Saint-Felicien cheese was incredible. Sabodet sausage was out of season sadly, other saucisson sec was delicious alternative.

Nous sommes allés à Lyon pour déguster l’ Oreiller de La Belle Aurore. Nous nous sommes régalés. L’accueil à la boutique était parfait.

Ahhh Reynon... we still dream about this place. Lyon is famous for its charcuterie, a dizzying array of intricately processed meats which show off the ingenuity of chefs before refrigeration. I can't even tell you what we had- pâtés, terrines, sliced meats, cheeses, cold casseroles... my goodness. We spent well over $50 in preparation for an hour long train ride "picnic". It was so, so worth it. The ladies who run the shop are quite friendly and at least a couple of them speak English. But if all else fails, pointing works. Not to be missed! Seriously...

We purchased a bunch of dishes, baguette, beer and sat on a bench around the corner and it was the best meal I had in France. Honestly, I don't even know what some of the dishes were called, but who cares. If you ever find yourself in this magical city make sure you go there. It is simply espectacular.
