"Fun, flavour, strong technique and time-honoured memories are to the fore here, coupled with the philosophy of chef Periko Ortega, who adds power to every dish. Three tasting menus, each with a wine-pairing option." - Michelin Inspector

A 48-Hour Itinerary for Córdoba, Spain

"ReComiendo restaurant, led by chef Periko Ortega, offers tasting menus that evoke memories of Andalusia. Dishes include 'potato handkerchiefs', chorizate, gazpacho in a clay container, and 'the Journey from Córdoba to Málaga'. The olive-oil cart features over a dozen options, and the De Oca A Oca petit fours conclude the meal."

What a great experience and I truly feel that there should be more such restaurants. Perfect intro level to fine dining in a very down to earth atmosphere. There were families with children and the price is very low in comparison to what you get. This is the type of place that will not scare off people afraid of the concept of fine dining. I dont think its michelin star quality but I also feel this is not the intention of the chef. What a great ambassador to fine dining!

Can I give more stars? This is not just a restaurant. (I had the tasting menu with pairing wines). They offer an unforgettable show with flavors, art and texts. The explanations about the food is full of stories and details that you want to hear more. The visual is impeccable, artistic, so creative that you almost feel like not destroying the art. Then you finally eat and all you can say is WOW...WOW...Wow.. I had no more words, only that I wanted more and did not want that experience to end. But luckily the next course will start this mixed emotions all over again. I could go on and on, but to finish here, I have to stress the fact that the chef comes to the table to prepare one of the dishes and he does not identify himself as so. At the end, I received a little envelope with the dishes, wines and a list of the people working at the kitchen and at the salon in alphabetical order. the chef did not put his name first. I appreciate the respect he has for his helpers. My server was Sergio, and he was impeccable and answer all my questions, but others came to the table as well and brilliant. Unforgettable food and art performance. The check for two people was US$250!!! too little for the experience I had!

Yesterday we were able to enjoy the wonderful feast that was conjured up by the entire team of ReComiendo. From the reception to the farewell, we were taken by the hand by an extremely friendly team for a top gastronomic journey. Each dish is an art in both taste and presentation and each dish is a story in itself. The matching wines fully accentuate the rich flavors. A heavenly experience for all the senses. Special compliments to Chef Ortega who conjures up a dish at the table in all modesty. But also to the service who presented the dishes in a wonderfully committed and original way and guided us through the entire evening. A top evening for us: we walked back home as two happy people. It couldn't be better, could it? Anne & Jo

Wonderful experience. Everything top. Great tasting menu and mixing the local but also Spanish cuisine and reinventing the classic taste with some modern and interesting touches. We left fully happy. Thx Periko & ReComiendo Team

It's not just amazing cuisine with great wine and music pairings, it's a journey you'll remember. There's a way to take people on a walk on a memory lane that is very captivating. The display of the dishes are a joyride like no other and they always come with a perfectly thought of pairings. The emphasis is on local and Spanish wines. This is truly a fine dining experience, not just a fine dining dinner. A warm and joyful experience!

Wow. Just amazing. Best meal I’ve had in some time and by far the best on my visit to Spain. It isn’t cheap, but it’s great value. So many dishes and we lost track of the accompanying drinks. In the end we felt so full I thought I was going to explode! Fabulous night, amazing service and appreciated meeting the chef.

Very different. Food presentation and taste sensations amazing as was the whole experience. Staff very attentive and explained the make up and rational for every one of the 10 or so courses. Everything of the finest quality including the wine, an extremely good Chablis To illustrate the experience one of the early courses had gazpacho like you have never tasted served in an earthen ware pot and two miniature beer mugs together with a toothpaste tube of extract of chorizo Would I like eat like this everyday, no, will I go again a very definite yes. Not cheap.

Google
Fantastic little restaurant with amazing service and great food. We had the degustation menu which had some brilliant creations and was pair with some great wines from around Spain. They also have a competition between their deserts and ask you to vote on a chalkboard as to which is your favourite, which is a fun touch. Really enjoyed our experience here. It's a little pricey in comparison to other restaurants but you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our experience at ReComiendo. If I could give this place a 4.5 star rating, I would, but that's not possible on the platform. The best way to describe the dining at this spot is a fun experience. We got the smallest tasting menu which ran about 60 euro per person and came with 17 or so different dishes. Each dish has a story and an inspiration behind it, which the team explains with care. This is the first restaurant I've been at where you move throughout the meal. First, you start with apps and then "journey" to the bar where the chef personally explains his inspiration. Then, you go to the dining room for the mains and dessert. There are quirky touches throughout, such as chorizo toothpaste or a COVID 9 gazpacho elixir. We felt the value was very much there for the amount of food that was served. However, while service was at first very attentive and quick, unfortunately after the restaurant filled up, it became very slow. The first 70% of our meal took just over an hour, but the last 30% took an hour and a half. And while we were thrilled by the thought behind the food, I can't say that from a taste perspective I'd like to have many of the dishes again. I still highly recommend the experience though, we definitely do not regret going. So much fun.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple & short: The dinner we got here was a Michelin-star worth feast; i'm actually surprise not seeing this cuisine jewel ranked with at least one star. Our experience started even before going in at their unusual, plane and windowless dark gate at the entrance, with a small and simple 'get the power' button that triggered the start of our longest and best dinner we had in Cordoba. It was a festival of flavors, colors, presentations and designs. Every single dish and glass of wine offered at our table was followed by Periko's extended and friendly explanation of their details. Outstanding experience! Power!
