They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor has fire pits at every table and was beautiful even on a cold day. Kept us plenty warm. Drinks were good had the drip coffee martini and mulled wine. Ghoulash was super comforting and great flavor with tender meat. The Munich with the polish dog was my favorite! We also had the Seattle dog with a beef frankenfurter which was also good but would pick the Munich over the Seattle personally. Fries are very good. The poutine was good. Husband prefers breaded cheese curds and it was just cubed soft cheese but still had good flavor. Great views. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you.

This place is the BEST!! Seriously- the food is amazing!!! We started with the pretzel-cuterie board (photo for that after we had already eaten some because someone couldn’t wait to dive in! lol) then we had the poutine and “the Munich with the rein brat”. OMG. Delicious!!! Sat outside, it was raining and cold- but stayed dried under the umbrella and warm by the tabletop fire. Amazing!!! Best meal ever- can’t wait to return!!

We tried a handful of pretzels in Leavenworth but Rhein Haus had my favs!! Nice chewy texture and awesome options like the cinnamon sugar pretzel, had to do the pairing of sweet and classic - so delicious. The views were also great, such a nice spot to relax for a bit.

I walked from my hotel to have dinner at this German beer hall and found average food. I reviewed the menu and ordered pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes, red cabbage and no gravy. I listened to the live music and received my order in about twenty minutes without any problems. The menu includes pretzels, currywurst, burgers, lamb doner, sandwiches, and house made sausage (wurst) The schnitzel was was a little dry and the breading was bland. The mashed potatoes were creamy with good taste. The red cabbage was not overcooked and had good taste. You will find a large selection of beer, craft cocktails, wine, and a large outdoor patio. Located on Front Street with the entrance on the highway -US 2 in Leavenworth. One of those places that was a little disappointing with the food, but it has a lively beer hall vibe with friendly service, a menu with a number of options, and live local music on Thursdays.

The staff were super friendly and the outdoor seating was very nice with the warm fires. The food was decent, but a bit pricey for what it was. The gluwein was a bit on the savory side.

The German wurst hotdogs were excellent, though I wish they came with a bit more sauce. The sauces were available at each table, but it would’ve been better if they had a house made sauce. We tried the Seattle Dog, Munich Dog, the Classic, and three kinds of pretzels. All were delicious. I’ll definitely be returning. The indoor seating with AC is great for families, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. One bathroom outside available as well. Rhein Haus is a chain restaurant, so I have had their food before. Food is not the best, most authentic, or that great… But the atmosphere is pretty fun. I would stick to something basic like a pretzel (get the giant pretzel!) We also sampled the fish and chips, bacon, burger, and the falafel. All of them were pretty basic. before ordering I had someone at the table next to us lean over and tell us not to get anything authentic. I don’t know what she ordered, but I chose to trust her and her German accent. We were seated in the outdoor area where we soaked up amazing views. We ordered at the bar. Service was minimal. But I did ask a few (different) workers for favors: extra sauce, napkins. It was no problem. Employees were helpful + friendly. We will definitely be back. We stopped on our way home for a pretzel to go. 😎 We got another big pretzel + the cinnamon caramel pretzel, which was again, basic but satisfying!

The service was great. Very fast and friendly! The atmosphere is hard to beat as well. But the food… oof. We have had Schnitzel at 5 different places during our stay at Leavenworth and this was by and far the absolute worst. Dry, stale, flavorless, and presumably reheated rather than made fresh (because it came out in 5 min). It resembled an XL chicken nugget you cook from freezer to oven for your kids, and had very little “jager gravy” that we paid $3 extra for. Can’t speak too much else on the menu, but we will be back again I imagine. If you’re looking for good, fresh, authentic German food.. look elsewhere! (Like, anywhere else in that Bavarian district)

Rhein house offers a pretty casual atmosphere with inside and outside seating and tasty food and drink options. Five of us dined here for a week night in June, and we were able to be seated pretty quickly. We tried to sit outside at first, but it was still pretty warm, so we asked to be moved inside. The sausages and brats here are pretty big. I would say twice the size of a normal brat. Enough to share. Pretty good sides, too, but be prepared to pay a premium price, as expected.

Perfect low key spot for a bite and a beer. Great outdoor seating (dogs welcome) , easy indoor diniing. Once you decide, walk up to the bar and place your order. Friendly, casual staff, food comes out quick. Tip: The regular pretzel is better than the giant which is thick and doughy. Loved the simple green salad! Caesar was a bit dull. Fantastic fries! Great for dipping in the pretzel cheese sauce.

I don't like righting negative reviews and we used to like coming here but the food was just seriously lacking. Everything was burnt. Bacon was burnt, my son's corndogs were burnt (he wouldn't eat the breading cuz it was not tasty and too hard/crisp), the fries were borderline burnt. "Upgraded" our fries to their cheesy frites but the cheese dried out in minutes, no flavor, and burned bacon on top. Pretzel and beer cheese as well as the pear salad were the highlight for me. Points on friendly and accommodating staff and we do like the draft/drink menu as well as the covered patio.

I don't know why the reviews are so low on this place! This is a go-to stop for me whenever I'm in Leavenworth. I absolutely love their pretzels -- truly some of the best in town! Service is quick and they have such a good variety of drinks that are all tasty, they truly embody the Leavenworth vibes.

Have been coming to this place since past few years. Never disappoints, but be prepared for long wait times and huge lines on a weekend. Must try is are their beers and this huge pretzel

Rating: 3.5 We were initially drawn to this restaurant because of the outside seating area with a great view of Leavenworth. We really enjoyed the fire pit at each table since it was cool outside and overall, Rhein Haus had a very nice dining atmosphere. We got the haus baked pretzel and brussel sprouts as appetizers. The haus pretzel was good but pretty standard. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts as they weren't super greasy and were surprisingly tender for being fried. My favorite item was the reuben sandwich. It had a good amount of meat and the fries were simply delicious. Ask for the curry ketchup-- it's SO good with the fries. The beef frankfurter plate wasn't what I expected at all; I'm used to seeing frankfurters that are narrow and more lengthy than the sausage that I received; it appeared and tasted more like a regular beef hot dog which was disappointing since the plate only came with the sausage, sauerkraut, and side salad ($1 upgrade) for a total of $17-18. Overall, I would say to come here for the vibes/view. I would get the reuben again but would skip the frankfurter plate.

Ask for a tasting. This is the first place we ate while in Leavenworth. At the advice of the esteemed Jason V. We ordered the habanero cheddarwurst on a bun; and while delicious, we found that there was only one thing worth fighting with your spouse over and that's the schnitzel sandwich. Dreams will be had and songs will be sung about this schnitzel sandwich, trust me. Worthy of note are the hazy IPA, Stout, and the salted pretzel with a side of fondue cheese. Jason V. Also recommends the spiced old fashioned and so do I! Easily in the top 3 best old fashioned drinks I have ever had. We returned to Rhein Haus for the second time in one day to have a pre-dinner cocktail and the old fashioned did not disappoint. It will not change your mind about whiskey if you're not already a fan. My partner had a sip and it almost melted his sinus cavity out of his face. To me, it was warm and inviting, the brown sugar infusion gives the drink a richness and depth that make every sip something to be savored. On our first trip, we sat outside for dinner. The tables have fire lit centerpieces for warmth and ambiance that seem to be very popular in Leavenworth. We had a lovely view of the town and watched the horse drawn carriages picking up and dropping off their passengers. Our second trip was late in the evening (around dinner time) while we waited for our reservation at another restaurant. We sat inside where it was warm and cozy. Much less spacious than the outdoor seating area, and we sat much closer to our neighbors this time. Next time, I would opt for sitting outdoors.

I had the best cheese fries ever from Rhein Haus! We also got their Grillwurst Schmankerl for sharing and the sausages were really great too! Service is fast and the ambiance is casual. I will always stop by here whenever I'm in Leavenworth just for the cheese fries.

This place has ZERO customer service. When you eat inside, you have to go to the bar to order. The lady handed me back the point of sale system and pushed 20% tip "for me." That's what I usually tip so I didn't think much of it. We received ZERO service. No refills on drinks, no refills on water, no table clearing and no to go boxes. We had to go to the bar each time we needed water, a lemon, a straw etc. they purposely don't make eye contact with you and you do all of your own work. I don't mind that but then DO NOT ASK FOR A TIP let alone punch in the tip for the guest when you hand them back the card reader. Will never come here again!

Not particularly authentic, but pretty typical of faux-Bavarian Leavenworth. I would rate the food as average overall - certainly nothing memorable. The venue is super nice, though, with some outdoor seats that overlook the downtown street, and we enjoyed the singer-guitarist who was covering folk and light rock tunes. The service is minimal by design, and you should try not to make the mistake we made when paying. First, you pay in advance. Second, the system pushes you to tip at a high full-service rate. We pressed buttons too quickly and ended up over tipping. From a food perspective, there aren't a whole lot of better, more authentic alternatives in touristy Leavenworth, and we will probably be back. Again, we liked the setting, and the beer was fine.

Be prepared to wait in a line. They do not take reservations. We waited for about 40 mins for a table for 5, which for how long the line was when we joined, wasn't too bad in my opinion. We sat outside, which was fun because there's a fire on the tabletop. As other spots in Leavenworth, it's a walk up to order type of situation. We ordered a pretzel for the table, I didn't care for the beer cheese. Though the variety of mustards were great! For dinner I got the Munich. It was very rich, but also excellent with some ground mustard on it. Food and drinks came fast. Paying was easy as we started a tab and then just had to close out. We technically have one of these close by in cap hill, but when in Leavenworth you have to get some brats! Staff was nice and helpful.

My oldest had been here earlier this year during a break while at WSU and he was excited to show us around! He caught the tab so I can't tell ya about none of that but the food and the beer and the whole atmosphere was just, great! It's so festive. We stood in line out on the sidewalk for a few minutes before we were seated but the weather was cool and everyone around seemed to be in a good mood so waiting wasn't even a thing. Their ordering system is top notch. They have table numbers with a QR code for the menu and when you're ready you go up to the counter and place your order, and then they bring it all to you! They can also light up the middle of the table if you're cold. There's different house mustards on the table - highly recommend the sweet hot myself, but the rest of the fam enjoyed the stone ground We got the giant pretzel - didn't care for the beer cheese but the boys liked it. Everyone was a fan of the chocolate dip We also shared a platter of 6 different sausages that came with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, pickled purple cabbage (?) and pickle spears - all of it was tasty ... except the Beyond lol I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries and the Brussels Sprouts. Delicious!!

We came for an early dinner on a Saturday and still stood in line for a good while before being seated. The ambiance outside was pretty nice and cozy, especially with the table top fire pit at each table. We really enjoyed the cold passion fruit Haus radler. The food wasn't bad but the ambiance made up for it. The service was typical for a beer garden.

Great food and Leavenworth vibes! We waited about 20 minutes in the cold before getting a table, which are all long outdoor benches. When you're ready to order, you leave your table to talk to the person at the bar area. We dined here during the cold December weather and despite the outdoor seating, the table fires kept us warm. The Haus Pretzel is a classic and the Beef Goulash was a must-have to combat the cold. I could eat their pretzel rolls all day long!

Nice view and great drinks, but the food is just awful. The pretzels is decent enough, but the schnitzel and wings were just terrible. Both way over cooked borderline burnt. And the sauces both were just smothered in were awful. It's elevated cafeteria food at best. Definitely better food options in town. Come for the drinks and the view then move on....

We stopped here for some snacks before leaving for Seattle. We ordered chicken wings and pretzel with cheezy dip. I must say the chicken was piping hot and one of the best i ever had. Also, pretzel was super hot and yumm. The staff was very and nice and got our order within 10mins. Also the view of the mountains from this place beautiful. I would highly recommend this place.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service, and great outdoor atmosphere for our stop in Leavenworth on a hot summer afternoon!

We sat outside overlooking Main Street which was lovely! Ordered the kielbasa, haus pretzel, and a lemonade. The kielbasa with sauerkraut, fries, and pickle was delicious. The pretzel was a little disappointing, it seemed over baked. The pretzel dips were yummy though.

Food tasted good! I ordered the jalapeño and cheese wurst platter. My husband ordered the polish. Our food arrived within minutes. Super fast! You have to order at the counter yourself. Considering we arrived on the 24th of December at around noonish the wait outside wasn't too bad with our infant too. It would have been nice if there were Christmas songs on instead of alternative/rock music. Glad we tried this place. We've been to Leavenworth a few times, and didn't try it till today. Table next to us weren't happy with the famous pretzel ;said it was too small.

Delicious sausages and schnitzel! 6 of us had dinner here outside on the deck last Sunday night. It was wonderful sitting outside under the twilight hours. Only bad thing is that the restaurant closed at 7:30 that night. I can understand since employees do want to go home, but it would have been nice to just sit outside on a cool evening drinking beer and eating delicious food. My son ordered for us and ordered the 5 sausage platter that came with sauerkraut, pickled purple cabbage and very delicious mashed potatoes. The sausages were perfectly cooked. Nice, juicy and very delicious! The schnitzel was wonderful! Wish I could have had more room in my already full stomach to eat more! Tender perfectly fried cutlets of pork covered with a nice crispy breading with a delicious gravy on top of everything. Served with the pickled purple cabbage and very delicious mashed potatoes. My wife had the grilled chicken salad and thought it was delicious. Crisp lettuce covered with juicy grilled chicken. The Brussel sprouts were very yummy too! My daughter loved eating these! Deep fried Brussel sprouts are super delicious! The ginormous pretzel is exactly that!l, GINORMOUS! Very delicious with a most wonderful cheese sauce. Super nice place with a wonderful ambiance that's very casual and comfortable to sit through the evening. The service staff is very friendly and helpful! We will be back to spend more time here!! Wonderful place!!!

Fun little spot in Leavenworth, WA. The outside seating is great even in cold weather with little fires going at each table. Had some good pretzels with a tasty cheese dip. Their burger with ghost pepper cheese was amazing. Great kids menu with unusually tasty corn dog batter. Had a stout that tasted like liquid chocolate cake from Icicle Brewing(?). Highly recommended. Great place to grab a bite and the outdoor area is dog friendly!

We came for the Christmas season with our dogs and after adventuring through the Bavarian Village, we needed a place that was outdoors to accommodate our pups, but not freezing. From the plaza we see a balcony with outdoor heaters all over the place so we headed up the stairs and even though it was only an hour to close, they seated us on the patio immediately. I tried the chicken wings and Sis tried a brat in sauerkraut. Both of us were happy. Each table has a space heater or firepit in the center, so you're gonna be warm either way. The pups didn't seem cold as they milled around our feet, eating some of the sausage and chicken we dropped into their mouths. The only thing that this place needs is more than two restrooms. From my POV, I kinda had fun as people tried the doors, found them locked, then hopped around waiting their turn. I laughed, but the joke was on me when I needed to wash my hands to eat my wings and now I had to wait. Aargh! Still, we enjoyed out hot ciders and our food and the fun vibe on that patio balcony and we'll definitely be back.

Four stars for a family save! We have come to Leavenworth during the busiest part of the year. Keep in mind -- thousands of people trying to get dinner at once, with no reservations accepted. Some places start their wait lists the day of the desired dining experience (highly recommend looking into this). That being said -- my husband, my 2.5 year old, and I went to multiple restaurants where the wait was 4-4.5 hours or you can expect to not get in. Rhein Haus - while it had a long line outside (it seemed to be moving quickly) has orders TO GO! When it was dumping snow and my husband and I were desperate -- we ordered to go - and our food was ready in 10 minutes! You pay for your food online and then go to the front desk and your food is waiting for you. Our food was still really hot and it was quite good!! I can't speak to the ambiance of the place besides if I come back - I want to try this restaurant in person. Things we ordered: Pretzel (3.5/5) Bratwurst (4/5) Sauerkraut (4/5) Mashed Potatoes (3.5/5) Loaded fries (4/5) Polish sausage (4/5) Thank you for your incredible work!!

We were overcharged and not giving a receipt. I also contacted the management and said they cannot find my record. If you were to visit, check the bill before you pay at the counter. Seems to be another tourist trap.

Solid place to grab a bite to eat while visiting Leavenworth. I got the schnitzel and it was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed it, my only suggestion would be to serve the gravy on the side. I sampled the fries from my wife's burger and they were excellent too.

Went mid April- low season and loved my experience avoiding the crowds. Food- good ol' German/ Bavarian food. *Goulash- flavorful, as expected for a beef stew. $9 *Rhein Wurst- good. Balanced portion of fries, sauerkraut to protein $16. * the Classic (bratwurst)- on bun, dressed with sauerkraut, hot peppers, accompanied by fries. Bratwurst was lightly flavored $19 * Giant pretzel- soft, fresh, warm, balanced salt. accompanied by 2 cheese fondue containers, a sweet caramel chocolate like thing, and a dried cheese paste that were all good fresh. $18 - they have a kid menu, use website, or ask server, Or at the ordering area. - Drinks: variety of beer, (16 ounce- 1liter or growler) wine and cocktails. Ambiance- sat on outside patio- each Bench sat up to 8 people, with fireplace that you can control. Kept us warm! *Dog friendly - unisex- bathroom near outdoor patio available. Caution- toilet seat is loose. Service- hosts escorts you to table. Go order upfront, sit down, food gets served to you. Very nice folks! We got a table quickly (low season). Food came out quickly. - servers will bus your table. Not self busing when done. Location- across from WaFd Bank, central area in the Main Street. Parking- street, $2/hr. Recommend: yes! I enjoyed my experience!

Excellent food and friendly people! We liked the scan menu option and order food line. It provided quick delivery of our food.

Visiting Leavenworth, searching for an authentic German meal. The food was below marginal, schnitzel was limp and my elderly parents (90 and 86) couldn't even finish the meal (they split one order) because it was 'not good.' My parents are limited mobility and the restaurant is not handicapped accessible and nothing states this on their website or at their restaurant. They had no available first level seating without a long wait and no seating to wait for an available table. It was over 100 degrees outside and no misters. Too hot to sit outside (virtually vacant patio seating). We had to navigate the very narrow staircase with significant assistance from family to get my parents upstairs. No bathroom upstairs, another problem for elderly patrons. No table service and the hostess was not cordial or kind, indifferent and short with attitude. Do not recommend.

There was a bit of a line, and wait outside of the building. It didn't end up being too long, and the food was worth the wait. You can sit out on the patio or inside. There aren't too many options for inside seating and the ordering process is to walk up to the bar after you are seated. The food came out super fast and fresh in under 10 minutes after ordering. All of the staff was super friendly as well. We had the Munich, which is a kielbasa on a toasted bun with beer cheese and crispy onions. It was so salty, but also so good. The sausage had great flavor and the fondue was very complimentary. The crispy onions were a nice touch as well. We also opted for the pretzel with fondue. We didn't get the giant pretzel, but the regular was was pretty giant if I do say so myself. I'd definitely recommend braving the line and checking out the Rhein Haus.

We came for dinner in late february during the off season on a friday night. The inside dining room was packed so we opted for the outside fire pits despite the frigid weather. There was no one outside at the time, but after a while parties started joining us. Service - When sitting outdoors you have to order counter service style inside. However, the food comes out hot, fresh and very impressively fast. We received our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Food - the food itself was tasty. We ordered loaded fries and some cake and both were tasty with large portions. We also ordered several drinks all which were good and served in classy steins. Price - prices were standard at around 10-15$ a plate and $10 a drink. Location and ambiance - the restaurant is located on the upper level with lovely fire pits and a great view of the downtown lights. I would say this was part of my favorite part of this restaurant. Overall, great restaurant for beers and bites with a unique outside seating area. The service was fast, but not full service outdoors and hard to get seating inside which is why I gave them 4 stars. Would recommend for a nice meet up or large groups and great for kids!

Pretty good, nice place. Sausage is top notch. Can be very crowded on weekends. Nice outdoor seating. Deducting one star for counter service with exorbitant tip suggestions at checkout. Deducting a second star for QR code menus. Bring back physical menus.

Really enjoyed this place! They claimed to have the best pretzel and I thought it was delicious with the beer cheese fondue and obatzda sauce. We were also sat with a beautiful view overlooking the rest of the town.

We stopped in today for lunch. So glad we did! We had sausage, goulash,pretzels, battered fries and all was excellent. The fire on the patio during snow fall was very nice.

Terrible service. You guys need to do something about that white chick with the posh accent. My family and I were 2nd in line and after she helped the first person, she skipped us and went for the group of white people behind us (we're obviously POC). We told her we came way before the others and she just went and seated their group anyway. She said she didn't see us but we were literally the only ones there for a while and we were right by the wait here sign. Racist much? Then when we get our food, the other female server hastily gives us our food and a french fry flew out of the tray and onto me. She didn't even say anything about it. The only nice worker was a guy who offered our dog a bowl of water and was nice to us.

Bavarian cuisine is the foundation of an entire Germanic subculture, with its own bizarre array of music, dancing, clothing and cuisine. The latter of these is where Rhein Haus truly shines. This is the exact type of place you would expect to find in a Bavarian-themed town like Leavenworth: a titanic, three-story wooden beer hall, serving sausages and schnitzels, brats and brews, pretzels and pilsners. You know what you're in for here; it's what you came to Leavenworth for! Whether you're lucky enough able to snag a table in the warm and inviting interior, or one of the many canopied, firelit picnic tables on the upper deck outside, you're in for a little bit of a wait, during peak times. Trust me, it's worth it. Keep in mind that, once seated, no one is coming to you: peruse the menu, order at the counter, and await the arrival of many delicious cheeses, breads and sweaty meats. Oh, and beer, wine and cocktails, too, if those are your thang. As is our tendency in Leavenworth, we guzzle and graze from one bar or restaurant to another, sampling various things along the way. Thus, my wife and I split the habanero cheddarwurst between us...a decision we both regret. Mein Gott! It's so juicy, cheesy and delicious, neither of us wanted to share with the other! Only our binding, eternal love spared us from what otherwise would have been a bloody fork and knife shanking frenzy! Unfortunately, only one comes per order, which, if you ask me, is a travesty. Can we get them a la carte in the future? Because I'd like a half dozen, thank you very much! To drink, I also ordered the Spiced Old Fashioned, which is a bit of a misnomer. Yes, it is "spiced", in the same way a "spiced" apple cider differs from a regular apple cider, but what the name fails to impart is the subtle sweetness of the brown sugar that gives the beverage its signature twinge. It understates its magnificence, and it shouldn't, because this is a five star cocktail, hands down! Wunderbar! We've always allowed the queue of people, shivering out in the cold and snow, waiting for a table (as we usually visit Leavenworth in December) to intimidate us into finding somewhere more instantly accessible to eat or drink. Not anymore. Rhein Haus is an absolute must visit for us now in Leavenworth, and it pains me to think it'll likely be another year before I can tear into another cheese and habanero filled sausage. That, my friends, is truly the WURST punishment imaginable!

This place is odd. It's trying too hard to be a Munich-style beer garden at its own detriment. We arrived outside of peak hours and we were greeted by a man who directed us to sit at a specific table designated by a number. Someone would bring us water and when we're ready to order, approach the outside counter to place the order. The German items on the menu are limited. The Haus Pretzel is $9 with one sauce, so that's a hard pass--no idea the size of this thing but unless it's imported from Munich, it's ridiculously priced. Currywurst and Fries are $12 but from their description, looked like a risky option because it's under "Snacks" category on their menu. Moving onto the Entrees, there was Schweinshaxe for $36, Pork Schnitzel for $23, and a Schnitzel Sandwich for $18. Most of the sandwiches are $15-19. Other German-inspired items came in the form of various Wurst Plates which all come with sauerkraut and fries for $16. As nothing seemed to authentic, I decided on the Reuben (spelled incorrectly on their menu) per the order-taker's recommendation, and a Paulaner Salvator ($8) on tap. I've had this beer many times but this just tasted weird. I don't know how you screw this up as an establishment but it wasn't good. I thought at first it was my taste buds but it never got better. I should've returned it, honestly, but who returns beer? The "Rueben Sandwich" came on its dry swirl bread. It was fine. I've had way better. My date had fish-n-chips and offered me a bite--obviously previously frozen. It's not even on their menu anymore probably because it sucked. The French fries on both plates were meh. Not freshly made, that's for sure. Oh, and the water they served us tasted like plastic--we had to ask for new water! The new water did not taste like plastic. So all in all this place is a disappointing tourist trap never to be visited again. It's too bad because it's a really nice facility but the execution is all wrong. Clinging to the idea of a beer garden just cheapens the experience. You may as well just call out my number like they do it Munich and I'll pay at a line at the register. And guess what, Munich beer gardens are inexpensive, with fresh food, large portions, and great flavors--none of what we experienced at Rhein Haus. Save your money and go across the street or try a different place. Sadly, like most German-themed Leavenworth eateries this one is overpriced, not very good, and amateurish.

Food mediocre. The Reuben was a big disappointment. Corned beef dry, sparse yet overcooked, grizzly pieces & chewy.... Little kraut or nice colored meat, spongey bread with no carmelized crunch on outside bread. The salad was a clump of mixed greens with a few radishes & wilted cucumbers on top & some of the lettuce underneath were rotten pieces of dark smudge lettuce placed in a tall, high sided bowl which which made cutting the chunks of lettuce difficult but the dill flavored ranch dressing was tasty. The other order was pork schnitzel which was served with mashed potatoes & red cabbage. The red cabbage was overly sour but the rest tasted fine according to my guest. This is really a glorified drinking venue with loud music whether from speaker or performer(s) which is fine. However, If you want quiet after a busy, active day, this may not be the most suitable place for conversation or rejuvenation of frayed nerves. It's a hubbub of noise , accommodating a lot of people, that provides expensive, mediocre bar type food which you either order online or a menu, then physically order at 1 of 3 bar locations depending on your seating location : outside, indoor, or upstairs ( on season). They bring your food & that's it....... no attention paid to you unless you approach the bar. Not what we envisioned for a nice German dinner upon our arrival to town. Our 2 fav places are closed temporarily for pipe damage repairs. Wish I had remembered to take pictures :(

Loved it! The service was insanely quick, and it was order at the bar with no open tabs so you could literally leave as soon as you were ready. The only thing I would say is that by 4pm the restroom was a little well loved and could use some tidying up. We brought out dog and it was very easy to enjoy drinks and some food without an issue. The atmosphere was nice and quiet even though the patio was 3/4 full, I could speak normally and didn't have to raise my voice. Overall, a great experience.

Rhein Haus is more for the vibes than the food, it isn't authentic. The outside seating area is impeccable with the fire at the tables, the outside is decorated beautifully with Christmas lights. Okay but for the menu - the pricing is crazy for what you're getting. The pretzel with beer cheese was a nice starter. I first ordered the "döner" it was a gyro I'm not sure why they put döner because it's the wrong bread, the wrong sauce, the wrong toppings. Maybe they didn't know, but they should change the name to what it really is. The schnitzel sandwich was alright also, pickles doesn't go on a schnitzel sandwich it should have been cucumber salad, lettuce & tomato or even just with a condiment or German gravy. The fries were really good. Their beers were reasonably priced. Again the food is medicine, definitely nothing authentic about it. I really think people go just for the atmosphere. You order at a counter & nobody checks on you while you're eating so if you need something be sure to go to the counter or flag someone down.

Fun ambience. Staff and service was okay. The food came out fast. Goulash (beef stew) was soooo delicious and perfect to enjoy outside on a cool winter day on the patio. We also had the bratwurst plate which is accompanied by a hefty portion of sauerkraut and fries. The bratwurst was not our favorite in comparison to other nearby establishments. However, I would come back for their goulash. Sadly, they were out of the large pretzels so we had a smaller one. The cheese sauce for the pretzel was delicious and my favorite in comparison to other restaurants. We had their Glühwein: in terms of value and flavor, there are other nearby places I would recommend to enjoy this drink.

My favorite spot in Leavenworth. Their brats are amazing! (My favorite is the jalapeño one). I always order their large beer since it's so big. This place has a chill happy vibe. Everyone here looks so happy and friendly

Well that's interesting that this is for the Denver location beca yelp thinks this is for Leavenworth. There are multiple reviews on here for the Leavenworth location. Either way if you're in Leavenworth avoid this restaurant. If you're in Denver it sounds like they actually care for their customers.

Food choices: fish and chips were burnt. Mashed potatoes were instant boxed (waitress did not disagree) . Burger was barely there. A pretty spot though

My cup smelled like a public pool bathroom. Pretzel was mad dry. Overall it's fine for a tourist town, but there's better places to go.

Cool place with a huge rooftop deck, great for overlooking the village. You order your food and beer at the till and it's delivered to you. The Rhein Haus burger was good, as was the Schnitzel sandwich. The pork schnitzel was delicious. Great beer selection too

great outdoor ambiance, and the food was certainly no lackluster. i wouldn't come here expecting a mind blowing experience in regards to flavor but above average in terms of food. i believe we payed over 100 dollars for our 4 dishes and brussels'. can't really blame them for up charging as inflation has gone through the roof. staffing was also pretty awful to be honest...we stood outside with a couple other parties with no hostess in sight for around 15 minutes... overall this place has a decent variety compared to a lot of the restaurants around town especially for lunch, so we'll probably be back in the future for better or for worse :D

We were visiting Leavenworth for long weekend and needed to go to the Rhein Haus to complete our Bavarian experience. We ordered the big pretzel which was pleasantly chewy and huge. Good with mustard and cheese dip of course. We all had the bratwurst and I hadn't had one in years. It immediately took me back to when my Dad made these on the grill after parboiling them in beer. Great! Good fries too. We enjoyed the scenery, our food and some cocktails. Service is order first then get a number to take to your table. Easy. You can keep a tab open if you're planning on staying awhile. Great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

Everything was great. We were sat very quickly water came out and almost beat us to the table. The menu has tons of choices. Food was amazing couldn't have been any better. The 21+ beverages were really refreshing on the mildy warm day. Server was super nice and friendly. Couldn't have had a better first time experience I will definitely keep driving two hours away to eat and enjoy the town. Thanks staff !

They seem to get a mixed review from others but really, they have a bier garten and inside seating and all handled very efficiently to being seated and your food brought. You order at the counter and pay for it up front (yes you don't get to gouge the wait staff on tips if something goes amiss; just cover with 20% and relax!). Had a great wurst, the fries were very good as was the kraut. Nothing super fancy but very tasty and the place was quite busy. A nice touch is you can buy beer as 1/2 litre or a full litre (a Maß). No discount if you order the larger bier ;-)
