Right Cream - Review - Denver - The Infatuation

"Here are two reasons why you should seek out Right Cream: First, the newish spot has possibly the best ice cream you’ll ever have. And second, it’s right next to Denver Beer Co., so you can wash down your Oreo toffee and almost-too-salty caramel-laced ice cream with a pint of Love This City pilsner. There’s not a lot of space, but you should take a cone, pint, or one of the over-the-top sundaes to the Denver Beer Co.’s sprawling lawn for maximum ice cream enjoyment." - Allyson Reedy

Google
Yesterday I was craving a breakfast sandwich, so I saw their IG story & decided to stop by. It tasted just as good as it looked! I got it loaded & it was delicious! I came back today & got the smash burger with fries! It was just as good. The ice cream flavor I tried was Oreo Coffee & it was out of this world! I highly recommend this place & can’t wait to come back again!

Google
Excellent ice cream. Definitely on the rich side. Go for the smaller size. As for the building. I believe they're just about out grown this place. You get crammed in with people. The guy serving was awesome. Very patient and never got overwhelmed.

Eric Yeeger

Google
This place was great, awesome flavors and located in a pretty great spot to do other things as well. Scoops for ice cream are getting expensive these days though - standard sized single scoop is over $6. Would definitely be back though when in the area. The flavors here are mint.

Google
Way way back in the pandemic days I was one of the people who would get ice cream from the backlot of King Soopers from David. I had remembered reading that he had opened up a shop but for whatever reason I never looked into where it was located. So imagine the wonderful surprise it was to me, to realize the shop was right in my neighborhood I had just moved too! Not only that but now they also have burgers. The burger was crispy yet juicy! The fries are also seasoned well and crispy. I got the Cookies and C.R.E.A.M ice cream and I love the toffee Oreos chunks in it so much!

Google
The ice cream flavors are phenomenal! The smashburger stands with the best in the city. The team running the place automatically makes everyone feel like community.

Google
Best smash burger in Denver . Crispy, juicy xtra slutty. Pickles are delicious, little sweetness ties in the salty mayo’y balance of the sauce. The Patty is bigger than my bun and curled like a witches nail . Recommend 10000/10 …… 9$ for the double …………

Tess W

Google
Cute tiny ice cream shop with awesome friendly staff, unique flavors and toppings (hello Cheeze-It toffee!), and smash burgers that are like nothing we've ever had! They are the absolute BEST burgers in town - smashed, juicy, perfectly greasy, with crispy edges, and a perfect bun.

Madison Maes

Google
Do not shy away from any ice cream that may sound weird, like the sweet cream with cheeze-its, they're all so good. The wait for the burgers or any other food special is worth it. The place is a bit small and Denver Beer Company leaves all their trash and empty glasses near their space, so they deserve a larger building.

Yelp
The description of inventive and unique hit the nail right on the head. A very inviting environment, you walk right in and KB is ready to help you through the tough decisions that lie ahead. While a small(er) selection, I promise you that it'll be hard to choose from the delicious flavors available. Not to worry, however, you can get a "flight" of 4 scoops for $12 which is absolutely worth the value. If the line isn't too long, KB got you with samples. What was really impressive (other than the fact that the flavors are so creative and get so eclectic - just check out attached photo for super creative flavors that are specially made for pint orders) is that just simply looking at the ice cream, you know you're going to get quality ingredients. No highlighter colors from dye - just the color that comes from the mixture of main ingredients. Everything made in house, with quality ingredients. While we're only visiting, o truly do look forward to coming back! Pro Tips: A free topping comes with each order, and if you're interested in the cookie sandwiches, the sooner the better on Friday as they're made fresh earlier in the week.

Yelp
I've been following @rightcream since 2021 and I was finally able to check them out! After three years in the making, I'm so annoyed at myself that I waited so long. The vibe is super casual and welcoming too! Their ice cream is smooth, silky, creamy, and full of flavor. They also have the funnest flavors which makes the whole thing even better. MY ORDER: double scoop of chocolate ice cream (my all time favorite ice cream flavor) and English toffee stracciatella with hot fodge (first topping is free!). I also got two pints to go: Hawk Tuah (banana ice cream with white chocolate swirls) and Punkberry (black cherry strawberry ice cream with Oreo toffee chunks). BEST BITE: can you go wrong with ice cream? Every bite was

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem!! My husband and I came here with my parents for some ice cream and we decided to get earl gray, vanilla, strawberry lemon and the chocolate ice cream - every flavour was good, nothing very strong just how I like it. The strawberry lemon was the flavour of the day and I know it may not sound great but it was probably one of the nicer flavours I've had in a long time. We also got a pup cup for our dog. I'm really glad we stopped by and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I don't know if this was truly part of the plan when Right Cream opened next to DBC, but it means you can have your duck fat fries & ice cream, and eat it too. The space isn't large but there's some outside seating to share your treats, such as the mix-in offerings that are sold only as pints. Also-- I'm not lactose-intolerant but still appreciate their jar of free lactase pills!
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
We tried four flavors and they were all wonderful. Such thoughtful touches like a free lactose pill and a free topping with each scoop! Prices are reasonable for how high quality the ice cream was - we've certainly found a new spot!
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
Not only do they serve ice cream, but as of now (august 2024) they serve breakfast sandwiches every Saturday! Simple but delicious! They also serve smashburgers every Thursday. Haven't had one yet but have heard great things
google avatar

Ali W.

Yelp
Smashed burgers?! At an ice cream place?! I'm in! Sooo damn delicious. I only eat "smashed" burgers so this was right up my alley. They are super thin - just like I like it, well seasoned and filling. I was actually so full, I couldn't even try the ice cream. Guess I'll have to come back!
google avatar

Aubrey Z.

Yelp
Right cream is a unique and delicious ice cream shop. My two disappointments fall on the price, and the flavors that they show online are not what they have in store. Overall, I would be more likely to recommend getting this ice cream in a pint to go as these flavors are a bit more special and unique than what they have in store. I do enjoy that you get a free topping to the ice cream, however, I find that many of them do not match the ice creams that they had available. Overall, a cute little store with a unique experience and the story behind it all is really quite fascinating. Be sure to read it on their website.

Yelp
When I moved from Charlotte, my favorite ice cream owner recommended I try this spot. Similar to my favorite in Charlotte, the quality here is fantastic. The base is perfectly creamy and delicious on its own. The mix-ins are fantastic. The one thing that isn't my favorite is the ratios of the pints. I've tried 10+ pints and I always feel like there is so much of the crumble mix-in that it really distracts from the ice cream. On the other hand, the swirl mix-in is barely there, so I wish it was more balanced. That being said, all of the components are fantastic, so it's still a great ice cream. I want to try scoops in the shop to see what that's like. I've also tried one of their burgers which is fantastic. They've started making a lot more food and it all looks great--I definitely want to try more.

Yelp
Visiting Right Cream Ice Cream Shop in Denver was an unforgettable experience that left my taste buds dancing with joy. From the moment I walked in, the inviting atmosphere and warm smiles of the staff set the tone for a truly delightful treat. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique ice cream adventure that seamlessly blends unconventional flavors with exceptional customer service. One of the highlights of our visit was indulging in the Palisade Peach sundae - a masterpiece that showcased the inventive prowess of Right Cream's flavor artisans. The combination of Palisade Peach, Ube, and Chantilly Cream was an unexpected symphony of tastes that worked harmoniously together. The velvety texture of the ice cream merged seamlessly with the distinct sweetness of the peaches, creating an explosion of flavors that delighted the palate. The true magic of Right Cream lies in its commitment to crafting flavors that push the boundaries of traditional ice cream offerings. The infusion of Ube, a vibrant purple yam, added a captivating twist to the sundae, while the Chantilly Cream introduced a dreamy, creamy element that balanced out the fruity notes. It's evident that the team behind Right Cream takes great care in selecting and combining ingredients, resulting in a culinary masterpiece that's as visually stunning as it is delicious. The customer service at Right Cream is nothing short of exemplary. The staff's genuine enthusiasm and knowledge about the flavors and offerings added to the overall experience. Their willingness to provide samples and guide us through the menu made us feel like we were in the hands of true ice cream aficionados.

Yelp
Just want say one thing first before I talk about the great taste of the ice cream. It's the nervy and hospitality of the owner or whoever was at the front. He was amazing and made us feel welcomed and just overall made our experience great. Now the ice cream, enough flavors to satisfy anyone. I got the waffle cone with pistachio and cheesecake and I do not regret one bit. Absolutely amazing and I tell people to stop there from now on when they live or visit in Denver
google avatar

Savanna D.

Yelp
This place is incredible! The flavors are a delightful mix of fun and classic as scoops but the pints are truly wonderful. I recommend grabbing one full of delightful chonks! Amongst all the fun and delicious flavors, the Oreo toffee and almost too salty caramel stand out as rich and scrumptious additions to any flavor you're considering! I'd install a tap for the caramel at my home if it was possible! Can't wait to return soon!
google avatar

Alisa J.

Yelp
Love this place so much! Wish there was somewhere you could sit inside but the ice cream is so worth it. They also have such incredible and unique flavors. We got the golden milk, hojicha, Ube, and lychee mango sorbet. Loved all the favors. They were all so flavorful and weren't too sweet. The people were incredibly kind and the store was clean. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Well I went back, of course. And I specifically planned my birthday party to be at Denver Beer Company so I could have ice cream and A SMASHBURGER with my beer. FYI - DBC does not want you to bring outside food in to their spot (didn't realize that they actually served food at this DBC) so keep that in mind. But all that aside. Holy freaking moly. That smashburger was DEVINE. I just want to eat that every day. An ice cream joint that serves smashburgers? I'M IN. I think they do them on Saturdays only. Either way, get yourself one, you will not be disappointed. Naturally, after I finished my burger I went back for the ice cream and got a scoop of the peanut butter chocolate flavor. It truly hits the spot. My ice cream lover soul was pleased. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Honestly, not a fan. The ice cream is somewhat flavorless in my opinion. I bought a pint of strawberry and it just didn't taste much like strawberry. It was expensive and I didn't even eat it. They also have some strange flavors.....one had corn in it! Like whaaaattt?! I got spoiled by living near leopolds ice cream in Savannah Georgia (legit best ice cream EVER!) I order it and have it delivered to Denver. So, right cream is a cute place-nice that it's near Denver beer company for all the kids who come with their parents. But, I would not personally go back.
google avatar

Nakita C.

Yelp
OMG the fruity pebbles was the best and I wasn't the only one that thought that! This literal hole in the way is definitely worth the trip. I tasted the Thai tea (not too sweet), pumpkin(fresh and smooth), vanilla (some good a** vanilla!), mango (fresh), and of course the best for last fruity pebbles! The customer service was everything you can ask for, they were very patient with our big group of 8, lol. They had recommendations and let me sample the freshly made caramel, just pure and a good experience. As I mentioned it's a literal hole in the wall in an alley way. Located in what I learned today is the Milk district, the surrounding area, shops, murals, and restaurants make it that much better.
google avatar

Jacob B.

Yelp
Probably the best ice cream I've had in Denver! Very reasonably priced with unique flavors and toppings. The scoopers were very friendly and allowed us to try multiple flavors, all of which were amazing.
google avatar

Anne D.

Yelp
Rich, delicious, unusual flavors and toppings (sure, some typical options were available). Loved the Crunchberry (as in Capt Crunchberry) and mango.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Hands down, best ice cream in denver. Right cream has funky flavors all the time, along with the classics. The toppings are incredible too The staff Always super friendly and they have consistently amazing ice cream!
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Found this by accident on door dash and was amazed by the flavors. Tried the Ube By Baby and it was so good. I normally wouldn't think Oreos and Ube and toffee caramel go together but it works so well. I'm salivating thinking of it. I want to try more flavors in person. It's not overpoweringly sweet and the ube acts as a great vehicle for the toppings.
google avatar

Stacey L.

Yelp
Finally made it out here on a Saturday to try their coveted smash burger! While it was an enjoyable burger at a fair price of $12, I think the patties are a bit too thin for my liking, even compared to other smash burgers I've had. Had the option of adding potato wedges, which were tasty as well. For dessert, we had a scoop of the ube ice cream, which is probably the best ube item I've had in the Denver area thus far. We also took home a pint of their ice cream which I forget the name of but it had cornflakes + raspberry swirl. I enjoyed the texture but thought the ice cream overall was way too sweet. Their flavors are always rotating so I look forward to other ones they have in the future, hoping I just picked a pint that wasn't quite for me.
google avatar

Mandy M.

Yelp
Omg. This ice cream is the best ice cream we've ever had. Started off pre ordered pints for pick up then they moved into a spot not far from us at all absolutely amazing. Original combination. Delicious flavors. And the right amount of cream. Grab a pint or two and you'll see!!!
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
This is not just your normal ice cream shop. The flavors are deep and complex and you get two toppings for every order. If you're looking for some more subtle flavored ice cream, this place may not be it for you. I don't usually like that salty ,sweet ice cream combo. However, this place does it SO incredibly well, my husband and I were addicted to it for the past couple of months. Their salted caramel drizzle is to die for and we pretty much add it to most of our orders. We've had their matcha, ube, pandan and a few other flavors. They're all strong and creamy and we love it. It's street parking, but we've never had any issues finding a spot. They also have a few tables out front for you to sit at. This has quickly become one of our favorite ice cream shops.

Teani H.

Yelp
Omg the peach sundae was soooo delicious! The staff were great and the flavors were unique and yummy! Highly recommend! This is my new go to ice cream place :)
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
At the beginning of the week they release flavors for the week to pre order pints for pick up. I ordered their version of cookies and cream. It is cookies and cream ice cream with crunchy Oreo toffee and caramel swirls. I was greeted by a friendly staff and grabbed my order quickly. They have a variety of flavors at the shop for scoops and sundaes. The ice cream has great flavor and super creamy. Definitely recommend pre ordering a pint to indulge at home!

Becca W.

Yelp
The absolute best ice cream in Denver! It's a small shop right next to Denver Beer Company. Been staying in town for the summer and have been back here at least once a week. Gotta try the Palisade Peach sundae where they add fresh peaches and whipped cream to your choice of ice cream flavor. Right Cream has the most unique flavors in Denver - some of my favs are choco banana bread, yellow cake, carrot cake PB honey, sweet cream nilla wafer. Every ice cream includes free toppings. Everyone who works here is incredibly nice. Truly a must try!!!

Drew L.

Yelp
Right Cream is a great Ice Cream Shop. All the flavors are very unique and it seems like they put a lot of thought into them; and they rotate them very often so there is always something new to try. But, the reason I'm writing this review is because of the Smash Burgers(only on Saturdays at the moment). They're absolutely delicious. You have to get their somewhat early to make sure they don't sell out, and at least when I went I had to wait about 20 minutes to get my burger, but it was worth it, and luckily with Denver Beer Co. sharing common outdoor space it was an easy wait, and the small patio out front is nice too. If you're on a quest to find the best burger in the city, I think Right Cream has a contender. They're also still experimenting with new menu additions so there is good reason to follow them and see what new creations they come up with.

Yelp
Cute spot with decent ice cream. And I think it's cool that they give up to two free toppings per scoop. Now on to the reason for the poor rating, the dude servicing us was really freaking rude in the middle of our experience. I came in with two other people. We asked if we can sample and the worker said yes. I asked for one. My boyfriend asked for one. Our friend asked for two. I later asked for one more sample and he begrudgingly said "that's a lot of samples guys..." while seeming stress and annoyed. He then proceeds to grab my sample and talk shit to his coworker about how: 1. "we're asking for a lot of samples". 2. "there's a line behind us". there was already a line when we entered and we didn't take as long as customers ahead of us. 3. "they should sample it to 2" and other things that we couldn't hear Unless he meant 2 per group, we technically got at most 2 per person. If he had lied and said "oh there's actually a limit and I forgot to tell you guys", that would be 100% fine. But his attitude and non-discrete shit talking just made all of us very upset.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an ice cream foodie's nirvana. Love checking out ice cream. Anywhere. This place takes it one step further. They have delightful flavor combinations that change consistently. Best to let them pick one for you -- which is what I did. It had banana and vanilla and some other bakery product (that they make there) and some crunchy things. It's all flavors and textures. So much fun. Just go.
google avatar

Alana L.

Yelp
Right Cream is incredible ice cream. Really interesting flavors, delicious chunks, and some of the best whipped cream topping for sundaes. All in all it's artisanal ice cream in the best way - lots of creativity for the walk up treats and pint flavors. BUT this isn't a typical scoop shop and if you don't 'get' Instagram you'll probably need a friend to help you figure it out. There are 2 ways to acquire Right Cream.... To order pints, you pre-order through the website. There's a drop on Monday at 10am and then a re-stock later in the evening. Once it's sold out, that's it for the week. The weekly menu is posted on Insta the night before ordering opens up. Pre-orders can be picked up on the weekend. Right Cream is also open for walkups during limited hours on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon (although this is mostly consistent, weather and other factors mean that it changes a bit) so it's best to check Instagram stories for updates before going. The walk up menu has a few scoop flavors to choose from and other treats - if you're lucky it will be a weekend when there's a collab with a local business. Sometimes you can buy a mystery pint too. The only thing Right Cream doesn't have fully on lock is the 'operations' side of things. The line can get pretty long and move very slowly.
google avatar

Lianna B.

Yelp
Most creative ice cream flavors and their toppings are to die for. No other ice cream place like them in Denver. Can't wait for their permanent location to open with more hours
google avatar

Andrea V.

Yelp
Amazing services and great ice cream. Unrelated - The character limit on here is really not my vibe.

Megan G.

Yelp
Big fan! Love the unique flavors, the quaint shop, and friendly workers! I got something along the lines of cinnamon cheese it, sounds strange but delicious!!!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Ummmmm... this place is the BOMB. Order-ahead pints, unique flavors, walk-up fancy ice cream sundaes. I wonder what they'll think of next!

Andy M.

Yelp
Sampled 2 flavors and I can hear the guy at the window complain to his coworker that I sampled too many flavors??? Rude and dismissive afterwards to me afterwards.

J K.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream I've had in Denver! I got the pumpkin brownie flavor, which was perfectly spiced and had huge chunks of rich brownie. The ice cream is so creamy and tastes very fresh. I got the small size and received two very generous scoops. You also get two free toppings, making it a great deal for the price! I also sampled the peanut butter miso flavor, which was interesting but delicious. They didn't have any vegan flavors during this visit, but they seem to change their flavors frequently, so maybe they usually have some. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Best ice cream I've ever had in my entire 27.5 years of living. This place is worth every calorie and penny. Their flavors are extremely unique and if I didn't have self control I'd order from them every single week!

Erin S.

Yelp
My fiancé introduced me to this gem the moment I moved the Denver and I can't say I've had better ice cream from anywhere else. Their flavors are uniquely crafted and feature signature flavors I've grown up with but taste 5000x better. 20/10 would recommend.

Claire H.

Yelp
Love this place!! Right Cream is our favorite ice cream place in Denver- fun staff, great walkable neighborhood location and bomb ice cream. What more could you want?!? Definitely grab a premade pint for the next day- you won't be mad you did.
google avatar

Adrian S.

Yelp
Best ice cream & yes, I'm an ice cream snob !!! Period, point blank. As long as I live in Denver, I'm coming here & getting 2-3 pints a week. It's literally that good. They're currently located at, 1825 Blake St #100 Denver, Colorado. Def give them a try and support local small businesses.
google avatar

Brenda F.

Yelp
This is absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had! Don't sleep on this - it's soo good!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This shop is the best! Great ice cream, even better service. Great for pints or scoops on the go!

Francesca C.

Yelp
I actually hate this place cause it's so good. I think I go through every single emotion when eating their ice cream. From tears of happiness to tears of sadness cause the flavors change every week and I am very obsessive with things I like. Their ice cream is the equivalent of going through your 'addicted to bread and butter' phase. Just to add fuel to the fire, the employees are amazing. How are you gonna serve me ice cream with a smile? I will cry. Anyways, see you tomorrow right cream

Luke Z.

Yelp
They've officially ruined all other ice cream for me. These dudes are mad scientist with the cream - get in on it. Looking forward to when they get their permanent location.

Chris G.

Yelp
How in the world do you "run out of scoops" as an ice cream shop??!! Guy at the window was dismissive and rude instead of being helpful when asked simple questions. One and two

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST ice cream you will ever have! Right Cream changes their flavors every week and is always so creative with their flavors! 10/10 recommend

Julia J.

Yelp
It is AMAZING, BEST EVERbest in the area!! Texture is incredible the favors are unmatched! Would come back to Denver just for "Right Cream", a MUST in Denver!

Colleen F.

Yelp
I had a lovely experience at Right Cream last night! The two guys working the window were super nice and patient while I asked a ton of questions! I tried the Honey flavor and it was insanely creamy and delicious. Make sure to check out this spot next time you're on Larimer!
