Árbore da Veira

"Located closed to the emblematic artillery batteries that once protected the estuary, this restaurant on top of Monte de San Pedro, will delight guests with its panoramic setting, with tables in the dining room offering views of both the city and the expanse of the ocean. It boasts several rooms for private events, lots of light, large bare tables, innovative tableware, and surprising culinary combinations, including impeccable cream sauces. In his own words, the cuisine of chef Luis Veira, a proud native of the city, focuses the five senses firmly on the Atlantic, reflecting a constant play of flavours and ingredients that he showcases in an updated take on traditional cuisine on his à la carte and enticing tasting menus: Raíces, Árbore (lunchtime only) and Semente (dinner only)." - Michelin Inspector

An exceptional restaurant with a breathtaking ocean view, delectable cuisine, and overall excellent service. Although I didn't opt for the tasting menu, I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary appetizers served alongside the drinks, as well as the delightful sweet bites accompanying my coffee (I initially thought they were part of the tasting menu). The quality-price ratio is commendable. However, I'm withholding a 5-star service rating due to the unfriendly head waiter, who struggled to address my inquiries about certain dishes. Nevertheless, I fully intend to return.

We came here for a mid week lunch and the food, service and atmosphere was top notch. Firstly the views from here are amazing as they overlook A Coruña and the sea. Two of us opted for the €65 tasting menu which was excellent value and since one of my friends was sick, they were accommodating and let him do al a carte. I enjoyed the small touches like a welcome drink and the multiple snacks, followed by 4 dishes, 2 desserts and petit fours. I highly recommend visiting when in A Coruña!

The location is quite breathtaking, we had to spend some minutes around the restaurant before going in. From the beginning when we entered the restaurant, the staff were friendly yet professional. We had the tasting menu and to make it easy opted for the wine pairing. The food was amazing, there was always some surprises - good surprises. The wine pairing was a bit wild, it started with red wine went to white and went back again to red to port wine to white. What an experience!

We enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu, which was plenty of food for me. I misunderstood the first flight of four tastes, which was actually one course, so i wish that had been more obvious, but not a problem. The food was impeccable and paired nicely with a Galician white wine. Reserve in advance and call the morning of your reservation. Bonus:The absolute best views of la Coruña.

Great experience. Excellent food. Outstanding service. Wonderful location. And what was incredible is the price of the 5 courses + appetizers tasting menú. Honestly, for this price in, let's say Norway or UK, you might be able to eat a hamburger with a beer. Here you are enjoying high class cuisine in a fabulous place. Highly recomendable!

It was an amazing experience. The food was great and the place amazing. The service was kind. But we almost felt stressed by the speed they were taking plates or wine. Once the plate was removed when we were still eating. 👎🏽

The restaurant decoration is nice with great view of A Coruña. The waiters are attentive yet some can't speak English. The 1st few appetiters were surprisingly nice. However, the more we eat the more we felt disappointment with the food. Some of them tasted like food from supermarket, greasy and salty. The food combinations were bad that I couldn't force myself to eat them. No layering when I tasted the food. The dessert and the sweets they served at the end were terrible! They taste like those from supermarket. I rather spend 65€ in the supermarket ready made food than eating in this restaurant again. The chef came out to ask for feedback, however he was just acting because when we told him how we felt, he was finding excuses for the terrible food. He asked if i know how to make macarons and thanks God I know as I learned simple french cuisine and pastries. He was trying to shut my mouth up yet he was speechless when I told him I can cook. Haha.. His expression at that time was priceless.
