I tried all three levels of heat for their chicken, and the classics was by far the best. You can tell the difference between the “hot” and “Richard’s hot” but it’s not a huge difference and neither one was very good. The Mac and cheese was decent, it didn’t stand out much to me. It’s worth a stop for the classic chicken if you’re in the Krog Street market, but it’s not worth going out your way.

Best hot chicken I've had outside of Nashville. The batter was perfect and stuck to the chicken. Flavor was full of Rich pepper and umami and still spicy delicious. Black-eyed pea salad was simple and good. Totally worth an adventure into Krog's market.

So nice to see a gluten free fried chicken! My husband has Celiacs so he hasn't been able to eat fried chicken in a while. Of course it's not the same as the real thing, but it was pretty good. PS their potato wedges are real good!

The food is OK at Richards' Southern Fried, while being pretty pricey. The chicken sandwich is rather small and the flavors are lacking a bit, but the chicken and waffle plate is pretty good. This isn't true Nashville hot chicken, in my opinion. I think there are better food options in Krog Street Market to choose from.

Chicken is good. I got the hot chicken . They have three different heats to the chicken. The waffle was also good. The Mac and cheese was on point. Nice spot if you are in Krog. Update May 2nd I got my usual chicken and waffles but for the first tome I got two pieces instead of the usual three . The woman cashier told me it was the cooks discretion on how many pieces of chicken I get. That’s not right . They should have a number or she was lying to me. Whichever that annoyed me . So if you get chicken and waffles ask how many pieces before you order.

Actually really good!! I’m happy with everything in the set - the chicken, the cornbread & the Brussels sprouts salad. The only downside was that it took wayyyy to long to get my order, even though it was only 430pm and not rush hour yet.

What a horrible experience, first off the food was ready and the guy did not even call till we asked what happened to our order, the order was chicken in a box which menu said it has 6 pieces, chicken in my box had 2 breasts 1 wing and 1 leg. When I asked the guy at the counter said that the sign is wrong. Wow... Change the sign or give what the menu says or atleast correct it when people order! Came back coz the food was good, but such dumb reasons is unacceptable. The flavor has gone down hill as well their most spicy one was bland and salty in places, not coming back here again.

Awesome service and food. Visiting family and this was my first visit. Would definitely come back. Chicken was cooked thoroughly and the mac and cheese was southern styled.
