Downtown since 2003, this independently owned spot spans Thailand’s regions—from central curries to northern soups—with straightforward, warmly spiced plates. Regulars tout duck noodle soups and garden-forward stir-fries; the restaurant’s page underscores its two-decade run and made-to-order approach.

Google
I got the pineapple fried rice, which wasn't bad, but didn't quite hit the spot for me. The portion size was large, though the pineapple could've been cut smaller

I ordered the phad see lew, there is no egg nor noodle in it. And they added the Thai fish sauce in it, I don’t think that’s the authentic way to cook it. And $18 for this little portion. 🤯And I found it was $10 in 2020 and $13 in 2022 for this dish. Wonder how much it cost in 2030.

Google
This place exceeded my expectations. My 1st Thai experience in Bellevue. They did NOT disappoint.

Google
Very good fried rice and the portion size was a lot bigger than expected. Very fast service and super nice people too.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve been coming here for lunch every weekend for almost a year, and it never fails to impress. The food is consistently incredible, and the service is just as amazing. The staff are always kind and take the time to get to know their regulars — it really makes the experience feel personal and welcoming!

Google
I could not place more than two stars only. Tried this spot hoping for bold Thai flavors, but left pretty disappointed. The boat noodles were watery and lacked that rich, beefy punch you expect—no depth, no spice, just kind of flat. The curry (we had both red and green) tasted more like sweet coconut soup than anything remotely balanced or aromatic. And the pad kee mao? Way too oily, noodles were overcooked, and it didn’t have that signature chili-basil kick. To top it off, the place is tiny—barely any seating, and we had to wait awkwardly outside while staff looked overwhelmed. :(

Google
I came here on a week day for lunch. Ordering ahead is recommended but I nearby so I walked over. In all, it took just over 30 minutes for me to receive my order. I ordered the pork druken noddles and can't recommend them enough! The noodles were very flavorful the the pork and veggies were cooked/seasoned very well. Besides getting congested around lunch (expected) my only complaint was that I was charged the dinner price instead of the lunch menu. I didn't specify at the time I ordered because I thought the lunch menu would have been the default - best to specify though.

Google
Highly recommend the spicy eggplant. I am hyper particular about dishes containing eggplant but this dish is absolutely delicious. The eggplant is perfectly prepared and goes great with a side of roti.

Yelp
They were super accommodating to my order: GF, vegetarian, low salt and low oil. I love the drunken noodles and it was perfectly done. This is my go-to Thai spot. I'd say if unless you order less salt it's actually quite salty.... So give my order a try!

Yelp
The crab fried rice (spice level - 3) is delicious! I'm excited to come back and try more dishes, very soon.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I grabbed food to go from here and really enjoyed the chicken phad thai and fried rice! I've tried a few spots around Bellevue for phad thai and this is up there for some of my favorite. I would definitely come back to try some other food

Yelp
Clean little restaurant, friendly servers, delicious Thai food It has a "fast-food" feel as "to go orders" were just coming off the shelves An order of an entree is good for two people Definitely coming back!!!

Yelp
This place is consistently great! It's my To Go place when i have no time to cook and the food is always great. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This is my go to place for Thai food. I order lunch here every week! I love their fried rice, but they also have a very authentic style pad Thai dish. It is a very tiny store that usually just does take out orders but they do have two tables inside in case you want to eat there. It's not a glamorous restaurant by any means, but it is a whole in the wall gem with great food! Prices are decent as well, I hope they don't start raising prices!

Yelp
They food is food is so good and when you ask for 4* you actually get really tasty spicy food. I love the portion sizes and everything I've tried on thier menu is delicious. Highly recommend this place for excellent Thai food.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to take out spots in Bellevue for years. No frills just food Thai food that you can count on. They also have free delivery (directly through the restaurant) for orders $35 and up. Bonus: They also have catering for parties, which is hard to find around here. $50 for a "small" tray and $100 for a larger tray. The smaller tray is plenty. We ordered 4 small trays for a party of 15 as the main items as it was more than enough! Such a good deal.

Yelp
I have been going to this place for years now, but my recent experience has resulted in them losing me as a customer. I went in for lunch and ordered the pumpkin curry - an item that is on the lunch menu - with extra rice. When my order arrived, it turned out the dude at the counter had rung up the dinner version (the price is the same). He didn't even ring up the extra rice I'd asked for. When I asked about this, I was told that if I don't specifically ask for the lunch version, they ring it up as dinner. Really? You couldn't maybe...clarify with your customers by asking which one - like every other restaurant does? I let the lady behind the counter know that this wasn't what I wanted or was expecting (very politely) and asked if I could have the extras that come with lunch (rice and a small salad). I was told because of the store policy she couldn't do that. Again...really? You can't part with a couple scoops of white rice and some lettuce to satisfy your customer? You can't, say...make this clear on the menu? I asked if I could have a refund, which I received. I (again politely) let the lady know they would lose me as a customer. She seemed okay with that. This was a really disappointing experience for me. Their food is fantastic, But their "policies" aren't customer-friendly at all. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

Yelp
Rice n Spice is my long-time go to for Thai takeout in Bellevue. Consistently excellent and usually fast service. Parking is free and right in front. It's basically a counter with a kitchen and while they have a few tables it's not really a destination for dining. But do order takeout!!
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Its been YEARS since my husband and I have had Rice N Spice so we decided to have Rice N Spice for our Friendsgiving! We ordered Pad Thai, Pineapples Fried Rice, Zion Chicken, and Sweet N Sour Chicken. The consensus favorite was Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice, the worst was Zion Chicken and Sweet N Sour Chicken. Zion Chicken was so hard to chew, not even crispy at all. Sweet N Sour Chicken, you barely had any chicken at all. Mostly vegetables and the chicken was also hard to chew. Pad Thai, noodles werent soggy and not sweet. Pineapple Fried Rice, good mix of sour and sweet. Overall, will continue to visit. Still tastes as good as we remembered.

Yelp
This place is more of a 3.5 star spot for me but I'm elevating to 4 stars because its a good price for lunch. With inflation at an all time high I feel like getting a flavorful (and somewhat healthy) lunch for under $15 is a win! There is very limited seating here (in fact it might be a few outdoor tables only) so I would consider this a takeaway only spot. All of the food is boxed and bagged so be prepared to enjoy your food somewhere else. The service was pretty fast and friendly. You select your spice level 1-4. I got the Garlic Lovers with chicken (spicy level 3) and it was lovely! Mellow heat for sure so next time I might kick it up to a 4. Pros Extensive menu Good prices for downtown Bellevue Great flavors Cons Limited seating, mostly outside Not good for groups +$1 for brown rice

Charles And Jean H.

Yelp
We went to Rice N' Spice after a friend recommended them. Maybe they were just having a bad day or something but the food we received (takeout) was not even good, plus one dish wasn't even what we ordered. Our order should have been just standard Thai cuisine and we hoped we'd found a place we could go back to but sad to say we won't go back. Prices are just as high as any Thai restaurant, food not worth it
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Great place for a quick and affordable meal if you're in the downtown Bellevue area! I think this is more of a takeout place, but there are a few tables both inside and outside. Service was really quick and they had our food ready in 10 minutes of ordering. No restrooms, though. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and which was satisfying and full of flavor. As a warning though I did find it to be a LOT spicier than other Thai restaurants. My level 2 spice was extremely spicy for me but perhaps it was just a one-off!
google avatar

Adri R.

Yelp
The restaurant is mostly set up for to go orders. There is a few tables for dine in. There is a difference between the lunch and the lunch combo that's offered.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and man it was crazy busy . I waited about 30 minutes for my food but the guy nicely warned me the wait would be long. For being the only person at the register he was on a roll. I gotta say the food was delicious well worth the 30 min wait for it. The environment was crazy but in a good way, since you got people on lunch, people picking up and people ordering food. I would definitely come back even if I have to wait another 30-40 minutes
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Phad Thai was tasty but Thai Style Garlic Pepper with fried tofu was so salty, I couldn't eat it. Friendly service.
google avatar

Krista Rene N.

Yelp
If you want to get some quick Thai food, this is the place on the eastside. They have so many different dishes, you'll never get bored with the menu. I usually get a lunch combination which comes with an entree, rice, salad and pad Thai. It's a little pricey at around $16 with tax now, but the cost of food is so high it makes sense. Service is always good too.

Annabelle L.

Yelp
Quick, easy, decent Thai food. This is our go to place takeout and our family loves it.
google avatar

Cascades M.

Yelp
The guy who works at the front desk is unprofessional and rude. I would never give this place my money, simply because of the way they treat their customers. The food here is spotty and inconsistent at best. Unless you like tough chicken, overdone food, and incorrect orders, I suggest you find a much better Thai place.
google avatar

Erick L.

Yelp
I came here when it was extremely busy and my expirience there lead me to here where I feel inclined to share. Firstly, I read some previous reviews and it seems it can get busy and crazy here. I am surprised that there are a few entitled customers who are not understanding of this and are extremely rude. The girl working was the only one there and everyone was in the same boat of waiting 30 plus minutes yet a few individuals are giving this person and place a hard time. Its no wonder why they need to reciprocate that too. I feel terrible for the workers here, give them a break! Onto food, it did take awhile but I got exactly what I needed which was great thai food and got my fix. There's are many options to from, portions and pricing were standard, there is parking but it will be full when busy. They mainly do take out so there are only 4 tables. I'll be coming back again for their street food dishes, was reccomend to pick from their specials.

Yelp
So good. Just make sure you don't go when they close in the middle of the day! Food is hot and tasty

Yelp
Great service and great food! Our go to for Thai food spots In Bellevue! Drunken Noodles

M G.

Yelp
I ordered the mixed vegetable plate with chicken to go. The chicken was so tough, I could barely eat it. It was WAY overdone.

Yelp
Thai takeout place on the edges of downtown Bellevue. Had a few folks come in and out during the weekend. Went there and ordered a pork drunken noodle and waited about 15 minutes for them to cook it up. Asked for mild spicy, but the cashier must have misheard me because those noodles were quite spicy, at least medium level if not more. However, the noodles were quite delicious, with a lot of good flavors in addition to the spice. Since it was cold out, the spiciness wasn't as bad, but still took some extra time to eat. Portions were decent as I was full at the end. Was about $14-15 with tax and tip.

Sixu C.

Yelp
Though the food is good, there is no way I am coming back as long as they do not know how to do customer service. I have never been to a place where they kick customers out while they are in the middle of eating. You are closed, sure. However, that means you no longer take more orders. Does that mean, you won't have patience to let your customer finish their food? How long would that take? It would only take 10 extra mins lady. You can absolutely be nice and allow that space and make your customer happy and then they will bring back their family and friends. Oh, the most ridiculous thing is that, when I stood up and mentioned that " I have not been to a place where they kick people out in the middle of their eating." The girl who works there started a whole dramatic argument with me, and at one point even ask me to shut up and told me if I don't stop talking she won't stop rebuttals . Is she like 5-yr-old? Finally I was like ok, this lady is obviously confused about that she is in service and I was the customer. I chose to be the grown up and stopped talking. What a waste of energy. I have never been treated like that in a restaurant before. I went there after a spa treatment, and it was such a regret! Please, people, if you choose customer service as an industry, learn some basic customer service etiquette. I don't usually write reviews, but I write this one here to hopefully help prevent things like this from happening again at this place. Please learn to provide good customer service to your customers. Thank you!

Yelp
One of my favorite Thai places in Downtown Bellevue. It's not a fancy sit down restaurant but it is a great grab n go place with really good food and staff. I have been coming here for years. My favorite dish is the Zion Chicken and Pineapple fried rice.
google avatar

Yelp
We got take out but I won't be back. We were in the area and were very hungry and thought it'd be better then Panera next door but were all totally disappointed. Nothing tasted good. For starters, they were out of wide noodles. The two stars was extremely spicy! We force ate some of it because we were starved but the flavors were all off. The soup was off, the fresh rolls too. Just all around blah. Unless your desperate for take out, I don't recommend. Sorry to the people who work there, just rating the food itself.

Steven D.

Yelp
I love this place. if you know the right things to get the place is unmatched. Best things there are the panaang, green or yellow curries, pineapple fried rice, spring rolls, satay, drunken noodle, pad see ew, fried pork belly, pad thai, zion chicken, cashew chicken are all great there. Food is done quickly, well made and complex flavors. Truly the restaurant that got me to explore thai food.

Yelp
This was an absolute treat! I tried Pad Thai and Crab Fried rice, the portions were good and the flavor was great.

Yelp
We were looking for a good place to eat at lunch over in Bellevue and happened upon this little spot. It is magnificent. My husband ordered the beef dish that everyone raves about and it is well worth all of the raves. We got crab Rangoon as a starter and then I ordered the pumpkin curry that took a little while the order got mixed up but it was well worth the wait fabulous with pork will go there again I highly recommend it and I've been to Thailand and I know how to cook Thai food
google avatar

Yelp
First of all the food is great but expensive. $15 for pad Thai ! But still delicious haha On a side note ... The girl with the short hair has an attitude problem and I think the cooks would be better at customer service. I've been here several times and every time she's very short and snarky.

Veng W.

Yelp
Disappointing experience! Ordered Moo Ping and it was spoiled, causing food poisoning for myself and 2 others. Trust is lost. Hope they take steps to ensure food safety and quality.

Sudawadee R.

Yelp
Boat beef noodle $ 18+ tax too expensive for that a little small piece of beef & 2 beef balls The price up but quality not up!

Yelp
This place is a staple for us. I love the addition of broccoli in the red curry. My boyfriend is a pad Thai fan, and this always does the trick. They have a little bit of indoor and outdoor seating. The Thai iced tea tastes a bit sweeter than other places (I like it that way). We'll definitely be back.

Josh K.

Yelp
I don't really make Google reviews but I had to for this place because what I had to go through today was quite outrageous. Came here for lunch for the first time and it will definitely be my last. Arrived at around 12:05pm during my lunch break. I tried to call ahead to put in my order over the phone but they did not pick up. I called them six times but decided to just order once I'm there. Walked in with another group of three strangers. The three strangers ordered before me and we ordered back to back (four separate orders). The lady in the front told me and the other group that it would take 20 minutes for the food to come out. After about ten minutes the food came out for the three gentlemen and they left. I expected my food to come out but about five minutes later it wasn't coming, so I went to ask if my order would be ready soon. The lady forgot my order and asked what my order was...I told her it was Pad see ew with chicken spice level 3. She said that it would take another 20 minutes since they had made a mistake and forgot to make my order. I was quite disappointed but I decided to just wait for the food since I already waited. Another 20 minutes passed and I got impatient as waves of people came and went. I asked again about my order and once again the kitchen/the lady in the front forgot my order again. She said it would take another 5 minutes, but it seemed like she didn't care. No apology from anyone for their mistake, just stone faced with no emotion. At this point, I was quite upset because I ordered at the same time as the three strangers that I came in with but I was still here 40 minutes later. More people came and ordered and I just felt like the care and the service were non-existent. I came up to the front again to ask for the third time about my order that I put in about 40 minutes ago. The lady again with no care and empathy just said here it is, as it was coming out of the kitchen window. The demeanor and no care attitude of the lady just made we want to get a refund especially when they can't even get one order right. Not only that but three times I had to go up and ask about my order and they kept on forgetting it after I paid. I got the refund and left the place very upset (left at 12:49pm). I understand that places such as restaurants can get busy but the aura of the lady in the front and miscommunication of the kitchen is just mind boggling. I haven't experienced this ever and I guess I can consider myself lucky but this experience stood out as one of the worst I had ever had. Had to wait a little over forty minutes, wasted my lunch time, didn't eat lunch because I lost my appetite, and had to remind the lady in the front three times about my order and if it was going to come out soon. I am sitting in the restaurant and Im literally the only one there for that long and the lady looks at me like she never seen me and keeps forgetting my order? Im never coming back here and I will be sharing my story of this place to everyone that wants to eat around the Bellevue area. Rice N Spice is a no go and Im ready to deter people from going here because I believe that what I experienced today shouldn't be experienced by other customers as well. Avoid this place! Go to the other restaurants in Bellevue and you will get service and food like you would expect to get. Didn't even get to taste the food because the service sucked so much, never have I had that happen to me. Hope this place goes out of business and I will be smiling through their window when they do.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Rice 'n Spice Thai Cuisine for awhile, and finally did so...years later! We wanted Thai food as always, but wanted to be able to walk somewhere in Bellevue and get takeout. That nixed some Thai spots we love, but decided to finally check out what's just down a few blocks from where we live. Rice 'n Spice is primarily known for its takeout and delivery service. They are open for dine-in, as they have some tables set up. But much of their business comes otherwise. We attempted to order online, but decided to call for a faster ordering process. We ordered the larb with chicken, boat noodle soup, heavenly beef, pumpkin curry with chicken, roti and sticky rice. We were told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. We walked over, half an hour before closing and the place was still busy with orders. Many were getting takeout, and the staff was processing phone orders the entire time we were there. As we arrived, they were just finishing up our order. Everything was neatly packaged with utensils and napkins. Of all the food we ordered, my favorite was the pumpkin curry! So tasty! It had huge chunks of Asian pumpkin throughout the curry, which was the best part. I asked for it to be four-star spice, which wasn't that spicy. I most likely would do all five stars for next time. The boat noodle soup was my least favorite. The rice noodles clumped together, and after putting it together with the broth, it was still hard to separate. The huge stems from the greens were hard to eat too, so had to cut them up. But the broth was great with the pork flavor from the blood and the spice was definitely there! I've just had better at other Thai spots around. Roti was good, but the side yellow curry with was super salty. I liked eating it with the pumpkin curry instead. Heavenly beef was tender and had a nice marinade on it, and the larb was standard, but solid. Overall, we're happy that we checked out Rice 'n Spice for some Thai takeout. I would happily come back again, especially since the prices are lower than surrounding Thai restaurants in downtown Bellevue.

Yelp
Zion chicken, Zion chicken, and... Zion chicken. Although I guess there is orange chicken too which is why it's 4 stars :) In all seriousness the Zion chicken is one of their most popular items on the menu, and it's because it's a huge super flavorful portion that comes on a bed of lettuce, and you can add rice for a little extra $. You can also specify the level of spice, and because I'm a weenie, I get a 0 (I know I know). I did get their orange chicken once and it was just "meh", definitely needing more flavor. They also have a pretty good online ordering system with payment through PayPal, I've done it a couple times and food is ready in 20-30 minutes. If you're in Bellevue, I recommend it!
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
I had the crab fried rice for take out. The portion was enormous! Definitely enough to share with another or have for 2-3 meals. There was a ton of crab and the rice was soft and fragrant. I liked how this crab fried rice had more vegetables than others I've tried before. I would recommend ordering up a spice level if you like spicy. I tried the 2 star thinking I would get a mild level of heat but this was not spicy at all.

Yelp
Quick easy tasty take out for nights you don't feel like cooking. Parking is right in front. Staff is friendly and fast. I've eaten inside a few times when I just want a super quick bite before heading out. You'll see tons of people in and out grabbing take out too. It's a great neighborhood spot! We regularly get roti canai, pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice, egg noodles, satay chicken, and Thai iced tea.

Yelp
Best Thai in Bellevue, I literaly LOVE EVERYTHING from here. Photos? Embarrassedly that I always cannot hold off to take photos... another reason is that I normally have the dishes to go. The restaurant is small and simple, some people dine in, but a lot more just order to go for lunch (lunch combo has good value) and dinner. Btw, during lunch time, expect a longer wait (~20min). My favorite is the tiger eye (tender and flavorful beef), nooodle bowl (more delicious than that at the chained Thai authority Bai Tong), green curry (creamy but not heavy), and the mango dessert is a must have!! I have also heard good things about the crab fried rice, drunken noodle, and pad Thai.

Yelp
delicious food - nice owners- and very reasonable prices! what a find!! quick turn around ... 15 minutes for 4 entrees and an appetizer. i will be ordering again!!!

Yelp
One of my favorite to go lunch place during work week. Love that I can order online and they deliver to my office and usually deliver within 30mins. My favorite has their crab fried rice. Large portion, flavorful and real crab meats! I also like their corn fritter, but need to eat it as dine in or it won't be as crispy. I have also dined at the restaurant, but it is a small shop, usually packed w/ people during lunch hours.

Yelp
I was visiting from Hawaii a couple days ago, and I decided to try thai food down here and this did not disappoint! Food was dope, it came out quickly despite the lunch rush, great customer service by the lady she helped recommend me food because of my dietary restrictions.

Sandeep P.

Yelp
I was in a rush today, and ordered something to go around 11.30. I didn't realize that the restaurant had a lot of app/phone orders. After placing the order, I was told that it would take 15 minutes for the order to be ready, which is reasonable given the lunch hour. I requested that the waitress give mine sooner since I had a meeting to go. She made it happen, and politely told me to do app order in future to get food on time. The food is good (am vegetarian) for a lunch during workdays.

Yelp
Rice 'n Spice is not only within walking distance of our place, but it is also soo tasty. I mean, we can't get enough of it. We are slightly obsessed -- we have probably gone there to get takeout once a week for the past month or so. We try our best to cook most of our meals at home, but Rice 'n Spice always gets us to break that habit because of how delicious it is. Admittedly, we have gotten the same things every time: Chicken Phad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Tom Kha soup. We keep telling ourselves we will try something different next time, but it hasn't happened yet. Every time, our food has been hot, fresh, and so good that we usually can't stop eating it until we almost finish our entire dishes (and they give big portions!!!). Realistically though, I think each entree is enough for maybe two meals (depending on how big of an eater you are... we are big eaters). We like to call and place our order (we are usually estimated about 15-20 minutes until it is ready), and then walk on over. So far, our food has been ready upon arrival every time. The staff members are very efficient and friendly, and they adhere to COVID guidelines. Our ONE complaint -- which I really shouldn't even call a complaint -- is that their spiciness levels seem to be a bit inaccurate. Even the highest level of spiciness doesn't have much of a kick. It won't stop us from frequenting this place, so I guess it doesn't matter all that much! We also like to reuse their Tupperware containers for lunches or leftover food, so it's like you're paying for an amazing meal PLUS a Tupperware. ;-) We have already established that we will be getting takeout from Rice 'n Spice this weekend and that we absolutely WILL be trying something new. We have our eyes on the Pumpkin Curry, the Rice 'n Spice Green Beans, and the Spicy Eggplant. So, see ya soon, Rice 'n Spice! An update may be coming...

Yelp
Love their food and service. Their Pad Thai is better than most places on the Eastside. Highly recommend them .

Yelp
5/5 Stars :)) Basil Fried Rice - I order mine w chicken or shrimp. Both are delicious!( 3 Stars spicy is perfect) The employees are always friendly as well, I order online and pick up at the restaurant. Never had a problem and its always fast and easy! One of my fav places.
