Zintziri Errota

"This restaurant is housed in a bucolic country house dating from 1650. It was originally used as a smithy and later as a flour mill. The beautiful rustic interior comes as a pleasant surprise, as does the modern menu." - Michelin Inspector

Happened upon this fabulous restaurant almost by accident and what an amazing lunch we had. Slow start to service but very friendly. Menu available in Spanish, Euskara, and English.

Lovely service and amazing food! The foie and the octopus are must order dishes! The maitre d Iñaki ensured we were very well taken care of despite the language barrier 😊

Fascinating interior and exterior. Would recommend the octopus and stuffed pimentos for starters. Very well plated and executed dishes.

This was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Visiting from Singapore, we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the warmness of the staff. We came on a weekday at around 2pm and had the whole place to ourselves. Would recommend the mushroom soup, you'll never find anything like it!

There is a reason why this place has a Michelin star. Not only is the food perfect. It gives you a real good taste of Basque flavors and culture. After lunch, our server took us over and explained how they used to process corn in this water wheel machine.

Michellin star Restaurant in Bakio Spain. Tried to go the eveningvwe areived however it was closed by tge time we got there. In our way out of town we stopped for lunch . It was just opening when we got there at 1 p m Its a cozy little restaurant which is in a old brewery . The food was all freshly prepared and presented beautifully, and had delicate flavors. The service although there was only one waiter was really attentive and informative. Loved tge ambiance and hospitality of this genuinely nicely run family restaurant.Great selection if wines

Excellent staff (there was language barrier, but he tried the best he could - ended up translating the whole menu for us). The food, we ordered set menu (€32+/person) reconstructed traditional Basque dishes with a twist. Great size portion with desert as well, we also ordered local wine, €20 white and a bottle of water. The bill ended up €90 which was decent for a Michelin star restaurant. (Entree - Stuffed peppers and cod for main** highly recommended)

What an amazing restaurant and food!!! We visited Nov 2019 and were blown away by the setting and plants all over. The restaurant is in an old mill and has all sorts of interesting tools inside. It is as much of a museum as it is a restaurant. Amazing food, we had some lamb and fish, out of this world!!! We loved it, if you're an American and in the area go here, you won't be dissapointed!!!
