"After popping up with a coffee cart for a year, Ripple Cafe opened a permanent shop at 1906 Dorchester Ave. in Ashmont on February 28; owners James Guerrier and Elle Ducheine signed a three-year lease on the former Flat Black Coffee Company space near the Ashmont MBTA station and serve Counter Culture coffee (hot and iced), tea, and pastries." - Eater Staff
"We’ve already praised the iced coffee at Ripple in our coffee shop guide, but there’s always room for more. At least, that’s what we took away from a recent rewatch of Sister Act. Thankfully, Ripple’s cold brew stands the test of time, which is more than we can say of the movie." - joel ang

"A former pop-up, Ripple Cafe put down roots in Ashmont in 2019, where it’s been pouring cups of coffee and dishing out good vibes ever since. Head into the hip spot to savor some hot or iced coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and avocado toast. Ripple is open for takeout and delivery via its website, and delivery via Doordash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats." - Nathan Tavares
"Ripple is a great coffee shop in Dorchester, with excellent iced coffees and an ample space to work in. It’s also one of the few Black-owned coffee shops in the city. All three things make Ripple one of our favorite places to get our caffeine fix." - Joel Ang

"Located in Dorchester’s Ashmont section, this coffee shop opened on February 28 after its owners spent a year operating a pop-up coffee cart in a Codman Square restaurant and running a successful GoFundMe to secure a permanent home. They signed a three-year lease on the former Flat Black Coffee Company space close to the Ashmont MBTA station and serve Counter Culture coffee (hot or iced), along with tea and pastries. The owners, James Guerrier and Elle Ducheine, plan to partner with local businesses and social ventures, provide a living wage plus staff training and growth opportunities, and donate a portion of profits to local civic and non-profit organizations aligned with their values. Current hours are weekdays 7 a.m.–7 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m.–4 p.m., and closed on Sundays for now." - Dana Hatic
