"Behind Ikaro’s façade, you’ll find a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and creativity in equal measure, along with the beautiful story of a dream come true. Here, couple Carolina Sánchez (from Cuenca in Ecuador) and Iñaki Murua (from Laguardia in Spain) are two chefs who now combine their working and personal lives after meeting at the Basque Culinary Center. Their attractive yet humble cuisine will surprise guests with its high level of technique, combining their respective culinary worlds: the superb bounty of La Rioja is enhanced by the fruits and condiments of Ecuador, resulting in dishes with incredible flavour.An interesting anecdote here is that Carolina Sánchez, who has become very well known in her role as a judge in her home country’s MasterChef series, has the honour of being the only female Ecuadorian chef to be awarded a Michelin star!" - Michelin Inspector

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ikaro, choosing the Ikaro tasting menu. The meal began at a solid gastronomic level, though without much initial “wow factor.” As the courses progressed, however, the experience built momentum - the final dishes were both outstanding and inventive. The restaurant was full, and the staff occasionally forgot to refill our water, but overall they were attentive and handled the language barrier with genuine effort. At times, the presentations of both food and wine felt a bit hurried. The entire experience lasted nearly four hours and was enjoyable from start to finish. We would gladly recommend Ikaro and look forward to returning when back in Logroño.

Very good flavours & good wines. Loved how the dishes looked and tasted. It was a bit too bright in the restaurant, too much light. Which affects the ambience. Service was on point, very good team work. Very focused, a bit too much sometimes. The Spanish servers don’t really smile, are not hospitable at all. This is what I in generally noticed in Spain, in Ikaro asswell. It affects the experience very much. Try to get to know your guests or pretend that you care. Overall: good, service stiff en not personal

We went to Logroño just to eat at this restaurant on Wednesday and I have to say it was worth it. With the food they created, they deserve more than one michelin star. Bravo to the chefs! Truly recommendable place.. hopefully soon we can come back again

We first visited here two years ago and loved it so much we returned to Logrono on our current trip just to go back here. We were not disappointed. The food is exquisite, the wine pairing excellent and the service is first class. We'll certainly return to Logrono and Ikaro again.

So gorgeous and delicious. Loved the fact that we could sit by the kitchen window to see the chefs in action, like a beautiful dance. The food was spectacularly delicious and truly works of art. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The beat food in Lograño and well deserved Michelin star!

Had lunch here and did the big tasting menu. It was a super fun culinary adventure. Hard to remember what was what on the menu because the foods were so unique. It was a nice relaxing mid day meal and we enjoyed the experience.

At the time I wrote this review, this restaurant has a 4.8 with more than 900 reviews. It is well deserved. The food focuses on flavor first, which is sometimes lost on restaurants of this quality. Very good value for money. Don't miss it.
