"The steakhouse heads to the French Quarter at Rey’s, where traditional offerings like steak, salads, and seafood get a New Orleans treatment. Think shrimp Orleans, chicken and sausage gumbo, and grouper Lafayette. There are ribeyes, filets, and beef tournedos topped with a choice of grilled shrimp, fried oysters, or scallops. For a true Big Easy meal order the classic New Orleans turtle soup." - Matt Lardie

We went for a birthday celebration and it was our first visit. Our waiter was exceptional and very personable with our party of 8. Sometimes that makes all the difference. He gave great suggestions that didn't disappoint. The food was great for the most part. Some items needed a dab of salt and pepper but nothing crazy. We ordered a variety of items so we could all taste lots of menu items. We ended with the bananas foster and it was amazing.

Went for our 30th anniversary. They made sure some flowers I had brought by earlier where put on the table and they included a nice handwritten card for us. We got the 10oz filet, au gratin potatoes, crab cake appetizer, cheesecake and the awesome Bananas Foster. The bread they brought out first was super good and soft and the butter was easily spreadable. Everything was great, steak was perfect, crab cakes melted in our mouths, cheesecake was so decadent and thick, and the preparation of the Bananas Foster at the table was too cool. Atmosphere was very nice for a special occasion and service was great. Highly recommend.

Took my wife and her friend here for Mother's Day and had an AMAZING experience thanks to Jasmine, Kelly, and Reagan. They all worked super hard to make sure we had an amazing evening and had some special requests handled that I requested beforehand. I love this place and chose it SPECIFICALLY because I remember receiving incredible service 10 years ago when the wife and I went the first time and let me tell you now, NOTHING has changed. The staff still does an incredible job taking care of their customers and I can't wait until we have a special occasion to go back!! Thanks so much to everyone who helped make our night a hit!!

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service was outstanding. The food was very mediocre. Probably the worst steak I have ever eaten at a restaurant. I had flashbacks to the steak my mother used to make as a kid that I would chew and chew until all the moisture was sucked out of my mouth and I would want to spit it out. We started with the summer salad, which was described as " peaches, watermelon, tomato, cucumber, onion, goat cheese and bacon". What we were served was a salad of nectarines and beets with a few tomatoes, one tiny piece of cucumber and a side wedge of watermelon. Luckily, I like beets. But a third of this salad was beets. So, the oversight of mentioning a key ingredient leads me to believe that this salad doesn't normally include beets. Or nectarines. And we were served a cobbled together salad of what was in the kitchen. I don't know much about steak cuts. I had a choice of 10 ounce filet, 16 ounces ribeye or 16 ounces New York strip all for $50. I asked the waiter for the most marbled, juiciest cut. What came out was perfectly cooked. But it was sirloin. I know enough to see that there was not an iota of fat in that steak. It was pure red. So even cooked medium rare, it was impossible to cut (I hurt my wrist trying to cut it up), unpleasant to chew, and altogether incredibly disappointing. The staff tried to make it right. I give them credit. But I didn't want a new steak. It seems to me, that the kitchen staff felt that this was an appropriate steak to put out to the consumer. And, as such, the restaurant should be judged on what they served. And I didn't want a biased review. My friend ordered the salmon and said it was "fine". She wouldn't go out of her way to return just to eat the salmon. I would go out of my way to avoid returning.

Google
Absolutely EXCELLENT! Adrian was amazing! Best expresso martini I've ever had! He was extremely attentive and made great suggestions. This was our first time dinning at Rey's and we came from out of town. We will be back! Thank you Adrian for making our experience a special one.

Google
A great steakhouse with other selections available just as succulent. Their quality, presentation, and preparation is consistent. Best format setting for gatherings and private dinners for guests in small rooms up to 30 people at very reasonable prices to choose from. Ample parking with valet. Friendly and cordial staff. Highly recommended

Took my wife here for our anniversary. The experience did not disappoint. Our server was amazing. Portions where decent. We also found our new favorite desert. The banana Foster was made tableside and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for an amazing experience

Google
We had a great experience. The steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was fantastic, we had the creme brulee and bread pudding. Bread before the meal was great too. Crab cakes appetizer had so much lump crab meat. The service was phenomenal, had great conversation and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. Drinks were made well and delicious.

Yelp
Didn't have much expectations but the food and service blew my mind! I liked how the rooms were partitioned so dining experience was intimate and cozy. This also brings the acoustics down so it is great! Mr. Rey himself stopped by to check on us 2x. Food was good, really good. The fried oysters are a must for appetizer. I got the grouper and others got pork chops. We have to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Celebrated the 64th birthday of my coworker and she was excited to visit Rey's after hearing such rave reviews. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were told they don't open til 5pm but people were entering and being seated around 4:45pm. We had a private dining area since there were 14 of us. The room was nice but it was extremely hot in there. Staff turned on the air and it would fluctuate between hot and cold. Our server was very nice and energetic I forgot her name but she was very good. For me personally they don't offer enough appetizers that are not seafood based. I am allergic to shellfish so it was disappointing to see only two options were not seafood inspired. I ordered a Caesar salad, it was very basic to say the least. I wish they offered chicken or salmon to go on top of it. For my main course I ordered the French quarter chicken and a side of macaroni and cheese. The chicken was just ok. I was expecting the cheese to be oozing out of it but it wasn't. The Mac and cheese was good. It had a little kick because it's made with pimento cheese. We didn't order dessert because we brought our own but overall it was a great first time.

Yelp
I made reservations at Rey's for my birthday, which fell on a Tuesday this year. I wasn't expecting much of a crowd, but the place was surprisingly busy. As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us warmly and seated us right away. She placed our menus in front of us and even gave me a birthday card, which was a nice touch. Our server came over, asked if it was our first time, and inquired about who was celebrating a birthday. After wishing me a happy birthday, he went over the day's specials and explained that the menu was à la carte. I ordered a lemon drop martini for my drink, and for my entrée, I chose the grouper. For the table, we ordered the lobster mac and cheese, greens, and mashed sweet potatoes. They also brought some bread, which was absolutely delicious. The food was excellent--flavorful without being too heavy, so I didn't feel overly stuffed. Since it was my birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert, and I chose the crème brûlée, which was also very good. I loved the ambiance of the place, and at one point, either a manager or one of the owners came by to check on us, which showed great attention to detail. All the employees seemed to work well together, creating a cohesive experience. The vibe was perfect for a family outing, date night, or a girls' night. I would definitely return!

Yelp
We came here for my boyfriend's birthday and it was so good! I ordered the chicken and it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The drinks were delicious and the service was impeccable! I can't wait to go back and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Yelp
I took my wife and daughter for Mother's Day, we were looking for an event restaurant at the same time as avoiding UNC, Duke and NC State graduation. A friend recommended Rey's and we were quite happy. Coincidentally we were in New Orleans a few weeks ago, we didn't book Rey's because of its New Orleans style, but we definitely felt it when we were there. I was impressed with the breadth of the menu, very challenging deciding what to order with many great options both as starters, salads and main courses. I ended up starting with the carpaccio, which had a lot of flavor outside the beef, as you sometimes just get nice meat but this was a more complete dish. I particularly liked the accompanying greens, they had quite a nice dressing. I ordered a ribeye medium rare as my main, it was also cooked perfectly and a nice steak. I added soft onions and although they were not world changing. I also found the sides simply okay. The better was the creamed spinach, which was nice but not the creamiest I have had. I did not particularly enjoy the asparagus, thin asparagus, nothing special. For dessert, we shared bananas foster, largely for the presentation and it lived up to it. Our waiter did a great job, the bananas tasted good, and they were nice enough to split it into three servings, each with sufficient ice cream. Service was very professional. Overall ambience was among the most formal I have experienced in the Triangle (very similar to Ruth Chris, not coincidentally also with NO roots), you didn't need a jacket but you would not be out of place without it. Overall, an excellent event restaurant.

Yelp
Went to raise for the first time tonight for our anniversary dinner. Our waitresses were Jasmine and Monique and they were phenomenal. The dinner was superb. Everything was awesome. Loved it old school decor, but who cares when the food is that good!!!

Arlene L.

Yelp
Good food and nice servers but pretty slow service. We did have a big group but dinner took about 3.5 hours start to finish. Bananas foster was done table side, super fun!

William D H.

Yelp
Disaster. Dinner with co-workers on a business trip. Recommended by the hotel. 3 of us. I ordered the flounder and asked for tartar sauce, when I ordered. Meals came out, no tartar sauce. I reminded the server and she said she'd get it. After my friends had finished their entrees, she cane back to say they don't have tartar sauce. My meal is now cold and my friends are finished! She offered to bring me something else and I said "no, they've finished!" She offered to take it off the bill and I told her it shouldn't be on the bill since I didn't get to eat it. The manager, as it turns out, is the owner's son. He finally came over and apologized. The bill arrived and the only thing removed was my entree. Didn't even comp my glass of wine! I complained further and they comped our drinks. What an untrained staff! Son of the owner obviously hasn't earned his management role. Told the hotel not to recommend this place any more. Understaffed and mismanaged! Training is in order. Don't bill yourself as high-end when your staff is diner level.

Yelp
We have been treating ourselves to Rey's for special occasions over the past four years. Historically, it has been a wonderful experience. This year, it was very disappointing. We went on November 13th (a Wednesday). The service was adequate (although not up to previous standards) but the steaks were not. The portions were small and my husband had to send his steak back because it was not cooked as requested. We have a special standing order of onion rings; in previous years these have been large glorious onion rings lightly coated with panko crumbs. This year, the onion rings were heavily oiled and coated with bread crumbs which fell off as we bit into the rings. What used to be a very special night turned out to be an ordinary and very expensive night. Very very disappointing. I have reached out twice via their email without getting a response.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant right after landing in North Carolina and we were so hungry and I'm so glad we picked this restaurant because the food was awesome. We sat in the bar area which had wonderful ambience. We had the Aji tuna appetizer and let me tell you the wasabi that came with. It was the strongest wasabi I've ever tasted in my life. The garlic mashed potatoes were life-changing and I really enjoyed the sautéed spinach and my steak. We enjoyed the lamb chops because they weren't too gamey. The crab appetizer has a good amount of crab and is a favorite of my father who is a regular at this restaurant. Would definitely come back!

Todd M.

Yelp
One of my top few restaurants in the Triangle. The food, service, atmosphere, and owner Rey are all top notch. Not only is the steak amazing, the seafood is too. I LOVE the Grouper Lafayette, scallops, fried oysters, crab meat cocktail, and much more.

Ymari R.

Yelp
The food is mediocre. They claim to be New Orleans-inspired, but after a food tour there this fall, I think Rey needs to book a trip himself. Everything *looks* good, but they're charging $20 for a kid's pizza boat--the same kind we had in grade school. The steaks, ordered medium and medium-well, came out well-done. Also pictured is the questionable crab meat in my flounder, which I couldn't finish. The à la carte sides lack flavor, though the chicken piccata is a bright spot with great taste and a generous portion. On a positive note, the service was excellent throughout.

Allan A.

Yelp
It's been over four years since my last visit. Ironically, after my visit tonight, I read my last review, and I ordered the same items. The service is attentive, and 3 different folks handled our table. The chicken marsala is nicely cooked. I found the filet to get decent but not exceptional. Very heavy on the pepper. The ambiance is upscale. Last visit men were in sports coats. This visit not so much. Great place to go for a special event outing.

Ana V.

Yelp
Ambiance was nice, food was good and service was great. Our waitress kristine really helped make our anniversary special.

Lynerd T.

Yelp
All I can say is wow! This is the perfect date/anniversary spot in the triangle! Not only that id dare say it boasts the best steak around as well! Let's talk more about that.... The filet and strip were cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned by gifted hands. The crust that was on the steak and filet was world class. Our table host was on his A game as well. Whatever we needed he provided and he made one of the best mixed drinks I've ever had. I will be back here within a month so. I can't stay away at this point! Stop reading and go!

Diane W.

Yelp
What a special place! The service and food is outstanding, and the ambiance and decor is classy. A wonderful restaurant for special occasions or to spoil yourself.

Mindy D.

Yelp
The food was good, solid place nothing spectacular. There are many servers in the restaurant yet the service was slow.

Diane F.

Yelp
My husband and I went there for date night just because it was Thursday. Our server JT was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He was thorough when going over the food choices, friendly, attentive and courteous. He helped to make our time at Rey's incredibly memorable. The appetizer(broiled scallops were delicious). Our entrees of ribeye were cooked as ordered (well done for me and perfectly medium rare for my husband). The lobster mac and cheese was superb as well as the cream corn. I got some of that to take home. The banana foster presentation was amazing and tasted the same (and I don't even care for bananas. We will definitely be returning we had such a great time. Thank you JT AND SUPPORTING TEAM MEMBERS!

Ash B.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent. This restaurant has a very romantic and comfortable ambiance. The food was pretty good . We ordered the filet , French quarter chicken and potatoes lyonnaise. Not the best steak I've had but it was good . Overall 8/10 from us :)

Roger K.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gym that most of us have driven past and I wouldn't do that again. Do yourself a solid, and make sure you stop next time. This place is an upscale New Orleans food cuisine restaurant featuring some of the highest quality food in the city. We used to be an old Ruth Chris is now a local ownedNew Orleans steakhouse that you should consider giving a try. Great service by Matt and amazing food.

Juan Q.

Yelp
The service was great but the food was well below average for such a high price. Other steakhouses like Sullivan and Ruth Chris do a much better job. All four steaks came cooked wrong and the sides could be much better. It was a disappointment...

Nguyen P.

Yelp
We arrived in Cary today and wanted to have a quality and filling dinner after a long day of travel. Someone in our group suggested Rey's and it was the right call. When you first arrive it looks more like an old fashioned house from the south, but the sign in front lets you know that you are at the right place. We were able to get a table without a reservation, which we were grateful to get. Our server was one of the funniest and helpful guys I've ever run into. Excellent suggestions and friendly in all the right ways. We all decided to take his recommendation of the prime ribeye with the Oscar add on. I had mines medium rare + and it was really good: juicy and full of flavor. The creamed spinach was also really good. I decided to take it easy on the drinks so I hade one of their mocktails, which I enjoyed. To top it off our server ended our meal with the flambéed banana ice cream dessert that was the best ending to a meal we could ever expect (give this man a raise). Our whole meal with excellent and we were thoroughly entertained. I would not hesitate to recommend Rey's to anyone thinking about a nice entertaining dinner.

Maisha R.

Yelp
Service was amazing. JT was a great server. All of the staff was pleasant. We started with an appetizer trio calamari, shrimp New Orleans and crab cakes. All tasty bites. For entrees my husband ordered surf and turf, lobster and a filet. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I had the flounder. It was ok. Lacked something. A crunch, a flavor...something. I'd definitely order something different next time. For the sides we had lobster Mac and cheese and sautéed spinach. Spinach was wonderful-not too oily or salty. The Mac n cheese----nahhh. Essentially it was corkscrew pasta with a top layer of cheese and a bit of lobster. We concluded with the bread pudding. Though not as warm as I'd prefer it was tasty as was the ice cream on top. Overall it was a nice experience.

PJ B.

Yelp
"Hurry up!" Thats what we thought every time the staff members would wander around our area documenting where we and other diners were in our meals. Constantly the staff looking and documenting, even on an iPad as one looked to see status of the diners. This went on ever 3-5 mins our entire meal! Other tables noticed as well as we joked, "here they come again." Highly irritating! We started with scallops as we sipped a very good Old Fashioned and Dirty Martini. Bread on the table was tasty as well. We had a Caesar and Chopped Salad both were good but the crispy onions on the Chopped Salad had become a little too soft because based on the temperature of the salad and very cold plate, it may have spent too much time in the refrigerator waiting for someone to order it. We had lamb chops which were average/good and a Strip which was fantastic. Our sides included sautéed spinach and lobster mac'n cheese, very good. Dessert was a fantastic flourless chocolate cake, which went great with our Red Wine. The atmosphere was old school steakhouse and clean. Our server was prompt, attentive, happy and enhanced our dining experience. Unfortunately based on the very uncomfortable constant pressure by the staff roaming around, we will not be back.

George J.

Yelp
Dined in this establishment for my sisters birthday at first everything was great at the start but at the finish it was hectic. The waiter was horrible, he got everyone orders mixed up and paid for on the wrong debit cards and wanted to charge them a second time on the correct cards. The owner is trash as well he's hostile, has an aggressive tone and demeanor when he supposedly came out to fix everything he made the situation worst with the way he was speaking to everyone like we were kids. Definitely won't be returning. And somehow we just didn't get the good energy everyone else around us was getting.

Quaniqua B.

Yelp
Restaurant was empty and it took a while for food to come out ! Waitress was getting order tickets mixed up switching cards paying for the wrong meals. When the owner was called to the situation he told the waitress to shut up. Then proceeded to call one of my family members crazy because the waitress got his card switched up and wanted a cash refund before he swiped his card again. Then you had other waitresses coming out putting their input in a situation that they had nothing to do with nor knew what was going on. I don't recommend you eating here if you don't want them swiping your card more than once or getting called out your name for them making a mistake with a transaction

Shedrick D.

Yelp
This place was everything it advertised to be. The food was amazing, but lacked flavor ! I seasoned my steak and scallops with table side salt and pepper then it was perfect . For the price I should t have to do that. My wife ordered the pan seared grouper and it was excellent . Ambience was perfect until there was a loud obnoxious person going singing happy birthday to costumers wand it was obvious he was very intoxicated. Come to find out it was the owner! I thought that dropped it from 5.5 stars to 2 stars. I'm having a quiet romantic dinner with my wife and a drunk person running around to all tables . Not a good look. But I guess if u own the place you can do as u please. Oh and 1 more thing , they pack your food up for you and we get back to hotel later and decided on late night snack and unpack food to see no Togo utensils !!! Ticked off

John P.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant with great food. The service makes you feel special. A great place to celebrate any life event.

Dermot C.

Yelp
Great steakhouse in the local Cary area. So much fun. The staff was amazing. Food was outstanding and Kelly went above and beyond to take care of our group. She was awesome.

Brian B.

Yelp
Highly recommend. The food was outstanding. Atmosphere was awesome. Our server Kelly was amazing and truly made the entire dinner in the Uptown Room awesome. Thank you.

Falan E.

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my sister's 32nd birthday last night. Our server was Diana. Diana was nice enough and pleasant. She was pretty attentive initially, but the restaurant started getting busy, and it was harder to get her attention, which is fine she finally came around. Overall, good service. We sat in the Voodoo Lounge, which accommodated our large and loud party of seven. My entree (pictured) was delicious--steak and scallops with garlic mash potatoes. The sides are sharable. The crab cakes (not pictured) in the trio seafood appetizer tasted like imitation crab meat and like someone sprinkled them with sugar. The calamari and scallops on the appetizer were delicious and a hit at the table. We all enjoyed it! There were raised eyebrows from everyone at the table when the tickets arrived with a handwritten tip. I understand gratuity is automatic for large groups, but I would expect the normal practice, which is suggested tier level tips 10, 15, 20%. It's a bit tacky for a nice restaurant like this to write in tips. We all felt this way! We are seven cultured and professional adults mid to late 30s and early 40s with jobs who are accustomed to tipping well when good service and food is provided. If this is normal practice, it should be changed. It takes away from experience. What if we wanted to tip more or less?! I was okay with the 20%, but a few said they might tip more had this not been written in. The tip in writing made me feel like Rey's selectively put this tip in writing to ensure a tip is given as if they thought we weren't going to tip. This decreased my rating from 4 stars to three. I have never seen this done in my entire life of dining out. Leave it up to the customer to input the tips.

Mike S.

Yelp
Great food, awesome service relaxed atmosphere. I had the lamb chops the wife had the veal Marsala, both were well worth the coin.

Steve B.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Poor service and steak was tasteless. Sat for 15 minutes before ordering beverages while server waited on other nearby tables with no acknowledgment. The restaurant was highly recommended but unfortunately the food lacked taste and quality.

Ranelle M.

Yelp
Family funeral reception dinner went well & we were served graciously and professionally. The reserved room and courtyard was comfortable and pleasant with the fire pits and wicker chairs. The waiters graciously brought some of the chairs from the inside to the outside patio because the weather was so nice.

Randy W.

Yelp
Decided to celebrate our anniversary @ Rey's since we had never been here. Plenty of easy parking. Had a reservation and was seated immediately. Decor is clean with wood and mirrors, medium lite. Each table has a wax candle lite. Was greeted at our table promptly with water and then our server Jill checked in with us for any additional drink orders. At the same time I requested appetizer of calamari be started. Our drinks and assortment of breads and butter arrived in an appropriate time. I had a couple question regarding menu items and Jill was able to offer answers and opinion. I decided to start with Turtle Soup which I've never had before. My wife ordered a lobster tail and side of asparagus. I ordered Grouper Lafayette and side of sauteed spinach. We thought food potions were very good size. Our entire meal was great and service was just right. No hurrying, just enough visits by staff including table clearing. Plan on visiting again.

Erica B.

Yelp
I was shocked at how disappointed I was in this place. We've been to some other "fancy" steakhouses in the area, and have been wowed by the food & service. I'll break it down here: Service- it was fair. We had a party of 8, and it wasn't super busy. We got a round of drinks initially but we had to hunt down our staff for more. Water was refilled but no one asked for more items. Drinks- they were ok. Wine list was really small and not a lot of high end wine options. Mixed drinks were weak and super sweet, I got a smoked old fashioned and it was soo sweet. Food- so disappointing. Steaks were tough and over cooked. Lamb was really fatty and tough and no flavor. Everything on the side was under seasoned. Mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box. Live music- this was 5 stars. Don't know the guy but he was the best thing about this meal. I wouldn't drive all the way out for this ever - and even if it was a free meal, I'd decline.

April B.

Yelp
Food was very good. Service was a bit slower but it was good. Our waiter just seemed very busy with a heavy load of customers, but tried to be attentive as best as he could. The ambiance is more upscale. We all had a little bit of something different-salads, steaks, seafood and deserts. We ordered the bananas foster, which is quite a treat with them cooking by your table. It's a pricier than we would do on a regular night out to eat, but it was a nice place to celebrate a special occasion for us.

Beci M.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of enjoying a scrumptious dinner at Rey's in Cary for a pre-selected menu group dinner. I enjoyed the house signature Pama Martini, my friend had a Grey Goose Dirty Martini. Both were excellent. Our server Adrian was so attentive, personable, and on the ball the entire evening. Loved him!! The food was top tier, as always. Rey himself stopped by our table to check on our group. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and so tender. The flavor was melt-in-your-mouth. Creamed corn that tasted like it had been cut off the cob that afternoon it was so fresh. The salads were crisp. The desserts were incredible. Not one thing I would change.

William C.

Yelp
Consider a dress code, at least a collared shirt, no shorts and no ball caps. Our last visit left us wondering if policies had been relaxed. Judging by the bill, they had not.

Tanmay K.

Yelp
The food was really awesome. It was our 1st time visiting Rey's the people were really nice. Ambience was really good for date,

Chris M.

Yelp
I'm going to start with this steakhouse is highly recommended!! The food was delicious and exceeded expectations! The service was outstanding. Scott was our waiter he was kind attentive and very informative! It has an old school ambiance however it doesn't disappoint! I had the chicken and sausage gumbo! It was delicious I had a NY strip it was dang at the dinner table and even better the next day as leftovers! Crème brûlée is one of my favorite desserts, and they knocked it right out of the park! the very best crème brûlée, the toppings, which were, blueberries, and strawberries were fantastic. Oh and a plus was they gave me a a free cheesecake for my birthday!! I will be back!

Onvara A.

Yelp
The two of us were feeling a fancier dinner one night and decided on Rey's! We opted for takeout because of the pandemic, but I do feel like we missed out on what would've been a nice fine dining ambiance and experience, and so I'll have to come back at a later date. The food was good, but definitely pricey for the amount you get. The N'awlins Crab Cake appetizer was full of delicious lump crabmeat, but cost $16 for a few pieces. The Veal Marsala was alright, but probably the biggest letdown in terms of flavor . However, they were definitely generous with the amount of veal they gave. The Scottish Salmon was topped with a strawberry, papaya, mango and cilantro tapenade and was really good! Definitely leave room for dessert at Rey's! The Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake was mind-blowing and was hands-down the best part of the meal.

Brian T.

Yelp
Delicious steak dinner every time. The service is always on point!. Classic steakhouse with a very good menu and variety of items!!

Lisa M.

Yelp
I had my first opportunity to try Rey's Restaurant for a holiday dinner with coworkers. I was impressed as soon as we arrived. The parking lot was full, but free valet parking was available. A coat check was also conveniently available at the entrance. Our party was accommodated at a large table. Sometimes we needed to remind the server of a drink order, but it was a busy night and the service was friendly. The decor was traditional and classy. The food was all very delicious. I would return for a special occasion meal or date night.

Beverly F.

Yelp
We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary here tonight and I have to say that we were so impressed with the service!!! From the hostesses wishing us a happy anniversary to our waitress Christy---the service was spendid!! The drinks were fantastic! (Ecstasy Martini and Pama---ON POINT!!) We had crabcakes as our appetizer. They were excellent! More crab than cake-- just the way we love them. Our entrées came out shortly after. The stuffed flounder with crabmeat was superb! Hubbys ribeye was tender and juicy. Everything had FLAVA! We ended our evening of being gushy lovebirds with French pressed coffee and mango and lemon sorbet topped with fresh berries. Simple yet yummy deliciousness! The service at Reys is top knotch, and the food was an excellent take on New Orleans inspired cuisine. We shall be back....

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Wow! My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner! It was delish!! Let me just start with the customer service! Bob was our server and he was so on point with everything! Laughing and talking with us! It was great! Even the food runners were super polite and very nice and friendly! The complimentary bread was also delish! Yummy! Let's start with the fried oysters, OMG! They came on top of Lima beans and corn with a spicy sauce which was so damn good! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!! My husband got the chicken piccata which was absolutely delish! Just perfect he said! I did taste it also and it was good! My favorite, the rack of lamb! I got it medium well but it came out more to be on the medium rare side. So Bob offered to bring me a hot plate. I had no idea what a hot plate was but I was like sure! He brought me a hot plate and I cooked the rest of my lamb on it! And it was just perfect! It was so yummy! I didn't like the mint sauce that came with but the lamb was good! The lobster Mac! OMG! PERFECTION!! So delicious and yummy! We got it as a side which we both shared! And we topped it off, we got a complimentary anniversary dessert! Creme brûlée! Omg! Minus the fruit on top, it was so so so good!! We are definitely coming back here!! From the service to the food! Absolutely a win!!

Yelp
Had never been to Rey's before but was invited for a work function. Menu items were pre-selected and I was a bit concerned about the lack of vegetarian grub. Rey's had me covered. Delicious grub, great wine, and fantastic service. Even got to meet the man himself. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My birthday dinner was spectacular. We ordered Beef Carpaccio to start...it was sliced so perfectly thin, and absolutely melted in your mouth. For our Entrees, we had an aged bone-in Ribeye, Stuffed Flounder and Veal Marsala. The steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and was nicely marbled. The flounder was delectable and so fresh; the crabmeat stuffing was a sweet blue crab. The Veal Marsala was so tender and could be cut with a fork, and the Marsala sauce was the best I have tasted. For dessert we ordered crème brûlées (our favorites), they were scrumptious! The Vanilla beans were evident in the creamy custard, and the sugary crust was perfect. The service was impeccable....extremely attentive and professional without being intrusive. Rey's is our "go-to" place when we want an excellent meal, ambience and service. I wish I could rate it 10 stars!

Yelp
So in all fairness, I would give this place a 3.5 bc it was slightly above average in my opinion. We had a reservation at 7:30 this evening and was pleasantly surprised when they were able to seat myself and friend a little over 30 minutes prior to our scheduled time. The space was nice. Our server Paul, was ok. The bottle of moscato that we ordered was good. I ordered the shrimp bisque and that was really good! Both my friend and I ordered 10oz filet and honestly, it was just ok. I ordered it medium and it came out a little over done for me. It was disappointing that it was t served with any au ju. For sides, the au gratin potatoes and green beans with almonds, neither of which did much for me. I felt like the potato's were flavorless and the beans were very greasy. The bread pudding that was ordered for dessert certainly ended the meal on a high note-it was sooooooo good! This was not my favorite steakhouse or my least favorite, but I won't be in any rush to return. I thought the pricing for the quality was too high as well.
