I miss this place so much. It was my favorite café around! They had the best coffee, brunch, and vibes, and I was so devastated when they burned down. I hope you guys are doing well. Sending good vibes🫶🏽🫶🏽

This is a terrific cafe & bar! The staff is tremendously friendly and helpful, and the coffee is terrific. I haven't tried the food yet, but I am eager to come back soon. The pizza looked great! The place definitely has an "Austin hipster" scene, and I mean that in a positive way. Thank you RC for being so helpful and answering all of my questions!

This place has such a big potential, but, unfortunately, unused. We came here because of the open patio on hot May day. Inside, the place looks ok. Decent, not much different than the other places in the area. But patio… in my opinion under average. If they just invest a little bit money in the patio- this place would rock! Many places have small and ugly patios, but this place has a spacious and nice one, but they have to invest in it. New furniture, remove those artificial flowers etc and then it will be great. In that location, with a little bit nicer patio, this place would be full non- stop! Service is great, no comments needed. Pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil was delicious. Chai late that I ordered was ok too, but espresso was bad. 3 of my friends had it and all 3 said it was a little bit sour. Also, I have to mention we didn’t like the fact we couldn’t order pizza before 11. From 10 am - 11 am you can only order breakfast, if you want pizza you have to wait 11am.

I searched for "kid friendly with wine" and this place did not disappoint. Food and service were A+ most wine is by the bottle though. Be ready if you order a slice. They are huge! If I am ever in the neighborhood again I will definitely be back. Highly recommend a 10" pizza for a kid.

First time here and during the pandemic. It felt so good to visit and see other people after months and months of not being able to do that. The staff was so cool too and kept giving me coffee refills! Def feel the love towards the community and would highly recommend this place...thumbs up!

Really really good food. Fresh, delicious. The fried chicken pizza was way better than it had any right to be. The chicken was super crispy and yummy. The avocado wrap was awesome too. I'll be back for sure. Friendly staff. As an obnoxious New Yorker, I'm picky about pizza. This was excellent.

Very disappointing visit on 6-6-2022 Lunch. After getting recommendations from others, I just had the worst neighborhood pizza slice. Had to wait a long time for a couple slices and Brussel Sprouts appetizer. The Sprouts came out quicker than the pizza slices. As for my sausage pizza it was more like an older dry and hard cheese slice with dry sausage bits sprinkled on top. Heck the sausage bits fell right off when I picked up the slice. So disappointing that I wouldn't feed this to the birds as they would chip their beaks on the crust! Hope this is just an apathetic lazy employee and doesn't reflect the restaurant in whole. My wife and child might go back for other items but I am done with this recommended location.

The pizza was kinda weird. It was good but it wasnt great. It's a softer pizza it that makes any sense. Pretty fluffy dough, good amount of cheese. I feel like they robbed me on the toppings tho, toppings are 2$ each. I just got pepperoni and as you can see, there's barely any pepperoni. If they would just add some more pepperoni to it I'd be glad to give it a 4*+ The Chilli oil and the Chimichurri makes it better tho. I'd recommend if ur in the area, good ambience and service. I will be back.

Needing to wake up!!?? Head on over to ReWired for some good energy boost! This coffee is so delicious and honestly they are so sweet in there and the ambiance was small but it was so cool to walk down into! It's such a cute little place and you have to really look for it when you're walking down the street you can easily miss it!!

Rewired Pizza Cafe & Bar is definitely a vibe. I have visited Rewired a few times when it was originally located in Lakeview and prior to moving into the area. Once I was officially in the area I knew I wanted to make this a go to place for me. When I visited earlier in the year I didn't have a great experience with the fried chicken pizza. The chicken on the pizza was very burnt and dry so I took a break from the restaurant. I really wish I had visited sooner after that experience because the other item that I tried was delicious and the staff was so friendly. I ordered a burger this time and steered clear of the pizza just incase. The burger comes cooked through but it was still juicy which is hard to do with a well done burger. For my side I ordered the side salad which was massive. I was expecting a small side but it seemed like the size of the side salad dish which was a plus! I was able to take half my salad and burger home to have leftovers. I also ordered a mocha which was tasty. I normally order mochas when I go to cafes. At Rewired you can actually taste the coffee in the mocha because I've experienced many places that you only taste the chocolate. If you like your mocha a little more sweet from the chocolate you may not like how make theirs. I've had a few times and it is pretty consistent. I don't think they would mind if you ask for a little more chocolate if that's your preference. Rewired offers indoor and outdoor sitting. The great thing is that Rewired offers outdoor sitting longer than the other places around here. They put up a tent and have heat lamps so you are able to stay warm while still taking advantage of the fresh air. The both sitting areas are spacious so they can accommodate various group sizes. The indoor sitting is of course larger and nicely spread out. You can choose from sofas, low tops, or high top dining. I normally see quiet a few people working remotely from the cafe so it can get busy but they always seem to have at least a seat or two available. My favorite thing about Rewired is that they have a frozen drink machine! I normally have to travel 20 or 30 minutes away from home to get a good frozen drink. The fact that it's in my neck of the woods and not bad is a plus. They offer specialty drinks and it looked like they had a full enough bar that they probably could make something off menu. I haven't gone enough times to test that theory but the staff is laidback so they would let you know if it is possible or not. I cannot to make up for lost time at Rewire in 2023! I highly recommend visiting just for the frozen drinks alone.

I am truly enjoying my time here at Rewired Pizza Cafe and Bar. It's Thursday and while it's Date night here, my family and I sit here listening to the Tom Lowery Jazz Trio Band play wonderful jazz music and having a great time with really good food. Thursdays they have a special date night package in their menu. A whole bottle of wine, a choice of 4 different house made appetizer, a slew of choice or BYO whole medium handmade pizza entree, and three choice of dessert for a mere $49! They didn't care it's a couple but we were a couple of people so my son and I got that package and thorough enjoyed all of it. Service is friendly, attentive and good. I must say their chicken egg rolls are very good and it is not the commercial kind that you find at Chili's or a food chain. It's made in house and delicious. We will definitely be back again and we see many patrons coming in to either take out or just hang out having a date l, listening to music, studying, or working on their laptop. It's a great space and ambience for many things while simply enjoying a nice night and good food with friends or just by yourself.

My friend lives very close to this spot which is conveniently located off the Thornton red line L stop for easy access! We decided to meet here since I was at an event very close by, and I'm glad we came here because the place almost gives the vibe of a straight up coffee shop or place that does board games, but the fact that they serve amazing food and have beer on draft makes it perfect. It was a week night during the winter so the place wasn't really busy, but it was a perfect spot to catch up with my friend who I hadn't seen for months. Our server was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered the Buffalo cauliflower which was alright! I wasn't super thrilled with it, but I also wanted to somewhat stay on the vegetarian or healthier side. I've heard great things about the pizza and other food here so a return is a must! Will be back!

Went here for Brunch on Sat morning. Sat outside, had a great meal. Service was REALLY good. We had someone who had pretty sever food allergies to peanuts and egg and they were all over it - the waiter completely knew the menu and took the initiative to make sure on a couple things. On a small Edgewater street off Broadway is a gem of a cafe that will rewire you. The interior is informal chic with table tea lights and friendly wait staff. We had their Caesar salad and white truffle pizza and a few tap beers. The tab was reasonable. On Saturday and Sunday the have a good brunch. They also have music nights which we have not been to. If you come once, you will return.

This was the first time that I have ordered from here and truth be told, I probably won't do it again. I chose to try it because it was rated #1 in my area on yelp so it made sense. The first problem was that they got the ingredients wrong even completely missing one. Next issue is the price was not what I would call reasonable by the time they added in fees, service charges and tip. Finally, after all of that, I found the taste to be nothing more than average. Next time I'll order from yelps 2nd top rated which I have thought to be the best thing crust on the Northside. Gino's North.

I miss this place. Can't wait for it to reopen soon. Best pizza ever! Along with the side dipping sauce.

On the recommendation of a fellow Yelper (Erika "Awesome E" G.), I decided to order dinner from here. I honestly had never heard of them, but Erika being a non-pineapple pizza eater raving about a pizza with pineapple on it had me intrigued. In addition to Erika recommending them, the owner is a member of a thread that I in on Facebook. He offered a code to get 20% off of the bill, plus free delivery, so I decided to check this joint out. Looked at the menu and settled on an appetizer of Artichoke Dip (cream cheese, spinach, artichoke and parmesan cheese) and two small pizzas: Al pastor pork, pineapple, pickled onion, cilantro, and green salsa and Fried Chicken Pizza (fried chicken, bell pepper, cheddar, and ranch). Pizzas come with a side of chimichurri and chili oil. Delivery was very good as the order got there well before the expected time. Actually it was so quick that The Doctor and I were trying to figure out who was calling a Saturday night while on lockdown. The artichoke dip threw me for a surprise. I knew the pizzas came with a side of chimichurri and my first thought was that Rewire had forgotten my appetizer because I opened a small container and thought it was the chimichurri sauce. In fact this was the artichoke dip. On first glance it looked like a pesto sauce, but I looked at what was written on the container top to confirm that it was indeed the artichoke dip. The was a first for me because it was so green, but when I dipped into it with one of the fried pita chips that came with it, it was delicious and smooth/creamy. For the Al Pastor pizza, the draw was the pork and pickled onions. I am not much for pineapple on a pizza, but thought the sweet and sour mix might be worth exploring. The fried chicken pizza had me at fried chicken, so I was all over that. Both pizzas had great flavors, the crusts were nice and thin, but had good body to them to support the toppings. My only complaint about the pizzas was that the meat to other toppings ratio was lean. There didn't seem to be that much of the featured meat on either one. I say this from the perspective of when I can eyeball the count of the pieces of meat, it is not enough for me. I am not looking for the pizza to be all meat, but I definitely want to see that there is more than 1-2 pieces on each slice. For the Al Pastor, I tasted more pineapple that pork and that ain't working for me. Would I order from here again? Most definitely! The ingredients tasted fresh and again the flavors were great. If there had been the right amount of meat on the pizza, this would have easily been a five star review based on service and food. It is possible this was a fluke as I mentioned the order came really quick (much appreciated) but maybe in the haste to prepare the order, they forgot to put on extra meat. I will keep you posted on the next time I order from here.

Please re-open. A true neighborhood oasis. Great local entertainment, no cover, & reasonable prices for food and drinks, The crowd seems to be friends, with each other & with the band, and would be happy to be friends with the next person who walks in.

I definitely love this local neighborhood coffee shop! I'm not even sure if this is technically a coffee shop because they also have an extensive pizza and dinner menu as well as a well stocked bar but when I visit in the mornings it functions as a coffee shop. They have great breakfast burritos and amazing coffee drinks with the best presentations. Such a great place!!

This place has a really great atmosphere. Every time I walk past Rewired is always busy and live music is playing! They also have great happy hour deals everyday. My husband and I went there for dinner a few times and coffee a few times. My favorite is their Horchata Latte! That was delicious. This is such a nice little independent cafe/restaurant and I am so happy to have it in the Edgewater neighborhood!

Finally! An amazing cafe/restaurant/bar in this nook of the neighborhood! I don't normally have one favorite place, but this is easily becoming by go-to. Service: The best! All the servers are super friendly and attentive even on busy nights and mornings. Ordering through the app is also a convenient option. The complimentary little cookies with the coffee is a cute, thoughtful touch. Ambiance: Eclectic vibe, totally Edgewater. Most of the people who come are from the area, making it a great community spot to meet neighbors. Live music, trivia also brings lots of fun. Food: Great! Pizza, salads, sandwiches and delicious brunch options. I'm more of a brunch person and loved the BELT and Benedict. Drinks: Super crafty coffee drinks, their Pride latte tasted like fruity pebbles and was so extra with the sparkles - loved it. Really well done cocktails as well. Overall, check this place out. So happy they're here and the patio is great for coming with friends/family or just working remotely on your own. (Would have posted photos of my food, but I inhaled it too quickly.)

Great patio, aperol spritz, and meal. From pizza to the wrap, overall good experience. Our fries came out cold, but the staff was very kind about replacing them. Friendly and good environment!

I had not been there since the last owners. They have completely redone the restaurant. There is a lot of outdoor seating. The waitress was efficent , helpful and friendly. I was fortunate enough to meet the chef, I think his name is Michael? I wanted an omlet and that is usually brunch only but he was around and amenable. He does a good omelet. They had good looking pastries but also some cookies in plastic that looked intriguing. One was vegan ginger. Onc I tried a doggie treat of liver snaps. It tasted like cardboard as dogs don't do well with spices. Most of my associations with vegan astry was only a little better. I am courous so I tried it. I have no memory of a better ginger cookie vegan or no. It was wonderful. The omelet was very good. The reason I did 4 stars instead of 5 is the coffee. I am very old and very old school. Their coffee was not bad , certainly better than Starbucks but I have recently found some great coffeee so I grade hard. I did not try the pizza or burgers but if the quality matches the omelet I will try them in the future. The new set up inside is much improved over the old way. There were a few doing laptop stuff at other tables. It is all in all a comfortable place with decent food.

$10 slice of pizza +beer + shot of whiskey/tequila combo. Unbeatable. Rosemary garlic fries are incredible - I put their house chili oil on top! Brandon was our server and was amazing. We had a delay in our food but Brandon worked to figure it out for us! Would definitely return if I were in the area.

The people working here were very nice, but they just need to step it out regarding their food and prices. I ordered a blt, pretty simple so it's odd that it tasted so bad. They literally put one piece of wilted lettuce on it, two old tomatoes, and the driest bacon I've ever had. It was thick, but so dry that it almost tasted like jerky. And there were chunks of fat that resembles like jello. All that for $16. The curly fries were good. If someone is ordering a blt, they want something light and fresh. Light doesn't mean you put barely any toppings. And fresh means that you would eat what you are preparing. If the ingredients look questionable, let the server know so they can suggest something else. I would come back, but my friend said the food always sucks so I don't think I'll waste my money unless I hear they changed their menu or got a better chef. Hopefully, someone from the business will read this and step it up.

Omg, come here for morning coffee and why tever leave?!!!!! Awesome staff, breakfast lunch dinner, wifi and a full bar in a funky atmosphere with great clientele. I'm literally thinking of moving to this neighborhood so I can live here!!

Rapidly becoming one of my favorite places in the neighborhood! The patio. THE PATIO is the best. Lots of heaters. Dog friendly. Contactless ordering - super easy to thru an app. Friendly owner, great staff. And now, in addition to the fantastic pizza, two more things stand out. The BLT - one of my favorite standwiches to begin with, this one adds melty Swiss cheese. OMG, so good. And the $2 extra side salad is really generous. But . . . the Smashburger. My BF got one yesterday, and we are going back RIGHT NOW because I must have one, I cannot stop thinking about how good it was. Add a couple of cans of Lulu Lager - you've got to love an owner who's devoted to his little pup. This place is a neighborhood treasure!!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Rewired yet! Their patio is the best, their staff quick and friendly their food delicious and exciting! This was my go to spot last summer, love all the pizzzas and the cesar salad! I just went today craving an orange vanilla latte that I thought I saw them post about, but I was mistaken. I absolutely loved this little coffee shop! From the outside it doesn't look terribly inviting, but it's so lovely on the inside! It's also quite a bit bigger on the inside than I would have expected. Good amount of seating. Lots of natural light. Great, chill music; perfect for studying or having a good conversation. They also had printing available for those who need it; 11 cents per page. Fun art on the walls that you can buy. And a cabinet full of books and games! They had mint flavored water (love!) I'm told they switch it up a lot (strawberries, lemons, cucumbers etc.)! I got the iced americano & it was very good! My friends got drip coffee and iced coffee (I know, we are so exciting with our coffee choices...). I tried both of theirs and they were excellent! We all got the breakfast sandwiches (egg, bacon and cheese on ciabatta) which were AMAZING. The ciabatta bread was phenomenal; it really took the sandwiches to another level. The staff was SO friendly! They were very fun and welcoming and just looked like they were having a great time. I am always so appreciative of good customer service. Great place for a quick coffee pick-up or a long homework sesh! I would most definitely come back here!

Thought I'd try Rewired a month later. I'll be honest, my two favorite restaurants are closed on Monday, so I thought I'd give Rewired another shot. I have to say it got a tiny bit better. Only three slices were burnt this time... The owner did reach out after my first review. I do appreciate the apology. I don't know what happened, the pizza used to be good. It's only a cheese pizza, I really don't know how this happens. I know I'm only one customer, but I think this was my last attempt. Anyone know of a great pizza joint, I'm open to suggestions!

We have been to Rewired Pizza Cafe & Bar a couple of times now and we have loved it! Not my favorite spot for coffee but the food is innovative, fresh, and quite a bang for your buck! Our favorite part... the fresh bread and the curly fries :) We recommend eating inside for a cozy and welcoming environment where you can study in style!

Rewired is the type of independent cafe that every neighborhood should have. They offer a welcoming environment for a diverse group of customers, a friendly staff, a decent selection of food, baked goods as well as cocktails. Stop by for some good happy hour deals. Is everything perfect every time? No - but it's not a chain so I cut them a little slack as long as they try to make it right.

I had a great time at Rewired! Everything about my visit was perfect. Service was quick, attentive and friendly. You order and pay with your phone via a QR code. For food, I had the burrata and fried chicken pizza. The burrata was fresh and served with flavorful tomatoes, greens, and crackers. The fried chicken pizza was amazing as well- and I loved that it was served with chili oil and chimichurri! They also have a great selection of local beer and wine! I can't wait to come back.

Wandered in from the street while visiting Chicago. It's a great place with mellow vibe. Coffee, beer, sandwiches... no wonder the place is busy and people like to handout and even work remote from here.

I saw this cafe appear in a sponsored ad across my insta timeline and thought I'd be in some state I don't live in. To my surprise, it was in Edgewater which is one of my old stepping grounds when I lived up north. I dragged a good friend of mine with me for the adventure and boy it was amazing. Jose was our server/ barista (one man band) and did he did a stellar job. I got the lavender mocha affogotta and a lemon poppyseed muffin. I ordered two vegan cookies to go. My friend ordered the blueberry lemonade and the BLT salad. All. Of. It. Was. Delicious. I surely would've recommended adding a little more lavender flavoring to the dessert I had. If you're not a coffee person, like me, don't worry. The espresso shot was barely tasted through the ice cream used. The candy stick was definitely a cute touch. My friend said the blueberry lemonade was amazing. He would definitely order it again Rewired BLT

I've been looking for a local spot to either do work or a neighborhood spot for food and drinks. I think I've found it! I've ordered pizza during COVID and it was awesome. Now that I've returned, drinks great, staff friendly/helpful and great atmosphere. I really appreciate the creativity of all items esp their drinks. All around would highly recommend.

We had a midsize Philly cheesesteak pizza, fries and few drinks. The cafe is a neighborhood friendly, cozy, relaxing place to hangout, get together, and enjoy the food. Food: great Service: good Price: good Ambiance: good

I really hate to leave less-than-good reviews, but I have to for Rewired. We came in here for a couple of coffees while on a walk through the neighborhood on a Sunday. The place was filled with millennials busy working on their screenplays on their laptops or surfing Facebook, or whatever it is they do. And by filled, I mean FILLED. No seats available. Okay, whatever, that's pretty much every coffee shop in Chicago I guess. But, what really pisses me off is only about a third of these people were actually drinking coffee. The rest were just taking up table/chair space and sucking up wifi bandwidth. And, yes, this actually is the fault of the establishment. Take a stand and kick freeloaders out of your place so your actual paying customers have a place to sit down. Now, in fairness, this isn't the only reason, or even the biggest reason, why I am leaving a 2 star review. The main reason is the coffee is terrible. The small americano tasted like it had a half shot of espresso in it, at best. Sure, it's better than Starbucks, but so is luke warm goat urine, so that's not saying much. Rewired seems really comfortable and like a place I would hang (yes, while actually paying for coffee). But, alas, I will not be.

I ordered from here after hearing and seeing good things and reviews. I was disappointed. The salad I ordered I did not eat since the chicken in it was grey in color and I was not taking the chance. Might try again for their pizza but no more salads.

this place is so stupís you have to scan a QR code and then you're trying to read the manual off your phone and if you know if your reading glasses, it's a real pain in the ass did they have the nerve to ask for a tip with all they do is just bring out something to you one time just wanted one beer and then the time it took me to order it I just decided to get up and leave God how I wish this place would go under. lol

I came here for an LGBT meetup group event. What a great place! We all ordered food at different times, it all came very quickly and was delicious. I had a mushroom sandwich with melted cheese, and the fries (the regular fries are curly and delicious.) At the end, the very friendly and super efficient waiter went around to each person with separate tabs--really convenient. It's a comfortable space and I saw that they have board games. Definitely a great place to meet up with friends or to come alone.

Great independent neighborhood spot with patio seating. Went for breakfast. Service was outstanding and so was the Goat Cheese Sammie.

Nice chicken and avocado club sandwich with all the normal ingredients, okay curly fries, blah mushroom sandwich with good bread, horrible panzanella salad with oily soggy bread cubes, some average chopped tomatoes and no other greens. Wait staff was nice but the outdoor seating was poorly covered and didn't stay dry during light rain. All in all an okay meal in a pinch. We didnt try the pizza but I fear, from the looks of the large slices, they have a soft crust with too much sauce and cheese.

I ordered the horchata latte and though the cinnamon flavor came through, I think the flavor of the coffee overpowered any other notes Ordered a build your own pizza and it came out perfectly. Friendly staff

This place was super cool and a nice vibe. The drinks were decent, but slightly overpriced. They are currently doing a Halloween pop-up where they re-make dominos pizza flavors so we ordered the spinach feta pizza and it was pretty good! The crust was a little overdone but it was decent quality tbh. Definitely check it out, there's a cute outdoor seating area and they have coffee, and alcohol. What more do you need?

This place is so cute! Amazing vibes, delicious drinks, really cool live music. The food tho... they need new chefs! Every time I come here my food is burnt to shit. Once I got a pizza, super burnt and practically inedible. Got a chicken sandwich that was practically black bc it was left in the grease too long. This place is awesome but I wish the food could be better. *sigh*

Busy morning but did not have to wait long. Good breakfast bagel. I got cinnamon with raisins bagel with sausage and cheese added. It was delicious. Coffee is fresh and tasty. Happening place for breakfast but good quick breakfast.

Ok this place is SUUUUPER charming. Went on a whim to grab a latte and was pleasantly surprised by everything. The inside is trendy and inviting. The barista was adorable and very helpful. He recommended the lavender vanilla latte with oatmeal milk and it was so good I had to stop myself from chugging it! The best part is, I thought the prices were really cheap. As you can see from my photo I got a huge latte for only $4. That's hard to find!

I love Rewired! I've had their pizza, fries and Buffalo Cauliflower amongst other stuff. All very good! Monday trivia night is the bomb with Stew! What I like most of all is the staff. They are the nicest, coolest, friendliest bunch! The vibe is awesome!

First time here and it was so yummy!! My bf and I were happy to see a new restaurant come to Edgewater! We sat in their outside patio area and ordered a veggie pizza and fried chicken sandwich. The pizza had lots of flavor; the dough was fresh and perfect amount of toppings. My bf enjoyed his chicken sandwich and the homemade chips. The sandwich was crispy and well balanced between breading and chicken. The owner, Dan was very kind and asked if we enjoyed our food! Needless to say we did and will be back! The cocktails are great too

This place was good, but not great. I was excited to try this cafe as it's just kitty corner from my place. A few things I appreciated were the community library, the location, and the aesthetic. The menu also had a lot of tasty offerings, and signature latte concoctions. The lavender vanilla latte with almond milk was delicious. The staff who greeted us was very quiet and seemed surprised we were dining in when we took a table. He didn't ask us when we arrived, but being a first time customer, I didn't think to state we were staying. It was a bit awkward. I'm normally not very picky, but my almond croissant was too crispy, and the top of it was burnt. I think maybe it was over cooked or old because the filling inside was not a paste, but rather crumbling a bit with every bite. I gave it a chance to get better, but I feel terrible bringing things back nearly half eaten so I just kept it. My fiancé ordered the egg and cheese on focaccia with bacon, but the bacon was missing. Since we didn't get a receipt we felt too bad saying anything, and the staff who helped us we think was new and wasn't the most interactive or approachable. The bread was also very small for focaccia, and after reading reviews about the bread being so delicious, he was excited to try it. It didn't feel like it was worth the price, and it was "fine" so he just ate and left. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great, so I'm not sure I'll be chomping at the bit to go back and will just stick to my usual places.

First time at Rewired cafe and I loved it! Went in for my morning coffee and asked about their butterfly lemonade. When my order was ready they gave me a free butterfly lemonade and said I just had to try it. YUM!! Thank you to the lovely staff for their kindness and thank you for helping me find my new favorite drink
