"When your brain has turned into a foggy wasteland in need of caffeine, join the pilates people and couples with dogs in strollers at Réveille Coffee. The minimalist Marina cafe makes espresso drinks that will jolt you back to life. They serve food here, too, with a pared-down and more to-go-focused menu than the slew of other Cafe Réveilles throughout the city. Get into a breakfast sandwich or burrito with crispy fried prosciutto—or if you want something sweet, they also have a respectable pastry case with cardamom twists and scones." - Julia Chen

Google
this place is awesome! really delicious coffee (i got a cappuccino) - which is a big compliment. the espresso was not bitter at all and the drink was really well made. i also got the breakfast burrito which was amazing - crispy tater tots really made it great. would highly recommend!

Google
Very good coffee - in top 10% of those I’ve reviewed. Probably, the most popular spot on Chestnut street Dog friendly - and the dogs are friendly here, too.

Google
Love this place! Great coffee, tasty food, and a super chill atmosphere. Perfect for grabbing a drink, getting some work done, or just hanging out. Great addition to Chestnut.

Google
I love this place—such a peaceful and positive atmosphere. The coffee is excellent, and their Halloumi Salad is the best in town!

Rob G

Google
The oat milk latte was made perfectly creamy and just the right amount of strength even though it was just two shots of espresso. They made it in a smaller cup to make the ratio just right. Concrete wall makes for great photos and a cool vibe. Service was nice and friendly. Definitely will go back!

Google
Great coffee and breakfast. I had breakfast in this cosy café during my stay in SF and had a great experience. I tried the Acai bowl and the yogurt and were great. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Google
Awesome filtered coffee, go get one right now! Also friendly staff and very clean space with a few stools inside and lots of chairs and tables outside with a roof so you can hide from rain and/or wind and still enjoy sitting outside. The coffee is really good they know what they’re doing here ;)

Google
Extremely tasty espresso, and a perfectly balanced almond croissant were a great way to start the morning. Love the vibe at this shop. A++ would spro again

Yelp
Popular coffee spot in the Marina, finally gave it a try. Dirty Chai: B I like chai a lot so decided to try this version that is mixed with coffee. The flavor was good, but they don't add sweetness so I would have liked it more with a little sugar. Matcha chia seed pudding: B If you like chia seed pudding you'll probably enjoy this. The bananas with nuts and chocolate bits add some nice contrast in texture. The matcha flavor is more mild. Line can get long here but it seems to move quickly.

Yelp
Reveille. I've given this place several tries to succeed but they fail 9 out of 10 times. It takes 4min, with 4 employees behind the counter to produce 1 order per customer. It takes 2min for an employee to acknowledge any customer waiting to order -I've timed these things several times. There IS a lot of chatter amongst the employees behind the counter, but the mad muggin'/miserable look painted across the faces of the 20somethings probably means they are commiserating -perhaps it's in regards to hating life. This location is unfortunately filled with bad energy and sunless despair. The brew is watered down and flavorless at this location on Chestnut St. What good is a French luxury car with no engine and no fuel in the tank? It's an empty vessel that only looks pretty on the outside -You can sit inside this vehicle-to-nowhere and you will notice the driver has farted and locked all of the windows shut. Good luck with that. Note: The only person that seems to be on the ball here is the older Latina working at the far end behind the counter. Give her a raise.

Yelp
Lots of seating outside, limited seating inside. We came here for a quick bite and they had good vegan options. I was going to buy a bag of beans but they didn't have the roast date, and I didn't try the coffee or else I'd comment on that. I'd come back to try the coffee. Service was great! Very accommodating and kind. Three stars because I felt the breakfast bowl had too many pickled veggies and flavors not suitable for breakfast. Would've been a good lunch bowl though.

Yelp
Reveille Coffee in the Marina District is a warm and inviting gem. The space is cozy, with soft lighting and a minimalist design that makes it perfect for a quiet moment or an intimate catch-up. Their coffee is exceptional--smooth, rich, and clearly crafted with care. The staff are friendly without being overbearing, adding to the relaxed vibe. It's the kind of place that feels like a small retreat in the bustling city. It's definitely a spot you'll want to linger and hang out in.

Ashley B.

Yelp
This is for those who come for matcha...get the other items. Their matcha powder already has sugar with it and the drink itself tastes like plain milk. I added a bit more sweetener to my drink but overall there was no matcha flavor. The cashier was also very rude today and was condescending.

Patricia T.

Yelp
Stopped by for a post-workout lunch around 1pm and it was pretty packed. The shop itself is pretty small, though there is some seating in the parklet right outside. There is an order ahead option on their website, though it only allows you to order food within a certain time window. (Drinks/coffee must be ordered in person.) I picked up the breakfast burrito with crispy prosciutto ($14) and a latte ($6). Both were pretty solid, though the burrito was a tad bit salty. Overall a pretty reliable coffee shop in the area, perfect for grabbing a bite with a friend.

Sanna A.

Yelp
All I have to say is, I ordered an iced mocha and I was not happy with my drink. Unfortunately, it didn't have a lot of flavor to it. I was kind of disappointed, but sometimes you don't get the right dose of flavor when you really are craving it.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of this location since they opened over a year ago. The neighborhood needed a good coffee shop (we only had Starbucks and Peet's) and this place changed the game for me . The staff is amazing - always greeting you and with a smile on their face. Be warned that on the weekends the line can get pretty long, but it moves quickly. Coffee here is excellent and I've tried a couple of items on the menu and they were pretty good. They offer freshly baked pastries as well, although I don't think they bake them in house, they are still pretty fresh (they bring them in daily, I believe). I have to say, I mostly come here for the coffee, so I can't judge too much on the food, but overall I LOVE this place and I'm super happy we have good coffee around the neighborhood.

Kate L.

Yelp
Is a 10 oz coffee with $5? Sometimes, maybe, but not here. I normally love African coffees, but the Rwanda went straight past citrus to bitter. The vibe in the cafe was nice though and drinkware is compostable.

Mari C.

Yelp
I really like this chain, but I'm not a fan of the indoor seating at this particular location--it's too small with limited seating. The outdoor seating is much better, offering more space and plenty of seating options. My biggest drawback for this spot is their limited hours; they close too early. While I enjoy several of their dishes, which are great for a quick and easy dinner, they unfortunately close by 5 p.m.

Taylor S.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to try Réveille Coffee after a morning hot girl walk around the Marina. The workers were very friendly and were not shy to offer their recommendations. Not many places can get a Matcha Latte right, but I must admit Reveille has the matcha to milk ratio down. They have honey and simple syrup for you to add yourself if needing a bit more sweetness. We also tried the breakfast burrito which was a 8/10. I am excited to return and try a coffee!

Mehrnaz H.

Yelp
Quick and easy order for a latte on a rainy day in SF. Not too many non-chain coffee shops are in the area. Opted for Reveille and it was a fast and wonderful experience. Loved the latte with the extra foam and gorgeous design... I was the last customer in the shop and was happy to score my hot latte right before the closing.

Denise C.

Yelp
Got my name wrong to start I spell it myself And the breakfast was overpriced and poached eggs are ok fresh avocado or avocajoe he says is weird and The matcha latte had art and it was tea and Japanese I said hello to Brian and he was smiley and there was staff and needs more seats and I had a phobia of strangers and if I was Emily or Katie or roro u would toto me home

Yelp
Last weekend I went on a Mom-and-Daughters staycation to San Francisco. We stayed at a cute, no frills motel in the Marina, an area of the city we hadn't ever been to, and I used Yelp to scope out some places to have breakfast in walking distance. Having had a big, sit down breakfast on Saturday, Sunday needed to be coffee and something simpler, probably a pastry since none of us keen on hipster toasts. The pastries were fantastic. I had the sticky bun. My favorite part of any pastry is the soft center and the bun was perfectly soft, complemented by the gooey sauce and crunchy nuts. My mom had the muffin and my sister had a croissant and scone. All reports back were that they were delicious. My Americano started tasty but did get a bit bitter at the end, I would try a different drink if I visit again. I have to agree with the other reviewer about the leaking lid. I took the lid off to cool my coffee, and when I put it back on, I had coffee on my jeans with the first sip. My mom's tea came with piping hot water. It wasn't too crowded earlyish Sunday morning, but still had plenty of people and dogs to have some good people watching. My mom pointed out how out of place we looked not in the seemingly requisite sweatshirts, baseball hats, leggings and bike shorts. We were in our regular clothes so it was wild to feel like we were from a different world instead of a city 30 miles away. Overall, it hit the needs of the morning with their delicious pastries to fill our tummies.

Yelp
Great food, drinks, people-- always treated like a local and the quality is incredible. Come during an off time otherwise there's going to be a line and wait.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Coffee was very solid, got a vanilla latte with oat milk and the coffee came through wonderfully!

Orawan S.

Yelp
First time trying this small coffee shop. Drink tastes great and not too sweet, I loved it. A few outdoor tables in the front and really great with the nice weather in marina. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely be back!!

Debs J.

Yelp
Love it! Great lattes - coffee & matcha!! Love the breakfast bowl - so fresh and delicious!!

Rob G.

Yelp
Horrible service , I had a $50 order and they messed it up. I didn't get my açaí bowel, or my bread pastry because they forgot . They need a better system in place to ensure customers get what they paid for. I got sick of waiting for 30 mins and left with half my order. Definitely won't be coming back here ever . I strongly recommend everyone thinking about coming here to NOT come here either there are way better places to get good coffee and service . Waste of time and money .

Steph C.

Yelp
Food: Tried the breakfast burrito and it was satisfying after a workout. The eggs were cubed which was different in a good way. I liked the green sauce and take out container it came with. Service: Helpful. Self-service water bottles. Ambiance: Busy but plenty of outdoor seating. Indoor seating sits about 4.

Gernaut A.

Yelp
Cute space. Like the vibe. But like please please please fix your medium cups and lids. You leak like a 21yo and for hours. I will stop giving you business if you don't fix this.

Erica K.

Yelp
There's no such thing as too many coffee shops or lattes in the city, thus why I was and am so excited for there to be a Réveille Coffee in the Marina! It's an industrial yet aesthetic space with inside and outdoor seating, I hope they'll open the upstairs soon. I ordered their Cardamom Croissant for $4, which was non-caffeinated, but made up for in texture and taste although I had only wished the cardamom taste was stronger. Nonetheless, it was yummy and a good stand in for La Cabra, so it's definitely a must to order their Cardamom Croissant; now I have to figure out which drink to pair it with!

Oren H.

Yelp
Always super friendly staff and yummy coffee. Glad to have some good coffee in the Marina. And the coffee art is also appreciated. Thank you for helping me start my day off on the right foot!

Cris L.

Yelp
Located on busy Chesnut street. Got an oat milk latte from here which was pretty standard and good. The place is pretty hip inside with concrete walls but they have decent outdoor seating. Limited indoor seating.

Jocelyn H.

Yelp
Took too long and nothing spectacular about their coffee nor pastries. It's a one timer for me :(

Bree G.

Yelp
Tasty (half-caf) oat milk latte. Super quaint spot. Staff was warm and helpful. I would recommend :)

Amanda M.

Yelp
Solid coffee and breakfast on the go kind of spot. The breakfast sandwich and burrito are both amazing!! The espresso drinks are also well done. There are very few non-chain coffee shops on chestnut that serve good coffee and Réveille is great. Overall, service is pleasant and coffee comes out quick enough. I'm glad Réveille is in the neighborhood :)

Mandy Z.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in the Marina! I love how there's outdoor seating, so you can enjoy your coffee and soak up the sun on a nice day. I ordered a dirty chai and could tell the quality of the coffee was great. Definitely want to try their selection of pastries next time!

Victoria Y.

Yelp
Chai was watered down. Sad because the place was packed and people seemed to be really enjoying their drinks.

Serra G.

Yelp
Favorite Cafe in the city. Fresh, clean, organic food and lattes. The Crunchy bowl is amazing. They also have great fruit and granola bowls if you want something more sweet.

Avery M.

Yelp
love the breakfast burrito here with the addition of the crispy prosciutto especially when it's fresh!! cheese pull 10/10

Michele H.

Yelp
Coffee was very mid. Visited this place on a sunday morning before going to West Coast Craft Fair. So busy, line was out the door. But also the layout of the place is very small, limited seating and a narrow hallway. Customer service was ok, not great. I was asking the cashier about the types of pastries they had and he seemed too bothered to answer. My order was an iced vanilla latte and an apple danish. Drink was disappointing, watery and lack of coffee taste. Apple danish was very yummy, flaky.

David Y.

Yelp
I saw Reveille and wanted a coffee to go before leaving the marina district last night. I parked right at their door & only had a few minutes so I decided to just get a coffee to go. There were 2 gentlemen conversing with the cashier/barista who I stood behind patiently to have my order taken but the cashier/barista did not make any effort to acknowledge or meet my eye contact even after a few minutes passed. I'm fairly humble so I didn't interrupt and barge so I waited a bit longer, until I just walked out. I found out afterwards that I did arrive 10 minutes before closing (5:50pm~) However, I don't think this fact justifies that sort of experience. So ultimately, this is a review of their service at a specific time of day so take it with a grain of salt but it left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

Darwin L.

Yelp
I travel throughout the year, so when I swung by SF to handle some errands my intention was only to stay a week. I did not expect that every day I would discover a new reason to stay longer. One of those reasons was Réveille Coffee in the Marina. The staff is warm and friendly, the music is chill, and the coffee is stellar -- special call-out to Riley for the amazing coffee she made me the other day. I often get the Mayan Harvest brew -- black because it doesn't need anything to taste good. When I drink it, I always get nostalgic about the time I spent in Valladolid in Mexico, walking up and down ancient Mayan pyramids and even taking part in a traditional Mayan ceremony in an underground cenote. It is bittersweet that I'm off again, but when I return one of my very first stops will be Réveille Coffee in the Marina.

Lexi C.

Yelp
I've only been in SF visiting for 3.5 days and I have been here 3 times already. The coffee is great and the matcha is amazing too. Pastries they get from another bakery that also comes to the Fort Mason farmers market. They are delicious. Only thing I would say is coffee does not come out very quickly so if you are in a rush, this is not the place to go. I was not in a hurry so it wasn't a problem for me!

Robert S.

Yelp
It would be nice if they did a better job to not block the walkability of Chestnut street. They set up their tables to create one lane.

Hans W.

Yelp
Really good coffee and nice outdoor seating right in chestnut. Some good breakfast options as well

Jahaia B.

Yelp
Cute little space with great outdoor seating. The breakfast bowl and turmeric wellness herbal tea were delicious and I loved the ginger molasses cookies with the ginger chunks.

MG G.

Yelp
Favorite coffee spot in Marina/Cow Hollow! High quality coffee, very cute space, and good food as well. The staff is friendly and efficient, highly recommend

Jesús Guillermo M.

Yelp
Coffee was good, customer service was ok nothing commendable but not really rude either. The parklet outside is beautiful and convenient, however people and delivery drivers double park next to it which I felt unsafe around since they're too close to the parklet structure and blocking a lane of the street. Menu is brief and to the point. Slightly pricey but not horrible.

Renin J.

Yelp
Ordered a dry cappuccino with oat milk. It wasn't dry. Nice interior. Prompt service. Decent cappuccino.

Ben C.

Yelp
Finally, excellent coffee in the Marina. This coffee shop is serving excellent third wave coffee -- or coffee made with care, using quality, fresh beans ground to order and knows how properly steam milk. Top it off with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Only complaint is they don't open until 7:30am. Need my caffeine ARLEE.

Todd R.

Yelp
The quality of these coffee nerds is beyond wonderful. If you go to Peet's, Starbucks or Coffee Roasters on Chestnut, you are missing out. This is top of the mark.

Regina L.

Yelp
Decent coffee, cool space. Baristas were nice too. The pastry I got wasn't good though, it was bready and somehow tasted stale instead of being light and crunchy. Would try again to see if that was a one-off thing.

Chelsea H.

Yelp
Their coffee tasted like bitter old drip coffee so I tried their matcha and it's super gritty and bad. The croissant is okay but not flaky or buttery, just sticky and burnt/stale.

Drew S.

Yelp
Tbh you'll get more personality and better product quality at a Starbucks. The three baristas working were negatively unhelpful and just seemed miserable with their lives. Wack experience. The only person who had good work ethic in there was the Mexican woman in the back side working specifically on food. Anyways do better luvs and maybe you'll get more clientele

U V.

Yelp
Whenever we visit Cole Valley our favorite spot is at Reveille Coffee. Food is delicious! Drinks are great, too! I strongly recommend their Mocha.

Kelsie M.

Yelp
I come here every single morning! We love it. The layout is definitely bizarre but the food and coffee/matchas are the best! Service is alright but it's a coffee shop so not much to expect

Mike C.

Yelp
Came here twice because the latte prob one of the best ones I ever had. Smooth and flsvorful.
