"Enter through a metal gate to land upon this charming patio, virtually beaming with lights and greenery. The dining room is quaint, with a sleek bar, exposed brick, and large tile floors. The décor is simple and clean, but a set of sparkling chandeliers add that elegance factor. The staff are a smooth, efficient bunch; and the bistro menu from Chef/owner Paul Magu-Lecugy spans the classics. Think light house-made gougères and wild boar pâté, to a more hearty plate of noisettes de chevreuil poélées (venison stuffed in puff pastry over celery root purée). The lemon meringue tart is always a sublime way to cap off the feast.A predominantly French wine list goes well beyond just Boudreaux and Burgundy—and even throws in a bit of California for good measure." - Michelin Inspector

Nice place. The staff and service were amazing. I expected a lot from the food from the other reviews I had read. I give the appetizers an 8 out of 10. I must have got the French onion soup on a bad night. I was disappointed. Not very much flavor. The ribeye was very good, and the dessert was the best. So I give the food a 7 out of 10.

Based on many very positive reviews, decided to make a reservation for 5:30pm on a Tuesday. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated right away. Overall, our interactions with all staff were very positive and friendly. Appreciated being asked by the hostess sitting us at our table if we would like still or sparkling water to start and we had a large bottle of San Pelligrino placed on our table within 30 seconds of sitting down. Amuse-bouche: Cougeres were light and tasty as expected. Olives a la Provencale were tasty but I would have preferred a lot less garlic covering the olives. We were also provided with two small glasses of Gazpacho (chilled watermelon, tomatoes and strawberry) compliments of the chef which was much appreciated and tasty. The Soupe a l'oignon gratinee was served hot and was quite tasty and authentically french. The Noix St Jacques (scallops) were perfectly cooked and tender served with a delicious and tasty corn, mushroom risotto; however, the chef must not have tasted the scallops or he/she would have realized that there was too much salt added. The scallops were tender and usually don't require much salt to be added beyond what they have naturally. The tender and somewhat sweet taste of perfectly cooked fresh scallops was missing because of the extra salt. The Filet de Fletan Poele (halibut) was perfectly cooked and served over a very tasty whipped polenta with chorizo chips. Finished up with the Vanilla Creme Brulee which was quite tasty with a lightly toasted sugar topping. Overall, we were quite pleased with our experience at this pricey French Bistro restaurant with only the salty scallops keeping this a four star instead of five star rating.

Just took my wife to Reve in Lafayette for her birthday, and wow, what a night! This charming French restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We were blown away by the food and can’t wait to go back. It was our first time diving into French cuisine. The meal started with an amuse-bouche, a chilled tomato, watermelon, and strawberry gazpacho. Talk about a refreshing start! Next up, Gougeres. These bite-sized French cheese puffs were light, airy, and packed with cheesy goodness. Then came the escargot. The herb garlic butter made them quite tasty, but Julie was done after one bite. Turns out she had pet snails as a kid! For the main course, Julie had Noix St Jacques, seared day boat scallops over Brentwood corn and summer mushroom risotto. While the scallops could have used a bit more searing, the flavors were spot on. I went for the Moules Frites. Steamed PEI mussels in a white wine, shallots, garlic, and cream broth served with fries. The flavors were incredible, and the fries had the perfect crunch. Best fries I have had in a long time. And of course, we ended the night with Julie’s favorite dessert: Crème Brûlée. One word: AMAZING!

We originally discovered this restaurant on Check Please Bay area. We had the pleasure of sampling the delicious food at the KQED Taste and Sip. We made a reservation for 4 at the restaurant. And we were very happy we did. From are starter to dessert every thing was delicious. Well worth a visit to Lafayette.

Google
I'll call it a 3.5, but give them the 4 star because they were nice. Service was nice and very friendly. 5/5 Atmosphere was interesting. Tiny place, super casual. Would have liked to sit on the patio, but space was limited. 3.5/5 Food -. I really liked the complementary bread...but I was also very hungry. The escargot was good. The 16 oz steak was fine, nothing special at all. Pate was good. And the scallops were fine. Price - The food is very simple and casual. But the price is a little closer to something that would be higher end. 2/5 for value.

This was a very bad dining experience. Where do I start? The appetizers (charcuterie board, onion soup) were good, but not spectacular. It was downhill from there. First, our waiter left us sitting for over half an hour after we finished the appetizers. We had to ask several busboys to send him back to our table. My stepson and I ordered the hangar steak. I have never had such a bad steak - probably 1/3 of an inch thick and so gristly and fatty I could only eat a bit of it. My husband asked his son if he liked it - the son said he liked the parts that were edible! The desserts were not a wow - we had opera cake which was very mediocre. The service and food were nowhere near the level an expensive and high-end restaurant like this should be. We will never return.

It's not a fancy French restaurant, but definitely a gourmet French restaurant. Food is amazing. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is cozy and warm. Love it. No doubt it is Michelin mentioned. Only drawback is parking. Most of the parking spaces are compact and they are so tight. According to our waitress, they share parking spaces with the school next door. Maybe next time we will park there.

We came in on Black Friday night and started with that day’s special vegetable soup and the classic escargots. The soup is top notch, well-textured creamy base with a subtle lift of a special mixed vegetable taste. The flavor the escargots is at the lighter end of the spectrum. Be sure to leave some of the juices in the shell so that you can add them on while you are chewing their bigger than average escargots. Steak frites (medium rare) and ris de veau rôti (roasted veal sweetbread) are followed to wrap up the night. The thinner cut of the ribeye brings a more delicate tasting experience, the peppercorn sauce compensates well with the meat and most importantly - not too heavy. The offal flavor of the sweetbread is perfectly muted by the sauce, leaveing us only the joy of the tender and creamy mouthfeel. However, the best part of both entrees is no doubt the sautéed vegetable. Cooked to a perfect temperature, from just a day-to-day potato to morel mushroom, all the juice and freshness of each vegetable are held and packed with well-balanced flavor at the same time. In hindsight, we definitely recommend try out their sautéed vegetable dish if they have one on their menu of the day you visit. The dessert menu is relatively short but full of highlights, the floating island we ordered is definitely worth a try. The light mouthfeel from the briefly cooked floating egg whites compensates very well with the sweetness from sugar and vanilla. Service is amazing, fits perfectly with their comfort bistro vibe. Last but not least, please, drink some wine when you are in a french restaurant. RÊVE Bistro gets rewarded as Michelin Bib Gourmand 2021. Just like what this award suppose to be, this is truly one of the top (if not the best) reasonably-priced french restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area.

Yelp
Once you walk through the doors at REVE, you feel like you are in an upscale Paris bistro. The food here is true to Paris cuisine. Forgive me but my favorite dish here is an amuse-bouche: the Gougers. At $10, these are little bite sized cheese puffs. They are a delicious way to start off a meal. Then the American in me forces me to go straight to the Steak Frites Classique. For a 10oz cut, its $52. I always request the meat to be cooked medium rare and it comes out perfect every time. They use an Angus Ribeye, and top it with a savory peppercorn sauce. It comes with fries and vegetables. So good! Lastly, you must try the truffle fries. They toss them with both truffle and truffle oil, so they are serious truffle fries. And they are only $7 for the smaller portion. PRO-TIP: If you bring a kid that is 9 or under, they can make an entree for the kiddo at just $24.

Yelp
Try the authentic Robuchon style Belgian Mashed Potatoes! French Onion Soup the real thing! Favorite entree Rack of Lamb!

Yelp
Wonderful and enjoyable evening. Service is excellent. Recommend of dishes where right on. Food: order a charcuterie board to share, meats, cheese, olives, crackers- great mixed I order the fix menu which include: French onion soup or salad, chicken or mussels and dessert. I order the French onions soup cub, perfect size. Very good , had the Moules frites- Mussels , full Bowl great with delicious wine sauce. Dessert light delicious not too rich. Also order their special which was duck, cooked in perfection. The places is not too big so is a must for reservation. Little tight sitting but snuggle. Nice place and really good location walking distance from Lafayette Bart station which is a plus.

Yelp
Great French bistro charm and good French food. It's lovely to have a French restaurant of this quality in the east bay.

Yelp
Ordered, take out here recently. Who orders take out with French food right?! We wanted to stay-in but still have a nice meal and Reve hit the spot perfectly. We ordered the Veal, Coq au vin, and Branzino and everything was delicious. Each dish was paired with the right sauce and all the textures came out as expected. The flavors were so good we licked all the sauce up - there, I exposed our secret! But no shame here plus we are at home so no judging haha. The seasonal veggies all tasted fresh and the mushrooms that accompanied it is scrumptious. We will def come back again and try their other dishes in person.

Yelp
I made a reservation for myself in the evening to celebrate my birthday. I'm visiting Moraga and decided to have dinner at this local French restaurant in Lafayette. Great choice! The service is impeccable and the dining area indoors was warm, with white tablecloths on each table, and it has a casual Parisian flair about it. I love Paris and this was just the place to bring back memories of "The City of Lights". The chef/owner has a well-earned culinary reputation for his establishment. I started out with their French onion soup, the veal broth has a lighter flavor than the usual beef broth. A young lady brought me a small glass of their watermelon soup (seasonal) which I wanted to try and was happy to have a taste of it. She said it was ordered for me by the chef as this was my first-time here. I ordered the special of the day dinner which was medallions of roast pork atop a variety of root vegetables that included cubed butternut squash and carrots. This delicious dish was drizzled with a dark rich gravy sweetened with raisins. The waitress recommended a glass of pinot noir that I ordered. A box of small multi-colored macarons filled with lightly flavored mousse was given to take home since they were closing and a lit candle on a plate for me to blow-out was served with a complementary glass of champagne (as a birthday token). This lovely Parisian bistro made my birthday a very memorable event. I shared my experience with a friend and we plan to come together.

Yelp
Everything was great; I just ordered the Togo tonight because i could not stay but i ordered the appetizers frog legs x 2, wow , I was in heaven, and I am French so I know good frog legs, and I trust Chef Paul to make it perfect and it was!! Thank you, and a great welcoming crew, everyone so smiling in here. The atmosphere was great , and it was ready exactly when predicted. Kudo to all !! Merci !!!

Yelp
Consistently great food. I love this place! Small little bar is a nice spot to sit when you want a more casual vibe. I always prefer to sit inside vs. outside if I can. Service is warm and they give great recommendations!

Yelp
Another place that's been on my list for so long and finally took my bf here. Rêve bistro is a little Paris in the hood. This place is such a hidden gem in Lafayette, being Michelin recognition in 2021, 2022 and 2023. We started with their charcuterie board, where you can choose the type of meat and cheese you want, paired with the wine we picked from a winery established since 17th century. One of the best wine we've had. The chef also had you tried a shot of soup if it's your first time there. For appetizers, we had the escargots, which is sure bigger compared to other French restaurants I've been to in the Bay Area. Really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also got some of their mixed mushrooms and it was so good. For main entree, we only had Joue de Boeuf since we already had a lot. The wagyu beef was so tender and well seasoned, served with different types of veggies. Our server Sophie was so great and recommended so many good options for us. We'll definitely come back since they change their menu seasonal and we couldn't try their desserts yet.

Yelp
Amazing dinner at Reve in Lafayette!!!! Why have we not gone sooner (darn kids!)?? We used to come here 15 years ago all the time for the best French food and then it closed... life happened and it is equally if not better then I remember under past ownership. Our server even worked at the old French place. She was so welcoming and kind! It felt like France- she loved what she did and was so passionate about the restaurant. Since we were "new" (because they know everyone who comes in) we got the welcome shot of gazpacho with our perfect martinis ! So refreshing! The standard bread and butter is amazing (my dad always say you can tell the caliber of a restaurant by their bread and butter). We enjoyed the boars pate as our first course - so flavorful and like France! Next a cup of the famous French onion soup- just the right amount of cheese to soup ratio! I enjoyed the most perfectly tender sea scallops over a bed of risotto with wild mushrooms. The steak and frites was perfectly cooked but the star was the frites- WOW!!!! It was like a buttery mashed potato encased in a crisp batter!! OMG!! Enjoyed a glass of wine from their stellar menu. For desert the Tart Tartin with a glass of scotch. Wished the tart was warm but other than that amazing!!! Five stars!!! We will be back!!

Yelp
Reve is a beautiful French restaurant that truly impresses with its culinary delights. The lamb, duck, beef, and steak are all exquisitely prepared, showcasing the rich and savory flavors of French cuisine. One standout feature is their French fries - crispy, perfectly seasoned, and arguably the best you'll ever have. The attentive and friendly host and waiters elevate the dining experience, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for. Additionally, the bread is a delightful complement to the meal, fresh and flavorful. I would most definitely come back, if only to indulge in those amazing French fries again.

Yelp
Just kind of meh for a French restaurant. The flavors weren't exceptionally developed. Fine, but more for clientele not accustomed to the depth of French food in France. It was fine. I prefer La Sen for complexity of flavor.

Natasha C.

Yelp
Truly feels like you are dining under the romantic city lights of Paris. The service was impeccable and the staff even left me a sweet birthday note. You will enjoy anything you order off the menu - I had the scallops and they were exquisite!

Dylan T.

Yelp
I'm so happy a friend recommended this place. I have French relatives and studied abroad in the Burgundy region so the ambiance is on point for French restaurants and I NEVER see kir royal on menus in the US. After speaking with a couple of the servers about the chef's story and his background, we were sold and will be coming back. The pork chop and lamb were cooked perfectly. The salad was fresh and the escargot was delicious. They even fly the bread in from Tribeca! This definitely gets my vote for an authentic French experience and you should check it out.

Ronald T.

Yelp
What an absolute gem. We feasted on the escargot, pâté, scallops with corn and mushroom risotto, and lamb porterhouse cut with garlic breadcrumb crust. Even the side vegetables blew me away. The wine, of course, was a great pairing. Will come back soon.

Chloe C.

Yelp
Really great place. Loved the outdoor seating area. The waiter and staff were wonderful. Loved the steak frites and the chocolate mousse. The French onion soup was good, but not incredibly flavorful. The artichoke dip was yummy but I wouldn't order it again. The cheese puff bread bites (I forget their French name) were pretty good, but again I wouldn't order it again. Some things were really delicious, others were nothing too special. But this place is quite pricey, so it's good for a special occasion once in a while but I probably won't be back soon.

Andrew S.

Yelp
This place was a real find - fantastic French food in the burbs. We celebrated my boss's retirement dinner here and I was blown away by the level of food, service and ambiance. The menu is very French and I ordered the beet and crab salad, the sweetbreads and floating island. Everything was fantastic with a special shout-out to those sweetbreads (these can taste really strong and nutty but this preparation tasted very clean). Service was fantastic, attentive but not too fussy. With tax and tip and some drinks, this was around $100 per person. This is very much worth it given the dining experience. The outdoor tent was also a big plus for me. This is a delightful find in a suburban strip mall. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Katherine L.

Yelp
Walking in, the host wasn't super friendly nor smiling but got the job done. The ambiance was nice on a weekday evening as we ate indoors. Ryan, our server, was amazing. He was knowledgeable of menu items and sounds like he's been working at the restaurant for a while so he knew the ins and outs of the menu over the year. We also heard him give recommendations of wines to other groups and again he was very knowledgeable. We were given some bread and butter, was hoping butter reminded me of France but it wasn't as flavorful. We ordered these: - Escargots: good, lots of butter, but a few of them were sandy - Chilled Corn soup: sweet corn flavor and a good portion size - Scallops with mushroom risotto: risotto was delicious and perfectly cooked. Scallops were cooked well but wish there was a better sear on some of them. The scallops were also quite salty. - Mussels with fries: mussels were delicious and sweet. Sauce was also delicious and not overpowering. Surprisingly the serving size is really good. I loved the fries, perfectly fried and crunchy on the outside. So glad we enjoyed a dinner here and we are looking forward to returning!

Bella C.

Yelp
Such great food and service! We were greeted by Arlene and she asked us if it was our first time. It was and she gave us some recommendations. She was attentive through our and the three of us were sharing the entrees so she brought out warm share plates and even put the frites in a shareable plate rather than with the entree plates. Everything we ordered was delicious! The mussels were a standout! My friends and I were saying it'll be amazing if we had pasta that we can soak in that sauce! That sauce was just that good. We soaked our baguette and fries in it. Overall a great experience and we are definitely coming back!

Jen K.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance! I bet even better in the summer!!! The risotto was to die for!!!

Amber P.

Yelp
We went here for my husband's birthday. We reserved a table inside and were sat quickly, it was quite cold inside. We were greeted with a birthday card signed by the staff, which was a nice touch. We ordered the cheese balls, French onion soup, and the salad for appetizers. The cheese balls were ok, not much cheese inside. The salad was refreshing with edible flowers. For the main course, my husband ordered the swordfish and I ordered the risotto. The risotto was creamy with lots of mushrooms, which I enjoyed. My husband preferred the sides of the swordfish dish than actual fish itself. At the end, we opted out for desert, but were given merengue with a candle. The service was great and we weren't checked on frequently. I am not sure if I'd go again, I have many food restrictions and was only able to eat a few things.

Val M.

Yelp
The food was okay. Escargot has good flavor. It was my first time having it so I'm not sure how to compare the texture, but the taste was good. The onion soup was okay, it was pretty sweet I thought. The gateau au chocolat was delicious. I had the poulet basquaise (chicken) that I thought was okay. The chicken was moist and tender but I thought the flavor was slightly lacking. My date had the pork chop (cotelette de porc) which was very tasty and moist. Ambiance is nice, cute and warm, but it's a bit cramped inside. The service we experienced was nice. We were lucky to get a table inside for 2 without a reservation at 7pm on a Thursday. We didn't feel rushed at all, in fact we weren't checked on too often. The prices are quite high so be prepared for that.

Tiena L.

Yelp
The food, ambience, and service are fantastic. Definitely deserving of the Michelin star rating. I loved the mussels and fries and highly recommend it. Wine list was great also. They have a very cute outdoor dinning space that is heated. The place is more casual then I was expecting but nice at the same time.

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
This is the best French food I've had in the Bay Area! I was super impressed with the quality, service, and ambiance here. After looking it up, I realized that the 2022 Michelin Guide actually mentioned this place as a "new discovery." Definitely check this place out if you're in the Lafayette area! French 75 ($14): I honestly never like gin in cocktails, but my friend insisted that I try this. It was one of the best I've had with a bit of lemon flavor and sparkling wine on top. Gougéres ($8): These cheese puffs are so light and airy. I definitely recommend trying them! Escargots ($18): Eating one of these reminded me of how much I love escargot. These were so tender and seasoned well with the herb garlic butter. Assiette de Charcuterie ($28): This board serves 2-4 people and it was filled with a variety of items. The best was the chicken liver mousse, which is housemade! Filet de Canard ($42): Definitely the best dish of the night with seasoned duck breast. It was cooked perfectly medium rare and super flavorful. The brussel sprouts that it came with were also delicious. Noix de St Jacques ($40): The scallops were tender, but they could have used more flavor. I really liked the acorn squash risotto that it came with though! I enjoyed the dish, but I probably wouldn't get it again considering the price. Moules Frites "Marinère" ($25): Really great mussels with a creamy, white wine sauce. The fries were crispy and helped soak up the broth. We drank all of the leftover sauce because it was just that good. Desserts: Even though we were full, we rallied and ordered a bunch to share including the creme brulee, mousse au chocolat, tarte a la poire, and a coffee dessert cake. They were all yummy, but I remember the chocolate mousse being the most standout because of the strong flavor and smooth texture.

Joyce Z.

Yelp
Going French on an early Friday evening at neighborhood bistro in Lafayette is perfect for date night or just dinner out. With their summer menu, we got a taste of the seasonal produce like the refreshing Nectarine Salad with a lemon thyme vinaigrette, Serrano ham chips, and goat cheese. French classics are also on the menu and on point like French Onion soup made from scratch including the house-made veal broth, chicken liver mousse with crostini and moules frites. The authenticity shines through and it's no wonder since Chef Paul himself grew up in Paris. Merci Beaucoup Chef Paul et à bien*tôt as we will be back.

Bill N.

Yelp
The grilled sole special was delicious. Waiter was attentive but never pushy. Parking was a little tight but we found the last spot.

Jeanne D.

Yelp
Great food but more vegetarian dishes please!! Otherwise excellent! Yes I agree all was great!

David J.

Yelp
Excellent French cooking by a Parisian trained chef. Nice service. Reasonable prices. Nice feel to the dining Room. Can eat inside or on the patio.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
We dined here for our anniversary. The staff signed a happy anniversary card they gave to us. The hostess and our waitress were kind spoken, helpful and just a delight. The chairs were awfully tall and as a short person I was uncomfortable in my seat all night. We both ordered the soup special: a chilled pea soup with mint. I ordered the optional crab add-on, my husband did not. I adored this soup and my husband found his dull so the crab addition must've been needed. I ordered the salmon as a "safe" option. As this was my first time at the restaurant, I thought I should avoid anything too interesting. This was a mistake. The salmon was not of good quality despite being cooked properly medium. It was served with a buerre Blanc sauce and over cooked greens. The dish wound up rich and mushy with no brightness at all. It needed an acid to cut through all the cream and it lacked it. I forced myself to eat it, hating every bite. I was shocked it was so bad. My husband said his main was not cooked well either. He ordered Le Vegetarian. We opted to skip dessert after such a bad meal. We will not be back. Though the staff did their best, having unpalatable food at such high prices makes this a no go for us.

Richard R.

Yelp
Point Blank, the food I had here was better than the food I had in Paris. The Beef Cheek and Steak/Frits were perfect. The service was attentive, friendly and not pretentious. They were not shy on what they recommend and, trust me, listen to them. The Ambience gave me the vibe of a cozy French cafe on the inside and a garden terrace on the outside. Made me feel we were getting all the experiences of a Michelin rated restaurant with a more casual setting. I will definitely come back with friends.

Alex Z.

Yelp
What is the point of life if not for hedonistic consumption? That's how I felt when I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable (they accommodated us despite me getting the reservation date incorrect, oops!) and the food was well balanced, full of flavor, and delicate enough to impart nuance. Overall, the vibes were immaculate. I'm still trying to find some time to come back.

Shannon H.

Yelp
Outstanding! My husband and I chose this restaurant for a date night before my husband heads off to Asia for 2 1/2 weeks on a business trip, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to enjoy our time before he leaves. From the service to the food, everything was absolutely top notch! Our server was incredibly attentive, personable and precisely knowledgeable- leading us into the right direction of what to order. We started with the escargot and a charcuterie board. For our main dishes, I ordered the scallops over the pea risotto, and my husband ordered the special of the night - the pork chop. Everything was not only presented beautifully, It was absolutely superb! My husband and I agreed, our first experience here was absolute perfection! We have added this to our list of favorites, and will most definitely be visiting again.

Daria M.

Yelp
I was hesitating to give it 3 or 4 stars. Our writer was pleasant and polite but nothing extra. Food is not bad, but it is an overpriced restaurant for the food they are preparing. Be ready to spent more then $100 per person. We tried (and I will rate them on the scale of 5): meat board (4.5) scallops (3.8), mussels (4), escargot (3.5), dessert (4.2)

joe w.

Yelp
I recommend the salade reve, sole special, and nectarine salad, and halibut dishes. The ingredients were farm to table fresh. The nectarine salad had a delightful plum taste. The sole special was fresh. This restaurant is senior citizen friendly in that the staff are patient with patrons who need more time to order. I ambiance evokes pleasant memories of Paris.

Mandy H.

Yelp
You wanted the butter and you directed me to try the beef cheeks. I am ready to give you whatever you want and do whatever you tell me to do. Beef cheeks are a metaphor that we will use forever.

Cheryl H.

Yelp
First time we have been in the restaurant for my bf birthday. We love this restaurant since it is a cute place with a warm welcome from staffs such as a family friendly. They explained very detailed about champagne and food for us, such as with wine are goes well for red meat/ seafood, I am appreciate it so much. Foods were amazing with special ingredients and love from chief. We really like the french Champagne with taste very special. Would recommend everyone.

The food is good, but very over-priced! The service is ok, but very slow! We sat outside and it was cold. We had to ask for a heater 3 times.

Yelp
Try and compare with last year and post your review. I was disappointed both in service and quality of the food and dessert. We asked to share the salad and it came on one plate, I asked the server to split the salad and he said he is not good at splitting a salad, that was unexpected. Then the meat of steak had a lower quality and the fries were way too salty. I wonder if the chef had a bad day!!! Have to go back and try again. Unfortunately when I get disappointed, it takes time before I ease up and give it another go. We mentioned it and the management did not charge the desert even though we did not expect it. That was very nice but I prefer to pay full tab and receive what I expect.

Yelp
First off the food quality is very high, you can tell they use excellent ingredients. I had the scallops and my only criticism is I would have liked a little more sear on them. Oysters were great, Onion soup was good. The server was friendly enough but not outstanding. The service was good though with all the correct silverware being swapped in depending on the course and what you were eating. My biggest complaint is the "heated patio", I was cold the whole evening. They have small heaters going but barely enough to warm the place. Another customer was sat in his coat. I buttoned up my jacket and was still cold. I also wasn't thrilled with the outside area, no real ambiance as you sit under a plastic tent. I would go back but only if I could sit inside. Price is high but a quality product is there plus I'm sure the Lafayette rent is high.

Yelp
Authentic French cuisine can be found here. Though it isn't the best I've had, it's a pleasant experience. It is a small place and the tables can be tight. When a big party kicks in, you will have to start yelling. Nothing but good things to say about the wine and appetizers, especially foie gras!

Yelp
I'm kind of disappointed that this place didn't live up to the hype for me. I've been craving really good French food and this unfortunately didn't hit the spot. The coolest thing was the nonalcoholic wine, which was a fantastic alternative to drinking. Our server was also amazing. They were on it making sure to check in often and made sure everything was okay. They were very helpful with explaining dishes (the specials). But everything else was just okay. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.

Yelp
It was a great neighborhood gem. The service was perfect with great suggestions to maximize the dining experience. The restaurant is small and cozy with great food.

Yelp
Went here with my girlfriend for a date night and had a great experience! The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We got the escargot as a starter, the squash risotto and boeuf du jour for the main course, and fruit custard for dessert. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This restaurants ambiance gave the feeling of a back alley Parisian restaurant and even more so with the rain. It felt like a movie. The service was phenomenal, all of the waiters, waitresses, and the hostess were all very passionate about the food and the flavors that the chef created and gave excellent recommendations! My party got a multitude of items. Escargots: The escargots were delicious, definitely a must try if you're on the fence about it. The green sauce that it's cooked in was akin to a pesto and it and the escargot itself were delicious with the additional bread. Gougeres: The gougeres were puffy, cheesy, and delicious! Absolute must order for an appetizer! I was so disappointing when my party had eaten them all. Soup du jour: The butternut squash soup with apple crisps was delectable and savory. The apple crisps were like a hidden burst of flavor inside the soup, I really wish there were more than the 5 I had. I also came in with a bit of a cough, so the soup helped to soothe my sore throat. Poulet Facon "Coq au vin": This was fall off the bone delicious! I didn't even need to use a knife, the chicken meat just separated from the bone and the au jus, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots were an absolutely sumptuous treat! Noix De St Jacques: The scallops were delicious and cooked to perfection and the acorn squash risotto was so savory. It was a delight to eat! Ris De Veau Roti: The veal sweetbreads with fingerling potatoes. This dish had a texture akin to bone marrow or liver to me. Since I love both of those items, I loved this dish. Creme brulee: Creme brûlée as a dessert option never fails, and this one was no exception. It was yummy! Pear tart: This was the best dessert we ordered! It was flaky, not overly sweet, and overall an absolute treat to eat. Can't wait till we come back to try the rest of this season's menu or try the menu for the other seasons (the menu rotates based on the season).

Yelp
Amazing service and nice vibe. They allowed my dog since we sat outdoors. The food was great. I liked the veal and the steak especially. Escargot is a good appetizer and fruit tart is a good dessert. Parking is really easy. Definitely on the pricey/fancy side. I was invited and would honestly not come here if it was out of my own pocket. I'm a 21 year old college student. Speaking of, it's less than 10 minutes from Saint Mary's, which is where I attend. It is next to Swad Indian Cuisine, down the block from Safeway and Whole Foods complex. Would not recommend for large groups. 5-6 at most, I would say, ideally less. I didn't have alcohol since I had to drive back to my dorm at Saint Mary's after. I had soda Outdoor garden has nice decorations. Very peaceful!

Yelp
Went here for Mom's bday on a random Tuesday night, it was freezing, but the staff had put out heat lamps for everyone. It's a very small place, indoors, and some outdoor seating. I usually don't crave or go to French Cuisine but it was surprisingly good! I had the braised chicken, not sure or remember what it's called but it was delicious. We had some snails and the server recommended a really good wine! The customer service there was great, I would def recommend coming back here for any sort of celebration or if you like being semi fancy :-P

Yelp
Not sure I get the hype from the other reviews or the Michelin recognition. Everything was fine. Had the mixed fruit and vegetable plate, the scallops, and the roasted rabbit special. I can't hate on anything, it was all fine, but nothing blew me away. 4 stars compared to most places, but probably wouldn't come back for the price.

Yelp
I've been dining here for a few years, and in all that time I've always enjoyed our visits. If you're seeking an intimate, French Bistro experience I highly recommend checking Reve out! Classics like onion soup or the steak are excellent, but they also have a range of specials and seasonal options to make the most of local produce. Wine and cocktail service is polished and fun. Park across the street in the lot of the closer options are full.
