Rhode's Motor Lodge

This location is excellent. It's located near the heart of Boone without being loud or noisy and with an amazing view. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was so much fun chatting with them upon arrival that we felt like part of the family right away. The rooms were quiet and spacious. Plenty of amenities, lovely seating outside of the rooms to enjoy the lovely weather, super relaxing l around. Will definitely stay here again!

What a fun throwback to the 1950’s! Classic and simple mid-century modern travel lodge with a rustic mountain twist in the heart of Boone. Loved the third floor room with a balcony and common spaces with fire pits and cozy modern chairs. To make the stay top notch, dinner at Over Yonder off the main lobby was suburb! Try the Trout! Super easy access to downtown Boone, neighboring Blowing Rock and other area attractions like Grandfather Mountain. Love to see someone refurbish our iconic motor lodges.

Lovely stay here! Affordable! Lots of nostalgia with updated appeal! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved drinking my morning coffee on the balcony. Super great location near App State and downtown Boone. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it was packed on a Tuesday so assuming it was delicious. We will stay here again.

If zero stars were possible, I would give it. I have a health issue that includes being highly sensitive to mold, and this hotel couldn’t give a flip. I checked in, smelled the mold, and immediately checked out. I explained my condition, and they said it would be at the manager’s discretion. They are very proud of their rating with the health department, and both the policy and that rating are what they use to justify charging you for the room because “this is your decision” not to stay there, even if you cannot stay in it for health reasons. The walls had weird stains by the beds. They have concrete floors, no covering. READ THE POLICY, because that is what they are going to go by. Do not be fooled by the lobby renovation. There were plenty of rooms here when the rest of the town was booked, so take that for what it is worth. Also, it is allegedly a non smoking hotel and people are smoking outside everywhere. This simply is not for anyone with any kind of allergies or related health issues.

This is a great place to stay. Rhode’s has invested in all of the right things for a wonderful experience at a reasonable price. Rooms are comfortable and have the right amenities without being over the top. The location is convenient to just about everything Boone has to offer. The crown jewel of this place is right on the ground floor as you enter. Outdoor fire pits, live music, friendly person at the front desk, and an excellent bar and restaurant. Couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay.

There’s a lot of bang for the buck at Rhode’s Motor Lodge. My room was tastefully yet simply decorated and spotless. All staff that I interacted with were so very friendly and helpful. The icing on the cake is the restaurant “Over Yonder”. Everything I had turned out to be my new favourite dish. The courtyard was an excellent place to enjoy my book and a glass of wine. I’ll be back. Don’t miss this gem

We had a wonderful stay at Rhode's! Excellent location. Loved the retro, yet, modern vibe. The rooms were comfortable without the fuss.vWe appreciate the dog-friendly policy. We will definitely be back!

We loved Rhode’s Motor Lodge! It was clean and unique. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. All the sitting nooks and areas were fun. We would definitely love to go back and recommend it to others looking for a slightly different experience.

It's such a lovely hotel. The owners took an old hotel and made it into the most charming retreat. The rooms are welcoming with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, tv, and bathroom. It has a cool industrial look. The front desk staff and housekeeping were helpful and nice. Great common areas with fire pit and outdoor seating. The lobby is cute and inviting. There is coffee and tea in the lobby area. Great location close to town, shopping, and easy to get to. Love that they allow pets, too. I highly recommend the Rhodes Motor Lodge when visiting this area. We will be back!
