Rift Wine Bar & Taphouse

What a great find! The concept is amazing. They partner with food trucks (tonight we had Comfort Nourishment… and it was incredible) bring in small batch wine and beers and have created a fun and inviting atmosphere! Hang out and play games, enjoy amazing drinks, and try new foods. Everyone was so friendly too—staff but also patrons. Felt like a community. Highly recommended and when we find ourselves here again we will be back!

Our favorite weekly haunt! We love Ryan, Connor, and Grace — as we’re here at least two times a week or more. Phenomenal service, atmosphere is perfect for hanging out with friends/gaming/working remotely. This is truly our favorite bar in the valley! Cheers ❤️

Was in Scottsdale for a week and ended up hanging out at the Rift Wine Bar & Taphouse a few evenings. Great tap beer selection from local and other breweries. Huge wine selection and for a small corkage fee they will open a bottle and you can enjoy it there. They have a sound recording room and host a podcast here as well. We stuck to beer on this trip but when we come back will try out some of their wines. Seemed like a lot of regulars hangout here and I can see why!

We have been going to Rift for some time, we live in the are and have family close. Their beer selection is incredible, with something to suit every taste. The rotating food truck options are a nice touch. The bar service is great--friendly, fast, and knowledgeable about the beer lineup. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or unwind after a long day. If you're a craft beer lover, Rift is a must-visit!

We usually visit Rift when the RandomAf food truck is serving dinner outside -- the best birria!! But Rift has a great selection on tap and in cans that you can take home. They also have board games and plenty of tables to accommodate guests. When the weather is nice, it's nice to have the option to eat outside, but the ambience is definitely better inside, not next to the busy road.

Rift is a super legit spot. I live pretty close by and today we took a scooter ride over. This place is neighboring one of my favorite hot yoga spots, and the optimal situation is a yoga class to detox then hop over to rift for a beer or wine ;) Rift has an excellent selection of beers on tap with some of my faves- Pure Project, Revision, and Wren House. They also have great can selection. The staff/ owners are super friendly and it's a very beautiful space that is comfortable and esthetically pleasing. They have some really great food trucks during the week and it can get pretty busy for those after work hours.

This is an awesome wine/beer room. They have plenty of great options to drink. They have bar, table and lounge seating with plenty of fun board games. My wife and I loved having a cute date night here. The staff are super friendly and helpful with any questions. They also seem to have a recording room in the back. Still curious about how they use that. ‍

Leaving a shout out to Henry the hot dog guy!! Not sure if he works here but his hot dog stand is in the parking lot. I unfortunately got a flat tire and happened to pull over right next to the hot dog stand and Henry didn't even hesitate to offer to help and put my spare on for me! Great service!!

We visit Rift regularly with the Aravaipa running group. The bartenders are so knowledgeable about their current tap list so I always just order "the best hazy ipa you have". They have never steered me wrong. We had our running holiday party there this week and the service and atmosphere were exceptional as always. Can't recommend enough

Fun spot to stop in for a beer or two. Plenty of seating around the bar, high top tables and at couches. My guy and I enjoy bringing our vegan take out from Green (across the street) here and having a drink while eating. Good team behind the bar that knows their beers and will recommend things if asked. No food made in the bar, but they seem to have food trucks parked here most of the time.

If u judge a book by its cover, u're definitely missing out on this place! The outside appearance doesn't look like much, but take a leap and jump inside! There's a super cool vibe and refreshing feel waiting for u! They have couches for u to slouch on as low as u wanna go! My first time ever trying a wine called Bobal and what ever house brand they carry, it was YUMMY! I'm no wine connoisseur, so u'll have to try it for yourself! We closed down the place and the bartender was super patient & cool about it! I'll definitely catch another rift of this place soon!

So thankful to live just a short walk away from Rift! I've gone twice now and I've had a lovely experience both times. If you're lucky there might even be a food truck outside when you drop in! They have an excellent selection of drinks on tap and so many more to choose from in their fridge. My partner was so happy to see they had one of his favorite IPAs from one of our favorite breweries in San Diego! The atmosphere is nice and the staff are so friendly. I can't wait to spend more time here!

This part of Scottsdale just keeps getting better! This month this addition is is the perfect complement to this burgeoning neighborhood. Placed right next to the now defunct Rouge Bar, steps from The Hiltons new Bixby Hotel, and in an old Korean Liquor store shell is this town newest cool spot to drink expertly crafted beers, and a solid selection of wines . The place kind of looks sparse but that's by design of todays standards keeping us at our distance, but it does get busy, as its no longer a secret. The large bank of beer coolers have a huge variety of amazing beers including my favorites from Second Chance in San Diego! Create a 6 pack to go or order any to drink in house. Wines are similar they have a great selection of well chosen wine at just the right price. Grab a bottle and they will open it up for you, choose from a sturdy list of by the glass, or mix and match a few to go, most for 2 for TWENTY BUCKS! What!? The owners are real wine guys but have certainly not ignored us beer drinkers. Nary a bud light insight but that just goes to show they are all about quality over quantity. The crowd is mostly from the hood or on the way home from a shift of bartending or waiting tables. Everyone so far is pretty chill and friendly especially the owners Jonathon and Damien. Pro tip: Have the chef at work make you some carry out and pair it with the most relaxed wine list in The Valley or even some In and Out to pair with some hazy IPA's as food options here are still a little limited. They seem pretty relaxed about bringing in your own food. All I have to say about Rift is, all this good stuff, if you have been displaced by Papago's closing try this, and Welcome to my block!

One of our new favorite local stops! Rift opened a few months ago and we're so glad they're here! The owners are absolutely amazing and so kind, they all try to remember everyone's names (as we are all neighbors), and are so outgoing. They've partnered with food trucks that park out front, and have an amazingly designed bar that is meant for people to talk to each other. We've been here quite a few times now and have always enjoyed the company. Would absolutely recommend coming here if you're in the area, I love that Damian and Troy are all about local everything. It's refreshing to have such a modern and open space to hangout and meet new people. When we were last here we were talking to Damian about new things coming, Rift is definitely a place you're going to want to keep an eye on (in the best way).

Always great. Whether it's attending a unique wine tasting or just popping in to try something unique from their wine and/or beer selections, Rift is an awesome go to spot. Staff here is amazing. Always willing to spend a moment of time for a recommendation or just some fun conversation. I also appreciate Rift's commitment to bringing in food trucks.

Good prices, friendly staff (including the owners who are regularly there), and challenging Monday Night Trivia. Rotating food truck outside, and you're welcome to eat your food inside. Great place to meet friends.

This is a great place to stop in for a beer or glass of wine. There beer on tap and can selection is excellent. This visit I had a Sticky Hands IPA from Block 15 and it was awesome. The service is friendly and as good as the beer!

Love Rift! Great neighborhood spot very chill vibes and great variety of rotating beers. Love the cooler options too for to go. There are often food trucks to grab a bite too which is a nice addition and cool because the food can vary depending what truck is there. I love taking friends here

A very homey style bar with lots of TLC! We were staying near by so we decided to walk in, we greeted by one of the owners "Troy" Who was as helpful as can be. He made sure we felt comfortable and we're in an ambiance that was as appeasing as possible. The drinks were decently priced and the food truck outside was good too, we were also told food from anywhere could be brought in too. We stayed for a little but I definitely wish we stayed longer because it was a very laid back comfy bar that makes you feel right at home.

This is definitely my favorite bar. The owners and staff are wonderful humans and this place reflects the better side of phoenix. Stop in, grab a craft beer or some really good wine, listen to the best non top40 music you can find. The atmosphere is perfectly suited to those of us who spend long hours at work and just need a good place to relax and enjoy a couple cold ones. 10/5 stars love it here.

Good beer. Good vibes. Good people. We were the very first customers to be able to try the nitro tap they'd just installed!! I felt honored ‍ They have Drekkers "braaaains" which is like a thick beer smoothie, it was too good. Definitely became a quick favorite and I try to purchase one wherever I see them being sold now. They also sell cans/bottles to-go and have a nice seating area. Cool place, check it out. Support more local businesses that also support local businesses!

Absolutely love going to Rift! Damien, Jonathan, and Troy are always super friendly and more than willing to make recommendations on anything you could want. The drinks and people are amazing. What more could you ask for?

This place is really cool. Good music and good vibes and great beer! solid draft selection with a nice variety of beers. They have a huge cooler full of cool craft beers. Their wine section is legit. Really digging the wall of wine crates that spell their name.

Great brewery! Spacious, social vibes. A handful of beers and wines on tap. I recommend the Skittles sour. You won't be disappointed!

I love this spot. The beer and wine is fabulous, the owners are so friendly and put so much love and effort into their business. They've got an awesome line up of food trucks and are always thinking of ways to create a fun environment for their guests!

I wish I would have had this place here when I lived in this neighborhood. This simple but awesome spot offers a lax environment with good music and an all inclusive accepting environment to all who come. Great wine and and beer prices and a great selection of them that you can purchase to take home with you. Swing by some night and check this place out sometime.

Went to the wine tasting event yesterday. Amazing presentation, Distributor was knowledgeable, friendly, and had us all engaged. As always the Rift team were outstanding hosts!

This place is awesome. When you need a place to go after a long day this is the spot! The owners are chill and you can tell they love having a space for people to come relax, hang with friends and making new ones, play games, drink amazing beers and it helps they have food trucks available almost nightly! So happy this place is just a walk away!

Incredible beer selection and great vibes! It's not uncommon to see Damien and John (the owners) slinging drinks and chatting it up on their podcast in their in-house studio too. They also have their wine game on point!! Hitting the nail on the head in all facets of a good neighborhood beer bar/bottle shop.

So glad I checkout our this new place across the street! Just opened up a few weeks ago, they have an absolutely killer beer and wine selection and a very local vibe! They serve chips and salsa, but you can order grub hub or bring food in if you are hungry. Bartenders are super friendly, we'll definitely be back soon.

Best place in AZ to get good wine and beer! Service is awesome and decor is fun! It is a must visit if you are looking for beer and wine not in the grocery stores.

This is such a great space to hang out and indulge your taste buds with good beer or wine if that tickles your fancy. They have large coolers full of beer to go too! They have different food trucks in the parking lot so you can feast too. If you aren't feeling the food truck, bring your own grub!

Great spot to hangout and have some drinks. They have bottles of wine you get to go, drink there & cork later. There is a fridge that has all kinds of different beers and you can mix & match your own 4 or 6 pack OR grab one and drink it there! Then the bar area has a big variety on tap. The two owners are super friendly! Gives the place a great neighborhood vibe. No food there but you can bring in outside food & owners said they will start having food trucks. Couple TVs around the bar also if you want to watch sports. Super impressed & it's a great addition to the neighborhood.

This, place.. Well. Yeah sure there are drink houses around. bar, wine.. you can find anywhere.. But, let me say this. Class & Chill vibes. A staff that is interested in being friendly.. A beer list EVER Changing and always fresh and poppin!! I like the no. 10. It's heffe. Rn. Come in down they are open all the time!! The Vibes Yo!!

This place is awesome. Nice low key craft beer and wine bar. They have an amazing selection and cool atmosphere. Perfect neighborhood watering hole. The owners/bartenders are awesome and really nice. Definitely recommend.

Cool place with a great beer selection. I did not try any wines, but if the wine list is as good as the beer list, it should be great. Owners work the bar which makes it even better.

Great bar, great staff, great selection. However they leave the doors open letting bugs in and aren't using the ac. More importantly they aren't enforcing distancing AT ALL. I've been in twice and twice I've had a completely stranger sit 5 inches from me, the bartenders don't say a thing and I feel so uncomfortable I end up closing out and leaving right then. Both times I was with other people one of the times we had enough room to move so we had at least a ONE foot buffer. The second time we had two different couples within 1 1/2 feet of us both ways. It was awkward and horrible. We're all dealing with pandemic, some places are just placing their customers health above others. Mark places where no one can sit. Or at LEAST make sure when someone new comes in they don't sit right next to someone. The time we had two couples within 2 feet either way, nothing was said. Once the couple that sat 1 foot away from us sat down the bartender was bs'ing with them, which awesome connect with your customers--but not to the detriment of other customers safety/comfort. Enforce the rules. I came in a third time and asked a man that sat right next to me if he would mind moving down and he acquiesced. I shouldn't have to do that especially with drunk boisterous people that won't move or wear a mask for the safety of everyone else around them. This is the bars responsibility. Enforce your county/city/state rules.

Great Beer, Great vibe and great staff! 25 Beers on tap plus a great selection of cans to drink there or take home. Interesting selection of other drinks as well like sake. I'm sure the wine selection is great as well but, I have yet to dive into that.

I love to go to wine tastings to learn about wines and hopefully find some I like. I went to my first RIFT wine tasting yesterday, 2/3/2022, drop in from 5-8 and I was very impressed. Jonathan was pouring Italian wines from the Piedmont area of Italy. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the wines. It was a wonderful evening. The wines being poured were discounted. The cost to taste was $15 but if you bought one bottle of the five being sampled, you got $10 off. That is extremely reasonable. (Tastings in the Sonoma/Napa CA area average $20.) If you are a wine club member, tastings are free. Ask about their wine club when you are there. They have another wine tasting coming up Thur, 2/17 celebrating wines of Tuscany. That should be phenomenal. I suggest you go to Rift website, www.riftbaraz.com and sign up for their emails. They often have food trucks most days of the week. Damien and Troy also run Rift and all are incredibly knowledgeable about beer and wine. I recommend you check it out for a fun time.
