🇭🇳 HONDURAS Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: From the outside as the name suggests, this does indeed look like a little Honduran nook, the corner of a block awash in the blue of the flag and painted with guaras rojas, the colorful national bird of the country. Inside that corner door, the inside has a lot more blue, a lot more scarlet macaws, and seven booths and a few tables ready to take customers.

The food was so delicious! Went at 9pm and was greeted right away. The waiter was super friendly. The place was clean. I had the tostadas and it was so yummy. The food and drinks arrived super fast. I can’t wait to go back and try something else.

Amazing experience and the nicest family! We had pupusas, tacos Hondureños, baleadas, and catrachas. Everything was wonderful!! We already want to go back. Highly recommend!!

Google
I feel like giving this place anything less than 5 stars is wrong. The food was amazing, the habanero sauce was so good, I wanted a bottle to take home, and the owner is such a sweet woman and takes her time to greet and meet her customers. She does care about her business to the point she will greet you like family and ask for honest opinions about her food. Definitely will be coming back the next chance I get.

Google
Just discovered this place this morning. I'm a proud Mexican, ergo I Love Mexican food but Honduran cuisine has a dish called a BALEADA. It is a hand made thick flour tortilla filled with, usually, beans, cream, avicado, and egg. Repeat after me; Mmmmm. I ordered eggs with pork (breakfast) and the eggs were PERFECT. The chicharon was crispy were it needed to be and soft and succulent. Delicious! The only bad point was that it took a bit to get our food. However, that tells me everything was cooked when I ordered it. The place has an "A" and the restroom was meticulous, which is my deal breaker. It should always be your main ctiteria for where you DO or DON'T eat! It's a reflection of their kitchen. If the restroom; a place you have access to is filthy, imagine the kitchen which you CAN'T SEE. This place is a cute little spot to go eat your BALEADA oh they also have pupusas. Didn't order so not going to vouch for them but i saw them being served. My dish was spot on! The spots on my eggs are hot sauce I wanted to eat it and then thought of the picture i needed to flash. Did i mention the tortillas are all hand made corn too.

Yelp
Food was great, not until you have to wait for an hour and a half for a family of 6. (I could probably cook faster LOL) Service was amazing though, they are short staffed and only have one waiter for like 7 tables. The waiter was nice and this place does people in it. The way to get sat down is pretty odd so brace yourself. The burritos are mainly carbs and rarely protein if you're on that journey. Also got two amber alerts around this area and if you sit on the left side of the room when you enter, this random bass speaker goes off. Uh good luck and have fun I guess? Timo out.

Yelp
A great place for Honduran food! We had the Pollo Hondureño, Pescado Frito Hondureño, and baleada. All of the plates were delicious and filling! The tajadas are seasoned and fried perfectly. The salsa that they used all over the plates paired well with the cabbage and tajadas. The aguas are made from fresh fruit and you can really taste it! It's a small spot but with plenty of seating and Honduran decor all around. The service was friendly but a bit slow. Would recommend and will return for sure!

Yelp
This place is an amazing family owned restaurant. The owner and staff are very friendly with an amazing energy. The food is amazing!!! They have the best Baleada's I have ever tasted! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. A+

Yelp
Do you want authentic well made Honduran food? Well you've come to the right place! Wait time for food is a bit long but definitely worth it. The food has always come out being fresh and well made so if you're by LA I'd recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
I really like this place, many of their food is very tasty, the only bad part is that the parking is on the street but food is really good and service. Next time I'll try other things.

Yelp
First time eating at this restaurant and I'm definitely coming back. The service was excellent and although they were short staff the owner was so sweet and friendly. He provided recommendations and was quick to provide with our drinks. I ordered the carne asada baleada and a mixta pupusa. There isn't any parking for the restaurant but we found parking in the side street.

Karina I.

Yelp
Best Baleadas and Honduran food in town, amazing food and service. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
First time having Honduran food. Came here and it was delicious. We had the Honduran chicken soup, purposes, and baleadas. The soup was packed w meat, everything was fresh. The staff was super friendly and helpful, since I was new to the food. Definitely recommended. Street parking is ample, fair prices.

Crystal G.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for over 10 years and I've never been disappointed yet. If you are new to this place please start your order off with a baleada (not sure if thats how you spell it), You wont regret it. The horchata is amazing and my go to entree is the Fried pork chop dinner with casamientos rice and beans. If you're looking for authentic Hoduranian food, this is definitely your go to.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW my breathe has been taken away. Food is amazing, I APPROVE! So delicious everything is 10/10. If you're looking for great cultural food this is the place to come!
google avatar

Evelina R.

Yelp
This place is great. The service is amazing and the food is the best I've had. One of the things that keep me coming back is how fast the food is brought out to you nice and hot. They get soo busy but that doesn't affect their great customer service. Today Adam helped us out for our "morning breakfast date". Adam is so friendly!!!

Yelp
The food was terrible, the baledas were super thin with barely and beans, the sour cream was Mexican not Honduran. Pollo catracho, burned not flavor, tajadas thick and not crispy! Baledas con carne. Me was cut thin, burned. Lastly we paid for 1 pollo estilo Honduras 8 baledas sensillas 2 baledas with meant Total 54.00 Dollars I wish I would've taken a pic of the receipt but there is a 10% "service change" not disclosed on menu. I also picked up so no it was delivered. Never again

Yelp
Just moved to the neighborhood and decided to check out this restaurant. We called and ordered takeout. We ordered four mixed pupusas. When we got home, the food was piping hot and smelled good, so we were excited. When we took a few bites we were disappointed. The pupusas were super bland; they had no flavor at all. Cheese and pork naturally have flavor so this was shocking. The slaw was also bland and seemed like it was just put together and thus the flavors had not melded. I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Yelp
I just finished having a delicious meal at this restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed their delicious baleadas. The server Adam Adam was very friendly and very attentive with every customer that was in the restaurant. Even that he was by himself on the floor, he made sure we were happy and satisfied with our meal. We are definitely coming back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Breakfast was great. Definitely enjoy coming here to grab something to eat. You can't go wrong with a baleadas or pupusas.
google avatar

Josselyn E.

Yelp
This place has the worst service, this is the second time I go here thinking the second time will be better but the service is the worst each time. They make you feel like if you have to thank them for going there. I'm from Honduras and I've tried wayyyy better Hondurean food at other places.

Yelp
Ordered Pupusa Revueltas and they tasted great! They had some hot sauce as well that they made in house which was just the perfect balance between heat and pain.

Yelp
Food was delicious!! This Honduran restaurant really delivers on the taste and value for the food that you get. The pollo con tajadas is

Yelp
Best baleadas and strongest coffee! Owned by a very cool family who always remembers you when you come in and are super friendly. I've had baleadas in Central America and these are authentic and delicious. I go here at least once a week.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The waiter was all by himself and had about 6 tables to attend to, but he truly cares about your experience. He was busy answering phone calls and attending all tables. The food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while. Highly recommend! We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home.

Yelp
Great baleadas and fried chicken! Woo! Love this place. We come here with family all the time!

Yelp
Delicious food always! It's my go-to spot for pupusas. Shrimp salad is also really good.

Yelp
Came here to buy Honduran tamales . Bought 2 dozen which they had on hand and ready 2 days before Christmas . The absolute worst tamales I have eaten . We're soggy with a lot of little bones inside from chicken . Save yourself time and money and do not eat or order from here . Disgusting food !!!!!!!

Yelp
Nosotros venimos desde el valle De San Fernando para comer a la comida más rica !! Se las recomiendo nos encanta

Yelp
Visited this establishment about a week ago and have nothing but positive things to say. Our waitress Yanira was friendly despite wearing a mask we could tell she was smiling. She was helpful and attentive. The Restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. My daughter was super happy with her Baleada, my husband (Non Honduran) was satisfied with his Carne Asada with Tajadas and even asked when we were going to return. I had been craving Pollo con Tajadas and that's what I ordered. No complaints. Delicious. I ordered a Pupusa Mixta just to try it and it was good. We went despite the negative reviews and try for ourselves. Glad we did. Although I cook Honduran food on the daily, it is good to have a place that will serve authentic homemade food. Why not 5 stars? Well I would give them 4.5. Not perfect because parking can be hard to come by and the food did take a bit to be served. That said, neither is a deterrent for not going back.

Yelp
This place was a 5 star before covid quality of food was terrible my baliada was cold and stale the carne asada was more like Mystery meat gross. I will never go back thumbs down. The one thing service was good and the coffee.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
SO GOOD! Great service and the food is outstanding. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Yelp
After not eating Honduran food for 5 years I was really excited to try it again! I ordered Tajadas for myself and pupusas for my boyfriend! I was not disappointed and the food was just like I remembered My boyfriend also loved the pupusas! The staff was very nice and even took some photos for us! Definitely a great experience. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Visited this spot over the weekend when I found out they had opened again. Bought food for the whole family (literally MY WHOLE FAMILY about 13 people) They all loved it as did I! Verity is great and the food was amazing! Definitely coming back. The service was great! Place was clean and food delicious. What more can you ask for. MUST TRY!!!

Yelp
I came here this afternoon with some friends for the first time, and I absolutely regretted! Usually I am the one who give my friends options on where/what to eat but having no data in my phone I let one of them decide. They were craving baleadas (the Honduran's version of tacos) and this place came up first. So here we were ordering a few options of their baleadas, their fried green banana with ground beef plate, a Honduran steak plate and some aguas (horchata, passion fruit, and nance). Let me tell you that their ground beef with fried banana was flavorless and stale like the ground beef was seating there with no lid on for an entire day. It was a poor excuse of tajadas con carne molida plate. Nothing compare to those I've tasted at my Honduran friends' houses or other Hondurans restaurants. Neither the tomato sauce nor the mayo-ketchup sauce they have save the plate! Now let me tell you about my friend's "steak" was just fat and deep grains with small pieces of meat in it. My friend is not picky with her food and she did not even touch the "steak" nor the rice. The aguas were just that flavored water with sugar. I am no expert on Honduran food but you can tell when the quality and flavor of food is mediocre. The only thing enjoyable were the baleadas and the amiable young girl who served us. They charged $1 for cards payments. I am so not coming back here though. If I want baleadas I could have better somewhere else too.

Yelp
The worst place to eat. I went yesterday with a group of friends, The empanadas were old and not fresh , the Jamaica wasn't good anymore & they were still serving it & they don't answer any calls . Do they not want to have business ? Me and my friends tried calling and they won't pick up it says busy but we been calling for an hour already and calls won't go through. Instead we came to el sazon down the block.

Yelp
Our 2nd time visiting from Fresno. The first time they took about an hour for our last dish ordered to make it to the table. Owner explained that the original dish was not up to standards and they had to make it again. We decided to try it again today . They were very busy and had one person be the waiter , bus boy , and manager. We ordered all our dishes at the same time. Waited an hour for most , and one dish took 1 1/2 hours, again manager/bus boy/waiter said the quality wasn't right, and it was burned so they had to do it all over again. By the time the dish was going to make it to our table all the rest of the food would have been cold , and most of it was because we wanted to wait. We canceled the dish. We will not be back , even though the food is delicious, the owner doesn't understand that they must hire a bus boy, and some waiters or waitresses. Let the manager manage the restaurant. I recommend they watch Bar Rescue.. They will understand what it takes to run a profitable business. You must invest back in your business and get qualified people to assist , one person can't do it alone !! Best Wishes to this restaurant!!

Yelp
Pros - clean place, friendly staff, close to my place Cons - Food is average/decent, not great!
google avatar

Yelp
I can't get over this place ! Their service is AMAZING I love coming here and the food ? Dios mio ! Definitely recommend this place to ANYONE because you won't have the chance to finish because they give you so much food, they probably think you never eat but of course I don't mind because it is amazing !! I love this place!

Yelp
My wife and I only came here because our favorite location Doña Bibi's was closed... and I wasn't about to waste time and gas driving to Los Angeles for nothing. It was pretty good. Decent price and nice staff. I honestly don't think I'd return only cause I like Doña Bibi's more.
google avatar

Garcia K.

Yelp
Really bad service from both ladies that were "waitresses". Food was pretty bad too no taste whatsoever.

Janelle S.

Yelp
Worst place to go in Los Angeles. They charged me 31.99 for five beleadas and two drinks. I asked to look at the menu for what reasoning and it said that their Beleadas were 2.50 but the lady that was taking care of us said that it was 3.50. And the beleadas we're small.

Yelp
The best Honduran restaurant in LA! The food was very authentic. I took two friends to try Honduran food for their first time and they loved it! The people who work there were very nice! We order for to go for Covid situation but we are totally going back
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
I've only tried the pupusas so I can't speak for anything else. Pupusas are good but nothing special good spot if you're in the area and craving them.
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
The food is very good Ive learned the Honduran food through this and though my husband it's pretty good I would recommend it if you want to try something different
google avatar

Nayeli S.

Yelp
One of the restaurants I've been to. Amazing atmosphere and great costumer service! The food is hands down the best Honduran food I've had. I've also seen them active with the community, giving back and working hard even during a world pandemic! Definitely recommend this spot!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
This is the BEST place for Honduran food! Everything tastes like home! I've tried all types of baleadas, pupusas, pastelitos de carne, enchiladas, salpicón, plátanos maduros, chuletas, and more! I am totally addicted to the papaya shake! Be advised that they make everything to order, so it takes 15-20 minutes for your order to get to the table.
google avatar

Loui R.

Yelp
One of L.A's best kept secrets, I've been coming here for years and any chance I get I try to bring friends and family. If you're looking for authentic food like your mom or grandma cook. This is the spot to visit.
google avatar

Paulina G.

Yelp
The pupusas here are amazing! I love their habanero sauce and mixing it with the salsa. I also enjoy their agua de ensalada so good.

Yelp
Dude, seriously? There are Rincon Honureno haters out there?! I've been to RH a bunch of times while on a trip to LA and I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome it was. I'm from the Va/ DC/ Md area and there are very few Honduran restaurants, much less good ones. RH delivered every single time-- food was quick (and more importantly, tasty) and the service was friendly. Also, you can get your quick fix of Telemundo every single time you visit. Win win situation. I had the huevos rancheros- it was delicious. Add a couple sips of horchata and you're cruising for a siesta you didn't even know was on your agenda for the day. The only complaint I have was that the coffee was consistently weak every single time I came here for breakfast. When you come in, hungover or otherwise, it's always nice to have a strong cup of brew with breakfast. All else though? Bueno.
