29 International & Specialty Grocery Stores In NYC - New York - The Infatuation
"You can get a sense for the diversity of Brazilian cuisine by going to any of the spots on our Best Brazilian Restaurants Guide, but for the full picture, you should head to Rio Market in Astoria. This huge grocery store sells everything from frozen acai and pao de queijo, to DIY feijoada kits and cuts of cupim (beef hump of a Zebu cattle). In the event that you’d rather let the experts do the cooking, check out the all-day restaurant inside, where you can get a phenomenal misto quente sanduiche or a big platter of picanha with rice and farofa." - hannah albertine, nikko duren
The 13 Best Brazilian Restaurants In NYC - New York - The Infatuation
"Many of the best Brazilian restaurants in the city are buffet-style, with salads, hot food, and churrasco sold by the pound. They all have their specialties, but Rio Market stands out for its wide selection of Brazilian salads. Attached to a small grocery store, this buffet looks like any other fluorescent-lit hot bar, save for their elaborate salad set-up, which is something we’d expect to see at a tropical wedding. The best way to eat here is to stop by the bbq window to order juicy picanha and linguiça by the pound, then fill your plate with tuna ceviche, hearts of palm, and chicken salad topped with shoestring potatoes while you wait for your meat in the dining area." - neha talreja, matt tervooren
Rio Market - Review - Astoria - New York - The Infatuation
"Astoria has several buffet-style Brazilian restaurants, and we’ve had great meals at Point Brazil and Villa Brazil Café Grill when in need of a pile of homestyle food after a long day. But the top spot goes to Rio Market. Attached to a small grocery store, this buffet and churrascaria looks like any other fluorescent-lit hot bar, but the salad set-up is something we’d expect to see at a tropical wedding. Stop by the bbq window first to order juicy picanha and linguiça by the pound, then fill your plate with ancho-spiced tuna ceviche, chopped salads with hearts of palm, and chicken salad with shoestring potatoes while you wait in the dining area. Afterwards, you can choose from around 20 different brands of frozen pao de queijo to take home." - Neha Talreja

"A specialty store in Astoria open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. that still makes deliveries and stocks Brazilian items such as Pão de Queijo and snacks like Batata Palha." - Charu Suri
My go-to when I need some authentic Brazilian food! The prices are great and they have a fantastic selection of Brazilian pastries. Food is pay per pound ranging from $11.99-$13.99 depending on your selection. This is a local gem and there are always people coming in and out for the great food!

Rio Market and Rio Bonito restaurant is a place which I go to every week. Their food is very good and so is their service. I recommend this place especially for Brazilian people that miss that authentic Brazilian food which is hard to find here outside of home. The quality here is very good, both at the restaurant and at the supermarket. My wife and I are able to find original Brazilian products that are made available to the Brazilian community in Astoria only because Rio Market exists. The food is fresh and well made, if there is any issue they will fix the problem and will provide very good customer service. This is a place that I come to for years and will continue to come to for years to come. If you do not know Brazilian food come to Rio Bonito to try it. You won't be dissapointed. Paulo.

I had the most fantastic experience with the lovely people at Rio Market, especially with Vanessa! We had an office event this past Wednesday and Vanessa showed me an assortment of what they could provide for my budget and the number of people coming. She even made sure to check in the day of and delivery of the food was prompt! The food was absolutely amazing everyone loved it and we were so happy that there was a gluten free option. All in all we’d definitely come back again!

Love this place. They have great food and market all in one.
Breakfast is great since they usually have a deal. Last time I went I paid $5 for break fast
Which included; eggs a hash brown and bacon. Amazing.
Also I go for the coxinhas
It’s like a pear shaped empanada stuffed with seasoned chicken, corn and sometimes cream cheese. My favorites.
They also have fresh juices available.
Lunch time is also great since they have a great selection of meat and traditional Brazilian food. Very homemade feel and taste which is love.

Was waiting to order, they made me order with another lady… no relay system between them, waiting so long for mid food. Maybe tell your employees to work like normal people. There was about 5 people eating total not busy, yet they seemed overwhelmed. Bruh

Been meaning to try this place out for the Buffet. They have plenty of seating for dine in or take out. Everything looked fresh and clean. The meat was flavorful.
Got 1 lb to go. 11.99. Great food for a great price.
