Google
Its a local food spot that offers burgers with rice buns. They also sell different types of asian inspired bowls. The bowls are decent, but with a variety of free and extra add-ones, it can get pretty pricy. The atmosphere is laid back and super casual, and the people who work there are friendly.

Google
My favorite food truck turned brick and mortar. Super kind staff, delicious food, and the best fries! Fusion food is often boring but they're making it fun.

Google
I ordered the Chicken Katsu bowl and my husband Bulgogi Steak burger. The food was delicious, I’m very picky with how I eat chicken and this was cooked perfectly and had a good flavor, the katsu sauce was very good as well. The rice burger was delicious as well. Highly recommend you to support this business, super tasty food.

Google
Got the chicken katsu bowl on salad. It would have been much better with rice. The salad is spring mix, and you can pay for toppings, but there's no dressing for it. The sauces for the katsu don't make up for no dressing. The katsu was crispy, and the herb aioli was better than the sweet sauce I ordered. I expected better given the reviews. The staff are very nice, but I won't come back for the food, sadly.

Google
Interesting. I got the house special, if you will. Katzu chicken with a sweet brown sauce on a very different type of rice based roll. Got the house fries, as well. The chicken was great; pounded evenly thin, breaded beautifully and cooked perfectly. The sweet brown sauce was okay. The bun/roll was perplexing. I've eaten lots of rice based bread products and this was definitely new. All I could think of was like 'gelatin bread.' It was cooked and firm-ish, but had a mouth feel that I didn't enjoy. The fries were shoestring style and were also cooked perfectly. The house style seasoning was also interesting; definitely a little sweet for me. I'm guessing that the fries are coated in curry powder, dried seaweed and maybe sesame? It was sweet! The presentation in a lunch box was nice; there were holes cut to allow steam to escape, so your food doesn't get wet. I'd return but would try different items.

Google
Loved it. Will definitely be going back with my fiancee. The portion size is perfect. Everything was/is super yummy. Had the shitake mushrooms with white rice, cilantro, bean sprouts and sunny side egg, was super delicious. Looking forward to having it again.

Google
We got the bulgogi beef and spicy chicken katsu burgers. Bulgogi beef was my favorite. It was a bit messy but very flavorful. The fries were well seasoned and perfectly crispy, but I wish they came with a dipping sauce.

Google
Worth the 25min Cab ride there, rice burg and taiwan style popcorn chicken were on point! Mango yogurt with boba was great too!

Yelp
This spot is awesome. Top quality Japanese rice bowls and burgs. Will probably become a regular in my regime when I need a fast eat. My first go here I ordered: House Fries (the best) Popcorn chicken (good) Meals: Mala Spicy Chicken Katsu Riceburger (so good!) Chicken Katsu w/ Stir Fried Veggie katsu sauce and Brown Rice (great)

Yelp
Decent size place, not terribly busy on a Saturday late afternoon. You order at the counter, get your utensils and seat yourself. Because it was not busy they brought our food out to us. Very nice team. First time here, it's not authentic Japanese curry but yes it's a fried chicken patty with sweet vegetable curry that is not spicy. The chicken patty was more on the thin side but not dried up. The house fries and scallion pancake was well done. Came out hot and good flavor. The riceburg was not what I was hoping for and surprised there was a slice of pineapple inside. This place resembles a fast food restaurant. Decent for a quick bite. I'm generally sticker shock these days at ~$50 for rice burger, a curry dish, two sides and two medium drinks. I didn't walk out like I was stuffed and ready for a nap. I would consider coming again for a quick bite.

Carol K.

Yelp
I would rate this 3.5 stars, but yelp doesn't allow that. Clean place and nice staff. Great choices for vegans. We had the vegan katsu burger, a shiitake rice bowl with added veggies and scallion pancake. The burger was good, but the sauce was too thin and just dripped out and was a mess. The bowl was decent, stingy on the broccoli and daikon and sauce, but heaps of shiitakes. Delicious scallion pancake. Prices are reasonable for what you get and service is quick. Bathroom is clean!

Yelp
Most of the color used is white so the store looked bright and cheery. I think there were at least 6-7 tables. Since it was our first time there we felt a little lost because the only menu on the wall was how to build your sandwich/bowl. But there were paper menu right in front of the register. Their "burg" is 2 rice patty ( instead of bread bun) with protein sandwiched in between. We ordered chicken katsu burg, bulgugi burg and chicken katsu curry bowl. Taste was average ( not bad, but not outstanding). The burg was on the small side but surprisingly filling. We also ordered iced milk tea and those were good

Yelp
This was my first time having a rice burger and it was pretty good. I ordered a chicken katsu rice burger, bulgogi steak rice burger, house fries, and salted cream black tea. The rice bun itself did not have much flavor. I did wish the sauce was more evenly distributed and that there was more of it on the chicken katsu. I would have been nice if the chicken was tossed in the sauce. The way it was packaged all the sauce fell to the bottom as well. The bulgogi in the bulgogi rice burger had more flavor on each piece of meat. Both rice burgers were decent, although I do wish there was more sauce on both. The fries were nice and crispy and the flavor was great as well. The seasoning could have been distributed a bit more evenly, but flavor was great! The salted cream black tea was really good! It was a very good price as well. Only $3.90 for a medium (note: boba would cost an additional $1 extra). The service was great and ambiance was good as well. They do have a bathroom. The menu also has vegetarian options!

Yelp
Highly recommend this unique Chinese street food, with delicious though not amazing flavor (so 4,5 stars). Yummy "House Fries" with curry & seaweed flavoring, nicely salty. Food very fresh, toasted rice bun crunchiness contrasts well with savory well-sauced meats (we had both bulgogi beef and marinated chicken). Bun tastes like the crunchy rice at the bottom of a rice pot. Very good service, clean tables & restrooms, bright airy ambience. Good value for the money. Would definitely come back.

Paul P.

Yelp
4 star Yelp average is spot on Good food and fair pricing Bulgogi steak was delicious House fries w/curry & seaweed flakes was also delicious I enjoyed the Thai popcorn chicken, though chicken size was uneven and some of them were more "popcorn" than "chicken" Vegetable egg rolls were decent- though probably not homemade All-in-all an authentic slice of Taiwan, smack in the middle of Wellesley

Yelp
the bubble tea at rice burg is underrated! at first, i hesitated on getting bubble, but turns out it was worth it! i got the lychee tea with popping bubbles. it tasted just as good as other bubble tea chains, and had the perfect sweetness. rice burg is perfect for a quick lunch or drink - i was in and out within 5 minutes. street parking is available right in front of the restaurant. next time i definitely want to try out their rice burgers. i'm interested in seeing what the hype is all about! overall rating: 10/10

Yelp
Stopped by on our way home from Natick Mall, and was satisfied w dinner! My partner and I ordered a chicken katsu rice burger, bulgogi steak rice burger, house fries, and Taiwan style popcorn chicken - TASTE: 3/5 - the house fries, seasoned w curry seaweed and sesame powder, were our favorite by far! The pineapple in the chicken katsu burger wasn't as sweet as I'd like, but the spicy mala sauce had great flavor. Both burgers came in a wrapper, so the gochujang sauce at the bottom brought out the bulgogi steak's at the end. Finally, we were hoping for more five spice on the popcorn chicken TEXTURE: 4/5 - the shoestring fries were a perfect crisp. This was our first time trying rice buns, and I was pleased w their thinness and slight crispy edge. Popcorn chicken could've been a tad crunchier! PRICE: 4/5 - prices were reasonable, and the bulgogi steak was the most expensive rice burger option at $11 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - got the house fries in a large and devoured them quickly! The rice burgers were smaller than I expected, but still satisfying for me. Heads up, they can get messy! SERVICE: 4/5 - it was pretty quiet when we came around 6pm on a Sunday. We got our food quickly in under 10 minutes, amid others' boba takeout orders PARKING: 4/5 - found (free Sunday) metered street parking right out front

Yelp
The food is good, but I've never had a take out order ready on time. The staff always seems behind or confused. I doubt there was an issue with my online order three times in a row. They also need to organize the space. Where the frozen yogurt machines were supposed to be there are stacks of storage. It's a shame because this place offers a unique menu for this area.

Meatball Y.

Yelp
This place has the best Boba I've ever had in my life! First, the food is amazing even if you don't get Boba you should try the food the negative thing about the food I didn't mean like the rice burger, but I hadn't had it in so long. The service is amazing when I finished ordering they already finished my boba. If you are in the area you should go here it is the best!

Pam R.

Yelp
Try the fries! Best fries in the area. Thin, crispy perfectly seasoned. Bubble tea is good. Bowls are full of flavor.

Anya M.

Yelp
Bowls are great, workers were very friendly and brought us our food, cute place overall. Highly recommend their scallion pancakes.

Carl F.

Yelp
I wish I could review the rice burgers. Came in at 8:25. Restaurant advertises they close at 9. They wouldn't let us order unless we promised we'd leave by 9. We probably would have but I found that so off putting we walked out. I appreciate the honestly, but if you don't want people to come sit down, make it take out only. Sorry Rice Burg, but come on guys.....

Greewnwood G.

Yelp
5 stars for flavor, quality ingredients, price, and easy online ordering. Friendly staff. Even if you are not into Boba drinks, you should give this place a try!

Janine G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! We had the chicken katzu rice burg and the beef bulglogi bowl and riceburg( sorry if I spelled incorrectly) It was warm when I got home and I drove 20 minutes! The boba tea - popping and tapioca were perfection. We definitely will be back if not tomorrow because my daughter is obsessed with bubble tea!!

Sirimon P.

Yelp
Ordered bulgogi steak rice bowl w gochujiang sauce and an egg. The brown rice was very hard, needed to be cooked for 2-3 more minutes. The meat is not as tender and very fatty. I had bulgogi before but this was poor quality meat. The sauce tasted like teriyaki and not spicy and smoky like Gochujiang. I put the whole packet of soy sauce and it was still very sweet. Do not go on Wednesday the place got mobbed w Wellesley kids got off early from school. Other dishes looks good but not sure about the taste. The kids seemed to enjoy it... No extra sauce of any kind on the table whatsoever if you want to try ti fix it to your liking, you are out of luck. For $17 very disappointed.

Yelp
The idea of a rice burger is an interesting concept adopted from Asia and I'm glad to have the opportunity to try it without having to travel across the world. I ordered the bulgogi steak rice burger. Overall it's a bit small and I don't think one burger is enough to fill me up, but luckily I ordered chicken katsu on the side. The patty of the burger is made out of crispy fried rice which added a nice crunch. The meat was flavorful and the entire concept worked pretty well. It is a bit messy to eat since it breaks apart towards the end, but using a fork is an easy solution! I like that you can customize and make your own bowl. I especially like the fact that you can add your own sauce so each time I order, I can change up the taste a bit. Overall, I enjoyed the food here and will be back!

F C.

Yelp
Rice bowl is delicious, bubble tea is good, the only down side is the bubbles which are too hard, they are not undercooked, I suggest they use a better quality of tapioca. I noticed that the longer the bubbles sit in the cup , the harder they will get.

Lisa S.

Yelp
This place was a disappointment. The chicken curry rice bowl was full of msg. Chicken was dry and the curry tasted very artificial. The scallion pancakes and fries tasted bland nothing special. The one star is because the cleanliness was bad. The place has all white decor which makes stains more visible. The tables, trash can and windows were all sticky and dirty.

Helen C.

Yelp
Tried the soy marinated chicken, bulgogi beef and mushroom burgers. Very nice flavor, each burger can be of smaller portion size, but a very nice alternative of traditional burger. The filling is not served in patty form, may need utensils to finish everything.

Dkay K.

Yelp
Awesome lunch - great addition to Wellesley Friendly staff and the bulgogi bowl was delicious

Joe S.

Yelp
Chicken Katsu was good. Fries were excellent. My friend had a bubble tea and really enjoyed it. No where to sit because every table was occupied (Only four table) with customers who were no longer eating or drinking but just hanging out. I had to eat my food sitting on a bench. Not a good experience. Back hallway (on way to bathroom) was a mess filled with dusty, unused kitchen equipment and food. Overall, I think the dining atmosphere hurt the experience. Everything felt cluttered and messy.

Dan B.

Yelp
UPDATE: It's just so yummy and the quality has stabilized from when I first started going. Love their spicy vegan riceburger and the sea salt fries. The scallion pancakes are incredible. The staff is friendly and I'm always shocked how fast my order is ready. Highly recommend! I wish they would add a honeydew flavored beverage.

Joy L.

Yelp
I order from Riceburg quite a bit. The bulgogi beef rice burgers are super good and the portion of meat is always really large. I am also a fan of the curry chicken katsu, the chicken always stays crispy even though it's in a takeout package. The scallion pancake is great if your sharing with a couple of people. I've found the popcorn chicken a bit hit or miss, sometimes it's really good but it can get soggy.

Victoria C.

Yelp
I've had this place bookmarked for a while and finally got to try out the long-awaited rice burger! I ordered on their website, which said would take 25-30 minutes, but in reality, it only took about 10 minutes, since they text you when your order is ready. Pick-up was super quick and there were only a couple of other people inside waiting for their orders. We got Bulgogi Burger w/ fries (+$2),  Chicken Rice Burger w/ house fries (+$3),  bulgogi bowl,  Matcha Lemonade, BMT Latte, popcorn chicken, and Curry Chicken Katsu. Unfortunately, by the time we got home and were ready to eat a lot of the food was cold, but the rice burgers were still good. The rice bun sticks together, so it was easy to eat the delicious, plentiful filling of bulgogi and katsu inside. The popcorn chicken was okay and much better after getting reheated the day after for leftovers. The katsu on the curry was a bit underwhelming compared to the rice burger since the breading wasn't as crispy (but could've been when it was warmer?). The curry had a smell to it, nothing bad, but unexpected and still tasted fine. The drinks we got were also quite underwhelming and I wouldn't recommend getting them especially with them charging an extra $1-$1.50 for boba just isn't worth it. Overall, if you want to try some different just go for the rice burgers and pass on everything else.

Carter L.

Yelp
Got the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and house French fries recently and everything was divine! Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! I was in a rush, so they were great snacks for on the go, too. I devoured as much as I could, but there was so much that I saved it for today's lunch. 10/10 would visit again. I went last week to try their milk tea drinks as well and WOW! Two drinks I tried were the mango milk tea and passion fruit green tea. Such soft and squishy boba and refreshing teas; they were exactly what I needed for the summer heat.

Michelle L.

Yelp
The food was delicious. They didn't have free tap water, and you have to buy bottled one. Overall I like this place!

Sophia Z.

Yelp
Haven't had the actual rice burger, but the katsu curry is delicious and something you can't get elsewhere around here. The tea is pretty tasty and the quality of the boba has improved greatly in the last two years! You can also order fruit flavor milk teas, which are not on the menu. I would avoid the milk caps, which had an unpleasant artificial taste I haven't experiences with milk caps/cheese foams in other boba places. Mango black tea (with or without milk), red bean milk tea, and jasmine milk tea are my favorites. Is it as good as the best stuff in California? Definitely not, but it still hits the spot where it's hard to find milk tea, and honestly at this point I prefer it over "better" chains that charge $8 or whatever. Yum

Yelp
So delicious! I got to meet the owner and she was so sweet and welcoming. The sauces were delicious and the beef rice burgers were juicy and filling. I would definitely come back! Thank you!

Susan B.

Yelp
Good not great. The gimmick is rice buns, not flour. Spring rolls were not delicate, too much wrapper to veggie ratio. Steak was our favorite. Curry sauce for rice bowl was generic.

Maggie S.

Yelp
Food is a 4 but service was great so bumping this to 5 . Ordered 2 rice burgers, the bulgogi and the teriyaki chicken. Meat was tasty but there was too much sauce on both, and the rice buns themselves were thin and not that flavorful (contrast to the ones in Taiwan that are much thicker and the rice itself is delicious). The bubble tea was fine, nice to be able to customize your sweetness. The staff were very kind and sweet with my kids which is why the 5!

Mariana O.

Yelp
I had a delivery experience with rice burg and I totally recommend it! It came perfectly packed, nice box, no mess. It's satisfying to get an order like this at home! The rice bun is delicious and the meet was really flavorful! It's a small bite, so if you're a big eater, order two. I'll def going to order this again. Worth to try!

Beryce G.

Yelp
This is the best Asian restaurant at Wellesley so far. I had the bulgogi bowl and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping by here and giving it a try!

Brad M.

Yelp
Spicy vegan chicken Burger.. It was grate, last part fell apart get napkins. I will definitely go again and try the bowl and sweet and sour. The plan fries did not need salt ...

Holly C.

Yelp
A solid spot for a quick bite in downtown Wellesley. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. It's a fast casual joint, but the service was great. I got the steak bulgogi bowl for about $10- the going rate for the area. I wasn't too impressed by the portion size, but it hit the spot. There a variety of bubble teas/Asian sodas/fro yo here that I'll have to try on my next visit!

Sherri S.

Yelp
We ordered vegan sandwiches, confirming with the person that everything was vegan, and we got chicken. Really terrible.

Alice R.

Yelp
Amazing flavors: my steak bowl had a generous and tender portion of steak, brown rice had a nIce chew with the sweet and spicy gojuchang(pairs well with coriander and daikon), chicken katsu was crispy and tender and the vegan chicken paired well with the seaweed salad and herb aioli. Definitely would go back if I'm in the area = )

Yin H.

Yelp
Great food and drinks. After I first time order their Japanese style curry chicken, I have been keep coming back to this place. The food is simple and delicious. You also can create your own dishes and many healthy options. My kids also love their food and drinks. Love, love, love!

gwyn g.

Yelp
I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl the other day, absolutely enjoyed how the beef, greens, rice and sauce come together and explode on my taste buds. A few days ago, I ordered takeaway and opted for the Japanese Curry Rice instead - which was amazing as well. The sauce came separate from the rice, a small detail which I really appreciate. Despite being on the pricey side, I would highly recommend Rice Burg to those craving authentic Asian food.

Diana L.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! We tried the Katsu chicken burger, bulgogi rice bowl, scallion pancakes, salt and pepper chicken nuggets and both types of French fries. My favorite thing was the seaweed curry fries and Boba! This will become a regular spot!

George w.

Yelp
Ok..had a shitake mushroom bun and small chicken plate to go. The rice bun was ok..the concept is good but the execution needs some work. The insides fall out because they are not a single item... A better execution would be too form a party with the mushrooms and veg.. lots of mushrooms though.. I'll give them that! The chicken was very good but a missed opportunity for perhaps a glaze.. and.. No sauce with takeout? Not was I given a fork.. or chopsticks.. or a napkin. Overall.. Very tasty.. But could be so much better with a few tweaks.

Laura B.

Yelp
Super fast to get my order out after placing it online, and their katsu chicken bowls are really yummy.

Lorenda L.

Yelp
So perfect. The chicken-less patty with masa Chile sauce and salad was just indulgent enough. Salad greens, daikon, and veggies were crisp and fresh. Not overly hot but spicy.

Mathieu A.

Yelp
DoorDash order after a few drinks to the hotel room. First the good! Had the beef rice burger which had a great sauce and the beef was certainly tender. Side of seasoned fries was the highlight with a seaweed and curry mix which I found to be a really good compliment to the fries which were a bit cold by the time of delivery. Now to the not so great. The "bun" which are a kind of crispy rice patty was just okay and certainly left something to be desired in the taste category. It was certainly unique however by the end of the burger the charm had just worn off. The chicken nuggets were just okay as well maybe a hit under seasoned although they were juicy as this restaurant uses thighs for the nuggets. Overall an interesting experience but one I probably won't repeat unless in the direct area and can try fresh at the restaurant.

Gabbi T.

Yelp
Rice Burg will most likely make my top 3 Wellesley staples list predominantly for how the value and quality of food for your money. When I got here, I was very surprised at how most of the menu items are below $12, a very rare fact for Wellesley. I ordered the Chicken Karaage which is a must for me. Ask for soy sauce and chili mayo for you to dip the chicken in. I also ordered the yakiniku rice burger and was a big fan as well. The beef is very tender, but could use more flavor. A little soy sauce will do the trick, but still lacks a smidge of taste. The portions are quite generous for the price you're paying, but having the burger alone won't fill you up. I'm excited to come back to try their other dishes like the katsu curry and frozen yogurt!

Ronald L.

Yelp
Restaurant was out of everything. Unresponsive staff. Had a burger and tasted like it was previously frozen

Katy C.

Yelp
Love this place! Highly recommended to try it out! So delicious, you can't go wrong with their food!

Jason S.

Yelp
Great food. Good flavors. Tried the pancake, spring roll, fries, multiple bowls and a sandwich. Happy with it all. Bubble tea to wash it down was good as well.
