The 26 Best Restaurants In São Paulo - São Paulo - The Infatuation

"Be prepared to wait up to an hour for a seat at this traditional ramen joint in Liberdade. Once you’ve made it inside, you’ll chow down next to local families, elderly couples who exchange few words but nod in approval, and a steady stream of food bloggers. The gyoza, served steamed or fried, are generously filled, and the ramen bowls, loaded with slightly chewy homemade noodles, are enormous. There are a number of broths to choose from, but we always go for the rich tonkotsu or the beautifully clear shoyu. A few slices of tender meat, eggs, and scallions finish off each bowl, all for around $5." - tome morrissy swan

A great spot for ramen with a classic, simple Japanese-style ambiance and reasonable prices. I really enjoyed my experience here! Difficult to find where it is, that’s why I put the photo of the place from the street

We were seated very quickly on a Tuesday night at 8PM. Service was courteous, efficient, and prompt. We ordered the miso and shoyu tonkotsu ramen. The broth was flavorful and not too heavy or fatty. It wasn't too salty. The noodles were al dente. The regular size bowl was definitely a lot of food so we should have opted for the mini bowls. The egg yolk was a little overdone than what I'm used to. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. What's more amazing is that the meal came out to less than $35 for 4 bowls of ramen, 4 sodas, and 2 orders of gyoza. How can you beat that? They only accept cash or pix here, no credit cards.

Aska is a very famous ramen restaurant, famous for being cheap and tasty, but there is always a long line, it has always been like that. But the last time I went the noodles were overcooked and the service was worse than the other times. It was pretty much my average visit. I don't think it's worth it just because it's cheap, there are other ramen restaurants that are just as tasty, for just a little more. I wouldn't recommend it this time!

Excellent food and very good environment likewise you are in Japan. The prices are excellent! The only problem of the restaurant are the giant queue to get into the restaurant, which could be longer than 2h depending on the day and time. Also, due to the long queues, you need to order everything you want to eat in one single order to make sure you stay the minimum as possible in the restaurant to help with their long lines.

Delicious and very flavorful meals, price was way cheaper when comparing with the other local cuisines. Down side, very long waiting line (understandable due its popularity) and cash and pix only payments.

We arrived half an hour before opening time and wait 90 Minutes at all for our table. Patience is required and the food and service is ok as well as the price.

It is really a tasteless experience. I know japanese ramen well and this is not it. We tried the shio and shouyu ramen. The noodles are over cooked and the broth is tasteless it taste like maggie broth. The waiter explained something and when its time to pay we were over charged the items. Its really a waste of time and money. I dont know why people queue that much on it. Its really the worst ramen i tried in liberdade

Authentic as you can get here. I grew up with Americanized Japanese food, and also lived in Japan for a period of time and this is some of the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. The shoyu broth is light, with the perfect amount of umami and richness. The noodles are firm and perfectly elastic. The chashu is very fatty and soft. The egg is steeped in soy sauce for flavor (but was slightly overcooked imo). Prices are amazing (30 reais for a bowl of ramen). The gyoza skin is so delicate and seems to be made in house. Perfect crisp on the bottom. The wait was about 1.5 hours on a Sunday. It was worth it and I would do it again. They will definitely see me coming back.
