Finca Alfoliz

"This restaurant with a strong focus on sustainability is a dream come true for chef Xanty Elías. Located on a family estate surrounded by fields of crops and protected areas, Finca Alfoliz enables its guests to enjoy its stunning natural surroundings to the full. The restaurant’s modern take on traditional cuisine includes a complete emphasis on seasonal organic products, although it also offers delicious rice dishes cooked in clay pots, grilled meats (including a choice of mature cuts) and fish from the local estuary. We particularly recommend the salted tuna and coriander “picadillo” from the coastal town of Isla Cristina (a typical miners’ recipe from the province of Huelva)." - Michelin Inspector

Absolute gem. Chef Xanty Elías and his team center their dishes around seasonal, local and organic products. We tried different things but our favorites were the tomato salad with tomatoes from the garden with basil ice-cream, a Bloody Mary with fresh tomato juice from the garden. And their rices are delicious, creamy flavour bombs. Next to that the staff is amazing, warm and super welcoming! A must try!

Outstanding service and delicious food. The fried onion was a favourite. We'll definitely go back, there were so many more things we wanted to try on the menu.

From the minute we arrived the staff were very attentive and friendly, they made us feel very welcome. The food and the service through out the evening was of the highest standard. We will definitely be back, hopefully very soon. Second visit up to the same standard of food and service, particularly our waitress, Angela was very attentive.

The brainchild of chef @xantyelias, @fincaalfoliz is the evolution of his family summer home into farm-to-table grill. Just 1hr east of Faro, located in a nature reserve outside of Huelva. Xanty has created a sanctuary of flavour surrounded by his permaculture gardens that serve his restaurant. Despite only having opened 2 years ago, Finca Alfoliz has already been recognised for its sustainability efforts by the @michelinguide with the newly created green star ✳️, deservedly so and although being fairly limited in space (compared to most farms) Xanty and his team have covered the whole plot with their permaculture efforts (make sure to ask for a tour of the gardens), constantly in bloom with an array of colours and textures. Which brings us to the food, alongside some flavour-packed Spanish staples (epic croquetas and jamon-jamon), on this day we tucked into a GIANT perfectly cooked 1.5kg chuleton but I couldn't help but feel FOMO as other tables (clearly in the know) tucked into their clay pot rice dishes. At least now I have a reason to pop back! (As if I needed a reason). See you soon Xanty 👋

Arrived with a delay of 30 minutes, nevertheless we got our table offered. Food was awesome, especially the gambas recommend 10/10!

Amazing hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. The food was delicious and the service outstanding! Strongly recommend! Worth a trip from Sevilla for lunch.

I've been there a couple of times because I lived near for a couple of months. It's a Michelin starred restaurant mostly focused in Andalusian food. As their name tells they are in a farm were they produce some of the stuff they use for cooking.
