Really wild place, some of the craziest rocks you've ever seen.

Beautiful black sand beach, very windy and the waves are very high and can there are also sneaker waves. There is also a restaurant on site to grab a bite to eat and warm up!

The black sand beach is truly a magnificent sight during the winter with the snow landscape. The It’s not too crowded and the sun is gorgeous in the distance. There is a small dome caves on both sides of the cliff but they don’t connect. The mountainous scenery adds to the beauty.

A must-see in Iceland. This beach has a few amazing sights that are definitely worth a visit - the black sand, the imposing basalt columns and cave, the puffin colonies living there and if you are lucky, you may even see some whales frolicking at the beach. A memorable experience

Another must see attraction south of Iceland. Jagged rocks, ocean waves, black sand against a basalt formation....bring out your cameras! Hold onto your hats and squint while approaching the rock formations, the sand gets in your eyes very easily on windy days. Be careful not to climb too high. Gorgeous scene.

One of the most deadly beach in the world. Black sand, powerful waves and wind. We found a sunny day and we enjoyed the beach.

Insane beach. The views are amazing, feels otherworldly. We went when it was pretty windy so we were lucky enough to go onto the beach but with caution.

We visited here while staying in VIk while driving around the island. It's one of Iceland's most famous attractions and is located on the South Coast and features a long beach and is known for its volcanic ash and dark rocks. It's a cool sight to see and walk along the beach. It has basalt sea stacks that are a cool sight to see.

Cool spot, but VERY touristy and crowded. Caution signs up, but 95% of people seemed to ignore them. Coffee shop & WC, but line too long. Paid parking, but not clear on how to pay. Beach was awesome with varied sized black pebbles and cool rock features & basalt columns. Would like to return early am or pm when less crowded & no buses/tours.
