"I'm looking forward to the huge two-story Rhein Haus opening in Leavenworth at 707 Highway 2 on Front Street; the fourth location in the chain will seat up to 300 people with a large upper deck for 170 offering mountain views, heated floors and fire pits for winter, and an indoor two-level, ski-lodge–modeled space for 128 featuring pine facades, ceilings and railings, a taxidermy elk, four mounted elk busts, and sconces made from vintage wooden skis. There will be indoor bars on both levels with table service throughout, no bocce courts, and a beer program pouring German imports like Spaten Oktoberfest, a Bayern Brewing house lager, and local brews such as Icicle Brewing Company's Bootjack IPA alongside a full bar. The German-leaning food menu will include a homemade kielbasa with Beecher’s cheddar beer fondue, a pork schnitzel with pretzel breading, and giant pretzels with spicy honey mustard; the space will be all-ages, can accommodate large groups by reservation, and the official opening date is still TBD." - Megan Hill
