We visited Rise Rooftop Lounge for my wife's cousin's 16th birthday, and while he couldn't drink, we all enjoyed the stunning views of the Anaheim skyline. The hostess let us know there's a 15-minute grace period for reservations and a 2-hour max from when the server greets you, which was helpful. Unfortunately, we missed the fireworks due to an earlier reservation, but we did notice quite a few empty seats when we left, despite the hostess saying they were fully booked for the fireworks time. It was odd to see the bar side packed but our side only about 80% full--possibly due to fire safety or weight limits?
The service, however, was fantastic! Our server was super attentive, keeping the soft drinks coming and making sure everyone was happy. I wish I remembered his name, but he really made the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Where I dock one star is the food situation. It tastes amazing, but they have a rotating menu that changes, and the menu online didn't match what we were given that night. As a picky eater, I was relieved to find something, but for those with allergies or more particular tastes, I recommend calling ahead to confirm the menu. The food is mostly appetizers, which are shareable but not very filling, and the prices are high for what you get. After several rounds of wings and sliders, the kids were still hungry. Rise Rooftop Lounge is giving corporate Friday night vibes rather than a birthday celebration.
That being said, the views and service really make this place worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a chill night with small bites and drinks. Just keep in mind, if you're looking for a more substantial meal, you might need to look elsewhere or prepare to order a lot.
