"The vibrantly pink coffee shop closed on October 27 because its parent company Gabriela’s Group couldn’t “secure a long-term lease renewal,” per its Instagram post. This is actually the second time that Revival closed. Original owner Alyse Bordelon opened the cafe in 2018 (taking over the previous Vintage Heart Coffee), but had to close in October 2020 because business was too slow and there was a late rent payment. So then just under two weeks later, Gabriela Bucio, the co-owner of Gabriela’s, took over the cafe and reopened it." - Nadia Chaudhury

"Additionally, Bucio recently took over Revival Coffee on the east side of Austin. Since the coffee shop is located between Bucio’s home and the Gabriela’s restaurant, she would go pick up coffee often. She got to know the owner, Alyse Bordelon, and employees. When COVID-19 hit the city, things became financially challenging for Revival. At one point, staff was locked out of the building due to late rent payments. Compelled to help, Bucio reached out to Bordelon to offer assistance. They worked out a deal where Bucio took over the business and paid Bordelon’s back-rent. Now, the remodeled Revival Coffee was able to remain open with the same staff." - Gabrielle Pharms

"Revival Coffee in East Austin has permanently closed. The owner, Alyse Bordelon, cited financial difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the closure. Despite customer support and suggestions for a GoFundMe campaign, the uncertainty of the future led to the decision. The cafe was known for donating 10 percent of its proceeds to local charities." - Nadia Chaudhury

We were a little disappointed in our visit to revival as they had good reviews. On the positive side, the store is super cute and has a nice decor and vibe to it. Definitely a trendy looking place. Our coffee was pretty good, although I think they skipped the sweetener for my drink. The negative is the customer experience. It was really bad. There were three women working and either we were a distraction or they just didn't feel like smiling or thanking us or making sure we were taken care of. It was actually a huge disappointment. This could have been a one-off experience, but was a put-off for us and we won't be back. If you're looking for a cute trendy coffee shop on the east side with good coffee I'd say check it out. If you're looking for amazing coffee and customer experience, you may go somewhere else. Overall a good place, although it could be great.

Why am I just finding out about this place. It is so cute now. The parking is minimal but you can park on the street & you can park behind the coffee shop. They offer more than just coffee? It is pink pink, pink pink pink honey and when I tell you, I just adore this place. The Decour is so nice they have outdoor seating. There was actually an event being held there, so it made it super fun and a very enjoyable time. I’ll be back & Y’all come check it out.

I’m in love with this place. Amazing decorations, great atmosphere and very cool vibe. Great spot for pictures. Also you can come here an study. The patio is very big! Drinks are perfect! I got matcha with lemonade and it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try something else. It can be challenging to find a parking spot. Thank you for an amazing experience.

This was the cutest little cafe we stumbled upon in Austin. It was great coffee and the pastries were delicious and the pink decor was a cute staple for them to stand out. Definitely a place I will make a point to go to again if even in Austin.

Pink is felt left and right, up and down, in and out and all about. We tried their abuelita latte and it’s absolutely delicious. (chocolate abuelita is a Mexican chocolate with long tradition of unique cacao and cinnamon flavors). It seems that the prices are high for the kind of product but it’s great to try once or twice.

I was the only customer and the only words the barista mumbled to me in our entire interaction was “hot or iced”. She did not even look me in the eye once. I had no idea what her problem was. The drink she made was not good….. Either she could not be bothered to make a cup of chai that day or she does not know how to…I was really excited to visit this place because I had seen it on my IG Reel. It’s just as cute in person, but my drink and service interaction made the experience not worth

Walked in and the cashiers were very welcoming. Parking is in the back not only the front- I did park in the street as I didn’t know prior. I ordered the horchata coffee and it was sooo good! Oh my goodness! I definitely recommend coming here for breakfast or for a quick pick me up in the afternoon. The booths against the wall do lean foward from how many customers sit on them so you do feel like you’re falling foward. I will for sure be coming back

Fun concept and engaging execution. This pink coffee spot embraces you with cheerful vibes and receiving caffeine. Is loved. Will be missed.
