The 20 Best Pizza Restaurants In LA

"This small Argentinian market in Glendale really has it all—wine, pastries, empanadas, and a butcher—but while doing some light grocery shopping, make sure you prioritize the fugazzeta. It’s an Argentine stuffed-crust pizza with generous amounts of ham, cheese, and cooked onions spread on top, plus more ham and molten cheese tucked inside. They offer a cook-at-home version, but if you want it piping hot for takeout, call ahead—it takes about a half-hour in the oven to cook." - brant cox, nikko duren, sylvio martins

The 18 Best Restaurants In Glendale - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Rincon Argentino is one of those markets where you go in looking for one thing, and end up with enough snacks to last you an entire hibernation season. This small Argentinian shop really has it all: a stacked wine selection, a great butcher, and pastries like dulce de leche-filled alfajores. That said, we never leave without a bag of their golden-crusted empanadas and a fugazetta, which is Argentina’s answer to stuffed-crust pizza. Besides the generous amounts of ham, cheese, and caramelized onions on top, the dough is filled with more ham and cheese, as it should be. They offer a cook-at-home version, but if you want it piping hot, know that it takes about a half-hour to bake—so call ahead. " - Brant Cox

The Best Argentinian Restaurants In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Rincon Argentino is a mini-mart in Glendale with so much wine that the crates stack around the butcher counter. And besides having enough malbec and beef to feed a family of hibernating bears in the winter, Rincon Argentino makes fluffy, egg-washed empanadas full of ground chicken, olives, and a stew with onions and raisins that add a smooch of sweetness. There's a fugazzeta that's pleasantly aggressive with the onions. Each one has a blanket of cooked onion canvassing sliced ham and melted cheese that dangles over the thin crust. " - Sylvio Martins

Rincon Argentino Review - Glendale - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Paying a visit to Rincon Argentino can be one of those exhausting experiences where you go in looking for one thing and instead walk out with enough snacks to last you an entire hibernation period. But this small shop in Glendale really has it all, from a stacked wine selection to a great butcher shop, and even pastries like dulce de leche-filled alfajores. Their empanadas are also a must, with their sweet and savory chicken empanada deserving a gold star. These shiny, egg-washed hand pies balance out the savory meat, olives, and hard-boiled egg with the sweetness of raisins and caramelized onions, and they're nothing short of sublime. Make sure to also try the shop’s fugazzeta, which is Argentina’s answer to stuffed-crust pizza. Besides the generous amounts of ham, cheese, and cooked onions on top, the dough is filled with more ham and cheese, just as it should be. photo credit: Jessie Clapp photo credit: Jessie Clapp photo credit: Jessie Clapp photo credit: Jessie Clapp photo credit: Jessie Clapp" - Sylvio Martins

12 Delicious Spots for Golden Brown Empanadas of All Flavors in Los Angeles

"Rincon Argentino is a one-stop shop for all wine, meat, and alfajores needs. The marketplaces’ empanadas come beautifully egg-washed and baked but remain soft enough to effortlessly pull apart. Their chicken empanadas are a sweet and savory combo of onions, olives, hard boiled eggs, and raisins, each bringing their unique flavor and texture to the filling." - Sylvio Martins

Google
Love Rincon to get my family's fix of freshly made Empanadas and Sandwiches De Miga, which are Sandwiches made with thinly sliced bread. They have different sandwiches pre-made, and my family's favorite is the ham and cheese. Since I'm gluten free, I unfortunately can't enjoy their sandwiches off the shelf, so I have the butcher slice up some of the same provolone and ham they use to make the sandwiches there, and then I make my own sandwiches with Carbonate GF white bread from it. It's a great workaround, very similar in taste and texture and is so delicious! They have a variety of Empanadas to choose from including beef, chicken, spinach, ham and cheese, and corn. Their store has a large variety of dry products from Argentina, Argentinian wines, as well as a small selection of baked goods. Pro tip- Be sure to toast the sandwiches just before enjoying for the full effect. 😋

Google
Chicken empanada was very doughy, not much filling. Was just ok, there are better options out there. Soda and cookies were lovely, a nice change of pace and delicious. Steak sandwich was a good portion size and very filling. Would eat this again but would ask for more chimichurri (I asked when ordering but they didn’t put it on). There is a lot of mayo and the meat is greasy. But delicious and very filling. Street parking, sandwich takes about 15 mins to prepare.

Google
Just really good food and super nice and friendly service. I had the steak sandwich and a spinach empanada and both tasted really good and fresh. They pulled out a fresh loaf of bread to use for the sandwich too.

Google
The best Argentinean store in Glendale and L.A. Great selection of wines, Alfajores, cakes (arrollado y torta de ricota), Vainillas, sandwiches de miga, etc. The meat for Asados is amazing as well. Must visit!

Google
A small store but with good selections from Argentina, Peru, and other Latin American countries. Additionally, they serve delicious and freshly made empanadas.

Yelp
My friend had a birthday party at her daughter's house from Rincon Argentino, and it was 2 kinds of sandwiches con miga: 1 with red bell peppers, and the other kind was ham and cheese. They were truly delicious, fresh, and light! They were thinly sliced also. They also had some baked ground beef empanadas: again tasteful and tasty I have to go and eat in that place one day to try their other dishes

Yelp
I have been coming here at least 25 years. First introduced by my Argentine friend and I was instantly addicted to their miga sandwiches. I introduced them to my coworkers since our office is super close to Rincon and now it's everyone's favorite. We love the steak sandwiches-and miga sandwiches. Empanadas are pretty good too and you can't beat their price!

Yelp
My gf hyped up this place as making amazing Argentenian empanadas. It was not. It was a huge disappointment. Will never return to this place. Found out the last time she there was over 20 years ago. She as well did not like the food and threw it into the trash. She said this place has changed.
google avatar

Javier F.

Yelp
Great service, knowledgeable staff. And the quality of the meat is important and you can tell they understand meat quality

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
The empanadas are some of the best I've ever had! I love the chicken, beef, and ham & cheese empanadas and their pre-made ham and cheese sandwiches are delicious as well. And don't forget dessert with the alfajores! The ladies there are also so nice. Will definitely be back and recommend them to others!

Yelp
Missing Argentinean or Paraguayan food? This is the place that will bring you back to your "nostalgia" food cravings. Good service, good food and supplies for your cooking. If you don't want to fry milanesa ask then they will fry them for you!
google avatar

Yelp
Great store, amazing food, great selection, friendly people, reasonable prices. Their sandwiches and empanadas are literally addicting. I want to say it's a hidden gem, but they no shortage of customers. I only wish they delivered on DoorDash or Uber Eats, so I could order from there more!
google avatar

Yelp
Super delicious steak sandwiches and empanadas. They also have different Argentine products like Yurba Mate
google avatar

Yelp
Best Argentinean empanadas in SoCal, Hands Down. I've been coming here for over 15 years. The empanadas can't be beat. My personal favorites are the cheese, Choclo (corn) and the ham and cheese. Freshly baked daily, you just can't stop at one...get the dozen. Additionally they have delicious pastries and a variety of fresh meat cuts for your grilling pleasures.
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
I had the steak sandwich, delicious. I ordered by phone and my sandwich was ready upon arrival. Sandwich was much bigger than expected. I had half and save the other half for hubby.

Yelp
I stoped by this place running errands in Glendale. It's a small place with big flavors! I tried the ham and cheese empanadas (j) and the spinach empanadas (e). Both were delicious and a reasonable price. My daughter tried the chicken empanadas (p) and she was a little thrown off by the raisins. Each kind has a little stamp in the dough and I put the letters above in parentheses. The show stopper for me was the sandwich mixto con acetunas. They are crustless sandwiches that come in a package. The hearts of palm and olives were delicious. There was also Turkey and ham and cheese. So soft, fresh and yummy. I also got a pack of alphahores but I brought them as a host gift to a party and didn't get to try them. They looked great! I will be back to try more items!

Yelp
I always have the love for empanadas, always trying to find new empanadas to try. I found Rincon Argentino last year, and their empanadas are excellent. They are very tasty and flavorful, most of all, it is very reasonably priced. Their empanadas have small letters to indicate which type it is. It is one of my favorite places to go for a quick bite.

John M.

Yelp
Amazing find. My goto place for a steak sandwich. Great butcher for argentine meats & so much more!

Yelp
It's easy to miss Rincon Argentino. I've driven by this place a million times through the years. Unless you live in the neighborhood or unless you're Argentinian, you're probably not aware of this neighborhood gem. The empanadas here are $2 each! I got sticker shocked walking by Nonna's at Americana and Farmer's Market that goes for more than double. This is a market but has a deli that sells sandwiches and items from the motherland. They sell chimichurri in jars for $6.00 which is must with the empanadas. Steak sandwich here is just okay. The steak a bit too dry and bland for me though the chimichurri, mayo, lettuce and tomato added a little flavor. You can't leave this place without some pastries and cookies. Alfajores are a must. Shortbread with sandwiched with dulce de leche and coated with coconut gratings are bliss. The cancioncitos is a puff pastry with dulce de leche topped with powdered sugar. You'll definitely need a cup of coffee with these deserts. It's worth dropping by if you're in this part of town.
google avatar

Yelp
Empanadas are delightful. And their sweet bread sticks are sooo good. Ordered a dozen each, and they were gone in seconds and a party favorite. Jimon & Cheese & Corn are my favorites!

Yelp
I owe this review to Rincon Argentino, long ago. Best meat quality. Great wine selection. Delicious empanadas and sweets. The cold sandwiches are a good option for the family and small gatherings. Beers from different countries. Customer services is a A +++. Everyone is helpful. Love them

Yelp
Discovered this little neighborhood gem and it's now our go-to spot when in Glendale. Delicious empanadas and sandwiches! Variety of Argentinian merch too in the shop. They speak Spanish mostly so A+ for you if you can too! The staff is very nice. I love this place.
google avatar

Fernanda M.

Yelp
Love love their sandwiches, Every-time im In the area i love to grab something from this place. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend people to come here

Brian H.

Yelp
Great food generous portions Parking is a little tight but it's worth the walk. Great pastries and wines also and very friendly service. I go there at least twice a month
google avatar

Katherine A.

Yelp
Seriously my all time favorite spot for empanadas in LA. This establishment has stayed consistent throughout the many years and still affordable despite inflation prices everywhere else. Spinach & cheese as well as beef flavors are phenomenal. Perfect addition to a picnic lunch or even casual dinner party. Truly will leave your guest impressed.
google avatar

Harry H.

Yelp
Goooooood empanadas...flavor is good and the price is reasonable compared to other places that's the same size and double but only thing thats can be better is Sundays to be open longer since I get home when they close weekdays. But yes go ahead and try them they are good. Parking isn't the greatest

Yelp
Rincon Argentino Rincon Argentino is a little nondescript market on a busy street that is easily missed, but try and check it out the next time you're in Glendale. The little market has barely two tiny aisles packed with treats and snacks from Argentina and South America. Make a beeline for the counter and order a steak sandwich or grab some empanadas and pastries. Food: There are a wealth of empanada options, so you can come back often: - Carne/Beef - Humita/Corn - Pollo/Chicken - Queso/Cheese - Espinaca/Spinach - Jamon y Queso/Ham and Cheese This time I picked up a box of beef and ham & cheese empanadas. The beef empanadas have juicy ground beef with spices, chopped up hard boiled eggs, onions, and olives. Sweet, salty, and tart flavors mix together inside the dough pocket. The ham and cheese empanadas contain ham, mozzarella, onion, eggs, and spices. The crust is nicely baked, but they definitely would be better if they were deep fried like they are in Buenos Aires. Also, remember to buy chimchurri sauce because it's not included. The alfajores are soft and crumbly, filled with golden dulce de leche (caramel). Parking: There is lots of easy street parking on the northwest corner of Colorado and Verdugo.

Thomas S.

Yelp
very small, but very good little neighborhood store. if you know your Argentinian products, this is a delightful little place. meats are good.......the empanadas are good......and the sandwiches are awesome.

Pat I.

Yelp
Their food and service is always on point. The different types of empanadas are flavorful and never dry. The milanesa sandwich is delicious as well.

Joe R.

Yelp
Great empanadas and beef sandwiches. Nice wine selection especially malbecs. It's like being inside an Argentinian grocery store.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I'm a creature of habit and always get the sandwiches (with the ham and tomato egg salad) and some empanadas (ham, spinach, corn cheese, and beef). Picked up some Brazilian sausage linguica, which was a hit at the BBQ.
google avatar

Andreas K.

Yelp
The place represents a minimarket but at the same time sells astounding sandwiches and other "restaurant" items. The steak sandwich is wonderful, a combination of fresh crispy bread and on point super-juicy steak ... In addition, the empanadas are delicious and come in a variety of flavors. I preferred the spinach empanadas. For desserts, the bread pudding was A-rated, the Alfajores - for my taste - to dry and crumbly.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Being from east coast I miss being able to get some good empanadas as a quick tasty snack. I was looking around for a good affordable options. Empanada prices in California seem unreasonably expensive but this place is truly a gem. Authentic Argentinian empanadas with good variety of flavors for $2.50 each and lady at the counter was sweet and friendly. I come to Glendale regularly for my nail appointments so this will be my to go spot for now on. Spinach was my personal favorite but all very good.
google avatar

Orlando D.

Yelp
Chico pero que rico! Small but delicious is what this place is all about! Came for the beef empanadas but left with much more. A Choripan (Argentinian chorizo sandwich) and a few other goodies including their delicious homemade chimichuri sauce. It's a small Argentinian meat market and the cut to order beef and breaded milanesa steaks looked great and will definitely be back for those. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Street parking can be difficult but if patient you can find a spot nearby. Ok back to the empanadas and choripan. DELICIOUS!! Definitely the empanadas we were used to at a price that is perfect. The choripan is made to order and takes 20 minutes but well worth the wait. This is now our empanada spot!
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Delicious wine, empanadas, and alfajores, plus a good selection of Peruvian chili pastes and sauces.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally tried the pizza!!!! Jamón y queso con cebolla. Absolutely delicious and totally worth it. I'll be back for more soon
google avatar

Marc A.

Yelp
I am so happy that Rincón Argentino is up and open for business. I haven't been here since the late 80's...So today I braved the 5 person wait and ordered a Milanesa sandwich and a steak sandwich...Both come on fresh, soft bread with mayonnaise, tomato, lettuce and chimichurri! They were both still hot and tasty when I got home. I was able to share both of them with the 4 of us in the family! I can't wait to order another couple of sandwiches again! Bathrooms - N/A Cleanliness - 8/10 Service - 9/10 Food - 10/19 Atmosphere - 9/10 Value - 9/10 Will I return? Si

Yelp
I love this spot. The sandwiches, empanadas,Sweet baked goods, pasta are legit. It's a small place with a variety of Argentinian products including wines. I believe it's family owned, which makes the service that much more precious if you have a party and you need to order catering, I would definitely recommend it
google avatar

Cinthya L.

Yelp
They have these delicious ham sandwiches . They're perfect for the kiddos , to take them on a picnic or outing . So simple but so delicious; just ham mayo and thin slice of bread , I believe they make there . They come in container of 12 sandwiches . If ordering in a large amount I'd suggest calling a day before to place an order . They might accommodate same day orders, but not always . Also if you want the ham sandwiches , when ordering , specifically say JUST ham no cheese or you might get a mix of cheese and ham, ‍

Tony A.

Yelp
I ordered couple steak sandwiches for my wife and I to eat at home the smell so good forget it plus 2 sodas men delicious for us anytime we'll come back. Argentinian Pizza
google avatar

Yelp
Best little Argentine Mercado west of the 2 fwy! Small but has all the good from a great authentic argentine butcher counter to freshly made empanadas and pastries. Plus all of your argentine grocery needs (Dulce de leche, cookies, matte, wines, etc. Bife de chorizo, limo, Parilla, Ojo e Bife! Name your cut all the best argentine beef cuts here! Very friendly staff. Some parking in the rear and street parking. The empanadas are baked and they are the best!
google avatar

Christy L.

Yelp
This is a small market that's easy to miss unless you were purposely coming here and knew that this place exists! It's a tiny market that's filled with fresh deli and meats along with staple Argentinean groceries. They even offer freshly baked empanadas but go early because once they run out you'll have to come back another time. The empanadas are amazing and it's what I alway pick up along with pichana and salt. Support small business and buy from shops that are individually owned like this one!

Yelp
Sweet ladies, great service, great food!! Big fan of mate and had tons of good options.

Yelp
Hole in the wall store; great sandwiches. i ordered the chicken sandwich came out to around $9 and some change. inside is very small, staff is very friendly, and my order came out pretty fast, its made to order. i was trying to order the pizza but it was sold out. parking is a bit though. plan ahead.

Roxana H.

Yelp
Their food is so delicious and price are very reasonable. My favorite has to be the steak sandwich and chicken empanadas. Always fresh ingredients and don't get me started on their mouth watering pastries! Customer service is superb which nowadays it's hard to find in the food industry. Give this small business a chance10/10!!

Yelp
Drove 407 miles and the store was closed and they opened and helped me out! Great service and great guys!!!!

Yelp
BEST empanadas. I love all of them. I will be back to try the pizza and sandwiches. Very nice people and excellent service. I also purchase the chimichurri that comes in a jar ( you can find on the shelf) very good.

Yelp
After trying Rincon Argentino, I crave these empanadas on a regular basis and have my fix at least once a week. I try empanadas at other places and restaurants but nothing compares to these, the spinach is a must try!

Yelp
Best Argentinian empanadas ever . They even have small ones for cocktails time. Definitely ordering here for finger food

Arais M.

Yelp
Incredible food and service. The filet mignon and the chimichurri OMG. The waiters are so knowledgeable and full of humor. The best food is off the strip
