Food: Oysters were even better than when I went to Maryland in October, kudos! I ordered 30, just for myself. And the hot honey chicken sandwich (not pictured, sorry) was so good, my fiancé thought it was a sin to enjoy something that amazing. He'd replicate the Proper sauce if he could.
The local small-batch hot sauces with the oysters were a great touch than just Tabasco.
Drinks: I did non-alcoholic drinks because I have a long drive to Covington. Anyway, their lemonade is the way every lemonade should taste, it's sweet but not gritty, and surprisingly smooth without the instant tartness/ sourness.
Stepped Out was very different, in the best way. It's the definition of just enough citrus and rides out smooth with the green tea, and the refreshing bubbly crisp.
Service: One waiter and one waitress, both very friendly and kind. They're quick on their feet, never forgot about us, and always talked with a smile. Definitely worth noting.
The atmosphere was casual, it is a little dark and I think it makes for a slightly more intimate feel. It's surprisingly quiet enough, considering being on the corner of Madison Ave. Enjoyed seeing a painting of Rich's back in the day, serves as a reminder how successful this business has been. And rightfully so.
