Restaurante San Carlos Morones Prieto

We had a great lunch! The ribeye was fantastic. All the meats come with a feee salad bar. It was a good portion of food. The only thing we weren’t the biggest fans of was the pay de plátano. I think it was way too much caramel, but other than that, everything was great. we also had excellent service with Valentin and the manager Santiago was great and very attentive! We would definitely come back.

Okay. We love to travel and try different restaurants and this one was one of out choices. The food was very good. The service was very nice, we never needed to call our server. He was right ready for us. The atmosphere was very nice, loud but nice, and is understandable as it was busy and on a Friday.

Was the place to go when I grow up at Monterrey all my life , went back and didn’t see taco locos in menu so I ask if they still served…. The smile and say of course how many you want to order ? Amazing service , amazing food after so many years and many memories come back

Visited for the breakfast buffet and assumed it was like in the photos here, however the staff explained that due to Covid they no longer have a self serve buffet, so you actually have to order with your server and its prepared in the kitchen. However, the food took very long to come out over 35 minutes for breakfast items and not just our table but others around us as well. So we literally drank a few cups of coffee as we waited for eggs, chilaquiles and Barbacoa. Since you can no longer see the items on the buffet, It’s kind of hard to order and know what looks appetizing. We did try a few different things and everything was tasty despite the initial wait time. The Barbacoa was delicious and flavorful, prepared perfectly. Menudo was a little greasy but had a great flavor. The table staff was friendly and very attentive ensuring we had coffee and juice refills. -1 star for the wait time. Our overall breakfast time took nearly 2 hours. A bit longer than we anticipated. It was a good value for the breakfast buffet price. I would visit again for its excellent staff and barbacoa.

Santiago and Oziel were excellent hosts! The food was great, the cabrito caramel was our favorite. Keep up the good job!

Possibly the best goat I’ve ever had. This is a must stop when visiting the city. Service is absolutely incredible!!

Visited this restaurant after being referred by a local. Was glad I did. Delicious, fresh and authentic food. Their menu has a decent selection of quality entrees and appetizers. I ordered a variety of food, in case I didn't like one or the other. Ended up enjoying every bit. Clean, lively atmosphere. Friendly and committed staff. Highly recommend this restaurant!
