The food I ordered was to my liking except the fries. I ordered truffle fries and expected Parmesan sprinkle and cilantro on top however their meaning of truffle fries only includes oil which is an extra $2. The waiter brought our drinks with straws inside the cup, which was a no for me. We were told by the waitress that drinks weren’t refillable but he insisted on “making it happen” for us. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice besides smelling like sewer.

Good nightlife spot in DuPont Circle ⭕️. Several floors with different music genre on each floor next door at Decades. The speakeasy provides good space for private parties. In general plays mainstream music and is popular with the younger crowds.

I wanted to all around love this place i truly did. However while the food was amazing the service not so much. There was no reason it took us two hours in there. When they sat us our server came right away got us drinks. However when we wanted to order food 45 minutes until she came back. Then when our food finally came brought back everybody's separate which okay fine but failed to give us silverware. Finally after 15 minutes with our food she came again and gave silverware. Never again came back to check on us which thankfully I didn't want to refill i asked for over a half hour ago. Now its time to pay still she hadn't came back i finally had to ask another waiter to please give us our check. After two hours I was ready to just go home. Again the atmosphere and food was great it was just the service that made it a place I unfortunately wont be back to.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Edgar is hands down one of the BEST bartenders/waiters I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I sat down, his energy was warm, attentive, and welcoming. He anticipated every need before I could even ask, offered amazing recommendations, and made the entire experience feel personalized and memorable. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely takes pride in their service the way Edgar does. This wasn’t just good service — it was exceptional, top-tier, above-and-beyond. Edgar made my visit unforgettable, and I’ll be coming back just for him. Thank you for raising the bar, Edgar! 🌟👏

Kathy was a wonderful host and very lovely and nice ! When you come please asked for her , this passion fruit drink is hitting… I LOVED IT

Google
I will say the food was good but the service was horrible. The waiter was vaping behind the bar, the waiter was nice but he forgot my drink. The restaurant was pretty much empty and he was either sitting on his phone or talking. While looking at the check I noticed it charges a fair wage and a 17% tip is included. So as good as the food was I would not come again because of the awful service.

Crystal Acosta-Franklin

Google
Kathy was the best server and so friendly. She kept our food and drinks filled.

Google
Houston Mom celebrating birthday. I was a little worried because I thought this place would be too much for me but I really enjoyed it. The food was great. Our waitress Cathy was great. The atmosphere was perfect for this self proclaimed "homebody". Just enough

Yelp
My friend and I got our food delivered since it was snowing. So can't really comment on the ambiance, but they were so accommodating. Uber eats had a buy 1 get 1 special for wings and my friend was disappointed it seemed he could only get one flavor of wings. He put a note in the comments requesting a second flavor and they accommodated him! He said they were good wings. I got the nachos and added impossible meat. I wish that the meat was broken up into smaller pieces, but it was still good. I've never seen where a restaurant will put all the toppings on the side, but I thought it was a really nice touch. Because they didn't do that, my nachos weren't soggy. Would recommend.

Yelp
Ordered right away, but food took about 40 minutes. Food, I mean fried pickles. No water. No napkins (and counter was wet). After 40 minutes of waiting for a drink they told me that they didn't have grapefruit juice And couldn't make a bee Sting. That was the drink Inorderdd. A shot of bullet bourbon was 16 dollars. Plus a 17%tip. No option not to tip. Also includes a fair wage supplement. Waitstaff clearly doesn't care.

Yelp

Yelp
The world needs more people like RODNEY. he made for a great experience with amazing customer service for the cherry on top of a great girls weekend. We actually were suppose to go to a day party and the upstairs venue but the vibe Rodney created at Rewind made us want to stay. This personality makes people like me want to come back and the Mumbo wings will make you stay they were BOMB and the tots were crispy. Shout out to Rodney #typeshit

Jenny B.

Yelp
Denis was the absolute best bartender I've ever had :) and I'm a bartender! Come for amazing food stellar drinks and wonderful service from the most "delicious" man in town! Plus they have a late night happy hour! Sign me up! If you're anywhere in the city this is with the time to check out! I really hope they bring their bottomless brunch back! What a find!

Yelp
This place is just okay. I think the food is pretty overpriced for the quality you get. I've ordered the chicken cheesesteak a few times and it doesn't have that traditional, cheesesteak taste. The mushrooms really through it off for me and it comes with a cheese dipping sauce(?). Definitely not for me. Some of the best fries I've had in DC though so I'll give them that.

Mike G.

Yelp
Possibly the best loaded tater tots ever! Also had the Cubano which was excellent. Great service and drinks. Found by accident, pleasantly surprised; opened at 5pm when we visited, so keep that in mind if you dine early in the evening.

Yelp
My experience here surpassed all my expectations. We came in at 5:30p on a Saturday. No issues w reservations, in fact the place was pretty much empty. The food was delicious! Lots of bar food options and savory items. I had the Brussels sprouts and fried chicken sliders. They were absolutely delicious. The others in my party also cleaned their plates / took leftovers home. Everything was reasonably priced. Service was relaxed. At first our server was reluctant to split checks, but I guess since we continued to be essentially the only patrons by the time we left at 7:30, she graciously gave in :) Atmosphere: I was worried it was going to be noisy (especially because apparently this turns into a night club or something after hours?) but noise levels were more then acceptable. Will happily return!

Jocelyn Q.

Yelp
Best place ever!! Dennis made my night highly recommend!!! Best bartender ever! Loved the food and service always attentive!

Aileen E.

Yelp
Decided to stop by while visiting the neighborhood and had the best experience. Bar manager, Dennis was a hit and the best to make sure My friends and I had the best time. The Birria tacos are a must! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
My party of 4 went to Rewind during Happy Hour on a recent visit to DC. The food was all very good. The service was great. Everyone in our party had a great time. The only negatives would be a slight funky smell (sort of stale), and some spotty glassware that I am hoping just had water spots rather than not being clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Late night on a Monday after the O Mansion, we needed food. Great tacos, excellent smoky Old Fashioned and Ali's Spicy Barbie was very good. Halloween Eve Fun.

Ben D.

Yelp
Went here for dinner overall the value for food is good here but the quality is no there for a recommendation. The service was a bit lacking here waitress forgot our drinks a few times and our meals oddly came out at pretty stagard way half the group was served and then we had about a 10 minute wait. Food was ok I got a cheesesteak it was pretty bland tasting and needed salt and pepper. Almost everyone made a comment on things being under seasoned. The cheesesteak was almost all bread and the bread was way to thick for the steak so it blunted any of the steak there. Overall would not recommend the cheese steak.

Ben A.

Yelp
Service at Rewind is outstanding. Friendly folks and manager Nico is top notch. In fact, my daughter left her phone by mistake and one of the employees made an extra effort to get it back to her. Nico was so helpful. I really appreciated that!
google avatar

Artie B.

Yelp
If I can give 3.5 I would. While the reason for giving the 4 stars is the fact that they serve desserts late in the evening it's a great find in a pinch. The drinks were good and the choices was great. It reminded me of the old school diners that have cakes and pies late in the evening. Service was good and it was fun.

Charli A.

Yelp
We are from Arizona so we weren't really expecting much from the Birria tacos but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food here is absolutely amazing, the tacos are authentic. I've been dreaming about the deep fried Oreos since we left. And to top it off our server was absolutely phenomenal. Great place!

Yelp
This place is kind of hit or miss from what I can tell. I came here with a pretty big group of people on a weeknight for dinner. Rather than order a "meal" I just ended up eating some random stuff: fried chicken sliders, loaded tater tots, and the lucky charms cheesecake. The came out in the opposite order than listed above, no idea why. The Lucky Charms cheesecake was tasty and fun, I shared it with a few people at the table (since it came out before anyone's food) and everyone was a fan. Next out was the loaded tots, also delicious, and I highly recommend. Last out was the sliders, and these were only average. Not bad, but just kind of "meh" for me. Had I ordered those and the tots this place would probably have been a 3 rather than a 4, the cake helped the average.

Yelp
My friends and I enjoyed drinks at the bar at Rewind by Decades, a retro diner, bar, and restaurant. There were cool neon signs that said "Mirror Mirror on the Wall...blame it on the alcohol" and "$ave Water Drink Champagne". It was packed but we were still able to order drinks from the bar. The bartender was hospitable. With our event wristbands, my friends enjoyed a $3 Bud Light, $5 Gin and Tonic, and $5 Gin and Grenadine.

Yelp
Food was average - we got the Brussel sprouts and the wings. I liked the glaze on both - each had a nice hint of sweetness to it. Service was inconsistent - our server was so nice and kind but it really varied on when she was able to check in on us. Drinks were decent - nothing to write home about. I wouldn't really recommend it but will say that the cherry blossom pop-up was cute (if not overhyped).

Yelp
I highly recommend Rewind if you are looking for a chill more relaxed experience. I have been on the hunt for a good hot dog and they brought it for sure!!! All the toppings are perfect to add on as you will and their fries were crisp to perfection. The bartender Rodney was absolutely a delight. He was very knowledgeable and had so much carisma! I will definitely be returning just for his service alone. He made our whole experience going above and beyond. All in all ten out of ten for service, food, and atmosphere.

Greg B.

Yelp
OMG, get the chicken and waffles! Crispy, tender fried chicken with a tastey crust, and a surprisingly tasty waffle. Truly enjoyed it on a night I was looking for some good comfort food. And, my server, Vanessa, was awesome.

Yelp
A friend and I had fun at Sakura: A Japanese Pop-Up Experience yesterday, but I would not recommend it if you're looking for something spacious and upscale. It seemed they were only using the bottom half of the lounge, so very tiny and nothing fancy. It's decorated very nicely though...lovely for photos. My Ramen noodles could've been hotter. They were slightly hotter than room temperature, but not the temperature it would be if you went to Sakura or any other noodle restaurant. We also had a wobbly table that they ended up propping up with paper. LOL The food was all very flavorful! I have no complaints there and the drinks were delicious.

Yelp
Honestly I have never been in the restaurant to eat. So your properly wondering why I'm leaving a review. Well I'm here to tell you that although I haven't physically been there I have in fact eaten the food. I've ordered the food through Uber eats about 3 times now and I have got to say it's absolutely amazing. The food is a little on the pricey side, "might also be because of Uber eats inflated prices", but not only is the food always packed well and somehow hot, but the quality is always top notch. If this is how their Uber eats/ takeout is I can only imagine how the food tastes from the kitchen straight to the table. If you don't have time to sit down and eat I would definitely recommend putting in a take out it order or delivery because I think it's totally worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
Rewind by Decades...what can I say. I know! This place was really cool to visit when it was doing its Japanese Cherry Blossom theme as my friend and I visited twice. The staff is great; especially the waiters and waitresses. However, if you plan to eat inside (they do have outdoor dining), it would be in your best interest that you make a reservation. My friend and I went the second time without a reservation not knowing that it was basically a requirement, and we were offered to eat outside. Thankfully, it was a nice day, so we did. The reason why I am providing 4/5 stars is because of the pricing. Some of the items are more on the pricier end; especially their drinks, but it is the city which is something I understand as well. Overall: It was a great time with a great environment. Would I return? Yes. Yes I would.

Yelp
Great places near Dupont circle for Happy hour or late night. Ambience was modern and cool, yet inviting. The music played was fitting for the atmosphere but not too loud. Menu prices were reasonable. Had their Happy hour wine special and their grilled chicken Cobb (no dressing). Enjoyed the food and drink, service was polite and professional.

Yelp
- fabulous late night eats and beers - fast service - decent music - the line outside moves fast - good fries - good nachoes

Yelp
I think they may have just opened and they were getting ready for the dinner crowd, i cant imagine them not being busy because the food was really good. I got the chicken sliders (3 for $17 or 5 for $21) and i ordered the skillet mac and cheese because i didn't know that fries came with it, downright amazing and happy i ordered it. The mac and cheese had a nice layer of cheese with breadcrumbs on top and the flavor was definitley on point. The sliders buns were toasted so they had a little crunch to them, but were soft and chewy on the inside. The chicken had great flavor and the chipotle sauce they put on there was amazing, fries were perfectly balanced between crisp and soft on the inside. My fiance got the avocado blt, she said it was aboslutely divine! I would definitely reccomend this place to anyone in or going to D.C.
google avatar

Yelp
Everywhere that has S&G, I'm gonna order it. Served in a mini iron skillet. Worth the wait. Would have appreciated a little more bay seasoning. The shrimp were plentiful. Could have used a little less cheese. Overall I'd order again. Shrimp:grits ratio = 5:1 Cheese:grits ratio = 2:1 Spicy rate = 4/10 Flavor = 8/10

Yelp
This was my first time at Rewind and I was overall impressed with the food. I ordered the chicken waffles and they came out superb. This was my first time ever trying chicken waffles and they definitely made me want to try it again. They ordered in our food at good timing and our food arrived at perfect time. Our waiter was very sweet, nice, and she was happy to service us. The place looks amazing I wanted to take pictures of myself standing in the place because it looks amazing in here. The seats are comfortable to sit on and it is inviting. I would absolutely come here again because the staff, ambiance, and food was amazing.

Yelp
This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel on Connecticut Ave. We can immediately liked the airy, open vibe. From our table by the huge floor length window we had a great street view. It's happy hour and our draft beer and glasses of wine were $5: a great way to start our dinner. Talia, our server, was welcoming and attentive. We loved our dinner selections. The moist perfectly seasoned salmons was the standout. Other dishes: southwest chicken salad, fried chicken waffle and Mac & Cheese Skillet were all yummy. Both food and service were great. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable dinner.

Yelp
Came here for the pop up Cherry Blossom Bar. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts, Gyoza, Wings, and Peppers to share for the table. As far as food goes, we would probably rank them in the order listed (best to worst). Everything was just "okay". The peppers were the only thing we didn't finish because they were bland and their sauce was also bland. We also ordered the apple sake, another drink I can't remember the name of, and the matcha milkshake. The drinks were much better than the food! As far as the service... it's pretty much non-existent. Our waiter basically disappeared around midway through our meal and we waited an additional half hour after we finished eating and sipping on our drinks for him to finally come by so we could ask for the check. Honestly there's only like 10 tables inside and at least 7 people were working, so it was a little frustrating to barely see him. Overall I would say this was an okay experience if you're in the area looking for a drink and a couple apps, but I wouldn't go back, nor would I go out of my way to come here.
google avatar

Lila W.

Yelp
I got the steak tacos and they were delicious. And the chocolate lava cake is really good. The food got there pretty quick.
google avatar

Tracey L.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend because we have seen so many videos of this place. The atmosphere and decorations were beautiful and it is a great place to go if you are looking for a trendy, vibey place. The service was good, and we were able to get our food pretty quickly. Food-wise, I think it is a bit overpriced for mediocre food. The tacos and burritos were some of my favorites but definitely not outstanding. I do not recommend getting the ramen because it is not actual ramen. I think they use spaghetti noodles instead of egg noodles. But I do recommend getting the Matcha Milkshake, I think it was delicious. Regardless, I was a bit disappointed in its price range. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun, new dining experience but do not expect much from the food.
google avatar

Safania R.

Yelp
I was invented to try their Sakura Pop-Up event. My first impression was that customer service was below par. I reserved it for 9 PM, and they had me at 6.30 PM. We tried four different things on the menu. The food was okay. There's nothing special about it. Our waiter never checked on us. The decoration was phenomenal, and I would say but other than that, the food was average. I would not come back to this place or recommend this place to my family and friends. Note: I was comped for this event.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Finally a lounge spot to enjoy with Cherry Blossom themed drinks during COVID I thought when reserving a spot... I was wrong. The initial smell of mildew when entering should've told me that the cool lighting was not going to be worth it. Honestly, the place looks great... but the clientele behavior, food, smell and service is a HUGE let down. Waste of money unless you want to take an Instagram picture in the teeny, tiny floral background they have quashed between tables. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a cherry blossom pop-up experience.

Yelp
If you've had one too many drinks in Dupont Circle, I could see the momentary appeal in overpriced bar food, but if you're sober, don't waste your time. It's been a long time since we had an incredibly bad dining experience in DC (props to the DC food scene). Here's why we won't ever go back to Rewind: 1) Food: It just isn't good. Their concept is a "high end" diner so they serve diner food (burgers, breakfast all day, etc), but with really expensive prices. Yeah, DC is expensive, but if your food is worst than IHOP's do NOT charge over $20 per dish. My wife and I had a drink, appetizer, and an entree each and paid over $100. I never felt worse spending $100. The salmon salad was overcooked and lacking flavor. The Juicy Lucy burger was small and tasteless. The mac and cheese and pigs in a blanket were decent, but again, not for the pricey tag attached to it. 2) Drinks: Worst I've had in the city. My marg was not mixed well, small, and I almost didn't finish it. I'd pay money to not finish it. My wife had the Old Fashioned and it wasn't good either. It was watered down. 3) Service: At first, they were attentive, but then they disappeared for a long time. The entire dining experience took 1.5 hours for gross diner food. I ordered the meatloaf and it took the server 20 minutes alone to let me know they were out (of course). 4) Atmosphere: It's a weird vibe. It's meant to be a throw back to the decades (which decade it's unclear). Contrary to their marketing, there's nothing classy about this place. I rarely give poor reviews, but this experience was so bad, sadly, I had to write this review.

Yelp
I was pumped to try the Cherry blossom pop up bar and made a reservation for a Friday night. We got there on time and ended up waiting 30 minutes post reservation time to be sat. I understand things happen but there was poor communication/customer service and a ton of crowding, with COVID protocols of socially distancing kinda non existent while waiting to speak to the host. We were all jumbled into the small room (probably 20 people) while the host would take your name and then ignore you for 10 minutes at a time. No "oh I'm sorry we are looking for a a table" just us being ignored. When we finally did get sat, it was a spot by the window which had no resemblance of anything cherry blossom related. The kicker too was that all the people waiting by the host stand (15 people at a time) were blocking our view of the rest of the restaurant. Our waitress was kind and brought us a free shot to apologize but other then that, the service was not great. How can anyone see us by the window when a group of people is blocking the view and listening to our convos? They need to 1) enforce the table time limit of 90 minutes and 2) create a outside line for social distancing and to avoid crowding. Prices were high and they were out of 1/4 of their signature drinks. Goyza was tasty but would I deal with all the hassle again? No, probably not. Gratuity is included and we paid $120 for 4 drinks and two apps.

Cozy C.

Yelp
Can't really review because you have to pay $20 to get in just to order takeout. I could've sworn Decades was the club and Rewind is the dining part. Hopefully that changes soon, I would love to try their food without a cover charge
google avatar

Romy G.

Yelp
Nice to come here before going out in DuPont. My friends and I made a reservation online and were seated right away. Our server Markeeta was so sweet and helpful :) made our day. She helped us select what we wanted from the menu and told us about all the drinks. Not only was service great, but food was also delicious and served quickly. We all ordered the guava margaritas which were really good, tasted like they were made with guava nectar. The loaded tots were rich and addicting. The three of us couldn't even finish all of the large serving. The chicken tenders came with a bunch of fries too. I tried my friends Philly cheesesteak which was flavorful. Overall, definitely recommend Rewind.
google avatar

Adam I.

Yelp
Tried to go last night at around 11pm but a man sitting at the door took one look at the picture of my (real) vaccination card and said: "that's a fake." I asked what he was talking about and he said "your name isn't Adam" (my name is Adam). I showed him my ID with my name on it and he told me that was fake too, and mumbled something about how I'm "only 25 years old." I am 39. I wasn't allowed in. My vaccination card and ID are both real. Guess this place doesn't want my business? Don't waste the trip.

Nicole S.

Yelp
While searching for a place to have dinner for my sons bday, I stumbled on a TikTok that gave a really great review of Rewind. Talia, the waitress was amazing. Her menu suggestions were on point. We had the brussel sprouts, mumbo wings, salmon, skillet Mac & cheese with shrimp, and birria tacos. Everything was really good and there was very minimal wait. Not the fanciest place but the customer service was great. I would definitely visit again.
google avatar

Joseph O.

Yelp
Worst service ever the food is bland and not good. We sat at the bar and the barbacks was rude and disrespectful. Then a chef showed up drunk and offensive towards us I'll never be back here again. Bad food bad service they should check there personal when hiring
google avatar

Noell M.

Yelp
Food was great and service was on par! Large group from out of town and everyone enjoyed!

Jazzmin G.

Yelp
Came out of my way to try this place as there wasn't much still open to get food after midnight but apparently it turns into a club after hours so I wasted my time just to get searched and told I'd have to pay a $20 cover just to order.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
False advertising!! I ordered an Impossible Burger through door dash, double checked the website to make sure they actually had it, and waited for my order to arrive. Door dash was great, arrived timely, etc. but you can probably imagine my disappointment when what actually arrived was what appeared to be a basic morning star farms type veggie patty- NOT an Impossible Burger. Now you're probably thinking who cares, right? No. No. No. There's a reason this burger is $15, and why it's so hard to find at so many places. Did they really think no one would notice when they subbed out a $4 burger king veggie patty full of carrots and veggies? If they were out of stock, they should have pulled it off the menu, not tried to fraudulently charge more for a different burger. I contacted door dash right away and they were awesome, but this place is definitely off my list.

Yelp
Went for the Cherry Blossom Pop Up event at Rewind a few weeks back. It was my first time trying Rewind and had fairly low expectations. Normally, pop ups focus more on than decor and decorations than the food, but at Rewind, I was pleasantly surprised! We had a plethora of food - trying most of the menu, and everything was a hit! The ramen was fabulous, and everything was fair priced. I plan to return for other pop ups and for the regular dine in experience in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great. We had the captain crunch French toast, tater tots, Brussels, and a giant pretzel. Service was impeccable. I never had an empty drink, and our server was always available. The drinks were great, and we loved the atmosphere.
google avatar

Eboni S.

Yelp
Went here for the Sakura pop up bar. It was decorated beautifully. The chill hop music was perfect for the ambiance with soft colored lighting. The drinks were good and I had strawberry and matcha mochi ice cream. It was the best mochi ice cream I have had in a while. I'm looking forward to other pop ups by this location.

Yelp
The only reason I'm not giving 1-Star is because the food and drinks were alright, however pretty overpriced. $17 for a cocktail. We arrived about 15 minutes late to our reservation, (We understand that was entirely our own fault, and completely on us) however we had called beforehand to let the Host know we were going to be 10-15 minutes late and he had told us it was okay. Upon arrival, the Host got in my face and scolded me for being late. I apologized for being late and he told me that my friends and I had 45 minutes to dine and we had to be out the door for his next seating. He also made sure to stare us down from behind the Host booth the entire time we were there. Looking back, I would've preferred to be turned away rather than be treated so unwelcomed. Thankfully our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. Made things a bit better however the entire experience had been soured from the get go.
