Michelin one star, but much better than one star. Seasonal taste menu is strongly recommended. Fabulous experience with all food and wine. We took photo with the chef as well. All staffs are very nice. We will come back again.👍👍

Nestled in the middle of nowhere this restaurant deserves a visit and acknowledgment. Starting we got warm greetings from the Chef himself. Charming and superbly polite master food. We got regaled by baby lamb, baby octopus and some charming and utterly delicious lobster ravioli. The end came with an outstanding basque cheese cake (best ever) and almond cake. Both heavenly given.

We experienced it because it was Vedat Milör's recommendation. We had the chance to experience many Michelin-starred restaurants during our trip. This place didn't make it into our top three. Cheesecake smells too much of eggs. Lobster ravioli was delicious, truffle risotta was also delicious, but quite oily. I can't say otherwise for the taste of turbot fish. But for us, it was not a gastronomic experience, it was like dining in an elegant and luxurious restaurant.

The restaurant is a one-star Michelin dining venue with superior food and excellent service. The food is delicious and the menu provides good options for one to pick from. Service is attentive and polished and the amuse-bouche and petit-fours are delightful surprises. If possible, I would rate it 4.8 because a) there are no signs on the main road identifying the place, b) the welcome when we entered was very cool (by the wife), not warm and welcoming (when we left, the goodbye and thank you were by the husband) and b) the paint on the trim in the bathroom needs help. Small things, but noticeable. If you have a chance to dine at Zuberoa, do so, you'll be in for a great experience.

I had the nine course menu and it was great. I particularly liked the fact that the meals were nothing fancy just for the sake of being fancy. Some of them had "simple" ingredients like peas or squid. But they were of such high quality and made with such craftsmanship that it was even more of a joy to eat them. What stuck to my mind was the squid, the medium pidgeon and one kind of bright white fish that was juicy and melts on the tongue. The staff is friendly and speaks english very well. The vine I had was so good, that I wanted to take a photo of it, to buy it for myself. Definitely worth a visit :)

Quite simply one of my all time favorite meals. I agree with other reviewers that Zuberoa is at least a 2-michelin star restaurant (although who really cares about those stars). The tasting menu is definitely where it's at. We got to try a ton of different food and the portions were very generous. Funny enough, the best bite I had all night was probably the amuse bouche, which comes with every meal (not just tasting menu). It was whipped foie gras with some sort of beef broth gelatin on top (I think) and it was one of the best things I've ever had. Other standouts were the spring egg, and the peas, two things I would not have expected to be so darn good. The dessert was a cheesecake, which I believe was a special that day, and the staff let me swap that instead of what was on the actual tasting menu. That brings me to the service, which was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, it was amazing. They recommended excellent wines and were very helpful explaining each dish. I would love to go back here the next time I return to San Sebastian. Not much else to say, it was basically perfect in every way :)
