The 33 Best Restaurants in Bogotá, Colombia | Eater

"For a deep dive into traditional Colombian cuisine, hit up lunch at Doña Elvira. Founded in 1934, the restaurant has a humble facade and a simple cafeteria-style interior. The menu is likewise simple, but it represents the best of everyday Colombian eating. Try the stuffed chicken necks, chopped pork ribs, or the braised flank steak. The original location is in the neighborhood of Galerías, but there’s a second in the city center." - Liliana López Sorzano

Nice traditional Colombian food. It was very good experience as the customers are all local, no tourists.

My favorite food that I had in our three days in Bogotá last weekend. The meats were cooked perfectly. They were tender, juicy, and flavorful. Our juices tasted fresh. I'm so glad we chose this restaurant for our lunch.

The atmosphere here is a A+. Great place to bring family, friends and foreigners to try Colombian traditional food in a more upscale-criollo atmosphere. Even though the food is well made, our family’s opinion is that you can find more tasty traditional dishes in other places such as in farmer marketplaces and other restaurants in the city. The prices are not that bad but you could be paying less for the same quality dishes in other restaurants. At this place you are paying more because of the atmosphere. The service was promptly and friendly. Definitely coming back to bring friends visiting Bogota!

Love it! The best place in Bogotá to try the local typical foods of the central part of Colombia. Be ready to get a huge portion on your table; some dishes are enough for 3 or 4 persons. Don't miss the chance to try the desserts, thay are also awesome!

Very cool, traditional Colombian restaurant. Very large inside. I had the beef tongue and ox tail combo and the meats were cooked to perfection. Very large portions. Would recommend if in Bogota and looking for local cuisine.

This is in my humble opinion the best place to eat real genuine Colombian food. The choice is wide and the dishes are well cooked, the real thing!! This is a Colombian speaking therefore I vouch for the quality and taste of this food. If not a Spanish speaker, you'll find a menu in English. Awesome food!!

Amazing experience, service was excellent. Everything was delicious. Check their hours / schedule before coming. I would highly recommend this place for authentic Colombian food (backed up by what locals said!)

Authentic Colombian food, tasty, good portions. Not impressed with service. Walter didn't engaged, took long to get order, not attended to our needs in a timely manner
