The 23 Essential Restaurants in Cincinnati

"Rich’s owner, Bill Whitlow, is a veteran of the hospitality industry, opening the Wiseguy Lounge speakeasy concept for Goodfella’s Pizzeria in three locations across two states. In his first solo outing, he created Rich’s inside an old watch shop in downtown Covington, serving up American pub fare with a Creole twist, with dishes like broiled oysters, braised pork lettuce wraps, and Kentucky bluegrass jambalaya. Rich’s also stocks an extensive collection of Kentucky’s native spirit, making it a must-stop for bourbon lovers." - Andy Brownfield

Fun fun fun food and nice place. I enjoyed the fish n chips $19. The only thing I didn’t like was that the batter was a bit too mushy on the inside so I peeled it off. The codfish was gigantic and the fish was fresh. The fries (sidewinders) were the most unique cut I ever saw. And they were crispy on the outside and the potato was smooth almost like mashed potatoes on the inside. The coleslaw was very healthy and included cabbage, carrots, fresh scallion. Great ambience. The waitress was lovely. I liked having a full carafe of water at my table so I didn't have to ask for more water. Wednesdays they have 50% off oysters! And they have that boiled Parmesan garlic and cheese oyster ... yummy.

This was our first time trying Rich's proper food and drinks. We went there for a friend's bday and they were pretty good with reservations. We started with a few drinks off their menu and everyone really loved their drinks. We then ordered the appetizers which were ahhmaazing. The corn fritters were the highlight for me. The black eyed peas hummus and the veggie wings were also really good. For our main course I tried the Chicken Philly which was equally good as the rest of the food. The Tofu Banh Mi is a great and filling option for the vegetarian. The marinated tofu was really flavorful. Our friends ordered the Hot Honey Chicken, shrimp and grits and the smoked cheddar bacon burger. And everyone was really happy with their food. The entrees do come with plenty of great side options which makes up for their higher prices. Our server also took great care of us. I would have given them a 4.5 if I could. We will definitely come back !!

Google
I had a lovely lunch here. Service was good. Menu is limited but we’ll curated. They have fresh oysters. And specials on oysters on Wednesdays, starting at 4pm. The Hot honey chicken sandwich was delicious. The only downside to a the parking situation (admittedly, there was a lot of road construction ongoing, early May 2024). A bonus: good amount of outdoor seating (picnic tables and regular tables, with umbrellas for the sun).

Google
My husband and I went there for lunch. They weren’t very busy very nice atmosphere. The bartender was also our waitress and I ordered the hot honey fried chicken sandwich with the fries and a side of collard greens and let me tell you the sandwich is amazing. Really really good. I don’t have a picture, but my husband got the fish and chips and I want to say it’s the best fish I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be going back.

Google
Small but impressive brunch menu. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The honey bee salad was delicious and the beets were some of the best we've tasted. The spicy bloody mary was really good. Intimate atmosphere. Cute area of Covington.

Vicki Smith

Google
Went for an early dinner so got some happy hour deals. The food was great, cocktails perfect, service awesome! I can't have dairy and they know exactly what is in every item, and can make many items vegan. They told me every cocktail is dairy free because the bartenders have a dairy allergy too! Yay! Will be back! Really enjoyed the patio too!

Google
Great little place with lots of options for beverages and eats. I was lucky to come in on American Bourbon night so that got me 25% off. My waiter was very knowledgeable and helped me with selecting a bourbon. His recommendation was spot on. As for dinner I had shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it as well.

Brent Wentzel

Google
Like the draft beer selection. Small bar atmosphere. Our third time visiting was a charm. Much better service experience. Pictured is the shrimp and grits and the braised pork lettuce wraps. Order the shrimp and grits. It is outstanding. Great flavor. Not bland. The acoustics make this place very loud when it is full.

Yelp
I went for brunch and split the breakfast burrito and French toast with a side of bacon. The bacon was perfectly crispy and I really enjoyed their take on French toast as it came with a caramel sauce. The burrito was stuffed to the max and had a really tasty green sauce! I could have had a tad more sauce on it but all in all it was one of the better breakfast burritos I've had flavor wise. Sitting outside was really enjoyable and no complaints on the service! I'd recommend for brunch.

Yelp
Mother's Day Eve dinner. Food was very good. Service was great, attentive but not invasive. Shared a couple appetizers and each had an entree and a drink. We'll be back. Great experience. I somehow didn't get a picture of my chorizo oysters, but they were delicious

Yelp
Loved the old school feel of this place which appears to be a rehabbed store. The menu is small but a nice variety of items. The hot honey chicken (available 3 different ways) was really flavorful and delicious. It got crowded quickly on a Monday for lunch, but the server did a great job of being attentive. The cocktail menu looked awesome and I can't wait to come back and try them.

Yelp
Love everything about Rich's! Party of one on a Saturday before the dinner rush and it was a perfect visit. Seated right away, order taken within minutes and recommendations on a delicious mocktail. Chopped Salad might have taken over my top tri-state salad... I think I officially have a new favorite. The everything bagel spices were the cherry on top. I was skeptical with the alcohol-free sparking wine, peach, green tea mocktail but oh my it was delish! Can't wait to bring my husband back for a proper date night- he will be pleased with all of the gluten free options.

Yelp
Great great place. We had the best of time and the best off food at Rich's Proper. Half priced oysters on Wednesday is a must. They make and carry the best of liquors for your mixed drinks. Outside seating is at its best to take in Covingtons atmosphere and people watch. Friendly staff and great service. I recommend this place to try if your looking for good food and great atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped here on a whim and it did not disappoint. It's a smaller place so you may need to wait, but there is bar seating. It was SO HOT in there, so it didn't feel like the air was circulating, but that may just have been that it was hot outside. I loved the drink I had - gin base and strawberry. The fried chicken sandwich with hot honey was delicious and I want to have it again. I also love the seasoned fries. The Philly was just ok. The service was awesome. I accidentally knocked my drink over and our waitress was there to help clean it up instantly. They also remade my drink and which was very kind. For sure want to go back.

Yelp
I give a lot of five star reviews because the only places I bothered to write are the ones that I give five stars to. This place checks all the boxes for me: good food, good drinks, great servers, eclectic vibe.

Yelp
This place was great! We were in town for a wedding and this was right across from our hotel. We started with the hummus. I'm a big fan of any type of hummus so I may be biased, but theirs was amazing! The chips served with it were perfect and crispy as well. For entrees, I got the chicken ranch wrap. It was super tasty and filling. The rest of the table got the fish and chips and the jambalaya, which both received great reviews as well. I also got a drink named Rosemary's Berry which was the perfect amount of strong while also being nice to sip on. I would definitely come back if we ever find ourselves back in Covington! The service was kind and attentive as well, and the place just felt cozy.

Yelp
What a phenomal spot! I can't wait to go back soon. From the endless options at the bar to the quick service with personable staff they really make you feel at home. It is a casual restaurant with a clean environment. There isn't too many tables so they do take reservations on open table if you know you're wanting to go and plan ahead! I took the waitresses recommendation and ordered the chicken philly and let me tell you that was amazing. I basically inhaled it! It was warm when it came out and just delightful in every bite. My fiance got the shrimp and grits and also said it was fresh and delicious. The Chorizo Broiled Oysters we to die for and that's coming from someone that doesn't typically love oysters!!! We can not wait to come back and order this all again and try something new!! If you're in the area this is the place to be!

Yelp
We've been wanting to try Rich's for a while and we weren't disappointed! We started off with their corn fritters for our appetizer and they were great! Creamy and tasty! We ordered shrimp and grits and salmon stuffed with scallops special. Both dishes were delectable! Ordered a couple of cocktails, which were strong and very tasty! Our server was very attentive and knew the menu well to give recommendations! Unfortunately, they did not have desserts. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. They also had a nice outdoor patio with tables/umbrellas as a seating option. We'll definitely return in the future and we highly recommend Rich's to you!

Yelp
Everything was amazing!! I love the black eyed pea hummus!! Customer service was great!!

Yelp
Holy amigo, this place was on fire. Everything I tried was a 5/5. Soulful and flavorful, not a drop was left on the plates. We had the oyster appetizer and I wish calories weren't a thing or I'd have had 2 orders as my entree! Haha got the shrimp and grits and went to heaven with the first bite. Seriously though, so you think they have food in heaven because if they do this has to be on the menu. GET ON IT CHEF.

Yelp
Rich's has been on my list for a long time and glad I was able to finally check it out! I really liked the vibe of the whole place, drinks, food, and location. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Granted, they were slammed because it was Friday night, but the little things like bringing water to our table, checking in, and grabbing our checks to cash us out were overlooked. Ultimately, it was a good experience and I would definitely revisit if I was in the area looking for a trendy cocktail. They have an EXTENSIVE list that is worth exploring and has something for everyone. I'd recommend Rich's if you want a casual, elevated cocktail and appetizer experience.

Yelp
This is a great location next to Braxton brewery, across the street from Agave and Rye, The Well.... The jambalaya and the Honey Bee salad were really very good. Service was prompt but not rushed. It's a cool place to eat and go check out the neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
Four star prices with 2 star food. The service was great. Sierra and Josh were very personable. The bar was populated, but the restaurant was dead. We were the only table. The next table to come in, I wanted to tell them to go elsewhere! Our bill was $100 with no alcohol. Ridiculous. The food was just "eh". We could have eaten someplace else and actually gotten full for half the price. The chef needs to taste an oyster every day to ensure they aren't spoiled. The Canadians were in my , I've eaten a lot of oysters. I broke my rule to not eat at a restaurant where it isn't busy. Just down the block, Kung-food (Asian) was slammed. I love that place. The decor of Richs is great, the service was great, but the food at their price was not up to par.
google avatar

Wendy K.

Yelp
A caramel old fashioned?!?! Oh my what an amazing experience. Plus a couple of vegan food offerings to eat while having cocktails with friends. Love the vibe and space. Just fun and a cool place to hang out. The bar is a bit small but the dining room is a bit more spacious. Service was top notch. Our server knew the menu and made recommendations to help us make our decisions as to what to order. I will definitely return. Highly recommend

Yelp
A little torn on this one. Great service and drinks with a rather unique menu mix. Only disappointment was the bahn mi which was more like a soggy pulled pork sandwich with some fresh cilantro. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food hence the 4 stars.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
Great local place for a quick elevated meal that's not too fancy but is much better than your typical casual dining chains. The Buffalo cauliflower appetizer is better than any version I've tried anywhere else. The homemade salad dressings are fantastic, really good potatoes wedges and they have a great bar.

June M.

Yelp
Our first time stop didn't disappoint at all. We were picking up family in Cincinnati and need to have good place to eat for Xmas dinner. Feedback from yelp was so good based on that we tried . There were mishap on our appetizer didn't come before entree but quickly fixed and being out appetizer and re fired our entree. Great service and good was exceptional. Oyster was fresh , jambalaya was to die for. Port wraps was very light and pork tastes awesome . Chicken finger & fries. They were fried up crisp and fries was absolutely awesome. All in all this one of joint I like to come back and highly recommend !

Yelp
Food: Oysters were even better than when I went to Maryland in October, kudos! I ordered 30, just for myself. And the hot honey chicken sandwich (not pictured, sorry) was so good, my fiancé thought it was a sin to enjoy something that amazing. He'd replicate the Proper sauce if he could. The local small-batch hot sauces with the oysters were a great touch than just Tabasco. Drinks: I did non-alcoholic drinks because I have a long drive to Covington. Anyway, their lemonade is the way every lemonade should taste, it's sweet but not gritty, and surprisingly smooth without the instant tartness/ sourness. Stepped Out was very different, in the best way. It's the definition of just enough citrus and rides out smooth with the green tea, and the refreshing bubbly crisp. Service: One waiter and one waitress, both very friendly and kind. They're quick on their feet, never forgot about us, and always talked with a smile. Definitely worth noting. The atmosphere was casual, it is a little dark and I think it makes for a slightly more intimate feel. It's surprisingly quiet enough, considering being on the corner of Madison Ave. Enjoyed seeing a painting of Rich's back in the day, serves as a reminder how successful this business has been. And rightfully so.

Yelp
The service was friendly and welcoming from start to finish! I was alone, sat at the bar. Staff was very cool and laid back but prompt. I had an old fashioned, black eyed pea hummus and baked oysters. My drink was on point, can't wait for next visit to try the cherry old fashioned. The hummus was good, I don't like traditional so I wanted to try this and it was a nice variation. The oysters were delicious. They were big, seasoned and prepared perfectly. Can't wait to come on Wednesday for oyster specials.
google avatar

Crissi K.

Yelp
We were there for Sunday brunch. Large table. Great service, great drinks, loved the oysters and the chicken sandwich!
google avatar

Susie M.

Yelp
We had a reservation which I suggest you get if going on Wednesday nights. We had a wonderful high booth table and service was quick and lovely. We came here for 1$ oyster night without any set expectations. Sizes varied and they're decent for their price and being in Ohio. Have had more flavorful oysters elsewhere but honestly a really good deal. The fish and chips did NOT disappoint. The fries were pillowy and soft on the inside with a crisp skin. The fish stayed crispy and very flavorful! I would highly recommend. I'm team fish n chips over shrimp n grits but do what you will
google avatar

Yelp
Ate here for burger week. Great burger for the event was a French onion burger, which was a play on a French onion soup with caramelized onion, Swiss cheese and a wine jus. Absolutely delectable. We also ordered the Hot Honey chicken sandwich. Which was perfect, juicy and tender, great crisp and had a good flavor. I would have taken a little more spice with it, but the chicken was so good it barely mattered. Since I didn't have jury duty, we got a couple of drinks to go with our dinner. We ordered The Sazerac (a tad too sweet) and the Mai-Tai (perfect for a 90° summer day) and left hoping to try a bunch of the other options based on how much we enjoyed these. We will be sure to be back to this place and enjoy some other options on the regular menu. One last note, It was exceptionally busy for a Thursday with people pouring out the door and only 2 waiters working , and they deserve a special mention for keeping up and providing great service through it all!
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
We went here during burger week. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. The burger was probably my favorite burger week burger. Our waiter recommended the fries and he was not wrong. Their sour was Ace' Guava which spoke to my Puerto Rican heart. The prices were reasonable as well.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Great spot for craft cocktails! Wide variety of cocktails + a full bar, so you can order whatever your heart desires. The bartenders are very talented and friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're trying to find a place to grab Sunday brunch, look no further! Get in your car and head to Rich's Prosper. We were beyond pleasantly surprised with the whole experience, which the boyfriend deemed an enthusiastic A+. I started out with a cup of coffee, and he got the Bloody Mary, which was exactly how he likes them: thick, peppery, with a hint of steak sauce. It was a little saltier than i generally prefer and had loads of celery flavor (full disclosure: I do not like raw celery, so if you like raw celery, do not let my opinion deter you from ordering it). As for the food, I got the eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon (which was an additional $5 for a couple of thin slices) and the honey bee salad. The hollandaise sauce was delish, buttery and slightly lemony. The Honey Bee Salad was delightful. The roasted apples and seeds added the right amount of sweet and crunch, which balanced out the saltiness of the whipped feta. All in all, the meal was excellent, although as much as I love Canadian bacon/ham on my eggs Bennie, but don't know that the amount I got was worth the additional $5. The BF got the Brunch Burger with breakfast potatoes and loved it all. Everything else we saw come out for other tables looked great too. I'll be getting the Brunch Burrito next time cuz it looked reeeeeeal good. All in all, I'd highly recommend Rich's Prosper for Sunday Brunch. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Came here with friends before a concert at Ovation. Staff was very helpful and friendly, we had to wait a bit before ordering because friends were getting stuck in traffic. It was ~5:00 and not too busy, it'd be interesting to see how crowded it gets later because there's not a ton of dining area. The place is also split into two areas, one for the bar and the other for dining. So if you walk in the corner door, like I did, walk around the bar area to get to dining. The menu has a variety but isn't overwhelming. I had the jumbalaya and enjoyed it very much!
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Ok i want to give 5 stars BUT the noise level in here can be draining. The food and drinks were great, it's just a small vibe and everyones voices echo off the wall and it's hard to hear the person next to you. The oyster shooter was a new one. It's like a bloody mary shot basically with the oyster in it. Had good peppered flavor but if you are a texture person that could be a little challenging. Food. Was really good. So if you catch it on a not so busy night there may not be as much noise.
google avatar

Roger H.

Yelp
This is such a wonderful spot to grab a drink. Whether you are posting up for the whole night or just making it one of many stops, make sure to include this spot! Oyster shooters are

Yelp
Went here for Clue themed pub crawl. Awesome time great food, little pricy!! Try their bourbon slushie!

Yelp
Enjoyed a quick dinner Friday night. We were going to a play in Covington & looking for a casual restaurant. Luckily we were able to walk by and see many people enjoying meals at Rich's. We both had the fish & chips and were pleased with our choices. Large portions & very tasty fish. Great service & friendly staff as well.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
This is a gem. It's 5 blocks from the convention center so it's a reasonable walk at most times. I took a group of 12 in and had fantastic food with exceptional service. Several of us had fish and chips with the house version of French fries and were amazed how tasty it was. Especially the "fries". Had to get an extra serving of something I almost never eat. Good selection of beers but a staggering collection of bourbons. 400+ available, with some in casks. Small dining area so reservations are probably a must. Not too loud and not pleasant ambiance.
google avatar

Katarina S.

Yelp
Your typical neighborhood bar. We sat at the bar and had a couple of beers, very good. We got here for the burgers week as other places were packed. The burgers were decent but the fries (home fries) stole the show! I also got collard greens which were very unique and had a hint of sweetness.
google avatar

Harold D.

Yelp
Good service. Unfortunately the bun on my burger was old and cold. Besides that the place have a Nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Cheryl T.

Yelp
We had the black eyed peas hummus with tortilla chips that were "to die for." Then delicious shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Everything is not usually awesome but it DEFINITELY was here. Wonderful staff to make it perfect. Absolutely go again.

Yelp
My Mr and I wanted to dine in at a restaurant that has the best oysters in Cincinnati. My Mr did the research and this was on the top 5 and got really good reviews. We decided to try it. We made reservations at 5:45 on a Saturday. They don't take reservations after 6:00 pm. It was the perfect day to sit outside so we did. We were seated right away and our server was really friendly. We started off with a bottle of J Vineyards Pinot Gris. We figured it would be the right pairing for our meal. Their menu has a great selection! From appetizers, seafood to sandwiches. Great southern style. Also the drink menu is huge! From specialty cocktails, beers on tap and wine. The atmosphere is definitely laid back. The servers are wearing masks and keeping the restaurant clean. We knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered: For Appetizer: Buffalo Cauliflower Wings- marinated crisp cauliflower, carrot, celery, Buffalo sauce and ranch For Dinner: Broiled oysters- 6 Chesapeake oysters, garlic butter, Parmesan, lemon (For me) Oysters on the half shell- Chesapeake and Wildcat Cove oysters served with horseradish, lemon, mignonette, cocktail sauce (My Mr.) Side of Seasoned Fries and Pimento Cheese Grits (we shared). I was blown away with everything! Especially the Buffalo Cauliflower wings! This is my first time trying it and was great with the wing sauce. Both the oysters were fresh, the pimento cheese grits had great flavor and was creamy. The whole experience was awesome and we had a good time. Definitely returning!!
google avatar

Alan G.

Yelp
I was going somewhere else but they were closed so I dropped into this place. Menu was limited and online which I truly hate. To me that is laziness on their part. I was in a mood for a good burger and what I got did not fill the want. I ordered the Pimento burger. The burger was perfectly round so that tells me that wasn't hand made so it either boxed or pre made. The meat was bland, I did like the pimento cheese and the toppings they had on it. For the side I had the red beans and rice. Ir was good, different as they added green onions and I think there was bacon. They had pictures of other burgers but they weren't on the menu. Service was a 4 star but food was a three.
google avatar

Donnie P.

Yelp
We had 7:00 pm reservation on Friday and was our first visit. The food was AMAZING! The service was STELLAR! The craft cocktails were HEAVEN! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Ordered to go as we were playing trivia at braxton brewery. The order was very fast and packed with everything needed including utensils. I got the pimento cheeseburger and it was amazing! Cooked perfectly and I got a side of their proper slaw. That slaw was so good. My wife got chicken fingers with a side of fries. Everything was great and next time I would like to dine in as the inside was very nice and would make a great date night.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
We visited Rich's for lunch on a whim and everything was excellent! The fish & chips were perfectly cooked with house made tartar sauce. I made the mistake of trying the chips before taking a photo... which led to me eating most of them before actually taking it. The chicken tenders were also great and cooked perfectly. We opted for the house made honey mustard sauce which is dangerously good, especially with the chips/fries. My wife loved the B.A. Salad plus chicken tenders. We'll definitely go back to sample more of the menu!
google avatar

Terri O.

Yelp
So glad to find this place on Yelp! Drinks were amazing, innovative flavors. Rosemary's Berry is a must try. Hubby had shrimp with pasta, he was very pleased. I had the shrimp with grits - shrimp with slender, tender asparagus and fresh tomatoes over grits in a perfect sauce, I will be dreaming of this for a long time. Great service (so refreshing, it's been a long time since I've been able to say that), server was prompt, friendly, and helpful.
google avatar

Felencia B.

Yelp
Highly recommended after being recommended to my husband and I! Located in downtown Covington at the corner of Madison, this restaurant did not disappoint. We started with a "hot girl summer" Slushy that was bourbon based, and a "pain don't hurt" served in a very cute tiki glass. Both yummy! For dinner we had the Kentucky bluegrass jambalaya and the Nashville hot chicken. Both were savory and delicious! We topped it all off with a caramel glazed bourbon brownie recommended by our awesome waiter Anthony. We will most definitely be back here in the near future!
google avatar

Kali K.

Yelp
I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant! I'm so impressed by this little restaurant on one of the main streets in downtown Covington! We made our reservation for 6 people on a Friday night at 7:15. Knowing my friends and how we're always late, I changed the reservation to 8:30, no problem. We ended up showing up closer to 9pm (see aforementioned), got seated at our reserved table, no problem. The bartender and wait staff was so friendly and conscious about our friend's birthday but also the kitchen closing soon (10:30p). The drink menu had plenty of interesting cocktails for us to try and the food ended up being small plates/lunch portions but they were very good and we were able to share to try more items. We got the chicken sliders and buffalo cauliflower wings and I'd get them again! I loved this restaurant, I'll be adding it to my list of regular places, and it was a short walk back to Mainstrasse where there are even more bars and restaurants to explore if you're looking to bar/restaurant hop!

Roseanne K.

Yelp
I would like to say that Rich's Proper is a great place...I totally understand their rules and am more than happy to go along with them. Burger Week shows you what each restaurant offers...I wouldn't go somewhere that i disliked their burger. Rich's burger was one of the best I have ever tasted...in fact, since they only serve this burger during Burger Week, we are planning on skipping another place and coming back to Rich's again. If you aren't happy with the rules, go somewhere else. Otherwise, put on your big boy pants and suck it up. Nice ambiance & great service from Nelson also...great place

Starr K.

Yelp
It was okay, pork Lettuce wraps were average Shrimp on shrimp And grits tough and small gravy was to tart and vinegar tasting

Yelp
The food was excellent. We had the broiled oysters. They were to die for.. promise. The service was excellent the lady bartender made me a Bloody Mary that was the "best I ever had". The ambiance was inviting. I have one issue. I called before I went and asked to reserve a table. The person on the phone very matter factly said, they are booked solid for the night and don't make same day reservations. So I asked should we come anyway, he said yes we have bar seating. First come, first serve. I said ok. We went and got a seat at the bar. I noticed that people were coming in without a reservation and they were being seated in the main dining room area. I thought, it would have been nice for him to say well, if you come and we have seating we will seat you. Not we are booked solid fir the night. If no seating is available THEN we have bar seating. Whose answering the phone is important.. ijs

Yelp
Have to say I enjoyed this place. Nice location in Covington and cool outdoor seating. We came for burger week and the burger was solid, not life changing. Side salad was delicious with the house made blue cheese dressing. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Love this place!! Great cocktails and delicious original twists on familiar favorites. Especially recommend the shrimp & grits and KY Jambalaya... although they make a pretty epic burger as well. If you're really feeling adventurous, try the oyster shooter with the weird green sauce. Best I've ever had!

Yelp
First time here. Had a couple drinks, an appetizer and dinner. It was a great experience! Mushroom tempura was our appetizer. Local mushrooms were prepared in a tempura batter served with a house made dijonnaise dipping sauce. The dish was adorned with small red grape like peppers. This paired perfectly with my wife's Chardonnay and my Zombie Dust. Braxton Bavarian lager battered fish (cod) and chips was my entree. It was served with seasoned wide curly fries and house made coleslaw. The piece of fish was off the plate in size and taste. My wife had the Kentucky Bluegrass "Jambalaya". It featured chicken, andouille sausage and country ham. Served with a piece of garlic bread this will be lunch tomorrow as well. We met the owner (Will) who was working hard taking food to the tables. Our server was completely dialed in and was prompt and on point all night. Everyone has great attitudes and has long tenure which is the sign of a great establishment. Check it out!
