Rincon Argentino - Carniceria Latina

Love Rincon to get my family's fix of freshly made Empanadas and Sandwiches De Miga, which are Sandwiches made with thinly sliced bread. They have different sandwiches pre-made, and my family's favorite is the ham and cheese. Since I'm gluten free, I unfortunately can't enjoy their sandwiches off the shelf, so I have the butcher slice up some of the same provolone and ham they use to make the sandwiches there, and then I make my own sandwiches with Carbonate GF white bread from it. It's a great workaround, very similar in taste and texture and is so delicious! They have a variety of Empanadas to choose from including beef, chicken, spinach, ham and cheese, and corn. Their store has a large variety of dry products from Argentina, Argentinian wines, as well as a small selection of baked goods. Pro tip- Be sure to toast the sandwiches just before enjoying for the full effect. 😋

Hands down best place to get sandwiches de miga fresh, selection pretty good. It’s a long drive for me to go there but I make a very big order when I do go there and I feel happy with my purchases so far.

Chicken empanada was very doughy, not much filling. Was just ok, there are better options out there. Soda and cookies were lovely, a nice change of pace and delicious. Steak sandwich was a good portion size and very filling. Would eat this again but would ask for more chimichurri (I asked when ordering but they didn’t put it on). There is a lot of mayo and the meat is greasy. But delicious and very filling. Street parking, sandwich takes about 15 mins to prepare.

Shopping here for 3 decades always amazes me how friendly the stuff is. Fresh and quality meat. Great Argentinian products.

The best Argentinean store in Glendale and L.A. Great selection of wines, Alfajores, cakes (arrollado y torta de ricota), Vainillas, sandwiches de miga, etc. The meat for Asados is amazing as well. Must visit!

A small store but with good selections from Argentina, Peru, and other Latin American countries. Additionally, they serve delicious and freshly made empanadas.

WOW is everything incredible!! This is such an easy place to miss but it truly is a hidden gem. Empanadas are baked to perfection and the facturas are fresh. I wish they sold migas individually (they only offer one dozen). We got some meat and chorizos for an asado, so will report back on quality of meat.

This is one of a few Argentine places that can justify the kind of mileage I have to put in to get my fix. It's not just a butcher shop, it's a mini Argentinian embassy for my taste buds. Walk in for a quick fix and walk out with enough freshly made empanadas and high quality meat to feed a small village. The selection is fantast and the staff is very friendly. ​The real danger of this small little shop, is the dry goods section. I can't just "shop" there. I have to gaze at their wall of snacks like a culinary historian. Seeing all those Argentine brands and dry goods triggers a massive wave of nostalgia for all the goodies my family would bring back in overstuffed suitcases every time they visited Argentina. I inevitably find myself surrendering to some alfajores. ​The main reason I drove here was for the sandwiches de miga. The ham and cheese is our household "fix," and I'm pretty sure my family would trade me for a fresh stack of them if given the opportunity. I always make sure to grab a few empanadas to go too. I left happy, fully stocked, and already planning the next haul.

i randomly came across an IG reel of this girl who was looking for these tea sandwiches she once had on a date and the sandwiches looks sooooo good! i was excited to see that the tagged shop was near my house so i sent my husband to get some and they did not disappoint! we got the: miga mixto sandwiches beef milanesas sandwich beef empanadas chicken empanadas ham and cheese empanadas spinach empanadas yall, EVERYTHING WAS BUSSIN! that's that the kids say haha their bread is crispy and soft, has a nice chew. all the empanadas were filled generously with quality ingredients. we loved ALL. OF. IT. highly recommend. my husband said the ladies were nice and helpful. the shop was clean and had deli, bakery and grocery offerings. the storefront is unassuming but the inside is MAGICAL!

I tried a beef empanada and a ham and cheese tea sandwich. Both amazing. I'm sad that Rincon Argentino isn't closer to my house.

Best damn Chicken Empanada this side of the Arroyo... Argentinean Pizza is authentic! Morrones (Red Bell Pepper) con Queso - Green Olives on the side... Grab some wine and Quilmes Beer... some Taragui Mate - that's Messi's brand..for Superpower precision and laser focus... that Mateine don't play SON! Grab some sandwiches de Miga Mixtas DONT be a simp! And yes.. w Green Olives... Grab an Inca Cola... cause it's a Latin Market too w a meat butcher cutting up short style ribs; chorizos; morcillas; milanesas... Grab some alfajores; they got all kinds; I recommend all of them... Some San Ignacio Dulce de Leche for your toast and morning crackers... or just grab a spoon and scoop straight out the jar... in one sitting... I love coming here when I'm craving South American flavors. The last time I went I wanted to try the sandwiches de migas. I've had these only in South America and I don't know why I waited this long to buy some but I finally did and it was so addicting it made me go down a migas rabbit hole. I love that I can have new experiences every time I come here and it forces me to practice my Spanish as well.

omg they have such amazing sandwiches! Ordered the ham and cheese cold sandwich and the Milanese, and the Milanese sandwich was the favorite one hands down bc of the warm thin fried cutlet and sauce just had amazing balance with the tomatoes lettuce and onions paired w the crispy warm and yet soft bread was wowza too 10/10 would eat again!! Loved it so much did not have the chance to take any photos of either sandwiches lol

Rincon Market is a great, family owned and authentic Argentinean market. You can buy fresh meats but also some great cooked foods. Personally, I love to purchase empanadas here since they are made fresh and offer different options between beef, chicken, spinach and cheese and ham and cheese. They do offer some sandwiches such as steak and Milanese sandwiches but I have not tried them yet.

We get all of our Argentinian meat cuts here and always so good. Bife de chorizo and entrana are our favorites. They also have pretty good migas, sometimes you have to order in advance because they'll sell out during holidays or during Argentinian game days. You can also get Havana alfajores here. Service is always great as well, very attentive and very friendly people!

My friend had a birthday party at her daughter's house from Rincon Argentino, and it was 2 kinds of sandwiches con miga: 1 with red bell peppers, and the other kind was ham and cheese. They were truly delicious, fresh, and light! They were thinly sliced also. They also had some baked ground beef empanadas: again tasteful and tasty I have to go and eat in that place one day to try their other dishes

Great little store! I found many Brazilian products as well as Brazilian sausage, linguiça brasileira, guaraná, queijo catupiry. Great finds here in Glendale. Definitely recommend!

Best Argentinean empanadas in SoCal, Hands Down. I've been coming here for over 15 years. The empanadas can't be beat. My personal favorites are the cheese, Choclo (corn) and the ham and cheese. Freshly baked daily, you just can't stop at one...get the dozen. Additionally they have delicious pastries and a variety of fresh meat cuts for your grilling pleasures.

The service is so welcoming and they have the freshest foods from meats to snacks! And the empanadas are the best I've had aside from the ones my grandma makes lol sorrry! But still very yummy and since we can't go to Argentina often, this place makes me feel very close to.

I have been coming here at least 25 years. First introduced by my Argentine friend and I was instantly addicted to their miga sandwiches. I introduced them to my coworkers since our office is super close to Rincon and now it's everyone's favorite. We love the steak sandwiches-and miga sandwiches. Empanadas are pretty good too and you can't beat their price!

Customer service is really good Quality of products good as well I recommend it. My only complaint is the schedule. They close early

I stoped by this place running errands in Glendale. It's a small place with big flavors! I tried the ham and cheese empanadas (j) and the spinach empanadas (e). Both were delicious and a reasonable price. My daughter tried the chicken empanadas (p) and she was a little thrown off by the raisins. Each kind has a little stamp in the dough and I put the letters above in parentheses. The show stopper for me was the sandwich mixto con acetunas. They are crustless sandwiches that come in a package. The hearts of palm and olives were delicious. There was also Turkey and ham and cheese. So soft, fresh and yummy. I also got a pack of alphahores but I brought them as a host gift to a party and didn't get to try them. They looked great! I will be back to try more items!

My gf hyped up this place as making amazing Argentenian empanadas. It was not. It was a huge disappointment. Will never return to this place. Found out the last time she there was over 20 years ago. She as well did not like the food and threw it into the trash. She said this place has changed.

It's easy to miss Rincon Argentino. I've driven by this place a million times through the years. Unless you live in the neighborhood or unless you're Argentinian, you're probably not aware of this neighborhood gem. The empanadas here are $2 each! I got sticker shocked walking by Nonna's at Americana and Farmer's Market that goes for more than double. This is a market but has a deli that sells sandwiches and items from the motherland. They sell chimichurri in jars for $6.00 which is must with the empanadas. Steak sandwich here is just okay. The steak a bit too dry and bland for me though the chimichurri, mayo, lettuce and tomato added a little flavor. You can't leave this place without some pastries and cookies. Alfajores are a must. Shortbread with sandwiched with dulce de leche and coated with coconut gratings are bliss. The cancioncitos is a puff pastry with dulce de leche topped with powdered sugar. You'll definitely need a cup of coffee with these deserts. It's worth dropping by if you're in this part of town.

Missing Argentinean or Paraguayan food? This is the place that will bring you back to your "nostalgia" food cravings. Good service, good food and supplies for your cooking. If you don't want to fry milanesa ask then they will fry them for you!

I had the steak sandwich, delicious. I ordered by phone and my sandwich was ready upon arrival. Sandwich was much bigger than expected. I had half and save the other half for hubby.

I always have the love for empanadas, always trying to find new empanadas to try. I found Rincon Argentino last year, and their empanadas are excellent. They are very tasty and flavorful, most of all, it is very reasonably priced. Their empanadas have small letters to indicate which type it is. It is one of my favorite places to go for a quick bite.

Discovered this little neighborhood gem and it's now our go-to spot when in Glendale. Delicious empanadas and sandwiches! Variety of Argentinian merch too in the shop. They speak Spanish mostly so A+ for you if you can too! The staff is very nice. I love this place.

The empanadas are some of the best I've ever had! I love the chicken, beef, and ham & cheese empanadas and their pre-made ham and cheese sandwiches are delicious as well. And don't forget dessert with the alfajores! The ladies there are also so nice. Will definitely be back and recommend them to others!

Empanadas are delightful. And their sweet bread sticks are sooo good. Ordered a dozen each, and they were gone in seconds and a party favorite. Jimon & Cheese & Corn are my favorites!

Rincon Argentino Rincon Argentino is a little nondescript market on a busy street that is easily missed, but try and check it out the next time you're in Glendale. The little market has barely two tiny aisles packed with treats and snacks from Argentina and South America. Make a beeline for the counter and order a steak sandwich or grab some empanadas and pastries. Food: There are a wealth of empanada options, so you can come back often: - Carne/Beef - Humita/Corn - Pollo/Chicken - Queso/Cheese - Espinaca/Spinach - Jamon y Queso/Ham and Cheese This time I picked up a box of beef and ham & cheese empanadas. The beef empanadas have juicy ground beef with spices, chopped up hard boiled eggs, onions, and olives. Sweet, salty, and tart flavors mix together inside the dough pocket. The ham and cheese empanadas contain ham, mozzarella, onion, eggs, and spices. The crust is nicely baked, but they definitely would be better if they were deep fried like they are in Buenos Aires. Also, remember to buy chimchurri sauce because it's not included. The alfajores are soft and crumbly, filled with golden dulce de leche (caramel). Parking: There is lots of easy street parking on the northwest corner of Colorado and Verdugo.

Goooooood empanadas...flavor is good and the price is reasonable compared to other places that's the same size and double but only thing thats can be better is Sundays to be open longer since I get home when they close weekdays. I'm a creature of habit and always get the sandwiches (with the ham and tomato egg salad) and some empanadas (ham, spinach, corn cheese, and beef). Picked up some Brazilian sausage linguica, which was a hit at the BBQ.

The place represents a minimarket but at the same time sells astounding sandwiches and other "restaurant" items. The steak sandwich is wonderful, a combination of fresh crispy bread and on point super-juicy steak ... In addition, the empanadas are delicious and come in a variety of flavors. I preferred the spinach empanadas. For desserts, the bread pudding was A-rated, the Alfajores - for my taste - to dry and crumbly.

Chico pero que rico! Small but delicious is what this place is all about! Came for the beef empanadas but left with much more. A Choripan (Argentinian chorizo sandwich) and a few other goodies including their delicious homemade chimichuri sauce. It's a small Argentinian meat market and the cut to order beef and breaded milanesa steaks looked great and will definitely be back for those. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Street parking can be difficult but if patient you can find a spot nearby. Ok back to the empanadas and choripan. DELICIOUS!! Definitely the empanadas we were used to at a price that is perfect. The choripan is made to order and takes 20 minutes but well worth the wait. This is now our empanada spot!

Seriously my all time favorite spot for empanadas in LA. This establishment has stayed consistent throughout the many years and still affordable despite inflation prices everywhere else. Spinach & cheese as well as beef flavors are phenomenal. Perfect addition to a picnic lunch or even casual dinner party. Truly will leave your guest impressed.

I finally tried the pizza!!!! Jamón y queso con cebolla. Absolutely delicious and totally worth it. I'll be back for more soon

Being from east coast I miss being able to get some good empanadas as a quick tasty snack. I was looking around for a good affordable options. Empanada prices in California seem unreasonably expensive but this place is truly a gem. Authentic Argentinian empanadas with good variety of flavors for $2.50 each and lady at the counter was sweet and friendly. I come to Glendale regularly for my nail appointments so this will be my to go spot for now on. Spinach was my personal favorite but all very good.

I love this spot. The sandwiches, empanadas,Sweet baked goods, pasta are legit. It's a small place with a variety of Argentinian products including wines. I believe it's family owned, which makes the service that much more precious if you have a party and you need to order catering, I would definitely recommend it

Best little Argentine Mercado west of the 2 fwy! Small but has all the good from a great authentic argentine butcher counter to freshly made empanadas and pastries. Plus all of your argentine grocery needs (Dulce de leche, cookies, matte, wines, etc. Bife de chorizo, limo, Parilla, Ojo e Bife! Name your cut all the best argentine beef cuts here! Very friendly staff. Some parking in the rear and street parking. The empanadas are baked and they are the best!
