My husband and I went to Revival last night for dinner and it was an awesome experience from start to finish! Our server, Landis (sorry if I’m misspelling!), was so warm, friendly, and attentive. He made recommendations from the menu, checked on us often, and made our first time at Revival a real pleasant experience. We ordered some cocktails (Smooth Sailing and Trip to Trinidad), a half dozen oysters, and two specials (Denver wagyu steaks with chimichurri, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and pickled radish). Everything was delicious!!! We also ordered a pear and caramel sundae with candied nuts for dessert and it was to die for! Special shoutout to Manager Lucy for making it happen—turns out it was a seasonal dessert and they had actually switched to a strawberry rhubarb sundae, but she said they still had pears on hand and was able to make it for us anyway. Lucky us! My husband and I agreed it was the best meal we’ve had in a good long while! We really appreciated the amazing food and service and will definitely be back in the future!

Excellent pre-theatre restaurant. Quick and friendly service. Really tasty food, well prepared and presented. As appetizers, we had Kenebec potato chips, duck confit legs, and focaccia with three dips, all perfect to start. Then margarita pizza - sauce tasted out of a jar but really good base; little gem Caesar - good dressing but so-so croutons, and crispy pork belly -the star dish. All in all, great food and pretty good value. Great atmosphere.

Revival Bar & Kitchen is not a Berkeley student haunt but a fully realized California brasserie—an urbane retreat with spacious booths in dark crimson leather, antique mirrored headboards, and a long, warmly lit bar. The televisions are few; the noise is culinary. Scrawlings on butcher paper nod to its locavore ethos, while an open kitchen sends out the unmistakable sounds of real cooking. Bartenders are unfussy and quick. Fieldwork beers pour well, and the whiskey shelf is deep. What distinguishes Revival is rigorously local sourcing: Northern California meats, produce, and seafood, nearly all within a hundred-mile radius. The baby-back ribs, house-ground burger, Painted Hills steak, and wild king salmon are consistent standouts, well-prepared and seasonally attuned. Wines are chosen with intent, cocktails lean classic, and nothing feels overdesigned. It’s a restaurant that thinks like a city spot—discreetly stylish, serious about food, and just earsteps from campus and downtown. Highly recommended.

A really nice spot for dinner or even appetizers. Great place to meet before a show and after.

The Caesar salad can benefit with croutons. The meatballs should be more seasoned. Very expensive.

We had a reservation for Saturday, August 2nd. We only had to wait 10 minutes and the place has a good vibe and the decor is cool. The hostess was nice and friendly, things were off to a good start. We could see that they were very busy...we waited 10-15 minutes for water and for the waiter to arrive. When he arrived we let him know we were going to concert so we wanted to order everything right away since they were obviously very busy. We saw the Peach Burrata Salad on the table next to us, it looked good so we ordered that, Stuffed Squash Blossoms, a Margarita Pizza, a glass of wine and a margarita. After 15 minutes the salad arrived with two tiny pieces of peach. (About 1/10 of what the other salad had on it.) The waiter said, "I guess they ran out of peaches." The Squash Blossoms arrived and they were cold. 20 minutes later we asked if he could check on our drinks. He said, "the bar is slammed." The pizza arrived 20 minutes later and looked like it had been sitting out for 15 minutes, it was room temp. NO DRINKS. After 50 minutes our drinks arrived. We wanted another round but, just paid the bill and left. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. The waiter did not even acknowledge the situation.

Google
Pretty disappointing experience. Nothing particularly bad, just would not recommend among the options in the area. Was really excited about the cocktail menu but my martini ended up extremely sour/bitter not balanced at all, tasted like lemon juice mixed with gin…. Needed sugar or something to help it. Awful. Food was over cooked. Fries were skinny as I like but way overdone and minced into tiny pieces you couldn’t really eat. With a fork OK, and the dip sauce was nice just only given half a portion with the fries. Saving money on mayonnaise? Duck wings were mostly bones with remnants of charred or fried to oblivion scraps of duck jerky clinging to them. “With pickles and arugula”— literally TWO quarter pickles…. Come On guys. Just not generous. Looking around at other tables seems like pizza might be the thing to order, but with so many awesome pizza places in the city, why bother going here? Fun ambiance with really high ceilings and nice decor but slow and confusing service and terrible/overpriced food. Sorry….

Just popped in for a drink and a snack at the bar. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The drink and food menu is have seasonal offerings. The Euclidean Plane is a rift on the Paper Plane bourbon cocktail and was fantastic. Also enjoyed the Devil’s Advocate which had a nice smoky mezcal accent and other liqueurs. The vegetarian mezzo plate was delicious. Didn’t get the hand-stretched pizza made with organic heirloom flour but it looked amazing. Definitely will be back for more.

Yelp
Amazing food! But takes a while time to arrive. Ambiance is unique and nice as well. I would definitely recommend coming here, just make sure you aren't on a time crunch.

Yelp
We went to the Revival Bar & Kitchen for the first time this past Saturday. When we walked in, I was so impressed by the beautiful interior and everything was very clean. The food was amazing and I love how everything is locally sourced and organic. I had the steak and my husband had the duck. I'm picky about steak and the server assured me that it was a quality cut. She was right! We had drinks and they were amazing craft cocktails. I felt like the pricing was really fair for what you get and our server, Angie, was so informative and attentive. They also had a jazz band playing that added to the great vibes. We really enjoyed this experience and will be back.

Yelp
Some of the dishes were not tasty or just the same ingredients prepped differently. Also our wait staff wasn't knowledgeable about the cocktails. The ambiance and decor is gorgeous and unique though! Worth checking out for a drink at the bar at least.

Yelp
The worst the worst! Food was awful very expensive had crab fettuccine something nothing like fettuccine I ever had! One like crab meat on top some sort of green creamy sauce not sure what was in it very gross. Would never go back! Don't waste your money left hungry they didn't even provide bread NOTHING.

Yelp
Decided on this place right before attending a show. We were welcomed almost immediately and we sat at the bar. It was happy hour so we decided on the Duck Confit Wings and the Kenebec Fries. The wings were really good. Had this orange glaze on them that was very tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. Very, very good. I didn't really care for the aioli they came with though. I ordered the Save the Bees cocktail as well. It was ok but lacked booze and it was warm. The food and service was great and I'll be back.

Yelp
Came back for a drink - this blood orange gin gimlet was great! Knew the bartender, Robby, from Fonda in Solano. Great see him. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the happy hour menu and deals. I'll be back for happy hour!

Yelp
WHEN: Tue @7pm Came here to meet with 3 others for dinner and it was all our first time. Was able to easily make reservations via Open Table, but it's not busy since it's a weeknight. PARKING: I believe street metered parking is free after 6pm, so if you can snag one up, you're in luck! But please do not leave anything visible! One of us had her car broken into just down the street! I appreciate the extensive beverage menu which includes non-alcoholic cocktails, which I had! I chose: BLOOMS IN MORNING DEW - $12 Blueberry & Mint Tea, Pineapple, Lime, Rosemary, and Citrus Egg White Foam. Why am I always a sucker for drink with eggs in them? This drink was so good with the right amount of sweetness! I'm really glad I ordered it! It's also so pretty. HOUSE PICKLE PLATE - $12 Zucchini, carrot, cauliflower, bread and butter pickles. It's pickles, which of us decided on this? It's a waste in my opinion, I would have preferred actual bread and butter, haha. CALIFORNIA CHEESE BOARD - $38 Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese, Point Reyes Quinta Goat Brie, Cypress Grove Midnight Moon Aged Goat served with pralined walnuts, honey, apple, olive oil flat bread. Why were they called flatbread? It's bland crackers that no one even touched. The rest were good though! Charcuterie boards are always fun when it's just not pickles. SHISHITO PEPPERS - $13 House-made crème fraiche ranch. The fact that it is served on a bed of ranch takes the cake! These were fun to eat and I enjoyed it! Didn't hit a spicy one though, thank goodness. CONFIT DUCK WINGS - $16 Black Pepper & Orange glaze, arugula and orange jus. Pretty impressed with this one! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe it came with 5 pieces. RBK HOUSE DUCK TWO WAYS - $36 Mary's organic smoked duck breast and confit leg, port jus, mashed potatoes, heirloom spinach, cherries. More duck! We all shared this dish and it well enjoyed! Nothing dry about it, and I loved the creamy mashed potatoes. Too bad this spot closes early at 8:30pm, so we left to have dessert elsewhere. Our server was very friendly and we all had a wonderful time, feeling a bit fancy dining here.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Great and attentive service! Food is amazing! My go to dishes are the salmon and wild rice, or the duck breast with polenta. Both taste SO good that I dream of them weeks after I've had them.

Yelp
I had won a gift card here and was notified in an email that we can only order online and can't dine in, which is a first in my opinion. Since I took note of this, I went ahead and order directly on their website: pepperoni pizza, stone fruit & burrata, and fries. After waiting for awhile, I called to see if our order is ready and came to find out they don't accept any orders on their website due to them operating on a third party site =/ They could've put an announcement on their website to notify their customers ahead of time. So... I had to replace the stone fruit burrata to a heirloom tomato burrata, that was unfortunate as my friend really wanted to try that. My friend & I drove there and they had everything ready to go. We wanted to dine in and we ask the staff if it's ok for us to sit & eat, and they're actually fine with it. It would've been perfect if they notify us that we can actually dine in and order instead of order online if their website can't take orders.. While sitting and eating our food, we order two non alcoholic drinks: pineapple silk daqurai & a blood orange shrub mocktail which was good. Besides the hierloom tomatos, the food was mid. Only good thing is that their service was very good. They were friendly & accommodating to our requests. Since I use the gift card to pay half of all the food I order online, I used the remaining amount to pay for our drinks & the manager came and told us that it's all on the house which was fantastic as the whole situation was crazy. Of course, I left a tip for good service :)

Yelp
We as promised came back almost a year later to the day. We came in for a very early dinner so it was not crowded at all. This time, the service was solid, food was good, no complaints. Their pizza is actually really good - great crust. I also do like the vibe in there. Give them a go.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Once before a Young the Giant show at the Greek and once before a Rise Against show at the UC Theatre. Both time the service was impeccable, the drinks inventive and classic where appropriate. The cheese and charcuterie boards were good, last night had the pumpkin arancini...so good. Centrally located, a block from a solid public parking lot, might be a tad on the pricey side...order your food conservatively...no need to pay for leftovers here.

Yelp
It's one of the oldest Ace classic bar and restaurant in Berkeley. Location is great with accessible with central Berkeley and good for walking around before or after visiting this place. Therefore it's a resort for people waiting for a show or theater close by making Friday nights or weekend nights very busy and gets suddenly calm like after 7ish when shows starts! Food is delicious with good varieties. Service is relatively quick with responsive friendly waiters. There is full bar with good variety of cocktails. Good for gathering, groups, meetup and dates. Parking is a hassle in general in downtown Berkeley but doable.

Yelp
The wild salmon was excellent! However, my partner's steak was average at best. Oddly, they presented us with dinner specials after we had already ordered, that caused my partner quickly change our selections. The anchovies on the Caesar salad were unpleasant, and the peach strawberry shortcake was disappointing--it came with a flat biscuit rather than actual cake. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from our experience. The wait staff appeared very unhappy, and our waitress was particularly rude, though we chose to ignore it. The less than desirable service was especially disappointing since I had been looking forward to a nice dinner date. The subpar service left me feeling sad about what should have been an enjoyable evening.

Yelp
Came for dinner one evening prior to seeing a show at Berkeley Rep. Was pleasantly surprised with the food. Enjoyed the ambiance as we had a nice view of the room. Bar area seemed rather large, though I had made a reservation for the main dining room. As others had mentioned, service can be a bit slow, so don't expect a fast meal unless you say something ahead of time. I was fine with the pace and dessert was our only hiccup. Very much enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts and Deviled Eggs. The other items were good too, but these were my standouts. Will come back again when the seasonal menu changes.

Yelp
Elegant spot with fantastic values. Delicious food!!! For meat eaters, picky eaters, and vegans. Creative vegan dishes and display. Thank you especially to Eric for making us be grateful to take bar seats! Great conversation and service is an understatement- amazing drinks and knowledge shared- we'll be back. The drinks were pure art. Thank you Lucy for a great entry into the restaurant.

Yelp
Unfortunately Revival is a pandemic casualty. Maybe new management has affected it? But it's not the same as before the pandemic. Still close to Berkeley Rep and Freight and Salvage, so good for before the theater. But the food and service doesn't warrant the price. The service is spotty. I came in May for a large party and we had a great time. Came back in July and the kitchen and service had major problems.

Yelp
I've always loved the food and drinks here, so decided to host my 80th birthday party in their banquet room. We had 46 guests for drinks, dinner and dancing, and everyone was blown away by the delicious food, the superb service and the fun atmosphere. Lucy, the event coordinator and acting general manager, deserves a special shout out for her gracious coordination and professionalism. I'd highly recommend this venue if you're planning a party!

Bella D.

Yelp
My boyfriend comes here literally every single week -- sometimes multiples times a week it's his favorite spot. I love it as well!! service is great, the menu is very specialized and the wine and spirits list is well curated. I love how this place is always doing something new and exciting and has a rotating menu!!

Gordy S.

Yelp
Perfect drink. Really good music tonight. More than enough attention from the bartender. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Ditto the shrimp cocktail, especially the cocktail sauce. Didn't know cocktail sauce had a Platonic form.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Manager was the worst offender, ironically. Refused to seat us stating they had no available tables and that they were "booked solid for the next few hours" despite a nearly empty dining room. We were told we could sit at the bar. We sat there drinking our drinks and watching a nearly empty dining room for nearly two hours. We were a diverse group and I couldn't help but notice that all those who had been seated by the Caucasian manager were also Caucasian... don't want to make any assumptions but it was hard not to notice. First and last time there. Don't recommend.

Yelp
Celebrated my cousin's graduation at Revival and had an incredible time! We started with oysters and the artichoke--both fresh and flavorful. I had champagne, then the Pornstar Martini and Banana Republic--each cocktail was crafted perfectly. For dinner, I loved the Turkish flatbread and my steak with potatoes was spot on--tender and delicious. The vibe was warm, stylish, and festive, ideal for a special night out. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Revival truly made the evening feel memorable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Dinner food Menu is so limited, they need to add more variety, menu planning is necessary, service is pretty slow specially if you get the back room seating. Ambiance is great and waiters are all nice. Conveniently located if you are going to Berkeley Rep.. its on the pricey side, where we ordered a cheese plates which cost us 40$, its a appetizer for 2 hmmm, we came out of the restaurant paying fortune for a quick bite to eat before the show !!!

Yelp
I visited Revival Bar and Kitchen on a recent visit to Berkeley. It was early evening on a Sunday and we stopped in because it was right in front of us and there were some things on the menu that we thought sounded good. We walked in and sat at the bar. It's a pretty good sized restaurant but it wasn't busy at the hour that we visited. The bartenders were friendly and helpful in explaining our questions about the menu. I appreciated some of the unique-sounding cocktail options and had a hard time making a decision. I went with the rosemary smoked old fashioned. The drink was very strong, to that point that I couldn't really taste the rosemary shrub that was the most enticing ingredient for me. As this was the stand-out element making it different from a regular old fashioned, I would have preferred a little more of the rosemary flavor. For food, we went with 6 oysters and and the duck confit wings. The oysters were pretty good but needed to be loosened from the shells-- I always appreciate when they do that ahead of time. The duck confit wings just weren't great. They were tough and difficult to get off of the bone. When I hear confit, I think slow-cooked, greasy, and melt-in-your-mouth tasty and I didn't really get that from this dish. The friend I dined with wasn't a huge fan, either. The oysters were the best part but still not the best I've ever had. Not sure if I'd visit again.

Yelp
At some point, I'll make it to Revival. I've passed by it on Shattuck, but my timing was off about dining in there. However, I've always been fast on the draw when it comes to delivery, and I saw a salad with my name on it. Literally because my name was on the takeout box from their delivery service aptly named King Kale. It was the $22 Kale Caesar Salad. With the extras I ordered, it jumped up to $34.77. That included $4 for the Grilled Shrimp. $1.50 for Avocado, and miscellaneous fees and sales tax. The effort was reasonable, even though it was rather overdressed (photo: https://bit.ly/3JhwR0E). I did like how they wrote a note to disclaim that they substituted cucumbers with snow peas and mini bells. It's the thought that counts. FOOD - 3 stars...fresh but overdressed and the fees killed me AMBIANCE - n/a.. it was a delivery so.., SERVICE - 3.5 stars...they wrote a nice note TOTAL - 3 stars...better to visit next time RELATED - Exploring Berkeley? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2CbVh8u

Yelp
We had a delicious dinner at Revival tonight. The kale and beet salad was really tasty, the focaccia and three dips were phenomenal, and we split the cheeseburger and fries which were also great. The Brussels sprouts were good too, although they would've been even better if they were more crispy. We finished with the coconut mousse dessert special which was interesting and very tasty. All in all, the food really impressed us, the space is beautiful, and we will definitely be back for more!

Stacey L.

Yelp
The food was not good. The confit duck wings had little taste; there was not enough glaze. The mushroom duo pizza was burned and greasy. The grease dripped off the pizza and onto the table. The crab fritters were bland and didn't taste of crab. The cheesecake tasted days old. The best thing about our experience was Isma, who appeared to be either the lead bartender or bar manager. He made excellent drink suggestions and was very attentive. Hopefully, we were just there on an off day food-wise. Would try this place again just for Isma's excellent service.

Yelp
Fun vibe. I loved the house made focaccia bread. Excellent cocktail. Max and Zach provided great service.

Yelp
Pros: - Food was delicious - Service was friendly - Location was a minute walk from theater Cons: - Food portions were very, very small for the price. Left the restaurant still hungry (this never happens). Was with a party of 4 and we ordered 3 starters and entrees each. This is not a cheap restaurant, so it was pretty shocking how tiny everything was (the fries we got was probably a quarter of a potato for instance). - Service: we arrived 15 min early to our rsvp (6PM) and we still waited for over an hour and a half for our entrees (after 7:30PM). Even though we got starters due to the smallness of the size we were starving. This was also strange since the server when we sat asked if we had time constraints (we did--a play that started at 8PM). We just had enough time to eat quickly and then run to the theater that was (fortunately) less than a minute away. General: - They did comp our first round of drinks due to how long our entrees took to be served. - Can't help but feel this is a reflection of a restaurant that is struggling financially where they are cutting corners on the amount of staff and reducing portions. It makes me sad.

Yelp
This place is okay for small plates and appetizers, however the service is very slow and the pizza is subpar. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts and the Pumpkin Arancini as appetizers. The sprouts were a bit limp and overcooked - we could've done without them, but the Arancini was tasty. The puttanesca pizza was just bad. How can you mess up pizza so badly? I am not sure, as it's pretty simple to make a delicious pizza. Nevertheless, I was surprised at how disappointing the pizza was. Slivr is ten times better than the pizza here. Way too salty, not enough cheese, not enough tomato sauce, or even toppings. Half of the slices were simply exposed dough with no cheese or toppings. It's been a while since I have been in a restaurant and this unsatisfied with the quality of a simple pizza. To top it off, (pun intended) the service was so slow that it took more than 20 minutes for this pizza to arrive. I would definitely explore other options for dinner in Berkeley, and don't plan on giving Revival a second visit.
google avatar

Richard P.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I only ate there once, with three friends. The Caesar salad and my friends' dinner entrees were great, as was the service. Prices weren't bad and the wine pour was adequate for the money. However the Margarita pizza I ordered was a big disappointment. The thin crust pie had the requisite spots of char but instead of being a bit crusty (as thin crust pizza should be) it was soft and doughy...a big turn off. They need to work on this. Otherwise it's a fine restaurant in a convenient location near Berkeley Rep theatre.

Yelp
Wonderful Food, FABULOUS SERVICE!! This place is a MUST TRY! My bosses have their business dinners here, so I thought I'd give it a try. Welp! I've been twice now and the experiences are the same - best dinner, great customer service, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. The first time I went was Christmas Eve with my parents, sister-in-law, and boyfriend. They had a fixed menu and the meals were delicious! Both my boyfriend and I have meal restrictions. He's a vegetarian, and I am a pescatarian. I can confirm that this restaurant goes out of their way to accommodate all palates. Then, my mother called me in March and asked that we go back to the restaurant for Mother's Day. And, the experience was more spectacular than the last time! A special mention must be extended to Maximo. He was the consummate professional. He was attentive, communicative, and very focused on customer service. The food was SO good. There were 15 of us. And, we were so busy talking that I did not take pics. But, trust me when I tell you that you will not be dissappointed. I will be back again and again.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
Fries were stellar, chicken sandwich was lacking for this price. Service was great and very accommodating to where we wanted to sit. Ambiance was traditional nice American, but the food isn't farm to table so it's just okay. Taste wise the chicken sandwich was lacking flavor and was a bit dry. I think they could do much better for their prices.

Yelp
Stop by for drinks and a bite before heading over to Freight & Salvage. We were very happy with their signature old fashion. Sooo good! We also shared a salad and a pizza at the bar and our service and food was excellent. The Pizza is made in a brick over and comes out toasty to perfection. We will definitely be returning.

Franco V.

Yelp
Last night, we attended their so called New Year's Eve event. It was supposed to have Cabaret, Comedy, music, etc. So where as Cabaret and Comedy? The music was acceptable but the rest was absolutely embarassing. Not to mention that the food was overpriced.

Kate C.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for an early dinner after a Berkeley Rep matinee. The beef bourginon and focaccia bread with dips were excellent. Service was quick and friendly, but we were charged for warm olives which we did not order. Also served potato chips instead of French fries. Will definitely be back, but next time will review the check before leaving. Should add that the ambiance is great.

Yelp
This place has continued to evolve with time. I've visiting a few additional times, and I have to say it has really grown on me! I now count it as one of my go-to restaurants. The pros: The food is much better than my first experience. Some of the entrees are innovative and very tasty. I particularly enjoy the duck, which comes serves two ways (smoked breast and leg). It's delicious! The service is generally good, and I really appreciate that, as well. Finally, I've discovered that they make fantastic drinks. I feel like this place as gotten its "sea legs," even coming through the pandemic. Unfortunately, it's also way too expensive (but what isn't these days?). Some mixed drinks are $20! And entrees are generally around $40. With all this said, I'm going to amend my initial review, giving it five stars.

Yelp
We picked up Revival Bar & Kitchen for a pre-Thanksgiving supper tonight & were delighted by the sophisticated flavors, care in preparation, easy-to-follow directions. I'd highly recommend this neighborhood restaurant for their consistently delicious meals, & recommend ordering any holiday meal they advertise. You will not be disappointed. My compliments to the chef.

Yelp
Revival is FANTASTIC!! The food is delicious and artfully presented, the ambience and staff are excellent and always helpful. Just the other evening, Thanks to Lucy's terrific service, we made our Freight & Salvage concert in record time. BRAVA!!

Yelp
From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted by a smile and warmth. They atmosphere is lovely very college town vibe. You walk in the the music is jivining in the back but just at the right level. Great place for a couple - of friends, colleagues, others or singles whatever you choose this is the vibe for good food, good drink good service in Berkeley! See Gia (hope that spelling correct I lost my receipt ) the whole staff bravo

Yelp
Thank goodness we looked up the rating on another site or we would not have gone in ... we had an amazing meal, delicious cocktails and a pre-theatre dinner we won't soon forget! We didn't have a res, and thought we would end up getting a burrito on the street ... and we saw RBK and went in. We had 2 different cocktails - bee jazzy and another and they were fab We had the fries as an appetizer, and steak entree, vegan paella and kale pesto ... all very good. The steak was arguably the best vm sour for money steak dinner I have had this year Fun vibe ... lotsa servers ... FAR exceeded Expectations and so much better than the three point x stars that the cumulative reviews gave them Give them a try ... We would late this a destination spot for us

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday evening with my family. Chill ambience with a Goldilocks amount of patrons (not too many that it's unbearably loud, not too few that it's uncomfortable). I don't know why Revival only has 3.5 stars because all of the food was delicious!!! And while my mom was disappointed that the duck breast ($27) was no longer available, that's a good sign that they have a popular dish that runs out. We ordered the arancini ($12), cioppino ($29), fried chicken ($26), and braised short ribs ($31). - arancini (4 risotto balls) . . . way exceeded my expectations! They come with a basil aioli and various herbs/vegetables that combine exquisitely. - cioppino . . . comes with mussels, clams, shrimp, lingcod, and calamari. All of them are so good!! - ribs . . . are tender and flavorful!!! - fried chicken . . . comes with allepo-honey glaze sauce, whipped yam, and rainbow chard, 2 thighs, 1 drumstick. The drumstick was kind of dry and sad, but they made up for it with the thighs, which were excellently sauced and had the perfect amount of crispiness. The whipped yams were also good. The rainbow chard was not a rainbow. I've seen the pictures on Google that are a colorful array. This was maybe 2 colors. Also did not like their taste. Overall though, still a great dish! By the way, Revival seems to change its menu FAST. Below, I posted a January 23, 2022 menu I found on their website and the menu from my visit on February 5, 2022. Less than 2 weeks later, the menu is already different . . . Another thing is that some of their offerings seem pricey. Like they have a burger for $24? wot (i)n flation!

Yelp
Chef and staff Absolutely nailed it! Have been a fan since back when; but this was my first time back for a full meal since the pandemic (although we have done their great happy hour from time to time). Total value proposition- generous portions for quality fare. The vegetable paella ( optional seafood add in) was better than what I recently had in Spain. Perfectly cooked with bright, fresh flavors and a delicious romesco sauce to mix in. The BF adored his baby back ribs and we both enjoyed the Syrah from Lebanon- as good as any French offering at a higher price.

Yelp
This place was "full" on a Saturday at 5:15pm. They got us some barstools behind the bar but the tables were empty for at least the next hour. But more importantly: The value is seriously lacking for what they're charging. I ordered some confit duck wings ($17) which came with 6.....bones. Literally, these must have been the smallest ducks on the planet. Half the wings (flats) were just bones and crispy batter. The drums were chicken sized. The supposed glaze was non-existent and they were fairly bland. Total rip-off. People I were with got a burger ($28 w/ avocado) which was good but not unlike a burger you could get at any restaurant. And we tried two pizzas (about $25ea) and they were also OK. A few cocktails throw in and we had a $200 meal of a burger and pizza + wings. Nah, I'm good. There's so many better options nearby. Sorry, Revival.

Yelp
Finally went INSIDE Revival after passing by it for years. It's as I imagined - kind of old school posh vibe but casual at the same time. The menu sounds and feels rich in taste and flavor, but the food is not. The highlights were the arancini and kale salad. Both were flavorful with sweetish chilis on the side of the arancini and kumquats in the salad. Probably best to skip the clams and mussels soup as the coconut milk and flavors are not what one (or maybe just I) would expect. The same for the prime rib. The cod was tasty with some fresh vegetable sides.

Yelp
came to @revivalbarandkitchen for a friends birthday celebration! it was a gorgeous space with upscale food and vibes, making it a perfect place for a special occasion. with a full bar and ambient lighting, I felt so welcomed and cozy in the space. the menu rotates based on seasonal ingredients and the chef's choice, but was relatively limited. the servers were sweet, but the food did come out quite slowly. -- -- -- pictured: " pepperoni pizza ($24) // a thing crispy crust topped with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sweet peppers, red onion, grana padano, and arugula. the size was around the same as a mod pizza and apprently they use central milling organic heirloom flour. while it was pretty good and I appreciated the high quality ingredients, I'm not sure if it was worth the price for me personally given the taste and size. " passionfruit cocktail ($12) // I forgot what this was called, but the cocktail was so yummy! with the right amount of citrusy notes and sweet passionfruit, it was such a delicious and refreshing drink. " RBK housemade balsamic sausage pizza ($25) " seafood linguini ($32) " canary rockfish ($29) -- -- -- the final verdict: the food was a little lacking for me to want to go back for that specifically, BUT would definitely be back to try more of their cocktailsat the bar because they were delicious!

Yelp
Located in the heart of Berkeley's entertainment district. Freight & Salvage, Berkeley Rep, and the Aurora are down the block. They're very good at getting you out in time for the curtain. Food is very good, and service is excellent. The room is a bit drafty, so bring a sweater.

Yelp
I've been to this place a few times and every time is lovely. It's in a fantastic location, they have delicious food options, classy drinks, and an overall swanky vibe with good lighting and a great atmosphere. The bathrooms have eccentric wallpaper, which is a great place to take an edgy photo. They even have comedy on the last Wednesday of every month, and the comics are talented and get switched up so it's always new! Great place to take your friends to a nice dinner, go on a date for apps/drinks, or treat yourself to a comedy show and a glass of wine! I love this place and the people who run it. Cheers!
