RING Baked Tofu Donuts

Someone bought us some of these and they had to freeze it because we don't live close by. But 30 seconds in our microwave and it turned out nice and soft. About these 'donuts' though, besides the shape I would not consider this a donut, it felt more like a cake. It was nice and moist, but it lacked a lot of flavor. Reading their website, they're trying to promote a healthier alternative, which is nice, but to us it was just okay. Also, it's very small and cost $3.00 each.

These were so good! (Went specifically out of my way for them while visiting LA..) love making tofu pancakes and these had the similar spongy texture. If y’all ever decide to expand to Denver I’ll happily assist in making it possible and becoming a regular customer✨

Tasty offerings. I was apprehensive at first when my niece absolutely insisted we visit. I should listen to her more often. The shop is small, but clean. While it includes some cute merch and a fun area to draw, the shop is a very small area and more suited for take-away orders. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture of the donuts. They are lightly sweet and carry a cakelike texture...and easy to scarf down with a coffee or tea. Stop by and enjoy a treat...bonus...they are affordable!

This is the kind of shop that you would fall in love by just walking in. The small shop boasts cute and authentic small toys imported from Japan. After the first sip, you know that the matcha and the coffee are made with a strong passion for quality and service. The donuts are of course unique in their own right.

The best donuts ever!!! They are so delicious, come in so many flavors, vegan options, and they are definitely so much healthier of a treat than a regular donut because they are baked as well as smaller (yet still satiating). The matcha is also awesome. Family-owned so you know where your money is going! Cannot recommend enough - they are #1 for a reason!!!

I got the ube and banana donuts and they were so good (ik I was surprised too). The coffee is also v good. I got the iced sea salt foam cream thing and it was also p good. They did make a mistake with my coffee order but promptly fixed it. This place is awesome and definitely one of the better coffee spots in the area. IT'S ALSO ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE. I paid less than 12 bucks for a large coffee, 2 donuts, and a 15% tip.

I was extremely hesitant to eat a donut in the first place because I eat completely Keto. That means I avoid sugar and carbs. Since I was about to play a couple hours of pickleball I decided to make an exception, but really after I learned about the ingredients, I felt I could eat it guilt free. What an amazing treat it was. It was delicious, but also somehow tasted light and the opposite of how a regular donut would make me feel (like I just made a mistake by consuming a tiny sugar bomb). For some reason, if I consume a regular donut, I feel guilty, like it was such a waste. Not with this, I actually kept thinking about how delightful it was throughout my entire game. I’m actually going to find a way to add this in as a regular treat for myself. Can’t wait to try all of the flavors!

Best coffee in the Valley, and friendly staff that make you feel like family. Our family has been getting healthy coffee and doughnuts here for years.

If you want healthy baked tofu donuts, this is the place. If you like the fried, super sweet and unhealthy kind, you probably won't like it as much. Sometimes, we all just want the unhealthy kind. When you wanna try a healthier alternative, come here. This place is very unique. I have been wanting to try it for a while. I got half a dozen that included earl grey, green tea, mochi, honey, double chocolate and chocolate chip. I made the mistake of just eating it straight out of the package. Definitely recommend warming it up in a microwave for at least 10 seconds. It will be a lot better.

This place is a true hidden gem, it's been around forever and you might just walk right past it! A quick tip: parking is around back, which is super helpful. Once inside, you'll see it's a tiny, cozy spot absolutely packed with anime figures. It's a really fun, unique vibe. The star of the show was definitely Sarah, who helped us pick our tofu donut. She was so friendly and gave us the best advice. She told us to mix our Iced Mocha Sea Salt and Matcha Sea Salt drinks to really taste the sea salt flavor... and she was totally right! It was delicious. LOL! For the donuts, we tried Matcha, Red Velvet, and Ube. The Matcha was the clear winner for us, you could really taste the authentic flavor. The others were good, but the Matcha was just more flavorful. We'll 100% be back to try the other flavors! If you're looking for something different and delicious, this quirky little spot is worth seeking out.

We love this s placed stayed open. The prior owners were so sweet, and we are happy to see that new ownership is also so polite and welcoming. This place is tucked away all by itself at the ground level of a commercial building that is on the far corner across the target parking lot of the Westfield Topanga Mall. It has a loyal following that continues to grow.

This place is super cute and creative inside! I absolutely love the donuts here and the drinks are lovely as well. If you need any recommendations, the staff here are super kind and willing to help! One of my favorite places in the Valley. :)

Really good service and delicious donuts. Lots of street parking. Definitely worth the drive. I got alot of different flavors but my favorite was the ube and chocolate so far. Their donuts are very moist and not too sweet. Never new that gluten free donuts can be this good. I also got a decafe sea salt cream coffee, which i didnt like, it was smoky and bitter. I'll try their matcha next time!

This store is so cute and had lots of pikachu decor around! Service was quick and efficient. Their sea salt matcha drink is yummy! The color is amazing and matcha has a light mellow note, perfect for beginners. If you are looking for a nutty or umami note, this isnt it, but if you enjoy lighter everyday matcha this will satisfy you! I also tried their ube donut and it was so delicious. It is moist and kind of reminds me of a denser donut, spongy, but more healthy since it is baked and not fried! I love the concept and will definitely be back go try more flavors!

Such a cute place! Staff was warm and welcoming and pikachu everywhere. Got the sea salt cream hojicha which was smooth and earthy, earl Grey and ube donut which were both super tasty. We will def be back.

One of my fave spots for sweet treats. The earl grey, matcha, and chocolate chip donuts are my favorite while my daughter enjoys the ube and chocolate donuts. The yuzu and matcha lemonades are refreshing! We usually find street parking right in front of the shop. So happy a new family took over from the original owners to keep this gem open!

Vegan tofu donuts? Had to try this ... Such a cute, and very clean, welcoming interior. Lovely staff. Really appreciate that each of the donut options are displayed. The order: a mix of matcha lemonade and yuzu lemonade. Genius combo - bright flavor and so refreshing! We tried two donuts: honey and the special of the day, which was pandan. Small (but honestly, just the perfect size) and very moist. The honey is a light flavor. The oandan is bright green and vanilla aroma. With our loyalty stamp card, we got four large drinks and two donuts for $21. I do t know how they do this, but the quality and service keep us coming back every time we're in the area!

Ring is the best coffee and donut shop around! My go-to order is the Sea Salt Cream Iced Coffee and an Ube donut! There's always new flavors to try and seasonal drinks. The service is always friendly and quick. There's always parking on the street (on Owensmouth Ave). I especially love all the decorations around the shop. Will keep coming back!

Love all the flavors! My personal favorite is the vegan banana. Even though I'm not vegan myself, I find that the texture & taste of all the vegan ones super yummy. You could get any of the donuts & not be disappointed. Also their sea salt cream matcha is top 5 in the valley! Juliette & her family are very kind people too :)

Very unique concept, very tasty donuts. They are healthier tasting than other sweets and the sweetness is very mellow but very good flavors. It is the spongiest texture and it's the perfect cake/mochi texture ever. The ube and double chocolate flavors are so good. The matcha options are good too, not the strongest matcha I've had but still decent. Fast service, nice staff, not a lot of seating but very intimate and cute space

I LOVE Ring, got put on by friends over a year ago and have not stopped coming in. The owners are super sweet and the matcha is the best & strongest I've had in the valley. It's a small shop really close to the Topanga Mall but still has seating outside to sit and chill at. Love their tofu donuts as well :))

Yummy gluten free donuts made from tofu. I stop by any time I'm in the area. They also have great matcha and coffee lattes and other drinks. They do close on the earlier side, so go there before your other errands. Great service too

Such a cute little place ! Affordable and very cozy. This is my second time trying out there matcha and I absolutely lovely!

My husband and I are regulars at this spot and we love, love, love, the donuts and drinks. My favorite donut is the honey donut - perfectly flavored, not too sweet and more yummy than regular donuts without the heavy, gross feeling that regular donuts give me! Our favorite drink is the sea salt iced coffee that comes with a cream top - so, so good! So grateful to the new owner who took over the tradition when the original owners returned to Japan. This is a true gem - and I love that it is a local business with all its charm, originality, and warmth. Just note that there is very limited seating and it is tiny - more of a grab 'n go place though there is a small outdoor patio with some seating which is convenient for when the weather is nice and you want a quick snack.

This was my second time coming in and I'm so happy that I found this truly unique donut store. It gives off a "boutique" vibe and the family that owns/runs the store are the sweetest and kindest people. I have tried the double chocolate, chocolate chip, matcha, red velvet, chai tea, ube vegan and banana vegan donuts and my favorites so far are the chocolate chip, double chocolate and chai tea. Not that the others aren't good - but these are my go to favorites. I love that the donuts are gluten free and not overly sweet. Each one has a unique flavor and they are very conscious about using local organic ingredients whenever possible. I also tried the sea salt cream iced matcha green tea which was very flavorful. I don't think I would order it with the cream again because it was a bit too heavy for my liking. I'm looking forward to trying their other drinks like the Matcha Lemonade and sweetened iced matcha drink. I highly recommend popping in and trying some of their delicious baked goodies! You won't be disappointed.

A nice hidden gem! The really liked there Ube donut. Their iced matcha with salted foam was really good. The lady taking the orders recommended their popular donut flavors which was a great choice after trying. The spot is small but nice. The decor was nice and had a lot of Amie items for sale.

The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. We love coming in for our sea salt foam matcha and coffees and of course the donuts. The shop itself is so cute all the whimsical decor is always fun to find a new trinket I haven't noticed before. it's such a cute place it's definitely a must try.

Delicious!!!!! I bought a dozen and can't wait to try all the flavors. So far I've had the Earl gray and cheesecake and they were delicious. I don't like very sweet desserts and these were just right. Warm them up and they are on a different delicious level . These donuts are made with ingredients I can actually pronounce . Since the donuts are baked I didn't feel gross after eating them like I do when I have a fried donut. Also got the Yuzu lemonade and it was perfect during these hot summer days. Place is cute and has Pikachu Chachkies all round the shop. The service was super friendly. There is street parking and both inside and outside seating.

There are a few businesses that I have reviewed over the years that are so extremely special. Ring Baked Tofu Donuts (RBTD) is certainly one of these. It isn't just the donuts and the drinks (OMG! Those drinks!!!). It was never just that. It was a combination of the owners, how cute and homey the decor was, the quality of their locally sourced ingrediants, etc, etc, etc. It's just a stellar place. And what's the scariest part of a business like this? Yes, you're right, when it changes ownership. When this occurred we were honestly not so in a rush to see how things would change. I'm more than a little embarrassed to say that it has taken this long to stop by but today was the day. I needed a place to meet a friend so neither one of us had to drive so far and RBTD was the perfect location. I'm so happy to say that from the moment I opened the door, I knew I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Juliette and her mom Jerri couldn't have been more accommodating and delightful. The donuts and the amazing drinks were not only the same but possibly even a little better. It's a little difficult to improve upon perfection, so I'm not absolutely sure. There were even a few new additions to the lineup to make things interesting. The orange and chocolate is a new personal favorite and the expanded vegan options really pleased my friend. The Sea Salt Iced Coffee, as usual, disappeared before I knew what happened. Every time I tell myself that I'm going to slow down and savor it but t's impossible, it's just that good. My friend also inhaled his Sea Salt Matcha with oat milk. The donuts were just as tasty and moist with the perfect sweetness as always. Please go try RBTD. If you haven't, you're really missing something special. Please excuse the length of this review. It was partly a letter of apology. I should have known better that Aya and Mitsu wouldn't have turned their ultra unique creation over to anyone who wasn't 100% worthy. Thank you Juliette and Jerri for your dedication and passion:)

Best donut I've eaten. I would definitely come back. Parking is a little difficult to find but worth it

I grew up in the valley and I love donuts. So I would pass by this spot all the time! And when I saw they had donuts I put it on my bucket list but just never stopped by. Big part was because of the location. It's really tucked in and not very marketed. But finally I got to stop by after years of passing by. I went on a Saturday afternoon and parking was very simple. Same parking lot as the building and you don't have to pay. It looks like it at a glance but you just go in and parking was empty. Most likely because it's the weekend and no one's working at this building and again, the coffee shop is tucked in so not many people know about it. You have to enter through their entrance not the lobby entrance because it's locked. On to the food, I got a matcha tofu donut, one of their popular ones. Loved the texture, not dry or too cakey just nice and smooth. Taste was good not too sweet. The donuts are pretty small for $3 so just fyi. I got their popular sea salt cream iced matcha tea and it's refreshing but not sweet at all. Their small is a 16 oz so that's nice. I paid $8 total for the matcha tea and matcha donut and I was satisfied! Considering there's 16oz coffees now up to $9 now. I'll come back and stop by to try more of their donuts and drinks and most likely on the weekend because I have a feeling parking is packed during the work week. Really cute inside to hang out however there is no WiFi.

Hadn't been in a long while and the need for office treats arose. Called in to check availability and then took myself over on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Was able to quickly scoop up a couple dozen before their day off next day. Though new faces behind the counter, the shop is still the welcoming space it was made into with tributes to the creators. The new owner and operator crafting the donuts is a friendly and professional. And the donuts are as great as I remember, maybe even. better. Tried the new regular banana donut and then a limited Thai Tea donut. Will make sure to drop in more often on that side of the valley for matcha or coffee.

My cousins and I have been coming here for almost 10 years and I can't believe it took me this long to write a review. The first thing I have to mention is when you first walk in, the store is super cute and very well decorated with a lot of Japanese-inspired animated films. Also, I'd like to mention that the customer service is above and beyond. I absolutely adore the owners of this place-they are both so incredibly sweet. About their menu items, my favorite has always been their sea salt coffee. It's the MOST perfect coffee in the valley. My cousins love their matcha and said no one else can make matcha as good as Ring does. As for donuts, my favorite ones are the chocolate chip one and Earl Gray. It's even better if you heat it up for 10 seconds in the microwave and eat it warm. The photos I posted were from 2016 :) I highly recommend trying this place!

Hole in the wall mom and pop shop with the sweet Japanese couple heading the shop :) (and they allow dogs inside!) If it weren't for the name of the place, I would have no idea the donuts are made from tofu. They are definitely denser than your regular donut but the flavors here are elite. They have it down in a way where the flavors aren't too overpowering, but it tastes just like how you would expect it to. I don't come here too often, but when I do, I get 3-4 donuts at a time LOL. Given their ingredients, it is a little pricier than your regular donut but it is 100% worth it!!

I am completely obsessed with Ring and wish that they had one in Orange County! My friend sent me a dozen and it was delivered to my mailbox carefully! It was packaged extremely well so you don't have to worry about any of them crumbling. I love the matcha and the honey donuts and they are gluten-free which is so cool. You can put them in the toaster and they give you instructions on how to care for your precious donuts I just hope they're not 5000 cal each.

was in the area looking for a cafe nearby and stumbled upon this spot! tofu donuts piqued my interest and I had to give them a try! I didn't see that they had garage parking on yelp but I also wasnt able to find a parking garage so I parked a bit further down the street maybe a block away. upon entering, I thought the shop was small but filled with lots of cute unique decor! a worker came out to take our order and she seemed super sweet! my friend and I ordered the sea salt matcha and a donut for each of us sea salt green tea matcha - honestly better than I expected, but not as high quality as it would be from a more matcha-centered cafe. it was decent and the sea salt cream was a nice addition to the drink! matcha green tea donut - had a good green tea smell but the taste wasnt that great imo. it had a bit of a funk to it that I wasn't a huge fan of. texture was great though! ube donut - this really blew me away! when I first opened the package, the smell instantly caught my attention and I had a feeling it'd be good. the flavor was there and it didn't taste artificial or bland like many other ube items I've had. like the other tofu donut, it was extremely moist and had a good bite to it. these donuts aren't as light and fluffy as regular ones; they're more like a dense cupcake/cake texture that you can bite through. I did think they were a bit on the smaller side but since they're so dense, they do feel heavier. prices were p reasonable and I liked that they included the ingredients on the menu (see pic). would def come back to try their other flavors and snag more ube donuts!

Today i was introduced to Tofu doughnuts! I went in skeptical but left extremely impressed. I bought a half dozen variety and went to my car to leave. I ate the chocolate chip banana doughnut and immediately returned and bought two more gift packs!!! One for me and one to share with my family. The owner is absolutely amazing for her knowledge of the product. She is a good sales person. This is a family owned business and I love to support family business. To all my Yelp followers please go and enjoy!!

Honestly a Hidden Gem, I love coming here and I would greatly suggest giving this a place a try. I love the sea salt iced coffee with caramel and I'll usually get a chocolate chip tofu donut along side it. If your not into coffee I definitely recommend the Yuzu Lemonade. Its sweet without being too sweet and alittle tart which I love. The staff is also amazing and super kind and I love the decor as well. They make the business feel super homey and I can't recommend this place enough!

Best donuts ever. My boyfriend and I wanted a sweet treat and we saw this place. We saw the reviews and instantly wanted to try. These 5 star reviews are not lying. They are genuinely the best donuts ever and this is coming from someone who is not really fond of donuts. We got the chocolate chip and matcha donuts and they were super good. And of course the matcha drink is very good. This is a very inviting place with cute decor and the staff are very sweet. This is my new spot for sweet treats!
