, interesting, and very much in line with our taste. And Im so glad we were so right! The service was excellent throughout the night, from the moment the taxi dropped us off, to the server taking us to our table, and getting recommendations on wine pairings, and helping us decide on the best dish options. Every recommendation was on point, and matched our taste really well. The food was the star of the show, and it really felt that every dish exceeded our expectations. We went for the tabla de Ibérico to start, and it was very likely the best Ibérico ham we've tasted. Next up were the langoustine rolls. These were tasty, fresh, with a hint of salt from the soy, and the taste of the langoustine always coming through. Next, their famous croquetas. They live up to their name. The ham on top is far from a garnish, it does seal the experience of each bite. The croquetas themselves were spectacular. Ill have a hard time having any others! Then, the Solomillo de Vaca Nacional with truffle cheese fries. Very tasty, not greasy at all, with a nice salty taste in the crust. We finished off with a tarta de queso (cheesecake). Some restaurants overlook desserts. Abya does not. Their attention to detail in crafting such a perfect way to end the evening shows just how much they care. We will definitively make it a habit to make time to visit Abya whenever we visit Spain again. We could not have asked for a better way to celebrate 10 years of memories, love, and companionship. Thanks!

Beautiful atmosphere, food was delicious but service was slow. I would definitely recommend for a date night or a nice lunch.

My visit to Abja in Madrid on a Saturday night left me with mixed impressions. The restaurant was packed, creating a lively atmosphere with a DJ spinning a nice selection of Afro house music, which added to the vibe. Abja is quite spacious, spread across multiple rooms and floors. Downstairs, you dine close to the action, which is probably better suited for a weekend night when you're looking for a lively experience. However, upstairs felt more isolated with a lack of energy and a rather neutral decor that wasn't particularly cozy. In terms of the food, I found it to be average. While we sampled various dishes, none of them stood out as exceptional and justifying the prices, especially when compared to the standards of dining in Madrid. It's worth noting that they automatically add the cost of bread and a welcome aperitivo to your bill without asking, which can catch you off guard. I must also mention that the service at Abja was commendable. The staff was not only efficient but also kind, reflecting the well-known hospitality that is popular in Madrid. Their attentive and friendly service was a positive aspect of the overall dining experience. All in all, Abja might be a better choice for drinks and enjoying the lively atmosphere than a full dinner experience. However, this review is based on personal opinion, and your experience might differ depending on your preferences.

Recent opening in Madrid. They sent so much money on decoration that we were worried the food would be an afterthought, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Great meat, starters, and even a fun passion fruit drink. Go!

Great restaurant! Food in general was really good. Service fast and attentive. The mini burger is amazing. In my opinion the risotto was a bit sweet not the best one. PS: Do not miss the dessert.
